We study some classes of functions satisfying the assumptions similar to but weaker than those for the classical B2 function classes used in the research of quasi-linear parabolic equations as well as the ones used in the research of degenerate parabolic equations including porous medium equations. Consequently, we prove that a function in such a class is continuous. As an application, we obtain the estimate for the continuous modulus of the solutions of a few degenerate parabolic equations in divergence form, including the anisotropic porous equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish a Liouville-type theorem for a system of higher-order parabolic inequalities by using the method of test functions and an integral estimate. As an application, we observe the Fujita blow-up phenomena for the corresponding parabolic system, which in particular fills up the gap in the recent result of Pang et. al. (Existence and nonexistence of global solutions for a higher-order semilinear parabolic system, Indiana Univ. Math. J., 55(2006), 1113-1134). Moreover, the importance of this observation is that we do not impose any regularity assumption on the initial data.  相似文献

We prove surface and volume mean value formulas for classical solutions to uniformly parabolic equations in the divergence form with low regularity of the coefficients. We then use them to prove the parabolic strong maximum principle and the parabolic Harnack inequality. We emphasize that our results only rely on the classical theory, and our arguments follow the lines used in the original theory of harmonic functions. We provide two proofs relying on two different formulations of the divergence theorem, one stated for sets with almost C1-boundary, the other stated for sets with finite perimeter.  相似文献

In this article, we prove an individual homogenization result for a class of almost periodic nonlinear parabolic operators. The spatial and temporal heterogeneities are almost periodic functions in the sense of Besicovitch. The latter allows discontinuities and is suitable for many applications. First, we derive stability and comparison estimates for sequences of G-convergent nonlinear parabolic operators. Furthermore, using these estimates, the individual homogenization result is shown.  相似文献

By an involved approach a geometric measure theory is established for parabolic Monge-Ampère operator acting on convex-monotone functions, the theory bears complete analogy with Aleksandrov's classical ones for elliptic Monge-Ampère operator acting on convex functions. The identity of solutions in weak and viscosity sense to parabolic Monge-Ampère equation is proved. A general result on existence and uniqueness of weak solution to BVP for this equation is also obtained.  相似文献

本文考虑全离散插值系数有限元方法求解半线性抛物最优控制问题,其中控制变量用分片常数函数逼近,状态变量和对偶状态变量用分片线性函数逼近.对于方程中的半线性项,先用插值系数技巧处理,再用牛顿迭代法求解.通过引入一些辅助变量和投影算子,并利用有限元空间的逼近性质,得到半线性抛物最优控制问题插值系数有限元方法的收敛性结果;数值算例结果验证了理论结果的正确性.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the divergence parabolic equation with bounded and measurable coefficients related to Hörmander's vector fields and establish a Nash type result, i.e., the local Hölder regularity for weak solutions. After deriving the parabolic Sobolev inequality, (1,1) type Poincaré inequality of Hörmander's vector fields and a De Giorgi type Lemma, the Hölder regularity of weak solutions to the equation is proved based on the estimates of oscillations of solutions and the isomorphism between parabolic Campanato space and parabolic Hölder space. As a consequence, we give the Harnack inequality of weak solutions by showing an extension property of positivity for functions in the De Giorgi class.  相似文献

We consider a state-of-the-art ferroelectric phase-field model arising from the engineering area in recent years, which is mathematically formulated as a coupled elliptic–parabolic differential system. We utilize the maximal parabolic regularity theory to show the local in time well-posedness of the ferroelectric problem in both 2D and 3D spaces, which is sharp in the sense that the local solution is unique and a blow-up criterion is present. The well-posedness result will firstly be proved under some general assumptions. Afterwards we give sufficient geometric and regularity conditions which will guarantee the fulfillment of the imposed assumptions.  相似文献

The asymptotic behavior of the solution with boundary layers in the time-independent mathematical model of reaction–diffusion–advection arising when describing the distribution of greenhouse gases in the surface atmospheric layer is studied. On the basis of the asymptotic method of differential inequalities, the existence of a boundary-layer solution and its asymptotic Lyapunov stability as a steady-state solution of the corresponding parabolic problem is proven. One of the results of this work is the determination of the local domain of the attraction of a boundary-layer solution.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a class of periodic degenerate parabolic system with time delays in a bounded domain under mixed boundary condition. Under locally Lipschitz condition on reaction functions, we apply Schauder fixed point theorem to obtain the existence of periodic solutions of the periodic problem. With quasi-monotonicity in addition, we also show that the periodic problem has a maximal and a minimal periodic solutions. Applications of the obtained results are also given to some nonlinear diffusion models arising from ecology.  相似文献

We study solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with gain, describing optical pulse propagation in an amplifying medium. We construct a semiclassical self-similar solution with a parabolic temporal variation that corresponds to the energy-containing core of the asymptotically propagating pulse in the amplifying medium. We match the self-similar core through Painlevé functions to the solution of the linearized equation that corresponds to the low-amplitude tails of the pulse. The analytic solution accurately reproduces the numerically calculated solution of the NLSE.  相似文献
