Nine transitions (ranging from 475 till 733 nm) between the excited configuration 3d 5 4s 5s and 3d 5 4s 4p of55Mn were investigated with computer supported interference spectroscopy. Thus the hyperfine structure (hfs) of the four 4s 5s and the twelve 4s 4p levels is now completely known from experiment. The hfs results are discussed with the effective operator technique and for 4s 4p the accuracy of the one-electron parametersa ik could be improved:a 3d 10 =?6.28(24),a 4s 10 =154.0(1.4),a 4p 01 =9.3(8),a 4p 12 =7.7(2.5) in mK. For the configuration 4s 5s — for which fine structure calculations are not yet available — the experimental hfs data prove a practically pureS-character. Besides the one-electron splitting parameters deduced:a 3d 10 =?6.5(5),a 4s 10 =182(3),a 5s 10 =24(3) in mK, permit to determine the degree of mixing between the twoe 6 S 5/2 andf 6 S 5/2 levels which amounts to about 3%.  相似文献

Fine-structure mixing of excited114Cd 53 P J atoms induced by collisions with various molecular gases (N2, H2, D2, CO, CH4, C2H6) has been investigated by a combined method of absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. After pulsed optical excitation of the Cd(53 P 1) level, the time dependence of the population densities has been measured simultaneously both for the 53 P 1 state and for the collisionally populated 53 P 0 state. By analyzing the signal curves at different molecular gas pressures cross sections for collisional transfer between the114Cd 53 P 1 and 53 P 0 levels as well as the quenching cross sections for the 53 P levels have been obtained.  相似文献

Absolute frequencies of hyperfine components of the 230.6 nm (5s 2 1 S 0?5s5p 3 P 1 0 ), 193.6 nm (5s5p 3 P 0 0 ?5s6s 3 S 1), 197.7 nm (5s5p 3 P 1 0 ?5s6s 3 S 1) and 207.9 nm (5s5p 3 P 2 0 ?5s6s 3 S 1) transitions in In II emitted from a hollow-cathode source have been measured using a high-resolution, scanning échelle monochromator. The measured frequencies of these four transitions have been used to determine the energies and hyperfine interaction constants of the 5s5p 3 P 0 0 ,3 P 1 0 ,3 P 2 0 and 5s6s 3 S 1 levels in In II. The hyperfine interaction constants for the dominant isotope115In are found to be: 5s5p 3 P 1 0 A=0.2322(2) cm?1,B=?0.0159(9) cm?1 5s5p 3 P 2 0 A=0.1699(4) cm?1,B= 0.021 (6) cm?1 5s6s 3 S 1 A=0.4022(4) cm?1,B= 0.002 (2) cm?1. The absolute frequency of the very narrow, strongly forbidden In II 236.5 nm (5s 2 1 S 0?5s5p 3 P 0 0 ) transition, which has been proposed as a candidate for a new optical frequency standard, is found to be 42275.986(7) cm?1.  相似文献

In the EUV spectrum of foil-excited 24 MeV Ni ions the decays of the 3s 3p 3 and 3s 2 3p 3d levels to the 3s 2 3p 2 levels of the ground configuration have been observed. For most of the levels decay curves have been obtained. The lifetime results compare well with predictions from semi-empirically scaled HXR calculations. Some problems with cascade repopulations will be discussed.  相似文献

The fine structure of the 1s5f and 1s5g levels of He I was measured using microwave spectroscopy. The helium atoms were excited by ion impact, and the eleven allowed 1s5f 2S+1 F J –1s5g 2S′+1 G J , transitions near ν≈15 GHz were induced and detected by measuring the 1s4d–1s2p or 1s3d–1s2p spectral-line intensities of the impact radiation as a function of the microwave frequency. The measured transition frequencies are in accord with theoretical values and, except for one transition frequency, with earlier experimental data. The existing discrepancy between these earlier data and theory could be solved.  相似文献

Using the non-closed shell many-electron theory for excited states of Sinano?lu we compute the hyperfine structure constants of Be I 1s22s2p 3P0, B I 1s22s2p24P and B I 1s22s2p22D. The quadrupole moment of 9Be is also newly determined to be, Q = 0.05494 barns.  相似文献

