Chloroquine base (CQ) reacts with [Ir(COD)Cl]2 and IrCl3 · 3H2O to yield of Ir(CQ)Cl(COD) (1) and Ir2Cl6(CQ) · 3H2O (2), respectively. Reaction of [Ir(COD)Cl]2 with CQ in the presence of NH4PF6 leaded to [Ir(CQ)(Solv)2]PF6 (3). The three new iridium–CQ complexes were characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopies and evaluated in vitro against Plasmodium beghei. Comparison of the IC50 values obtained with the experimental compounds with that determined for chloroquine diphosphate indicated a higher activity for complex 2, while complexes 1 and 3 showed a similar and lower activity, respectively.  相似文献

A new series of copper(II) mononuclear and copper(II)–metal(II) binuclear complexes [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O, [CuLM] ? nH2O, and [Cu(H2L)M(OAc)2] ? nH2O, n = 1–2, M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), or Zn(II), and L is the anion of dipyridylglyoxal bis(2-hydroxybenzoyl hydrazone), H4L, were synthesized and characterized. Elemental analyses, molar conductivities, and FT-IR spectra support the formulation of these complexes. IR data suggest that H4L is dibasic tetradentate in [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O and [Cu(H2L)M(OAc)2] ? nH2O but tetrabasic hexadentate in [CuLM] ? nH2O (n = 1–2). Thermal studies indicate that waters are of crystallization and the complexes are thermally stable to 347–402°C depending upon the nature of the complex. Magnetic moment values indicate magnetic exchange interaction between Cu(II) and M(II) centers in binuclear complexes. The electronic spectral data show that d–d transitions of CuN2O2 in the mononuclear complex are blue shifted in binuclear complexes in the sequences: Cu–Cu > Cu–Ni > Cu–Co > Cu–Zn, suggesting that the binuclear complexes [CuLM] ? nH2O are more planar than the mononuclear complex. The structures of complexes were optimized through molecular mechanics applying MM +force field coupled with molecular dynamics simulation. [(H2L)Cu] ? nH2O, [CuLM] ? nH2O, and the free ligand were screened for antimicrobial activities on some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial species. The free ligand is inactive against all studied bacteria. The screening data showed that [CuLCu] ? H2O > [(H2L)Cu] ? H2O > [CuLZn] ? H2O > [CuLNi] ? 2H2O ≈ [CuLCo] ? H2O in order of biological activity. The data are discussed in terms of their compositions and structures.  相似文献

Two new Cu(II)–hydrazone complexes, [Cu(L)(Hbpe)ClO4]·ClO4·[Cu(L)Cl] (1) and [Cu(HL)2]·1.5ClO4·0.5OH (2) (where HL?=?(E)-N′-(1-(pyridine-2-yl)ethylidene)benzohydrazide and bpe = trans-1-(2-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyridyl)ethylene), have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical methods. The structures of the complexes have been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction direct methods, which reveal that the metal ions have distorted square-pyramidal and square-planar geometries in 1, and a distorted octahedral geometry in 2. DNA binding of HL, 1, and 2, performed by UV–vis titration in tris-buffer medium, yielded binding constants, which are 9.5 × 103, 1.88 × 104, and 4.66 × 104 M?1, respectively. Viscosity measurements suggest a surface or groove-binding mode of interaction between CT-DNA with HL, 1, and 2.  相似文献

Poly(ethylene oxamide-N,N′-disuccinate), abbreviated as (PEODS), has been synthesized by condensation of oxamide-N,N′-disuccinic acid and 1,2-ethylene glycol. Coordination polymers were synthesized by the reaction of (PEODS) with hydrated acetates of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II). The resulting polyester-metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Visible, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, ESR spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibilities. Thermal behavior of all the synthesized compounds revealed that polymer metal complexes are more stable than the polymeric ligand. In addition all the synthesized polymers were screened for anti-bacterial activity against B. subtelillisr, B. megaterium, S. aureus, E. coli, S. typhi, P.?aeruginosa, S. boydii and for antifungal activity against C. albicans, T. species, A. flavus, A. niger, F. species, M. species, and P. species by agar well diffusion methods. All the polymers showed good anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activity, which increased on coordination with the metal ions.  相似文献

