Abstract

Two new mixed-valence iron complexes with 2-pyridyl oximes, [Fe(mpko)3Fe(H2O)2(NO3)](NO3)·2H2O (1) (mpko? = methyl(2-pyridyl)ketone oximate) and [{Fe(dpko)3}2Fe](ClO4)·4H2O (2) (dpko? = bis(2-pyridyl)ketone oximate), have been prepared by reaction of FeIII with mpkoH in methanol (1) and FeII with dpkoH in methanol/water (2). Dinuclear FeII(low-spin)FeIII(high-spin) and trinuclear FeII(low-spin)FeIII(high-spin)FeII(low-spin) cations are present in the crystal structure of 1 and 2, respectively. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds in 1 lead to weak antiferromagnetic interactions between pairs of neighboring FeIII centers, which allows observation of single-ion zero-field splitting effects.  相似文献

13,14-bis(Hydroxyimino)-4,7-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)-2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9-octahydrobenzo[k]-4, 7-diaza-1,10-dithiacyclododecine[13,14-g]-quinoxaline (H2L) has been prepared from (E,E)-dichloroglyoxime and 12,13-diamino-4,7-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)-2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9-octahydrobenzo[k]-4,7-diaza-1,10-dithiacyclododecine which was synthesized from 12,13-dinitro-4,7-bis(ferrocenylmethyl)-2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9-octahydrobenzo[k]4,7-diaza-1,10-dithia cyclododecine. Mononuclear nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of H2L have a metal-ligand ratio of 1?:?2 and the ligand coordinates through two nitrogen atoms, as do most (E,E)-dioximes. The homotrinuclear [Cu(L)2Cu2(dipy)2](NO3)2 compound coordinates to the other two copper(II) ions through deprotonated oximate oxygens and two 2,2′-dipyridyl as an end-cap ligand to yield the trinuclear structure. The ligand and its complexes have been characterized on the basis of 1H, 13C NMR, IR and MS spectroscopy and elemental analyses.  相似文献

Abstract

A new soluble vic-dioxime, l,4-bis(2-methoxyethyl-2, 3-bis(hydroxyimino)-5, 6-diphenylpiper-azine (LH2) has been synthesized as a mixture of isomers from dicyan di-N-oxide and 1, 2-diphe-nyl-l,2-bis(2′-methoxyethylamino)ethane, 1, which has been prepared through the reduction of the condensation product of benzaldehyde and 2-methoxyethylamine with the aluminium amalgam. LH2 gives N,N-coordinated planar metal complexes with CoII, NiII, CuII and PdII Oxidation of (LH)2Co in the presence of a base such as py or triphenylphoshine leads to octahedral complexes (LH)2Co(B)Cl. The uranyl complex of LH2 has a 1 :1 metal-ligand ratio and a binuclear structure with μ-hydroxo bridges.  相似文献

The reactions of 2-(2-pyridyl)benzothiazole (1) with MX2·nH2O salts (M = NiII, CoII, or CuII; X = Cl or ClO4; n = 0–2) in EtOH afforded the corresponding complexes. Depending on the nature of the counterion in the starting metal salt, the reactions give compounds of composition M(1)Cl2·nH2O or Cu(1)2(ClO4)2·H2O. The molecular and crystal structure of the CuII(1)2(ClO4)2·H2O complex was established by X-ray diffraction. The copper atom in this complex has a distorted tetragonal-pyramidal ligand environment and is coordinated by four nitrogen atoms of two ligand molecules and one water molecule. Electrochemical study of the ligand and the resulting complexes by cyclic voltammetry and at a rotating disk electrode demonstrated that ligand 1 stabilizes reduced forms of complexes containing Ni, Co, or Cu atoms in the oxidation state +1. Abstract

