Four new nickel(II), zinc(II), and cobalt(II) complexes, [Zn(L1)2]?·?H2O (1), [Ni(L1)2]?·?H2O (2), [Ni(L2)2] (3), and [Co(L3)2]?·?H2O (4), derived from hydroxy-rich Schiff bases 2-{[1-(5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-methylpropane-1,3-diol (HL1), 2-{[1-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-ethylpropane-1,3-diol (HL2), and 2-{[1-(5-bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl)methylidene]amino}-2-methylpropane-1,3-diol (HL3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray determination. Each metal in the complexes is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral coordination. The Schiff bases coordinate to the metal atoms through the imino N, phenolate O, and one hydroxyl O. In the crystal structures of HL1 and the complexes, molecules are linked through intermolecular O–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming 1-D chains. The urease inhibitory activities of the compounds were evaluated and molecular docking study of the compounds with the Helicobacter pylori urease was performed.  相似文献

The catecholase activity of the dicopper(II) complexes [Cu2(L1)(μ‐OCH3)(NCCH3)2](PF6)2·H2O·CH3CN ( 1 ), [Cu2(L2)(μ‐OH)(MeOH)(NCCH3)](BF4)2 ( 2 ), [Cu2(L3)(μ‐OMe)(NCCH3)2](BF4)2·2CH3CN·H2O ( 3 ), [Cu2(L2)(μ‐OAc)2]BF4·H2O ( 4 ), [Cu2(L4)(μ‐OAc)2]ClO4 ( 5 ) and [Cu2(L5)(μ‐OMe)(NCCH3)3(OH2)](ClO4)2·2CH3OH·CH3CN ( 6 ) consisting of varying para‐substituted phenol ligands HL1 = 4‐trifluoromethyl‐2,6‐bis((4‐methylpiperazin‐1‐yl)methyl)phenol, HL2 = 4‐bromo‐2,6‐bis((4‐methyl‐1,4‐diazepan‐1‐yl)methyl)phenol, HL3 = 4‐bromo‐2‐((4‐methyl‐1,4‐diazepan‐1‐yl)methyl)‐6‐((4‐methylpiperazin‐1‐yl)methyl)phenol, HL4 = 2,6‐bis((4‐methylpiperazin‐1‐yl)methyl)‐4‐nitrophenol and HL5 = 4‐tert‐butyl‐2,6‐bis((4‐methylpiperazin‐1‐yl)methyl)phenol was studied. The main difference within the six complexes lies in the individual copper–copper separation that is enforced by the chelating side arms of the phenolate ligand entity and more importantly in the exogenous bridging solvent, hydroxide, methanolate or acetate ions. The distance between the copper cores varies from 2.94Å in 1 to 3.29Å in 5 . The catalytic activity of the complexes 1 – 6 towards the oxidation of 3,5‐di‐tert‐butylcatechol was determined spectrophotometrically by monitoring the increase of the 3,5–di‐tert‐butylquinone characteristic absorption band at about 400 nm over time saturated with O2. The complexes are able to oxidize the substrate 3,5‐di‐tert‐butylcatechol to the corresponding o‐quinone with distinct catalytic activity (kcat between 92 h?1 and 189 h?1), with an order of decreasing activity 6 > 5 > 1 , 2 , 4 ≥ 3 . A kinetic treatment of the data based on the Michaelis‐Menten approach was applied. A correlation of the catecholase activities with the variation of the para‐ substituents as well as other effects resulting from the copper core distances is discussed. [Cu2(L5)(μ‐OMe)(NCCH3)3(OH)2](ClO4)2·2CH3OH·CH3CN ( 6 ) exhibited the highest activity of the six complexes as a result of its high turnover rate.  相似文献

Two picolinate-containing nickel(II) complexes [Ni(bbma)(pic)(H2O)]ClO4 · CH3OH (1) and [Ni(ntb)(pic)]Cl · CH3OH · 3H2O (2) were synthesized and characterized by infrared, elemental analysis, UV-Vis, and X-ray diffraction analyses, where bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, pic is the anion of picolinic acid. X-ray analysis shows that both complexes are mononuclear with picolinate coordinated to Ni(II) in a μ2-N,O chelating mode. Both complexes adopt distorted octahedral geometry. Intermolecular N–H ··· O and O–H ··· O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions in 1 and 2 are important in stabilization of the crystal structures.  相似文献