N-N′-tetracarboxydiethyloxamide (hereafter abbreviated as H6L) was prepared by using L-aspartic acid and diethyl oxalate (DEO). A series of binuclear complexes of divalent metal chlorides viz. Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with H6L have been prepared. Spectral studies (IR, UV and NMR) magnetic susceptibility, elemental analysis and molar conductance measurements confirm the formation of binuclear complexes, [M2H2L]/[M2H2L?·?4H2O]. Electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibilities suggest square-planar stereochemistry for Cu(II) and tetrahedral for Zn(II) complexes. Mn(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) coordinate two molecules of water and consequently show octahedral geometry. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds is discussed against bacterial strains such as S. aureus, S. epididermis, K. pneumonia, S. typhi, P. aerugenosa, and B. subtilis A. brasilense. The metal complexes show higher activity against all the microorganisms than the ligand.  相似文献

One new diferrocene Schiff base was prepared by condensing 1′-formyl[(2,2-diferrocenyl)propane] with isonictinoyl hydrazine. 1′-formyl[(2,2-diferrocenyl)propane]isonicotinoyl hydrazone (HL) and its chelates with lanthanide ions, Ln(HL)2Cl3(H2O)n (Ln=La, Dy, Yb, Gd, Sm, Nd; n=1–5.) were prepared, isolated and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectra. In these chelates the ligand coordinates to lanthanide ions in the keto form, and some chloride ions and water molecules participate in coordination to the metal ion. The redox properties of the ligand and its complexes were investigated using cyclic voltammetric method. Both the ligand and its lanthanide complexes exhibit two distinct pairs of redox peaks displaying electrochemical characteristics of multi-component system.  相似文献

A series of albendazole-based copper(II) complexes with different counter anions, [Cu(Albz)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1), [Cu(Albz)2(Cl)]Cl·2H2O (2), [Cu(Albz)2(NO3)](NO3) (3), and [Cu2(Albz)2(μ-SO4)2(H2O)2] (4) (Albz = albendazole), have been synthesized and characterized. Their structures and properties were characterized by elemental analysis, thermal analysis (TGA, DTG and DTA), IR, UV–vis and ESR spectroscopies, cyclic voltammetry, electrical molar conductivity, and magnetic moment measurements. A square-planar geometry is proposed for 1, whereas the five-coordinate copper(II) complexes 2, 3, and 4 have a square pyramidal geometry. Theoretical calculations (DFT) using B3LYP/6–311 + G(d,p) level of theory corroborated the experimental results to investigate both the drug Albz and its copper(II) complex, 1. The hepatoprotective and antioxidative efficacy of Albz and 1–4 were evaluated against carbon tetrachloride-induced acute hepatotoxicity in rats. Hepatotoxicity in experimental rats was evidenced by significant decrease in the antioxidant enzyme activities (SOD, GSH-S-transfers, and GSH-Rd levels). The results have strong impact for designing anticancer drugs, combined with their potential cytotoxic and antioxidant activities, which can be targeted selectively against cancer cells and increase their therapeutic index and advantages over other anticancer drugs. The DNA cleavage studies of Albz and its copper(II) complexes using genomic DNA indicated that Albz has no role in cleavage of DNA, and only 1 played a marked role in the DNA cleavage without any external additives.  相似文献

