Seven new transition metal complexes formulated as [M2(1,4-tpbd)(diimine)2(H2O)2]4+ [M = Zn, Co, Ni, Cd; 1,4-tpbd = N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)benzene-1,4-diamine; diimine is a N,N-donor heterocyclic base like 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy), 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one (dafo)] have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography: [Zn2(1,4-tpbd)(phen)2(H2O)2]4+ (1), [Zn2(1,4-tpbd)(bpy)2(H2O)2]4+ (2), [Co2(1,4-tpbd)(phen)2(H2O)2]4+ (3), [Ni2(1,4-tpbd)(phen)2(H2O)2]4+ (4), [Ni2(1,4-tpbd)(bpy)2(H2O)2]4+ (5), [Ni2(1,4-tpbd)(dafo)2(H2O)2]4+ (6) and [Cd2(1,4-tpbd)(phen)2(H2O)2]4+ (7). Single crystal diffraction reveals that the metals in the complexes are all in a distorted octahedral geometry. The interactions of the seven complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) have been investigated by UV absorption, fluorescence, circular dichroism spectroscopy and viscosity measurements. The apparent binding constants (Kapp) are calculated to be 5.2?×?105 M?1 for 1, 1.05?×?105 M?1 for 2, 5.76?×?105 M?1 for 3, 4.57?×?105 M?1 for 4, 1.29?×?105 M?1 for 5, 1.7?×?105 M?1 for 6, 2.53?×?105 M?1 for 7, the binding propensity to the calf thymus DNA in the order: 3 (Co-phen) > 1 (Zn-phen) > 4 (Ni-phen) > 7 (Cd-phen) > 6 (Ni-dafo) > 5 (Ni-bpy) > 2 (Zn-bpy). Furthermore, these complexes display efficient oxidative cleavage of supercoiled DNA; the Zn(II)/H2O2 and Cd(II)/H2O2 systems efficiently cleave DNA attributed to the peroxide ion coordinated to the Zn(II) and Cd(II), which enhanced their nucleophilicity, this is rare.  相似文献

Self-assemblies of the 2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tptz) and Cu(OH)2 in the presence of dicarboxylate ligands yielded four new complexes, [Cu4(bpca)4(L1)2(H2O)2]·5H2O (1), [Cu2(bpca)2(L2)(H2O)2]·2H2O (2), [Cu2(bpca)2(L3)(H2O)2]·H2O (3), and [Cu2(bpca)2(L4)(H2O)2]·3H2O (4) (bpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amide anion, H2L1 = phthalic acid, H2L2 = succinic acid, H2L3 = maleic acid, H2L4 = acetylenedicarboxylic acid). Their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyzes and further characterized by IR spectra and thermogravimetric analyzes. The five-coordinate Cu ions in 1 are bridged by phthalate to form 1-D chains, which are assembled into 3-D frameworks by extensive hydrogen bonds. Compounds 2–4 possess similar structures, built up of [Cu2(bpca)2(L)(H2O)2] (L = L2 for 2, L3 for 3, L4 for 4) and lattice molecules. The 3-D frameworks of 2–4 are completed by hydrogen bond interactions.  相似文献

Reactions of copper salts, zoledronic acid, and 2,2′-bipyridine/1,10-phenanthroline in aqueous ethanolic solutions afforded four phosphonate oxygen-bridged copper complexes, Cu(bipy)(H4zdn)(HSO4) (1), [Cu2(bipy)2(H2zdn)(H2O)(Cl)]·4H2O (2), [Cu2(phen)2(H2zdn)(H2O)(Cl)]·2.5H2O (3), and [Cu3(bipy)3(H4zdn)(H2zdn)(SO4)]·5H2O (4) (H5zdn = zoledronic acid, bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline). The copper centers of 14 have square pyramidal coordination geometries. The Cu(II) ions are coordinated to bipy/phen, zoledronate, and HSO4?/Cl? forming mononuclear units for 1, dinuclear for 2 and 3, and trinuclear for 4. These building units are further extended into 3-D supramolecular networks via multiple hydrogen bond interactions. Temperature-dependent magnetic properties of 2 and 4 suggest weak antiferromagnetic coupling (J = ?4.53(8) cm?1 for 2, J = ?1.69(4) cm?1 for 4). The antitumor activity of 2 was evaluated against the human lung cancer cell line and indicates effective time- and dose-dependent cytotoxic effects.  相似文献

