The Co(NH3)5OH23+ ion reacts with malonate to form Co(NH3)5O2CCH2CO2H2+ or Co(NH3)5O2CCH2CO2+, depending on the pH of the reaction solution. The kinetics of this anation reaction have been studied as a function of [H+] for the acidity range 1.5 ≤ pH ≤ 6.0 in the temperature range of 60 to 80°C, the [total malonate] ≤ 0.5 M, and the ionic strength 1.0M. The anation by malonic acid follows second-order kinetics, the rate constant being 8.0 × 10?5 M?1·sec?1 at 70°C, and the anations by bimalonate (Q1, k1) and malonate ion (Q2, k2) are consistent with an Id mechanism. Typical values at 70°C for the ion pair formation constants are Q1 = 1.3, Q2 = 5.4M?1; and for the interchange rate constants k1 = 5.3 × 10?4; k2 = 7.3 × 10?4 sec?1. The activation parameters for the various rate constants are reported and the results discussed with reference to previously reported data for similar systems.  相似文献

Abstract

The kinetics and stability constants of l-tyrosine complexation with copper(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) have been studied in aqueous solution at 25° and ionic strength 0.1 M. The reactions are of the type M(HL)(3-n)+ n-1 + HL- ? M(HL)(2-n)+n(kn, forward rate constant; k-n, reverse rate constant); where M=Cu, Co or Ni, HL? refers to the anionic form of the ligand in which the hydroxyl group is protonated, and n=1 or 2. The stability constants (Kn=kn/k-n) of the mono and bis complexes of Cu2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ with l-tyrosine, determined by potentiometric pH titration are: Cu2+, log K1=7.90 ± 0.02, log K2=7.27 ± 0.03; Co2+, log K1=4.05 ± 0.02, log K2=3.78 ± 0.04; Ni2+, log K1=5.14 ± 0.02, log K2=4.41 ± 0.01. Kinetic measurements were made using the temperature-jump relaxation technique. The rate constants are: Cu2+, k1=(1.1 ± 0.1) × 109 M ?1 sec?1, k-1=(14 ± 3) sec?1, k2=(3.1 ± 0.6) × 108 M ?1 sec?1, k?2=(16 ± 4) sec?1; Co2+, k1=(1.3 ± 0.2) × 106 M ?1 sec?1, k-1=(1.1 ± 0.2) × 102 sec?1, k2=(1.5 ± 0.2) × 106 M ?1 sec?1, k-2=(2.5 ± 0.6) × 102 sec?1; Ni2+, k1=(1.4 ± 0.2) × 104 M ?1 sec?1, k-1=(0.10 ± 0.02) sec?1, k2=(2.4 ± 0.3) × 104 M ?1 sec?1, k-2=(0.94 ± 0.17) sec?1. It is concluded that l-tyrosine substitution reactions are normal. The presence of the phenyl hydroxyl group in l-tyrosine has no primary detectable influence on the forward rate constant, while its influence on the reverse rate constant is partially attributed to substituent effects on the basicity of the amine terminus.  相似文献

The equilibrium quotients for the formation of Co(NH3)5Cl2+ from Co(NH3)5OH23+ and Cl? were 3.74±0.25 M?1 and 6.07±0.54 M?1 at 45.0°C in 10:1 mole ratio water: dimethyl sulfoxide and in 25 w/w % aqueous ethanol, respectively, and those forthe formation of the ion pair Co(NH3)5OH23+ . Cl? were 1.21±0.20 M?1 and 1.58±0.17 M?1, respectively, in the same solvents. The aquation and anation rateconstants were determined at 45.0°C for these two solvents over the range of chloride-ion concentrations 0.0 ≤ [Cl?] ≤ 0.9 M. The aquation rate constant was essentially independent of chloride-ion concentration in each solvent over this range. The inverse of the pseudo-first-order anation rate constant was linearly dependent on the inverse of the chloride-ion concentration in each solvent. The least squares relationships between (1/kan) and (1/[Cl?]) gave intercepts and ratios of intercept to slope which were analyzed interms of Id and D mechanisms. It was concluded that the data were not satisfied by a D mechanism, but that they were consistent with an Id mechanism.  相似文献

The reactions of Fe(CN)5dpa3? and Ru(NH3)5dpa2+ (dpa = 4,4′-dipyridylamine) with Co(edta)? have been investigated kinetically. For Fe(CN)5dpa3? complex, a linear relationship was observed between the pseudo-First-order rate constants and the concentrations of Co(edta) which leads to a specific rate 0.876 ± 0.006 M?1S?1 at T = 25°C., μ = 0.10 M and pH = 8.0. For the Ru(NH3)5dpa2+ system, the plots kobs vs [Co(edta)?] become nonlinear at concentrations of Co(edta) greater than 0.01 M and the reaction is interpreted on the basis of a mechanism involving the formation of an ion pair between Ru(NH3)5dpa2+ and Co(edta)? followed by electron transfer from Ru(II) to Co(III). The nonlinear least squares fit of the kinetic results shows that Qip = 10.6 ± 0.7 M?1 and ket = 93.9 ± 0.7 s?1 at pH = 8.0,μ = 0.10 M and T = 25°C.  相似文献

Kinetics of the complex formation of chromium(III) with alanine in aqueous medium has been studied at 45, 50, and 55°C, pH 3.3–4.4, and μ = 1 M (KNO3). Under pseudo first-order conditions the observed rate constant (kobs) was found to follow the rate equation: Values of the rate parameters (kan, k, KIP, and K) were calculated. Activation parameters for anation rate constants, ΔH(kan) = 25 ± 1 kJ mol?1, ΔH(k) = 91 ± 3 kJ mol?1, and ΔS(kan) = ?244 ± 3 JK?1 mol?1, ΔS(k) = ?30 ± 10 JK?1 mol?1 are indicative of an (Ia) mechanism for kan and (Id) mechanism for k routes (‥substrate Cr(H2O) is involved in the k route whereas Cr(H2O)5OH2+ is involved in k′ route). Thermodynamic parameters for ion-pair formation constants are found to be ΔH°(KIP) = 12 ± 1 kJ mol?1, ΔH°(K) = ?13 ± 3 kJ mol?1 and ΔS°(KIP) = 47 ± 2 JK?1 mol?1, and ΔS°(K) = 20 ± 9 JK?1 mol?1.  相似文献
