Two complexes, [Zn2L(µ-OAc)](ClO4) (1) and [Mn2L(OAc)2]?·?4H2O (2), were synthesized by [2?+?2] cyclo-condensation between 2,6-diformyl-4-fluorophenol and 1,3-propyldiamine in the presence of metal ions M(II) (M?=?Zn and Mn), and were characterized by chemical analyses, IR spectra, electrospray mass spectra, and X-ray determinations. The results show that 1 forms dimers through hydrogen bonding. In 2, lattice waters, forming a 1-D water chain, function as glue to form a 3-D supramolecular network through extended hydrogen bonding. pBR322 plasmid DNA can be transformed to nicked form in air by 1 or nicked and linear forms in air by 2. Moreover, their antibacterial activities against S. aureus were investigated using penicillin as reference system.  相似文献

Three new azamacrocylic complexes of divalent transition-metal ions were synthesized by taking Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) metal ions as templates. The macrocyclic ligand (12Z,52Z,54E)-11,12,13,14,15,16,51,52,53,54,55,56-dodecahydro-2,4,6,8-tetraaza-1 (2,4),5(4,2)-pyrimidine-3,7(1,2)-dibenzenacyclooctaphane-16,56-dione was derived from o-phenylenediamine (OPD) and 2-thiobarbituric acid (TBA). All the complexes were fully characterized through spectroscopic techniques and elemental analyses. The structures of the macrocyclic complexes were determined by IR, UV–vis, ESI-MS, TGA, molar conductance, magnetic moment, and electron spin resonance data. On the basis of the above studies, the complexes may be formulated as [MLX2], in which L is a macrocyclic ligand and X = CH3COO. All the macrocyclic complexes were biologically screened to evaluate their antimicrobial efficacy. DNA binding study of two representative complexes was performed by UV–vis titrations.  相似文献

Two symmetrical and asymmetrical Zn(II) complexes of a pentadentate (N5) macrocyclic Schiff-base ligands, were prepared via templated [1 + 1] cyclocondensation of 2,6-diacetylpyridine with two different amines containing piperazine moiety. The complexes have been characterized by a variety of methods including, IR, FAB mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and conductivity measurements. The crystal structure of the asymmetric complex, [ZnL1Br]ClO4 was determined by X-ray diffraction. It is shown that in the solid state the complex adopts a distorted pentagonal–pyramidal geometry, with the macrocycle in the pentagonal plane and the bromide ion in the axial position.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized with 22 and 24 membered tetramide macrocyclic ligands viz; 1,9,12,20-tetraaza-2,8,13,19-tetraone-5,16-dithiacyclodocosane [L1] and 1,9,13,21-tetraaza-2,8,14,20-tetraone-5,17-dithiacyclotetracosane [L2] and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic EPR spectral studies and electrochemical properties. The molar conductance of all the complexes in DMSO solution is corresponding to 1:2 electrolyte. Thus these complexes may be formulated as [M(L′)]Cl2 [where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) L′ = L1 and L2]. On the basis of spectral studies a distorted octahedral geometry has been assigned for all the complexes. The ligands and their complexes were also screened in vitro against two pathogenic fungi (F. moniliformae and R. solani) to assess their growth inhibiting potential.  相似文献

Three new dibenzimidazolium salts bridged by 2-methylenepropane-1,3-diyl group were synthesized. Their dinuclear N-heterocyclic carbene Ag(I) complexes were prepared by the reactions of these salts with Ag2O. The structures of the synthesized compounds were defined by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), elemental analysis, and LC-MSMS (for complexes) techniques. Stability of the silver complexes was confirmed by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Catalytic activities of Ag(I) compounds were tested for three-component coupling reaction of some aldehydes, amines, and phenylacetylene.  相似文献

A new macrocyclic ligand, 1,3,5-triaza-2,4:7,8:13,14-tribenzo-9,12-dioksa-cyclopentadeca-1,5-diene was synthesized by reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 1,2-bis(2-carboxyaldehyde phenoxy)ethane. Then, its Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Co(III) and La(III) complexes were synthesized by the template effect by the reaction of 2,6-diaminopyridine and 1,2-bis(2-carboxyaldehyde phenoxy)ethane and Cu(NO3)2 · 3H2O, Ni(NO3)2 · 6H2O, Pb(NO3)2, Co(NO3)2 · 6H2O, La(NO3)3 · 6H2O, respectively. The ligand and its metal complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV-Vis spectra, magnetic susceptibility, thermal gravimetric analysis, conductivity measurements, mass spectra, and cyclic voltammetry. All complexes are diamagnetic and Cu(II) complex is binuclear. The Co(II) was oxidized to Co(III). The comparative electrochemical studies show that the nickel complex exhibited a quasi-reversible one-electron reduction process, while copper and cobalt complexes gave irreversible reduction processes in DMSO solution.  相似文献