The fine structure of the prominent even levels of the neutral tantalum atom has been analyzed by simultaneous parametrization of one- and two-body interactions for the model space (5d+6s)5. The analysis was stimulated by the current discovery of several energy levels. It was possible to clear the configurations and designations of the energy levels given in commonly used tables. Magnetic-dipole hyperfine interaction constants A and electric-quadrupole hyperfine interaction constants B were calculated using the calculated eigenfunctions and adjusting radial integrals in a least-squares procedure which compares the calculated Aand B-constants with the experimental values. The rms error of this fitting procedure confirms the quality of the fine structure analysis. Moreover, wavenumbers and hyperfine constants of 52 further levels, up to now unidentified, are predicted.  相似文献

Topological insulators (TIs) gained high interest due to their protected electronic surface states that allow dissipation-free electron and information transport. In consequence, TIs are recommended as materials for spintronics and quantum computing. Yet, the number of well-characterized TIs is rather limited. To contribute to this field of research, we focused on new bismuth-based subiodides and recently succeeded in synthesizing a new compound Bi12Rh3Sn3I9, which is structurally closely related to Bi14Rh3I9 – a stable, layered material. In fact, Bi14Rh3I9 is the first experimentally supported weak 3D TI. Both structures are composed of well-defined intermetallic layers of 2[(Bi4Rh)3I]2+ with topologically protected electronic edge-states. The fundamental difference between Bi14Rh3I9 and Bi12Rh3Sn3I9 lies in the composition and the arrangement of the anionic spacer. While the intermetallic 2D TI layers in Bi14Rh3I9 are isolated by 1[Bi2I8]2− chains, the isoelectronic substitution of bismuth(III) with tin(II) leads to 2[Sn3I8]2− layers as anionic spacers. First transport experiments support the 2D character of this material class and revealed metallic conductivity.  相似文献

On the basis of the temporal evolutions of the singly, doubly and triply ionized tin (Sn II, Sn III and Sn IV, respectively) spectral line intensities, in the pulsed helium and nitrogen plasmas, the important role of the He I and He II metastables has been observed in the Sn II, Sn III and Sn IV ionization and population processes. According to these processes, one can expect realization of several laser levels in the Sn II (11.07, 11.20, 12.44 and 13.11 eV), Sn III (15.91, 17.82, 19.13 and 20.19 eV) and Sn IV (20.51 eV) spectra. The modified version of the linear, low-pressure, pulsed arc was used as a plasma source operated in helium with tin atoms, as impurities, evaporated from tin cylindrical plates located in the homogenous part of the discharge tube. This plasma source provides good conditions for a generation of the Sn III, Sn IV and Sn V ions at relatively low electron temperatures (below 18,000 K) providing low background radiation around the intense Sn IV and Sn III spectral lines in the helium plasma. The 222.613 ± 0.0005 nm Sn IV line, not observed up to now, has been identified. The marked, but not classified 243.688 nm Sn spectral line is sorted by ionization stages. The shapes of Sn III and Sn IV lines, ranged between 207 nm and 307 nm, have been obtained. At a 17,500 K electron temperature and 1.07 × 1023 m− 3 electron density the Stark broadening was found as the dominant mechanism in the mentioned lines broadening. The measured Stark widths of the prominent nine Sn IV and seven Sn III lines are the first data in the literature. The Stark widths of the intense 229.913 nm and 288.766 nm Sn IV lines can be used for the plasma electron density and temperature diagnostics purposes.  相似文献

Double photoionization of argon was studied by photon induced fluorescence spectroscopy (PIFS). Cross sections for the double photoionization into the 3s3p 5 1 P,3 P states of Ar++ are presented for exciting photon energies between threshold and 120 eV. In the threshold range the energy dependencies of these cross sections were determined for the first time. Singlet and triplet states are populated with comparable probabilities at equal excess energies, in contrast to predictions of the extended Wannier theory. Athv=100 eV the spin-or-bit splitting of the 3s3p 5 3 P state was resolved, and a cross section for the production of Ar++ 3s 03p 6 1 S 0 was determined for the first time.  相似文献

Oscillator strengths for 16 lines of Pd I from 4d95s–4d95p transitions have been derived by combining the adopted lifetimes with the data of branching fractions measured in this work based on the emission spectrum of a hollow cathode lamp. The results have some significant differences compared with the reported in the literature. Among them the results of 13 lines improves the reported data. New results obtained in this paper are useful for more accurate spectra analysis concerning Pd atom.  相似文献