Four novel ON donor Schiff bases (E)-3-((4-phenoxyphenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol (HL1),(E)-3-((4-(4-biphenyloxy)phenyliminomethyl)benzene-1,2-diol (HL2), (E)-3-((4-naphthoxyphenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol (HL3), (E)-3-((4-(2-naphthoxy)phenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol (HL4) and their copper(II) complexes bis((E)-3-((4-phenoxyphenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol) copper(II) (Cu(L1)2) bis((E)-3-((4-(4-biphenyloxy)phenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol) copper(II) (Cu(L2)2), bis((E)-3-((4-naphthoxyphenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol) copper(II) (Cu(L3)2), bis((E)-3-((4-(2-naphthoxy)phenylimino)methyl)benzene-1,2-diol) copper(II) (Cu(L4)2) have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic (FTIR, NMR, UV–visible) and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of HL1, HL2, HL3, and HL4 have been determined, which reveal intramolecular N-H?O (HL1, HL2, HL3, and HL4) hydrogen bonds in the solid state. Keto-amine and enol-imine tautomerism is exhibited by the Schiff bases in solid and solution states. The Schiff bases and their copper(II) complexes have been screened for their biological activities. In antimicrobial assays (antibacterial and antifungal), HL4 showed promising results against all strains through dual inhibition property while the rest of the compounds showed activity against selective strains. On the other hand, in cytotoxic, DPPH, and inhibition of hydroxyl (OH) free radical-induced DNA damage assays, the results were found significantly correlated with each other, i.e. the ligands HL1 and HL2 showed moderate activity while their complexes Cu(L1)2 and Cu(L2)2 exhibited prominent increase in activity. As the results of these assays are supporting each other, it represents the strong positive correlation and antioxidant nature of investigated compounds.  相似文献

Two new potentially octadentate N2O6 Schiff-base ligands 2-((E)-(2-(2-(2-((E)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)phenoxy)phenoxy)phenylimino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol H2L1 and 2-((E)-(2-(2-(2-((E)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)phenoxy)-4-tert-butylphenoxy)phenylimino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol H2L2 were prepared from the reaction of O-Vaniline with 1,2-bis(2′-aminophenoxy)benzene or 1,2-bis(2′-aminophenoxy)-4-t-butylbenzene, respectively. Reactions of H2L1 and H2L2 with copper(II) and zinc(II) salts in methanol in the presence of N(Et)3 gave neutral [CuL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2, [CuL2], [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2, and [ZnL2] complexes. The complexes were characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, ESI–MS spectra, molar conductance (Λm), UV-Vis spectra and, in the case of [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2 and [ZnL2], with 1H- and 13C-NMR. The crystal structure of [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2 has also been determined showing the metal ion in a highly distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The electrochemical behavior of H2L2 and its Cu(II) complex, [CuL2], was studied and the formation constant of [CuL2] was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry. The logarithm value of formation constant of [CuL2] is 21.9.  相似文献

The reaction of 3-phenyl-5-(2-pyridyl)pyrazole (HL0) and 3-phenyl-5-(6-methyl-(2-pyridyl))pyrazole (HL1) with nickel(II) salts produces mononuclear coordination compounds. The new complexes have been characterised by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements and infrared and electronic spectroscopies. Two different forms of mononuclear nickel(II) complexes have been prepared and structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography: [Ni(HL0)2Cl(H2O)][Ni(HL0)2(H2O)2]Cl3·CH3OH·H2O and [Ni(HL1)2(H2O)2]Br2·2.5DMF. In the cationic complexes, the coordination of the Ni(II) is octahedral with two bidentate HL0 or HL1 neutral ligands in a cis disposition. The degree of distortion from regular octahedral geometry is compared to closely related structures. In the solid state, cations and anions are bonded by hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

The reaction between tridentate NNO donor hydrazone ligands, (E)-2-cyano-N′-(phenyl(pyridin-2-yl)methylene)acetohydrazide (HL1) and (E)-2-cyano-N′-(1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethylidene)acetohydrazide (HL2), with MnCl2·4H2O in methanol resulted in [Mn(HL1)Cl2(CH3OH)] (1) and [Mn(HL2)Cl2(CH3OH)] (2). Molecular structures of the complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. All of the investigated compounds were further characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. These complexes were used as catalysts for olefin oxidation in the presence of tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxidant. Under similar experimental conditions with equal manganese loading, the presence of [Mn(HL2)Cl2(CH3OH)] (2) resulted in higher conversion than [Mn(HL1)Cl2(CH3OH)] (1).  相似文献

An unexpected mononuclear Ni(II) complex, [Ni(L2)2]·CH3OH (HL2 = 1-(2-{[(E)-3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime), has been synthesized via complexation of Ni(II) acetate tetrahydrate with HL1. HL1 and its corresponding Ni(II) complex were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR spectra, HRMS, as well as by elemental analysis, UV–vis, and emission spectroscopy. The crystal structure of the complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Each complex links two other molecules into an infinite 1-D chain via intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Moreover, the electrochemical properties of the nickel complex were studied by cyclic voltammetry. Superoxide dismutase-like activities of HL1 and Ni(II) complex were also investigated.  相似文献