A new series of mercaptopyrimidine Ru(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized using various spectral techniques like single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopies, thermogravimetric analysis and energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis. The complexes were evaluated for their pharmacological activities like in vitro antimicrobial, anticancer, antituberculosis and antioxidant activities. The DNA binding of the complexes was investigated by absorption and emission spectral measurements which indicated that the complexes bind to DNA via intercalation, with molecular docking studies validating the results. DNA cleavage studies of the complexes were carried out.  相似文献

Four new substituted amino acid ligands, N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-glycine acid (HL1), N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-alanine acid (HL2), N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-phenylalanine acid (HL3), and N-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-leucine acid (HL4), were synthesized and characterized on the basis of 1H NMR, IR, ESI-MS, and elemental analyses. The crystal structures of their copper(II) complexes [Cu(L1)2]·2H2O (1), [Cu(L2)2(H2O)] (2), [Cu(L3)2(CH3OH)] (3), and [Cu(L4)2(H2O)]·H2O (4) were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The ligands coordinate with copper(II) through secondary amine and carboxylate in all complexes. In 2, 3, and 4, additional water or methanol coordinates, completing a distorted tetragonal pyramidal coordination geometry around copper. Fluorescence titration spectra, electronic absorption titration spectra, and EB displacement indicate that all the complexes bind to CT-DNA. Intrinsic binding constants of the copper(II) complexes with CT-DNA are 1.32?×?106?M?1, 4.32?×?105?M?1, 5.00?×?105?M?1, and 5.70?×?104?M?1 for 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Antioxidant activities of the compounds have been investigated by spectrophotometric measurements. The results show that the Cu(II) complexes have similar superoxide dismutase activity to that of native Cu, Zn-SOD.  相似文献

Flavonoids are a group of plant phenolics that provide various health benefits through cell signalling pathways and antioxidant effects. In the present study, a new series of mixed ligand complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) were synthesized by incorporating curcumin and quercetin flavonoid precursors. The structural features of the synthesized complexes were explored using elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, UV–visible, infrared, NMR, mass and electron paramagnetic resonance spectral analyses and conductivity measurements. These data support an octahedral geometry of the synthesized complexes. In silico biological activity score for the ligand was predicted using PASS online software. ADMET properties were studied using VLS3D online software. Anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant activities were experimentally validated which prove that theoretical predictions are in agreement with the experimental results. Interestingly the synthesized complexes interact with calf thymus DNA through groove binding mode. Moreover, they have good potential to cleave pUC19 DNA. Minimum inhibitory concentration values of the synthesized complexes reveal that they have better antimicrobial efficacy than the ligands.  相似文献

Two new isomorphous tetranuclear complexes [Cu4L2(4,4′-bipy)2]·(ClO4)4·2CH3CN·2H2O (1) and [Zn4L2(4,4′-bipy)2]·(ClO4)3·CH3O·4H2O (2) have been obtained and fully characterized (where bipy = bipyridine, H2L = macrocycle is the [2+2] condensation product of 2,6-diformyl-4-fluoro-phenol and 1,4-diaminobutane). They exhibit wheel-like configuration in which two 4,4′-bipy molecules connect two dinuclear [M2L]2+ units. The interactions of the complexes with calf thymus DNA were studied by UV-Vis and CD spectroscopic techniques. The binding constants of 1 and 2 are 2.27 × 106 and 3.89 × 105 M−1, respectively. The magnetic measurement of 1 reveals that there are strong antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -272.6 cm−1) between two Cu(II) ions in the macrocyclic unit and ferromagnetic interaction (j′ = 41.7) between the Cu(II) ions in two adjacent macrocyclic units. Furthermore, the cyclic voltammogram of 1 shows that it undergoes two quasi-reversible processes with the half wave potentials -0.232 and -0.606 V, respectively.  相似文献