The 1:1 molar ratio reaction of p-phenylenediamine with isonitrosoacetylacetone in chloroform led to the formation of the half unit ligand (HL); (1). Two types of the trans octahedral (L)2Ni 2H2O complex were characterized; the green molecular complex (2) and the associated supramolecular dark brown complex (3). Molecular association in (3) took place via inter-molecular hydrogen bonding between the amino group of a molecule and the oxygen sites of an adjacent molecule. The 1:1 molar ratio reactions of (2) with the metal acetates M(OAc)2 (M = divalent nickel, copper or cobalt) produced the self-assembly structure (4) whereby the metal acetate is coordinated to the amino groups of the nickel(II) complex. Reaction of the dinuclear (4) with another metal acetate (1:1 molar ratio) gave the trinuclear terminated structure (5). Similar reactions of (3) with nickel acetate (1:1 or 1:2) led to formation of complexes with metallosupramolecular structures. An antiferromagnetic interaction between the peripheral and central paramagnetic units was observed from those complexes with copper(II) at the peripheral location. In all these cases the metal ions are bridged via the aromatic Schiff-base moiety. The suggested structures of the mono-, di- and trinuclear coordination compounds are in accordance with the analytical, spectral and magnetic moment data.  相似文献

Two new copper(II) complexes, [CuL2] (1) and [Cu2L2(NCS)2] · 2CH3CN (2) (HL = 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2-morpholin-4-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 was synthesized by reaction of HL with copper(II) acetate in methanol, while 2 was synthesized by adding ammonium thiocyanate to a methanol/acetonitrile (V : V = 2 : 1) solution of 1. Complex 1 crystallizes in the P21/n space group, and the thiocyanato-bridged dinuclear copper(II) complex, 2, crystallizes in the Pbcn space group. The Cu in 1 is four-coordinate square-planar with two imine N and two phenolate O atoms from two Schiff-base ligands. The Cu in 2 is five-coordinate square-pyramidal with NNO donor atoms of one Schiff-base ligand and one N atom of a bridging thiocyanate ligand defining the basal plane, and with one S atom of another bridging thiocyanate ligand occupying the apical position.  相似文献

Redox active mononuclear and binuclear copper(II) complexes have been prepared and structurally characterized. The complexes have planar N-donor heterocyclic bases like 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), dipyridoquinoxaline (dpq) and dipyridophenazine (dppz) ligands that are suitable for intercalation to B-DNA. Complexes studied for nuclease activity have the formulations [Cu(dpq)2(H2O)] (ClO4)2.H2O (1), [CuL(H2O)2(μ-ox)](ClO4)2 (L = bpy,2; phen,3; dpq,4; and dppz,5) and [Cu(L)(salgly)] (L = bpy,6; phen,7; dpq,8; and dppz,9), where salgly is a tridentate Schiff base obtained from the condensation of glycine and salicylaldehyde. The dpq complexes are efficient DNA binding and cleavage active species. The dppz complexes show good binding ability but poor nuclease activity. The cleavage activity of thebis-dpq complex is significantly higher than thebis-phen complex of copper(II). The nuclease activity is found to be dependent on the intercalating nature of the complex and on the redox potential of the copper(II)/copper(I) couple. The ancillary ligand plays a significant role in binding and cleavage activity.  相似文献

The stoichiometric reaction of copper(II) hydroxycarbonate, iminodiacetic acid (H2IDA = HN(CH2CO2H)2) and α‐picolinamide (pya) in water yields crystalline samples of (α‐picolinamide)(iminodiacetato)copper(II) dihydrate, [Cu(IDA)(pya)] · 2 H2O ( 1 ). The compound was characterised by thermal (TG analysis with FT‐IR study of the evolved gasses), spectral (IR, electronic and ESR spectra), magnetic and single crystal X‐ray diffraction methods. It crystallises in the triclinic system, space group P1, a = 8.8737(4), b = 10.23203(5), c = 15.7167(11) Å, α = 77.61(1)°, β = 103.89(1)°, γ = 80.32(1)°, Z = 4, final R1 = 0.056. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographic independent molecules but chemically very similar ones. The CuII atom exhibits a square base pyramidal coordination (type 4 + 1). pya acts as N,O‐bidentate ligand supplying two among the four closest donor atoms of the metal [averaged bond distances (Å): Cu–N = 1.982(2), Cu–O(amide) = 1.972(2)]. IDA plays a N,O,O′‐terdentate chelating role [averaged bond distances (Å): Cu–N = 2.004(3), Cu–O = 1.941(2) and Cu–O = 2.242(2)]. The coordinating behaviour of pya in 1 is discussed on the basis of its N,O‐bidentate chelating role and the preference of the ‘Cu‐iminodiacetato' moiety [Cu(IDA)] to link the N‐heterocyclic donor of pya in trans versus the Cu–N(IDA) bond. Consistently the ligand pya is able to impose a fac‐chelating configuration to IDA one around the copper(II) as previously has been reported to mixed‐ligand complexes having a 1/1/2 CuII/IDA/N(heterocyclic) donor ratio or a closely related 1/1/1/1 CuII/IDA/N(heterocyclic)/N(aliphatic) one.  相似文献