Three Zn(II) complexes, [Zn2(bpp)2(FNA)2]·H2O (1), [Zn(bpp)(FNA)]·H2O (2), and Zn2(bpp)2(FNA)2 (3) (bpp = 1,3-bi(4-pyridyl)propane, H2FNA = 4-nitrobenzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid), were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction methods, IR spectroscopy, TG analyses, elemental analyses, and fluorescent analysis. In 1, the Zn(II) ions are linked by FNA anions and bpp into 2-D layers. The Zn(II) ions in 2 are bridged by FNA anions into chiral chains, which are interlinked by bpp into 3-D metal–organic framework with (65·8) CdS topology. Complex 3 features 1-D zigzag chains, which are interconnected by bpp ligands to give a 3-D framework with (6·74·8)(64·7·8) topology. Complexes 2 and 3 exhibit significant ferroelectric behavior (for 2 remnant polarization Pr = 0.050 μC cm?2, coercive field Ec = 1.13 kV cm?1, saturation of the spontaneous polarization Ps = 0.239 μC cm?2; for 3 Pr = 0.192 μC cm?2, Ec = 4.64 kV cm?1, Ps = 0.298 μC cm?2).  相似文献

Two heterometallic [K4M4(HL)4(H2O)12] (M=Co (1), Ni (2)) and two homometallic [M2L(H2O)7]?·?2H2O ((M=Co (3), Ni (4)) (H4L?=?(2-(bis(carboxymethyl)amino) terephthalic acid) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR spectrum, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The isomorphous 1 and 2 contain K+ and M2+, in which K+ were bridged with M2+ through μ-HL3? and μ-H2O, leading to 2-D layer structures. The isomorphous 3 and 4 show homometallic binuclear complexes with μ-HL3? as the bridging ligand. Various H-bonds including different H-bond helical chains form, by which 3 and 4 assemble into 3-D supramolecular frameworks. TG analysis indicates that the decomposition temperatures are [K4M4(HL)4(H2O)12] (1)?>?[M2L(H2O)7]?·?2H2O (3)?>?H4L.  相似文献

Three new Zn(II) complexes, [Zn(ox)(imb)] (1), [Zn2(mal)2(imb)2] (2), and [Zn(suc)(imb)]·H2O (3) (imb = 2-(1H-imidazolyl-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole, H2ox = oxalic acid, H2mal = malonic acid, H2suc = succinic acid), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 is a 3-D framework with a 4-connected diamond topology with the topological notation of 66. Complex 2 exhibits 2-D layers with (6,3) networks. Complex 3 displays a 3-D framework constructed through unusual 2-D → 3-D parallel interpenetration of corrugated 2-D (6,3) networks. IR spectra, PXRD patterns, thermogravimetric curves, and photoluminescence spectra are addressed.  相似文献

Metal carboxylate complexes possess different carboxylate coordination modes, e.g. monodentate, bidentate, and bridging bidentate. Five Zn(II) complexes were prepared and characterized in order to examine their coordination modes in addition to their biological activity. The syntheses were started by preparation of [Zn(ibup)2(H2O)2] (1). Then, different nitrogen-donor ligands reacted with 1 to produce [Zn(ibup)2(2-ampy)2] (2), [Zn(ibup)(2-ammethylpy)] (3), [Zn(ibup)(2,2′-bipy)] (4), and [Zn2(ibup)4(2-methylampy)2] (5) (ibup = ibuprofen, 2-ampy = 2-aminopyridine, 2-ammethylpy = 2-aminomethylpyridine, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, 2-methylampy = 2-(methylamino)pyridine). IR, 1H NMR, 13C{1H}-NMR and UV–vis spectroscopies were used for characterization. The crystal structures of 2 and 5 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Investigation of in vitro antibacterial activities for the complexes against Gram-positive (Micrococcus luteus, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis) bacteria were done using agar well-diffusion method. Complex 1 showed antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Complexes 2 and 3 did not exhibit antibacterial activity. Complex 4 showed antibacterial activity and was chosen for further studies to determine the inhibition zone diameter for different concentrations and to set the minimum inhibitory concentration. The antibacterial activity against most of the bacteria was minimized as a result of the complexation of zinc ibuprofen with 2,2′-bipy in 4.  相似文献

