Crystal structure and fluorescence spectrum of the complex [Eu(III)(TTA)3(phen)]

The title complex Eu(III)(TTA)₃(phen) (where TTA = thenoyltrifluoroacetone monoanion; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been synthesized in mixed solvents of acetone and ethanol (1:1 volume ratio) and its crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex crystals are triclinic, space group P 1 (# 2) with cell dimensions of a = 1.32.41 (2) nm, b = 1.5278(4) nm, c = 0.9755(3) nm, α = 92.49 (2)°, β = 102.57(2)°, γ = 91.62(2)°, V = 1.9268(8) nm³, Z = 2, μ (Mo Ka)= 18.77 cm^?1, D_x=1.720 g/cm³. The coordination geometry of Eu atom is a distorted square antiprism, and the encapsulated structure that can meet the structural requirement of the typical europium luminescent sensor. The fluorescence spectrum suggests that the complex is a strong photoluminescent material.     

Synthesis,crystal structure,and luminescence of a quaternary binuclear europium complex [Eu2(phth)2(Hphth)2(phen)2(H2O)4]

A quaternary binuclear europium complex [Eu₂(phth)₂(Hphth)₂(phen)₂(H₂O)₄] (H₂phth?=?phthalic acid, phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline) has been synthesized. The structure was determined by X-ray crystallography which reveals that it is binuclear with each europium nine-coordinate. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the complex units to form a 3D supermolecular network. Its properties have been studied by means of luminescence spectrum and thermal analysis. Fluorescence spectra show that the complex exhibits strong red emission.     

Synthesis and crystal structure of nitrosoruthenium aquadiammine complex, [Ru(NO)(NH3)2Cl2(H2O)]Cl·H2O

The reaction between [RuNO(NH₃)₂(NO₂)₂OH] and an excess of 3 M HCl leads to denitration of the starting complex and precipitation of [Ru(NO)(NH₃)₂Cl₃]. Crystals of the tittle complex have been obtained by evaporation of the mother liquor at ambient temperature. The crystal structure of the product has been determined. The linear nitroso group and a water molecule are coordinated in the trans positions, three nitrogen atoms from NO and NH₃ ligands occupy the coordination octahedron face.     

Synthesis,characterization, and DNA-binding of [Co(phen)2(CPIA)]3+, [Co(phen)2(BIP)]3+, and [Co(phen)2(CIP)]3+

Three ligands, 2-(3-(carboxymethyl)-1,10-phenanthroline-[5,6-d]imidazole-1-yl)acetate (CPIA), 2-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-4-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline (BIP), and 2-(9H-carbazol-3-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline (CIP), and their complexes, [Co(phen)₂(CPIA)]³⁺ (1) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), [Co(phen)₂(BIP)]³⁺ (2), and [Co(phen)₂(CIP)]³⁺ (3), have been synthesized and characterized. Binding of the three complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) has been investigated by spectroscopic methods, cyclic voltammetry, and viscosity measurements. The three complexes bind to DNA through an intercalative mode, and the size and shape of the intercalative ligands have significant effects on the binding affinity of complexes to CT-DNA.     

Synthesis,X-ray crystal structure and electrochemical properties of (dithiolato)(diimine)copper(II) complexes: [Cu(mnt)(phen)] n and [Cu(dmit)(phen)] 2

Copper (II) complexes [Cu(dmit)(phen)]₂ (1) and [Cu(mnt)(phen)] _n (2) (mnt^2??=?maleonitriledithiolate, dmit^2??=?1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate, phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline) have been prepared by ligand-exchange between phen and [N(Bu)₄]₂[Cu(dmit)₂] or [N(Bu)₄]₂[Cu(mnt)₂]. Both complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic, electrochemical, and single-crystal X-ray analysis. In complex 1, dimers are extended into a two-dimensional array by weak S5–Cu contacts. In complex 2, monomers are extended into chains in a head-to-tail arrangement by weak Cu–S coordination bonds and π–π stacking interactions.     

Direct synthesis of a dimeric mixed-anion lead(II) complex,crystal structure of [Pb(phen)(2OCCH3)(NCS)]2

A lead(II) complex with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) containing two different anions has been synthesized using a direct synthetic method and characterized by IR and CHN elemental analysis. The structure of [Pb(phen)(₂OCCH₃)(NCS)]₂ was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. The single crystal X-ray data of this compound shows the complex to be dimeric as a result of acetate ligand bridging. The Pb atom has an unsymmetrical six-coordinate geometry, being coordinated by three nitrogen atoms of 1,10-phenanhroline and the thiocyanate ligand and three oxygen atoms of the acetate ligand. The arrangement of the 1,10-phenanhroline, acetate and thiocyanate ligands exhibits a coordination gap around the Pb(II) ion, occupied possibly by a stereoactive lone pair of electrons on lead(II), with the coordination around lead atoms being hemidirected. There is a π–π stacking interaction between the parallel aromatic rings that may help to increase the ‘gap’ in the coordination geometry around the Pb(II) ion.     