Two mononuclear copper(II) complexes with pyrazole derivatives, 1,1′-(anthracen-9-ylmethylene)bis(1H-pyrazole) (L1 ) and 9-(4-(di(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)phenyl)-9H-carbazole (L2 ), of formulae [CuL1(CH3CN)2](ClO4)2 (1) and [CuL2(CH3CN)2](ClO4)2 (2) were prepared. Both complexes were confirmed by IR, MS, 1H NMR, and elemental analyses. Complex 1 was also characterized by X-ray crystallography, confirming that copper(II) is coordinated by four nitrogen atoms from two L1 and two oxygen atoms from two perchlorates. Furthermore, all ligands and complexes were tested in vitro for their antitumor activities using mouse melanoma cell line B16-F10, HepG2 human hepatoma cell line, and A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cell line. Both complexes displayed potent cytotoxicity and are promising substrates for further investigations.  相似文献

Abstract

This review summarizes the data for over five hundred and fifty six-, seven- and eight-coordinate Cu(II) coordination compounds. The six-coordinate derivatives are mostly distorted tetragonal (elongation along a single C 4 axis). The seven-coordinate derivatives are only penta-gonal-bipyramidal with different degrees of distortion and the eight-coordinate complexes are dodecahedral. The most common ligands are O- and N-donors. There is a trend for the Cu-L distance to increase with covalent radius of the coordinated atom and also increasing coordination number. In general, Cu(II) compounds “prefer” a monoclinic class and are blue or green. Several relationships were found and discussed. The data are compared and discussed with those of four- and five-coordinate Cu(II) compounds.  相似文献

Reaction of the binucleating S-protected ligand precursors 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-methylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy anil (I) and 2-(N,N-dimethylthiocarbamato)-5-methylisophthalaldehyde di-2′-hydroxy 5′-methyl anil (II) with nickel(II) acetate tetrahydrate in the presence of pyrazole afforded the binuclear nickel(II) complexes [LINi2(pz)] (1) and [LIINi2(pz)] (2), respectively. The complexes have been characterized by routine physicochemical studies as well as by X-ray single crystal structure analysis. In both complexes, Ni(II) ions are doubly bridged by the thiophenolic sulfur of the pentadentate Schiff base ligand and a pyrazolate group. Efficient protocols for the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides with high selectivities, catalyzed by binuclear μ-thiophenolato-μ-pyrazolatonickel(II) in the presence of urea hydrogen peroxide (UHP) were explored. We obtained predominantly the monooxygenated product. The resulting products are obtained in good to excellent yields within a reasonable time.  相似文献

Tri-nuclear cobalt and nickel complexes ([(CoL)2(OAc)2Co]?·?THF (I) and [(NiL)2(OAc)2(THF)2Ni]?·?THF (II)) have been synthesized by reaction of a new Salen-type bisoxime chelating ligand of 2,2′-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]dinaphthol(H2L) with cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate or nickel(II) acetate tetrahydrate, respectively. Complexes I and II were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG-DTA and 1H-NMR etc. The X-ray crystal structures of I and II reveal that two acetate ions coordinate to three cobalt or nickel ions through M–O–C–O–M (M?=?Co or Ni) bridges and four μ-naphthoxo oxygen atoms from two [ML] units also coordinate to cobalt(II) or nickel(II). Complex I has two distorted square-pyramidal coordination spheres and an octahedral geometry around Co1. In complex II all three nickel ions are six-coordinate.  相似文献