Some terms of the 4s4p 4 configuration in RuXII, RhXIII and PdXIV ions can be improved and all the energy values of the configuration in AgXV can be predicted theoretically by means of a configuration-interaction ab initio analysis for the level structure of the 4s4p 4 configuration along the AsI sequence of KrIV-AgXV ions. Calculations of the wavelengths and oscillator strenghts are presented for the 4s 24p 3-4s4p 4 transition in AgXV.  相似文献

The lifetimes of the 4s4p 3 P 1 and 4s3d 1 D 2 metastable states of Ca have been studied using the time-of-flight technique. Two kinds of observations were performed. First, the exponential decay of the fluorescence, using a (continuous) dc discharge for excitation and then the velocity distribution of the radiating atoms, using a pulsed discharge, were measured. From the combined results of these measurements the lifetimes were derived. The lifetimes of the 4s4p 3 P 1 and 4s3d 1 D 2 states of Ca are determined to be 0.57±0.03 ms and 1.5±0.4 ms, respectively.  相似文献

The tensor polarizability of the (5s5p)3 P 1 level of cadmium atoms in a vapour cell were measured using level crossing technique and opto-magnetic double resonance in parallel electric and magnetic fields. The value of the tensor polarizability obtained from the level crossings is: 2=1.33±0.04 kHz/(kV/cm)2 and from the double resonance is: 2=1.27±0.06 kHz/(kV/cm)2. The angular distribution of the electric-field-inducedE1 radiation is asymmetric with respect to the external electric field direction. Measurement of this asymmetry for the 5s4d 1 D 2 → 5s 2 1 S 0 transition in strontium permits the experimental determination of the 5s5p 1 P 1 → 5s4d1 D 2 decay rate. We report oscillator strengths distribution in the bound region of cadmium corresponding to the 5s5p 3P1  5snd 3D2 (21  n  52) Rydberg transitions. The experiment was performed using two frequency doubled dye lasers simultaneously pumped by a common Nd:YAG laser in conjunction with an atomic beam set-up. The absolute photoionization cross section of the 5s5p 3P1 intermediate state at the 5s 2S1/2 ionization threshold has been measured as 20 (4) Mb using the saturation technique. The measured value of the photoionization cross section at threshold is used to extract the f-values of the above mentioned Rydberg transitions.  相似文献

Depolarization of excited114Cd 5s5p 3 P 1 atoms induced by collisions with various molecular gases (N2, H2, D2, CO, CO2, CH4, C2H6, C2H4) has been investigated using polarized fluorescence spectroscopy. After pulsed optical excitation of the Cd 53 P 1 level with appropriately polarized light the temporal behaviour of Zeeman quantum beats has been observed showing the influence of collisional destruction of orientation and alignment. By analyzing the signal curves at different molecular gas pressures the corresponding depolarization cross sections for114Cd atoms in the 53 P 1 state have been obtained. With regard to a test of a nuclear spin decoupling model for the collisions the cross sections were compared with previously measured hyperfine structure transfer cross sections of113Cd 5s5p 3 P 1 atoms.  相似文献

By optical interference and VUV spectroscopy the doublet system of SbI 5p 26s was investigated, so that now the hyperfinestructure of all 8 levels of 5p 26s (A- andB-splitting constants) are known. From the analysis we receive a spin-orbit parameter ζ5p =3,538(57) cm?1 and from the hyperfine-analysis single electron splitting constantsa 5p 01 =52.4(4.6),a 5p 10 =?1.6(7.3),a 5p 12 =72.3(2.3),a 6s 10 =91.7(4.1),b 5p 02 =?49.6(1.1) andb 5p 11 =30.4(3.2) (all values in mK). For all calculations in the fs- and hfs-analysis the 5p 26s 2 D 3/2 has to be excluded (see discussion). With the figures given above the quadrupole moment121 Q(5p 26s)=?0.44(3) barn was obtained. It is in good agreement with the121 Q(5p 3). For the core-polarization by the 5p electron in the innerfieldns-shells (n=1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and the unpaired 6s electron a field of +500(300) kG was obtained.  相似文献