New macrocyclic complexes were synthesized by template reaction of 1,7-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane, 1,4-bis(2-carboxyaldehydephenoxy)butane or 1,3-bis(2-carboxyaldehydephenoxy)propane with 1,4-bis(2-aminophenoxy)butane, 1,3-bis(2-aminophenoxy)butane, 1,4-bis(4-chloro-2-aminophenoxy)butane or 1,3-bis(4-chloro-2-aminophenoxy)butane and Cu(NO3)2 ·?3H2O or Cu(ClO4)2 ·?6H2O, respectively. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–Vis spectra, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements and mass spectra. All complexes are diamagnetic and binuclear.  相似文献

Five complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of lanthanide(III) nitrate with 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) and p-hydroxybenzoic acid (L). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR, TG-DTA, XPS, and transmission electron microscope. The general formula of the complexes is Na[Ln(TTA)3L] (Ln?=?La3+,?Ce3+,?Nd3+,?Eu3+,?Er3+). The antibacterial activities indicate that all five complexes exhibit antibacterial ability against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus with broad antimicrobial spectrums. The antitumor activity of the five complexes against K562 tumor cell in vitro is measured using methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetry. The results show that the complexes induce K562 tumor cell apoptosis, and the complexes exhibit inhibitory effect on leukemia K562 cells.  相似文献

Mixed ligand complexes having the formulae Cu(RPO)2Py2, Cu(RPO)2Im2 and Cu(DBO)2Py2 [RPO = resacetophenone oxime, DBO = 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone oxime, Py = pyridine and Im = imidazole] have been synthesized and characterized by UV–Vis, IR, ESR, cyclic voltammetry and magnetic susceptibility methods. Absorption studies revealed that each of these octahedral complexes is an avid binder of calf thymus DNA. The apparent binding constants for mixed ligand complexes are in order of 104–105 M−1. Based on the data obtained in the DNA binding studies a partial intercalative mode of binding is suggested for these complexes. The nucleolytic cleavage activity of the adducts was carried out on double stranded pBR322 circular plasmid DNA by using a gel electrophoresis experiment in the presence and absence of oxidant (H2O2). All the metal complexes cleaved supercoiled DNA by hydrolytic and oxidative paths. The oxidative path dominates the hydrolytic cleavage. The hydrolytic cleavage of DNA is evidenced from the control experiments showing discernable cleavage inhibition in the presence of the hydroxyl radical inhibitor DMSO or the singlet oxygen quencher azide ion.  相似文献

A new macrocyclic ligand H2L (H2L = 1,2-[bis(6′-pyridine-2′-carboxamido)-ethane]benzene) has been designed and synthesized by condensation of pyridine-carboxylic acid and diamine. Its Mn(III) and Fe(III) complexes, [Mn(L)Cl (DMF)] and [Fe(L)Cl], were prepared and respectively characterized by IR, UV-Vis, ESI-Mass, elemental analysis and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The catalytic abilities of them were examined, and up to 95% yield was achieved in epoxidation of styrene. The preliminary investigation of catalytic mechanism by manganese complex was carried out, suggesting the involvement of Mn(V) oxo species during catalysis.  相似文献

Quinoline bridged imidazolium precursors 5,8‐bis(NR‐imidazolylidenylmethylene)quinoline PF6 salts [H2L](PF6)2 [R = Me ( 1a ), R = naphthylmethyl ( 1b )] were prepared by quaternization of N‐methylimidazole and N‐naphthylmethylimidazole with 5,8‐bis(bromomethyl)quinoline, respectively. Reaction of the imidazolium ligands 1a and 1b with Hg(OAc)2 and Ag2O in acetonitrile gave the macrocyclic transition metal carbene complexes [Hg2L2](PF6)4 ( 2a and 2b ) and [Ag2L2](PF6)2 ( 3a and 3b ), respectively. All the N‐heterocyclic carbene complexes were characterized in detail by NMR, ESI‐MS, and elemental analysis. Structures of complexes 2a and 3a were determined by X‐ray diffraction studies. Structural studies revealed that the coordination arrangement of the central mercury atom in complex 2a displays a tricoordinate mode and the molecular conformation results in a“closed” form with the bridging quinoline functionality in the macrocycle, whereas the silver complex 3a does not show an coordiantion between the bridging quinoline and the AgI ion, which results in an “open” conformation of the macrocycle. The HgII and AgI NHC complexes showed similar UV absorption and luminescence in acetonitrile solutions.  相似文献