Four new substituted amino acid ligands, N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-glycine acid (HL1), N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-alanine acid (HL2), N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-phenylalanine acid (HL3), and N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-leucine acid (HL4), were synthesized and characterized on the basis of 1H NMR, IR, ESI-MS, and elemental analyses. The crystal structures of their copper(II) complexes [Cu(L1)2]·2H2O (1), [Cu(L2)2(H2O)] (2), [Cu(L3)2(CH3OH)] (3), and [Cu(L4)2(H2O)]·H2O (4) were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The ligands coordinate with copper(II) through secondary amine and carboxylate in all complexes. In 2, 3, and 4, additional water or methanol coordinates, completing a distorted tetragonal pyramidal coordination geometry around copper. Fluorescence titration spectra, electronic absorption titration spectra, and EB displacement indicate that all the complexes bind to CT-DNA. Intrinsic binding constants of the copper(II) complexes with CT-DNA are 1.32?×?106?M?1, 4.32?×?105?M?1, 5.00?×?105?M?1, and 5.70?×?104?M?1 for 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Antioxidant activities of the compounds have been investigated by spectrophotometric measurements. The results show that the Cu(II) complexes have similar superoxide dismutase activity to that of native Cu, Zn-SOD.  相似文献

The complexes [Zn(phenylacetato)2(2-aminopyridin)2] (3), [Zn(phenylacetato)2(1,10-phenanthroline)]·H2O (4), and [Zn(phenylacetato)2(2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline)]·0.5 H2O (5) were prepared and characterized by IR-, UV–Visible, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. BNPP hydrolysis of the complexes and their parent nitrogen ligands showed that the hydrolysis rate of bis-(4-nitrophenyl) phosphate (BNPP) was 1.7 × 105 L mol?1 s?1 for 3, 3.1 × 105 L mol?1 s?1 for 4 and 4.3 × 104 L mol?1 s?1 for 5. Antibacterial activities show the effect of complexation on activity against Gram-positive (S. epidermidis, S. aureus, E. faecalis, M. luteus and B. subtilis) and Gram-negative (K. pneumonia, E. coli, P. mirabilis and P. aeruginosa) bacteria using the agar well diffusion method. Complex 4 showed good activity against G? bacteria except P. aeruginosa, and against G+ bacteria except E. ferabis. Complex 5 showed no activity against G? bacteria, low activity against M. luteus and B. subtilis bacteria and high activity against S. epidemidis and S. aureus. Complex 3 did not show any activity against G? or G+ bacteria.  相似文献

Six heterometallic Zn(II) coordination polymers, Zn(H2O)3(FNA) (1), [NH4]2[Zn(H2O)2(FNA)2] (2), [ZnNa2(FNA)2]·3H2O (3), [ZnK2(FNA)2]·H2O (4), [ZnRb2(FNA)2]·2H2O (5) and [ZnMg(FNA)2]·4H2O (6) (H2FNA = 4-nitrobenzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid), were synthesised by introducing different alkali/alkaline earth (AeI/AeII) metals. These complexes exhibit diverse structures with the different AeI/AeII metals used and distinct ligand coordination modes the ions provide. For 1 and 2, the Zn(II) centres with distorted octahedra are connected by FNA to form 1-D chain structures. The Zn(II) centres in 36 with distorted tetrahedra are linked by FNA to form 2-D anionic grid layers. For 35, these 2-D anionic grid layers are connected by alkali metal (Na, K and Rb) with the O–AeI–O connectivity to exhibit 3-D framework structures, while 6 features a 2-D Zn–Mg network. Luminescence properties of 16 have been investigated.  相似文献

Four coordination polymers, [CsL1(H2O)2]·H2O (1), [CsL2(H2O)2]·H2O (2), [Rb2(L2)2(H2O)2]·2H2O (3) and [RbL3(H2O)] (4), were synthesized by Cs(I), Rb(I) and 4′-hydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonates L1L3 [L1 = 7-methoxy-4′-hydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate, L2 = 7-ethoxy-4′-hydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate, L3 = 7-ethoxy-4′,5-dihydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate]. The crystal structures of 14 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The influences of 4′-hydroxyisoflavone-3′-sulfonate ligands and Cs+, Rb+ on their structural features and self-assembly were investigated. The sulfonates of L1L3 not only coordinate with Cs+ or Rb+ directly, but also bridge the organic region and the inorganic region in 14. Non-covalent interactions such as coordination interaction, ππ stacking interaction and hydrogen bonding assembled 14 into 3-D networks together with the electrostatic interactions between Cs+, Rb+ and the sulfonate anions.  相似文献