A new asymmetric N,N′-bis(substituent)oxamide ligand, N-phenolato-N′-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)oxamide (H3pdmapo), and two of its binuclear Cu(II) complexes with different terminal ligands, namely [Cu2(pdmapo)(phen)(H2O)](ClO4) (1) and [Cu2(pdmapo)(bpy)(CH3OH)](ClO4) (2), where phen = 1,10-phenanthroline and bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of both complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both structures contain binuclear Cu(II) cationic complexes with pdmapo3? ligands. The asymmetric pdmapo3? ligands bridge two Cu(II) atoms in the cis conformation and the Cu···Cu separations through the oxamide bridge are 5.2046(18) and 5.207(2) Å for complexes 1 and 2, respectively. The coordination environments of the two Cu(II) atoms in each binuclear complex are different. The copper occupying the inner site of the pdmapo3? ligand is four-coordinated in a CuN3O distorted square-planar environment, while the other is five-coordinated in a square pyramid geometry. In complex 1, O–H···O and C–H···O hydrogen bonds link the complex into a one-dimensional chain. In complex 2, O–H···O hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form a dimer, together with two types of strong ππ interactions, giving a two-dimensional network structure. The cytotoxicities and DNA-binding properties of H3pdmapo and the two complexes were studied. The experimental evidence suggests that the ligand binds to DNA via a groove binding mode, while the binuclear complexes bind intercalatively to DNA.  相似文献

At room temperature, dibenzoyl peroxide undergoes oxidative addition reaction with metallic copper powder and pyridine N-oxide (triphenylphosphine oxide or 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin) which affords the last products as binuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu(C5H5NO)-(C6H5COO)2]2(1), [Cu(OPPh3)(C6H5COO)2]2(2) and [Cu(C6H5COO)(C26H2oN2)](3, C26H2oN2 is 2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin). The structure of the complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, TG-DTA and magnetic property. Crystals(1) are triclinic, space group P1,a=0.92617(36),b=1.06973(17), c=1.08813(29) nm, a=59.60(2)°, β=74.83(3)°,γ=72.80(2)°, V=0.880 nm3, Dc=1.520 g/cm3, Z=1, R=0.044, Rw=0.048, Mr=805.78, 3477 reflections with I > 3σ(I). Each copper(Ⅱ) ion is coordinated by two bridging bidentate benzoate ligands and one pyridine N-oxide or triphenylphosphine oxide to form dimeric binuclear molecules. The structure of the compound(1) shows a clear centre of symmetry.  相似文献

Five new platinum(II) complexes (15) with 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-amino acid dianion and 2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and mass spectra. The crystal structure of 1 has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Cytotoxicity was tested by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and sulforhodamine B (SRB) assays. The results indicate that 15 exert cytotoxic effects with selectivity against tested carcinoma cell lines; 5 displays better cytotoxicity against BGC-823, Bel-7402, and KB cell lines, while 1 has better cytotoxicity against KB cell line. The 4-toluenesulfonyl- L-amino acid dianions have important effects on cytotoxicity; when 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-amino acid dianions are 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-glycine and 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-phenylalanine, the complexes show better cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Two substituted 2,2′-bipyridine lead(II) complexes, [Pb(5,5′-dm-2,2′-bpy)(tfac)2] n (1) (5,5′-dm-2,2′-bpy?=?5,5′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine and tfac?=?trifluoroacetate) and [Pb2(4,4′-dmo-2,2′-bpy)2(ftfa)4] (2) (4,4′-dmo-2,2′-bpy?=?4,4′-dimethoxy-2,2′-bipyridine and ftfa?=?furoyltrifluoroacetonate), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopies, thermal behavior, and X-ray crystallography. Complexes 1 and 2 are 1D coordination polymer and dinuclear complex, respectively. The supramolecular features in these complexes are guided by weak directional intermolecular interactions.  相似文献

Four new platinum(II) complexes (14) with N-benzoyl-L-amino acid and bipy were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H NMR, and mass spectra. The crystal structure of 1 was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Cytotoxicities were measured by MTT and SRB assays. Complexes 14 exert cytotoxicity with selectivity against HL-60, Bel-7402, BGC-823, and KB cell lines. This suggests that amino acids and acylated groups have important effects on cytotoxicity; the cytotoxicity is also related to the species of tumor cells, but the IC50 values do not show definite correlation with the variation of amino acids and acylated groups.  相似文献