The reaction of [M(L)]Cl2 · 2H2O (M = Ni2+ and Cu2+, L = 3,14-dimethyl-2,6,13,17-tetraazatricyclo[14,4,01.18,07.12]docosane) with 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid (H2-cbdc) generates 1D and 2D hydrogen-bonded infinite chains [Ni(L)(H-cbdc)2] (1) and [Cu(L)(H-cbdc)2] (2). (H-cbdc = cyclobutane-1-carboxylic acid-1-carboxylate). These complexes have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The crystal structure of 1 shows a distorted octahedral coordination geometry around the nickel(II) ion, with four secondary amines and two oxygen atoms of the H-cbdc ligand at the trans position. In 2, the coordination environment around the central copper(II) ion shows a Jahn–Teller distorted octahedron with four Cu–N bonds and two long Cu–O distances. The cyclic voltammogram of the complexes undergoes two one-electron waves corresponding to MII/MIII and MII/MI processes. The electronic spectra and electrochemical behavior of the complexes are significantly affected by the nature of the axial H-cbdc ligand.  相似文献

CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and CdII complexes of N,N-bis(2-{[(2-methyl-2-phenyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl]amino}butyl)N′,N′-dihydroxyethanediimidamide (LH2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductivity measurements and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The CoII, NiII and CuII complexes of LH2 were synthesized with 1?:?2 metal ligand stoichiometry. ZnII and CdII complexes with LH2 have a metal ligand ratio of 1?:?1. A dinuclear copper(II) complex with a newly synthesized tridentate Schiff-base ligand 2-[(2-hydroxy-ethylimino)-methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol (HL), of formula [Cu2L2Cl2?·?C4H8O] (1), was prepared. Both the ligand and the complex were characterized by X-ray crystallography, confirming that the Schiff base is tridentate and its dinuclear copper(II) complex is five-coordinate from one nitrogen and two oxygens from L and two chlorides. The complex was assayed for antibacterial (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Enterobacter cloacae) activities by the MTT method. Complex 1 exhibited better antimicrobial activity than the ligand.  相似文献

Summary Synthesis, elemental (CHN), spectral (FTIR), thermogravimetry (TG), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and complexometric titration have been applied to the investigation of the thermal behavior and structure of the complexes: Mg(ac)2(mpc)3·3H2O(I), Mg(Clac)2(mpc)2·3H2O(II), Mg(Cl2ac)2(mpc)2·3H2O(III), Mg(Cl3ac)2(mpc)2·3H2O(IV) and [Cu(ac)2(mpc)]2·3H2O(V) (ac=CH3COO-, Clac=ClCH2COO-, Cl2ac=Cl2CHCOO-, Cl3ac=Cl3CCOO- and mpc=methyl-3-pyridyl carbamate). Thermal decomposition of these complexes is a multi-stage processes. The composition of the complexes and the solid state intermediate and resultant products of thermolysis had been identified by means of elemental analysis and complexometric titration. The possible scheme of decomposition of the complexes is suggested. Heating the complexes first resulted in a release of water molecules. The TG results show that the loss of the volatile ligand (mpc) occurs in one step for complexes II, IV and V, and in two steps for complexes I and III. The final solid product of thermal decomposition was MgO or CuO. The thermal stability of the complexes can be ordered in the sequence: I=II<IV<III<V. Mpc was coordinated to Mg(II) or Cu(II) through the nitrogen atom of its heterocyclic ring. IR data suggest to a unidentate coordination of carboxylates to magnesium or copper n complexes I-V. The preliminary studies have shown that the complexes do have antimicrobial activities against bacteria, yeasts and/or fungi. The highest antimicrobial activities were manifested by the complex V.  相似文献

Two copper(I) complexes [Cu(Cin2bda)2]ClO4 (I) and [Cu(Ncin2bda)2]ClO4 (II) have been prepared by the reaction of the ligands N2,N2′-bis(3-phenylallylidene)biphenyl-2,2′-diamine (L1) and N2,N2′-bis[3-(2-nitrophenyl)allylidene]biphenyl-2,2′-diamine (L2) and copper(I) salt. These compounds were characterized by CHN analyses, 1H NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The C=N stretching frequency in the copper(I) complexes shows a shift to a lower frequency relative to the free ligand due to the coordination of the nitrogen atoms. The crystal and molecular structure of II was determined by X-ray single-crystal crystallography. The coordination polyhedron about the copper(I) center in the complex is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. A quasireversible redox behavior was observed for complexes I and II. The article is published in the original.  相似文献