Three new phenolate oxygen bridged transition metal complexes [Zn3(HL1)33‐CH3O)]·(ClO4)2(H2O)3 ( 1 ), [Ni2(HL1)21,1‐N3)(o‐vanillin)]·H2O ( 2 ), [Ni3(HL2)2(PhCOO)2(PhCOOH)2(EtOH)2] ( 3 ) have been synthesized by metal ions and potentially multidentate Schiff base ligands (H2L1 = 2‐((1‐hydroxy‐2‐methylpropan‐2‐ylimino) methyl)‐6‐methoxyphenol; H3L2 = (E)‐1‐((2‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxy‐benzylidene)amino)ethane‐1,2‐diol). All the three complexes 1 , 2 , and 3 have been characterized by elemental analysis, FT‐IR spectroscopy, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies. Crystal structures reveal that complex 1 is a trinuclear incomplete cubane‐like zinc cluster whereas complex 2 is a dinuclear nickel complex bridged by azide, and compound 3 is a trinuclear nickel complex. The luminescent property for complex 1 and magnetic behaviors for complexes 2 and 3 have been investigated.  相似文献

Two new cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(L3)2]·CH3OH·CH3COCH3 (1) (HL3 = 1-(2-{[(E)-3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime) and Co(L4)2 (2) (HL4 = 1-(2-{[(E)-3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime), have been synthesized via complexation of Co(II) acetate tetrahydrate with HL1 and HL2. HL1, HL2, and their corresponding Co(II) complexes were characterized by IR, 1H NMR spectra, as well as by elemental analysis and UV–Vis spectroscopy, respectively. The crystal structures of the complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 and 2 display that extensive hydrogen bonds and C–X···π bonding interactions construct the 1-D infinite chain [Co(L3)2]·CH3OH·CH3COCH3 and Co(L4)2 into 2-D supramolecular frameworks. The electrochemical properties of two Co(II) complexes were also investigated by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Two new complexes, [Ni(HL1)(N3)(μ1,1N3)]2 (1) [HL1: NC5H4CH3C=NNH (C=O) NH2] and [Ni(L2)N3] (2) [HL2: NC5H4HC=N NH(C=S)NH2], have been synthesized by reaction of Ni(OAC)2·4H2O and sodium azide with HL1 and HL2 and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and UV–vis spectral studies. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that 1 is dinuclear with nickel(II) in an octahedral environment of NNO donors of HL1, two nitrogens of azide bridges and one nitrogen of terminal azide; 2 is mononuclear containing nickel(II) in a distorted square-planar environment of NNS donors of HL2 and one terminal azide. The structures of 1 and 2 have been optimized by density functional theory. The results of antimicrobial activities of ligands, 1 and 2 demonstrated that HL2 and 2 have good antimicrobial activity in contrast with HL1 and 1, related to the presence of sulfur donor in HL2.  相似文献

Three azido-bridged copper(II) complexes, [Cu2(L1)21,1,3-N3)2] n ·2nH2O (1), [Cu4(L2)41,1-N3)21,1,3-N3)2] n (2), and [Cu2(L3)21,1-N3)2] (3), where L1, L2, and L3 are the deprotonated forms of 4-bromo-2-[(2-methylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol (HL1), 4-bromo-2-[(2-ethylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol (HL2), and 4-bromo-2-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol (HL3), respectively, have been prepared and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and IR spectra. The slight differences in the terminal groups of the Schiff bases lead to different bridging modes of the azido groups.  相似文献

The syntheses of a mononuclear zinc(II) complex [ZnCl(L1)(Amp)] (I) and a mononuclear nickel(II) complex [Ni(L2)(HL2)](BF4) · 0.5H2O (II) (HL1 = 4-methyl-2-[(4-methylpyridin-2-ylimino) methyl]phenol, HL2 = 4-methyl-2-[(pyridin-2-ylmethylimino)methyl]phenol; Amp = 2-amino-4- methylpyridine) were prepared under microwave irradiation. The complexes were characterized by a combination of elemental analyses, and IR and electronic spectra. Their structures were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray crystallography (СIF files CCDC nos 1437737 (I), 1437738 (II)). The Zn atom in the monomeric complex I is in tetrahedral coordination. The Ni atoms in the dimeric complex II are in octahedral coordination. Crystals of the complexes are stabilized by hydrogen bonds. In order to evaluate the biological activity of the complexes, in vitro antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was assayed. The complexes have strong activity against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献