In this work, we describe the syntheses, characterization, and antifungal activity of [In{S2CNR(R1)}3] (1), [Ga{S2CNR(R1)}3] (2), [Bi{S2CNR(R1)}3] (3), [In{S2CNR(R2)}3] (4), [Ga{S2CNR(R2)}3] (5), and [Bi{S2CNR(R2)}3] (6) {R?=?Me; R1?=?CH2CH(OMe)2; and R2?=?2-methyl-1,3-dioxolane}. All complexes have been characterized using infrared and 1H and 13C spectroscopy, and the structures of 1, 3, 4, and 6 have been authenticated by X-ray diffraction. The In(III)–dithiocarbamate bonding scheme depicts a distorted octahedral with asymmetric In(III)–S bonds and S–In–S angles. A pentagonal bipyramid is observed for the corresponding Bi(III) complexes with intermolecular Bi–S associations through the lone pair of electrons. The antifungal activities of 1–6 have been screened against Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus parasiticus, and Penicillium citrinum, and the results have been compared with those of nystatin and miconazole nitrate, as control drugs.  相似文献

The complexes cis-bis(N-furoyl-N′,N′-diethylthioureato-k 2O,S)nickel(II) and cis-bis(N-furoyl-N′,N′-diethylthioureato-k 2O,S)copper(II) were prepared by the reaction of metal acetate with the corresponding acylthiourea derivative. The complexes were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both complexes show two furoylthiourea ligands bonded to metal to form a four-coordinate complex with square-planar geometry. The antifungal activity of the prepared complexes was studied against the phytopathogenic fungi Botrytis cinerea and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, responsible for important plant diseases.  相似文献

Rare earth complexes with 2,2′-biphenyldicarboxylic acid (diphenic acid = H2dpa) were obtained as hydrated precipitates of the general formula Ln2(C14H8O4)3nH2O, where n = 3 for the of Y(III) and Ce(III)–Er(III) and n = 6 for La(III), Tm(III), Yb(III) and Lu(III) complexes. On heating in air atmosphere complexes lose all water molecules in the temperature range 30–210 °C in one step and form anhydrous compounds, which are stable up to 315–370 °C. During further heating they decompose to oxides. The trihydrated compounds are crystalline powders whereas the hexahydrated are amorphous solids. The trihydrated complexes crystallize in the monoclinic (Pr(III) and Ce(III) complexes) and triclinic (Y(III) and Nd(III)–Er(III) complexes) crystal systems.  相似文献

Complexes of the[Al(L-H)(OH)Cl],[M(L-H)(H2O)2- (OH)Cl] and [M(L-H)(L-H)(H2O)Cl] type, where L = uracil (URL); L = histidine (HISD); M = CrIII or FeIII and M = AlIII, CrIII or FeIII were synthesized and characterized. The complexes are polymers, with high decomposition points and are insoluble in water and common organic solvents. Uracil is coordinated to the metal ion through the O atom of C(4)-O and the N atom of N(1), while histidine coordinates through the O atom of -CO2– and the N atom of the -NH2 groups. The eff values, electronic spectral bands and e.s.r. spectra suggest a polymeric six coordinate spin-free octahedral stereochemistry for the CrIII and FeIII complexes. The in vivo and in vitro antitumour activity results indicate that CrIII and FeIII complexes have significant activity against P815 murine mastocytoma but AlIII complexes show poor activity.  相似文献

New homoleptic zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(L)2], where L = methyl-3-hydroxy-(3-pyridyl)-2-propenedithioate L1 1, and methyl-3-hydroxy-(4-pyridyl)-2-propenedithioate L2 2, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental (C, H, and N) analysis, ESI-MS, and (IR, UV–vis, NMR) spectroscopy; the structure of 1 has been deduced by X-ray crystallography. The DNA binding and cleavage activity of the complexes have been studied. The cleavage potential of pBR322 DNA by 1 and 2 has been checked. Complex 1, which contains nitrogen of the pyridine group in the 3-position enhances DNA cleavage potential in the presence of ascorbic acid; however, the complex is protective against DNA cleavage in the presence of DMSO or H2O2. Also, 1 causes cytotoxicity against the MCF-7 breast cancer cell line. The efficient cytotoxic activity and DNA cleavage ability of 1 in the presence of ascorbic acid shows its potential anticancer properties and the need for further investigations of its potential as an anticancer drug.  相似文献