Hydrothermal synthesis, crystal structure and properties of 2-D and 3-D lanthanide sulfates

Two new lanthanum sulfates DySO₄(OH) 1 and Eu₂(SO₄)₃(H₂O)₈2 have been hydrothermally synthesized. The colorless crystals were characterized by IR, TGA, ICP and XRD. The structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 crystallizes with monoclinic symmetry, space group P2(1)/n [a=7.995(4) Å, b=10.945(5) Å, c=8.164(4) Å, α=90°, β=93.619(6)°, γ=90°, V=713.0(5) Å³, Z=8]. It displays a three-dimensional framework, based on the novel Dy-O chains connected by the sulfate groups through helical chains. 2 crystallizes with monoclinic symmetry, space group C2/c, [a=13.5605(17) Å, b=6.7676(8) Å, c=18.318(2) Å, α=90°, β=102.265(2)°, γ=90°, V=1642.7 (4) Å³, Z=4]. Its layered framework is attained by the europium atoms connected by the sulfate groups arranged in a helical manner.

Synthesis,crystal structure,and characterization of [Nd(tcph)(Htcph)(H2O)5]

A lanthanide complex [Nd(tcph)(Htcph)(H₂O)₅] (1) (H₂tcph?=?tetrachlorophthalic acid) has been characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra. In the title complex, Nd³⁺ is coordinated by two tetrachlorophthalic acid ligands in a bidentate chelated pattern. Furthermore, the complex contains infinite chains linked by hydrogen bonds.     

One new lanthanide complex with mixed sulfate and oxalate ligands: hydrothermal synthesis,crystal structure,and magnetic properties

A new lanthanide complex K[Gd(ox)(SO₄)(H₂O)] (1) with sulfate and oxalate ligands has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P₂₁/c with a = 6.5849(1) Å, b = 8.5660(1) Å, c = 14.7660(2) Å, β = 112.470(1)°, C₂H₂GdKO₉S, M = 398.46, Z = 4, V = 769.66(2) ų, F(000) = 740, R ₁ = 0.0199 and ωR = 0.0514. The solid-state DC magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 revealed antiferromagnetic behavior with an S = 7/2 ground spin state.     

铋(Ⅲ)配合物Bi(1,10-phen)[S2CN(CH3)2]2(NO3),

Three bismuth（Ⅲ） complexes Bi（1,10-phen）[S2CN（CH3）2]2（NO3） （1）, {Bi（S2COCH3）[S2CNC6Hs（CH3）]2}2 （2） and [Bi（S2CNBu2）2（CH3OH）（NO3）]∞ （3） were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra. Their crystal structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. Studies show that complex 1 has a monomeric structure with the central bismuth atom eight-coordinated in a capped distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. The complex 2 takes centrosymmetric dimeric structure and the bismuth atoms are seven-coordinated in distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry.In complex 3, the bismuth atoms are seven-coordinated in distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry by bridging nitrate O atoms and the resulting structure is onedimensional infinite chain polymer.     

{[Eu(2,5-PDA)(OAc)(H2O)]·1.5H2O}n稀土配合物的晶体结构及荧光性质

Synthesis, crystal and molecular structure and magnetic properties of [Mn(saloph)(N3)(CH3OH)]

The mononuclear manganese(III) complex of formula [Mn(saloph)(N₃)(CH₃OH)] [saloph=N,N′-o-phenylenebis(salicylidenaminato)] has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. The compound has a 1D hydrogen-bonded extended structure. Both the FT-IR spectrum and the electrospray ionization mass spectrum (ESI-MS) of the title compound have been recorded. The thermogravimetric analysis has also been carried out. Magnetic calculations showed the presence of antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the manganese(III) ions through hydrogen bonds with J=−4.0 cm⁻¹.

标题配合物晶体属三斜晶系，Ｐ１空间群，晶胞参数ａ＝１０７９２（２）ｎｍ，ｂ＝１１８９６（２）ｎｍ，ｃ＝１２４４６ｎｍ，α＝１０５１２（３）°，β＝９３７６（３）°，γ＝１１３１９（３）°，Ｖ＝１３９２（１）ｎｍ－３，Ｚ＝２，Ｄｘ＝１６５９ｇ·ｃｍ－３。配合物晶体由双核分子组成，两个中心Ｅｕ３＋通过羧基桥联，它们的化学环境相同。Ｅｕ３＋的配位数为８，其配位多面体为一畸变的四方反棱柱体。在７７Ｋ配合物的荧光光谱说明配合物中仅存在一种Ｅｕ３＋格位。     

A dinuclear diamagnetic copper(II) complex [Cu2(ophen)2]Cl2 with hydroxylated phen

A dinuclear diamagnetic copper(II) complex, [Cu₂(ophen)₂]Cl₂ (Hophen = 2-hydroxy-1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized, providing good structural evidence for the long-debated Gillard mechanism.     

Hydrothermal synthesis and crystal structure of a layered coordination polymer: [Zn2(C2O4)2(C3N2H4)2] n

A new metal-organic coordination polymer [Zn₂(C₂O₄)₂(C₃N₂H₄)₂] _n (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized with ZnCl₂·2H₂O, oxalic acid and imidazole. The compound has a 2D network, consisting of infinite zinc(II) oxalate chains connected to each other by three-coordinate oxygen atoms. Within the chains, the zinc atoms are each octahedrally coordinated by one nitrogen atom from imidazole and five oxygen atoms from oxalate groups. Furthermore, there are two coordination modes of oxalate to zinc ions: chelate bis-bidentate and chelate/bridging bis-bidentate in compound 1, and the latter is rare among related compounds.