Two cubane-type tetranuclear nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes, [Ni4(L1)4(CH3OH)4] (1) and [Cu4(L2)4]·H2O (2), where L1 and L2 are the dianionic forms of the tridentate Schiff bases 4-nitro-2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]phenol (H2L1) and 5-methoxy-2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]phenol (H2L2), respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical methods and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The magnetic properties of the complexes show the presence of ferromagnetic interactions for complex 1 and antiferromagnetic interactions for complex 2, mediated by hydroxyl bridges.  相似文献

Naphthaldimines containing N2O2 donor centers react with platinum(II) and (IV) chlorides to give two types of complexes depending on the valence of the platinum ion. For [Pt(II)], the ligand is neutral, [(H2L1)PtCl2]·3H2O (1) and [(H2L3)2Pt2Cl4]·5H2O (3), or monobasic [(HL2)2Pt2Cl2]·2H2O (2) and [(HL4)2Pt]·2H2O (4). These complexes are all diamagnetic having square-planar geometry. For [Pt(IV)], the ligand is dibasic, [(L1)Pt2Cl4(OH)2]·2H2O (5), [(L2)Pt3Cl10]·3H2O (6), [(L3)Pt2Cl4(OH)2]·C2H5OH (7) and [(L4)Pt2Cl6]·H2O (8). The Pt(IV) complexes are diamagnetic and exhibit octahedral configuration around the platinum ion. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis and IR spectra, electrical conductivity and thermal analyses (DTA and TGA). The molar conductances in DMF solutions indicate that the complexes are non-ionic. The complexes were tested for their catalytic activities towards cathodic reduction of oxygen.  相似文献

Several cis-dioxomolybdenum complexes of two tridentate ONS chelating ligands H2L1 and H2L2 (obtained by condensation of S-benzyl and S-methyl dithiocarbazates with 2-hydroxyacetophenone) have been prepared and characterized. Complexes 1 and 2 are found to be of the form MoO2 (CH3OH) L1?·?CH3OH and MoO2L, respectively, (where L2–?=?dianion of H2L1 and H2L2). The sixth coordination site of the complexes acts as a binding site for various neutral monodentate Lewis bases, B, forming complexes 310 of the type MoO2LB (where B?=?γ-picoline, imidazole, thiophene, THF). The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, various spectroscopic techniques, (UV-Vis, IR and 1H NMR), measurement of magnetic susceptibility at room temperature, molar conductivity in solution and by cyclic voltammetry. Two of the complexes MoO2(CH3OH) L1?·?CH3OH (1) and MoO2L1(imz) (5) were structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Oxo abstruction reactions of 1 and 5 led to formation of oxomolybdenum(IV) complex of the MoOL type.  相似文献

Three new coordination complexes, 2{[Co(L1)2]ClO4} · 0.5CH3OH (1), [Mn(L2)2] (2), and [Cu(HL2)(L2)]ClO4 · 2H2O (3) have been synthesized from two tridentate N,N,O-donor hydrazone ligands HL1, 2-acetylpyridine-salicyloylhydrazone, and HL2, 2-benzoylpyridine-salicyloylhydrazone, respectively and thoroughly characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV–Vis, electrochemical, and room temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. Structures of the complexes have been unequivocally established by single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. Structural analysis reveals that 1 consists of two chemically similar but crystallographically independent cationic [Co(L1)2]+ units and 2 consists of a neutral [Mn(L2)2] molecule while 3 consists of a cationic [Cu(HL2)(L2)]+ unit. Metal ions display distorted octahedral geometry in 1 and 2 while in 3 it shows a distorted square pyramidal geometry. Ligand conformations around the metal ions are stabilized by the presence of intra-ligand hydrogen bonding in all the complexes. Structure of 3 reveals that a perchlorate ion linked to the complex by hydrogen bonding via a water molecule.  相似文献

Two d10 Schiff-base complexes, Zn2(L1)2(H2O)6 ? SO4 (1) and Cd(L2)2(H2O)4 (2) [HL1 = 3-((pyrid-3-yl)-methylene)aminobenzoic acid; HL2 = 4-((pyrid-3-yl)-methylene)aminobenzoic acid], have been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR spectra, and thermal studies, as well as single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is a dinuclear macrocyclic structure with 22-membered rings and is assembled into a 3-D sandwich supramolecular network motif through H-bonding interactions; 2 is a mononuclear structure and is interlinked through H-bonding and π ··· π stacking contacts to generate another 3-D supramolecular network. Furthermore, fluorescent properties of the two complexes are also reported.  相似文献