Six new coordination complexes, Ln2(2,2′-oba)2(phen)2(ox)(H2O)2 (Ln = Eu 1, Tb 2), Ln4(2,2′-oba)6(phen)2 (Ln = Eu 3, Tb 4), Eu4(2,2′-oba)6(phen)2(H2O) (5), and K[Eu(2,2′-oba)2(phen)2] (6) [2,2′-H2oba = 2,2′-oxybis(benzoic acid), phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, H2ox = oxalic acid] were synthesized by hydrothermal reactions with the same compound molar ratios but different modulatory reagents (MRs). Complexes 1–5 have different 1-D chain structures and 6 shows a mononuclear structure. These complexes form diverse 3-D supramolecular networks through hydrogen bonds. The interaction between these complexes and hippuric acid (HA) or bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by fluorescence spectral analysis. Interestingly, the hippuric acid could quench the luminescence of these complexes while the fluorescence of BSA could be quenched by these complexes. Results suggested that the complexes may be potential luminescent testing reagents for HA or BSA by significant fluorescence quenching of Ln3+ or BSA, respectively, through a static and dynamic quenching process.  相似文献

Four lanthanide complexes, [La2(2,4-DClBA)6(5,5′-DM-2,2′-bipy)2(H2O)2]·2C2H5OH (1) and [Ln(2,4-DClBA)3(5,5′-DM-2,2′-bipy)(C2H5OH)]2 (Ln = Pr(2), Sm(3), Gd(4); 2,4-DClBA = 2,4-dichlorobenzoate; 5,5′-DM-2,2′-bipy = 5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), were synthesized and characterized via elemental analysis, infrared spectra and thermogravimetric analysis (TG). The crystal structures of 1 and 2–4 are different; Each La3+ is nine-coordinate adopting a distorted mono-capped square antiprism, while the Ln3+ ions of 2–4 are all eight-coordinate with a distorted square antiprismatic molecular geometry. There are subtle changes in the local coordination geometry of the lanthanide–5,5′-DM-2,2′-bipy complexes. Binuclear 1 complexes are stitched together via two kinds of hydrogen bonding interactions (OH?O and CH?O) to form 1-D chains along the y axis, while the units of 2–4 are stitched together via CH?O to form 1-D chains along the x axis. TG analysis revealed thermal decomposition processes and thermal stabilities of the complexes. The bacteriostatic activities of the complexes were evaluated against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus.  相似文献

By selecting appropriate ligands, two polyoxidovanadate complexes, [Ni(en)2]3[V18O42Cl]·7H2O·2H3O+ (1) and [H2N(CH3)2]3[PV14O42]·2TMP·6H3O+ (2), have been synthesized at different pH values using V2(SO4)3, Ni(CH3COO)2, and H6TTHA (for 1), VO(acac)2 and TPP (for 2) (en = C2H8N2, TPP = thiamine pyrophosphate, TMP = thiamine monophosphate, H6TTHA = 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine hexaacetic acid). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TG), and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complexes catalyze the oxidation of the organic substrate phenol red in the presence of H2O2 and bromide, and the reaction system is considered as a model for hydrogen peroxide determination. The reaction rate constants (k) for 1 and 2 are calculated as 3.729 × 103 and 4.083 × 103 (mol L)?2 s?1. The maximum conversion rate of phenol red for 1 is 83.32%, while for 2 is 81.12%.  相似文献

Complex 2 displays a 1-D structure, while 1, 3, and 4 reveal 0-D structures, which further extend to 3-D supramolecular networks by hydrogen bonding interactions, of which 1 and 4 contain double-helical chains, 2 includes meso-helices, and 3 comprises single-helices. Furthermore, the thermal stabilities and antibacterial activities of the complexes were studied.  相似文献

Six transition metal coordination compounds with H2mand and different N-donor ligands, [Co(Hmand)2(2,2′-bipy)]·H2O (1), [Ni(Hmand)2(2,2′-bipy)]·H2O (2), [Ni(Hmand)2(bpe)] (3), [Zn(Hmand)2(2,4′-bipy)(H2O)]·2H2O (4), [Zn(Hmand)(bpe)(H2O)]n[(ClO4)]n·nH2O (5), and [Zn(Hmand)(4,4′-bipy)(H2O)]n[(ClO4)]n (6), were synthesized under different conditions (H2mand = (S)-(+)-mandelic acid, bpe = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethane, 4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, 2,4′-bipy = 2,4′-bipyridine, 2,2′-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine). Their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and further characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, and circular dichroism. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural (0-D structures), which are extended to supramolecular 1-D chains by hydrogen bonding. Compound 3 exhibits 1-D straight chain structures, which are further linked via hydrogen bond interactions to generate a 3-D supramolecular architecture. Compound 4 displays a discrete molecular unit. Neighboring units are further linked by hydrogen bonds and ππ interactions to form a 3-D supramolecular architecture. Compound 5 displays a 2-D undulated network, further extended into a 3-D supramolecular architecture through hydrogen bond interactions. Compound 6 possesses a 2-D sheet structure. Auxiliary ligands and counteranions play an important role in the formation of final frameworks, and the hydrogen-bonding interactions and ππ stacking interactions contributed to the formation of the diverse supramolecular architectures. Compounds 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 crystallize in chiral space groups, with the circular dichroism spectra exhibiting positive cotton effects. Furthermore, the luminescent properties of 46 have been examined in the solid state at room temperature, and the different crystal structures influence emission spectra significantly.  相似文献

Two copper(II) complexes, [Cu2(μ-benzoato)(L1)2]NO3·2H2O (1) and [Cu2(μ-succinato)(L2)2(H2O)]ClO4 (2), have been synthesized, where L1 = N′-[(E)-phenyl(pyridin-2-yl)methylidene]benzoylhydrazone and L2 = N′-[(E)-pyridin-2-ylmethylidene]benzoylhydrazone. These complexes were characterized including by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The copper is five-coordinate in 1 while in 2 one copper is five-coordinate and the other is six-coordinate. Electrochemical behavior of these complexes was measured by cyclic voltammetry. The conproportionation equilibrium constants (Kcon) for both complexes have been estimated. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of 1 and 2 were measured by nitro blue tetrazolium assay. Complex 1 has better SOD activity than 2.  相似文献

Four metal complexes of N,N′-bis(salicyl)-2,6-pyridine-dicarbohydrazide ligand (H6L), [CoII(H4L)(H2O)2]·2DMF (1), [ZnII(H4L)(H2O)2]·2DMF (2), [CdII(H4L)(Py)2]·DMF·Py (3), and [CoIICo2III(H4L)4(H2O)4]·DMF·H2O (4), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Structural studies revealed that complexes 13 present discrete mononuclear structures and complex 4 displays a centrosymmetric mixed-valence trinuclear structure. All four complexes are further extended into interesting two- or three-dimensional supramolecular frameworks. The [Co(HOr)(H2O)2(im)2] (1), [Ni(HOr)(H2O)2(im)2] (2), [Zn(H2O)2(im)4](H2Or)2 (3) and [Cd(HOr)(H2O)(im)3] (4) complexes (H3Or: orotic acid, im: imidazole) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic and conductance measurements, UV-vis and IR spectra. The thermal behaviour of the complexes was also studied by simultaneous thermal analysis techniques (TG, DTG and DTA). The orotate ligand (HOr2−) coordinated to the Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions are chelated to the deprotonated pyrimidine nitrogen (N(3)) and the carboxylate oxygen, while do not coordinate to the Zn(II) ion is present as a counter-ion (H2Or). The first thermal decomposition process of all the complexes is endothermic deaquation. This stage is followed by partially (or completely) decomposition of the imidazole and orotate ligands. In the later stage, the remained organic residue exothermically burns. On the basis of the first DTGmax, the thermal stability of the complexes follows order: 2, 176°C>1, 162°C>4, 155°C>3, 117°C in static air atmosphere. The final decomposition products which identified by IR spectroscopy were the corresponding metal oxides.  相似文献

[Cu(pydc)(eim)3]?H2O (1), [Cu(pydc)(4hp)(H2O)] (2), and [Ni(pydc)(3hp)(H2O)2][Cu(pydc)(3hp)(H2O)2]?3H2O (3) (H2pydc = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid or dipicolinic acid, eim = 2-ethylimidazole, 4hp = 4-hydroxypyridine, 3hp = 3-hydroxypyridine) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic measurements (UV–vis and IR spectra), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal analysis revealed that the complexes extended to 3-D supramolecular networks through intermolecular H-bonding and molecular interactions between the ligand moieties and water molecules. The thermal stabilities of complexes are investigated by thermogravimetry, differential thermogravimetry, and differential thermal analysis techniques. The effects of complexes on the proliferation of HT-1080 fibrosarcoma cells were investigated using the quick cell proliferation assay. The cell viability changes were found to depend on the concentrations and type of complex.  相似文献
