The nickel(II) complex of N-[ethyl(propan-2-yl)carbamothioyl]-4-nitrobenzamide has been synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry (atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry). The single-crystal X-ray structures of N-[ethyl(propan-2-yl)carbamothioyl]-4-nitrobenzamide (1) and bis[N-[ethyl(propan-2-yl)carbamothioyl]-4-nitrobenzamide]nickel(II) (2) have been determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. Loss of the N–H proton resonance and the N–H stretching vibration and the shift of the νC=O and νC=S stretching vibrations confirm formation of the metal complex. These studies show that the metal complex is neutral in cis-configuration. The complex has been used as a single-source precursor for the deposition of nickel sulfide nanocrystals by thermolysis. The nickel sulfide nanocrystals were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.  相似文献

4-Bromo-N-(di-R-carbamothioyl)benzamide (R = methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl and phenyl) ligands and their Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structure of bis(4-bromo-N-(di-n-propylcarbamothioyl)benzamido)nickel(II) has been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. It crystallizes in the triclinic, space group P 1, Z = 2 with a = 9.286(2) Å, b = 13.215(3) Å, c = 14.125(3) Å, α = 64.180(5)°, β = 85.483(6)°, γ = 83.067(5)°, V = 1548.3(7) Å3 and D Calcd = 1.594 mg m?3. Loss of the N–H proton resonance and the N–H stretching vibration and the shift of the ν C=O and ν C=S stretching vibrations confirm formation of the metal complexes. These studies have shown that the metal complexes are neutral cis-[ML2].  相似文献

The synthesis of a new Schiff base containing 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxaldehyde and 2-mercaptoethylamine is described. The reaction of 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxaldehyde with 2-mercaptoethylamine leads to 2,9-bis(2-ethanthiazolinyl)-1,10-phenanthroline (I) which undergoes rearrangement when reacted with manganese, nickel, copper or zinc ions to produce complexes of the tautomeric Schiff base 2,9-bis[2-(2-mercaptoethyl)-2-azaethene]-1,10-phenanthroline (L). The [M(L)Cl2] complexes [where M = Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions] were characterized by physical and spectroscopic measurements which indicated that the ligand is a tetradentate N4 chelating agent.  相似文献

The bis[N-methyl-N-(N'-methylbenzamido)-β-alaninato]copper(II), Cu(II)[Me-MeBA]2, is synthesized by reacting bis(β-alaninato)copper(II) with formaldehyde and benzamide in the presence of a base (NaOH) over the pH range 5.5-8.5. However, the bis[N,N-di (N'-methylbenzamido)-β-alaninato]metal(II) complexes, M(II)[DMeBA]2 (M = Zn, Ni, Co), are obtained when the respective bis(β-alaninato)metal(II) reacts with formaldehyde and benzamide in the presence of the base in similar pH ranges. Nevertheless, Cu(II)[DMeBA]2 can be synthesized if the reaction is carried out in the absence of base. The M(II)[DMeBA]2 complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV-Visible spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility measurements. X-ray crystal structure analysis of Cu(II)[Me-MeBA]2 suggests that the N'-methylbenzamido substituent of the β-alanine moiety is formed through Mannich aminomethylation, and that the other N-methyl substituent is formed via a Canizzaro-type methylation.  相似文献

Two copper(I) complexes [Cu(Cin2bda)2]ClO4 (I) and [Cu(Ncin2bda)2]ClO4 (II) have been prepared by the reaction of the ligands N2,N2′-bis(3-phenylallylidene)biphenyl-2,2′-diamine (L1) and N2,N2′-bis[3-(2-nitrophenyl)allylidene]biphenyl-2,2′-diamine (L2) and copper(I) salt. These compounds were characterized by CHN analyses, 1H NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The C=N stretching frequency in the copper(I) complexes shows a shift to a lower frequency relative to the free ligand due to the coordination of the nitrogen atoms. The crystal and molecular structure of II was determined by X-ray single-crystal crystallography. The coordination polyhedron about the copper(I) center in the complex is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. A quasireversible redox behavior was observed for complexes I and II. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

Two new trans-bis(dicyanamido)nickel(II) macrocyclic complexes, [Ni(II)(L1){N(CN)2}2] · H2O (1) and [Ni(II)-(L3){N(CN)2}2] (2), where L1 is 3,10-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3,5,8,10,12-hexaazacyclotetradecane and L3 is 3,14-dimethyl-2,6,13,17-tetraazatricyclo[14,4,01.18,07.12]docosane, have been synthesized and structurally characterized by spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic methods. In (1) and (2), each central nickel(II) ion possesses a distorted octahedral geometry with four equatorial nitrogen atoms from the macrocycle and two axial nitrogen atoms from dicyanamide anions, which are terminally bonded to the central nickel atom. The solid state electronic spectra of (1) and (2) using the diffuse reflectance method show a characteristic high-spin d8 nickel(II) ion in a distorted octahedral environment.  相似文献

A cis-geometry was proposed for the green complex bis(β-mercaptoethylamine) nickel(II) on the basis of its reactivity, IR spectroscopy and orbital geometry considerations. The crystal and molecular structure of this complex has been determined by X-ray diffraction and shows that the complex has a trans geometry. The crystal structure consists of trans-NiL2 molecules strongly linked through NH-S hydrogen bonds. Electronic and IR spectroscopy, and powder X-ray analysis are in agreement with the same trans geometry for the complexes bis(β-mercaptoethylamine)palladium(II) and bis-(γ-mercaptopropylamine)nickel(II). As a result of the new assignment of the structure of these complexes some concepts, such as its reactivity with nickel(II), are reconsidered.  相似文献

Bis(N-alkyldithiocarbamato)nickel(II) complexes (1–5) [Ni(S2CNHR)2] (where R?=?Me, Et, n-Pr, i-Pr, n-Bu) were synthesized by the reaction of NiCl2?·?6H2O and the corresponding sodium salt of N-alkyldithiocarbamate in 1?:?2 molar ratio in aqueous medium. These bis(N-alkyldithiocarbamato)nickel(II) complexes (1–5) were characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Visible, IR, and 1H/13C-NMR spectroscopy. The crystallographic investigation of [Ni(S2CNH(n-Pr))2] (3) and [Ni(S2CNH(i-Pr))2] (4) revealed distorted square-planar geometry around nickel(II). The dithiocarbamates have anisobidentate coordination with nickel and the dithiocarbamates are trans.  相似文献

Two new Ni(II) complexes of 2,6-bis[1-(2,6-diethylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine (L1), 2,6-bis[1-(4-methylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine (L2 ) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex Ni(L1)Cl2?·?CH3CN (1), exhibits a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry, whereas complex Ni(L1)(CH3CN)Cl2 (2), is six-coordinate with a geometry that can best be described as distorted octahedral. The catalytic activities of complexes 1, 2, Ni{2,6-bis[1-(2,6-diisopropyl-phenylimino)ethyl]pyridine} Cl2?·?CH3CN (3), and Ni{2,6-bis[1-(2,6-dimethylphenylimino) ethyl]pyridine}Cl2?·?CH3CN (4), for ethylene polymerization were studied under activation with MAO.  相似文献

Herein, we explore the coordination of di- and triimine chelators at ruthenium(II) and ruthenium(III) centers. The reactions of 2,6-bis-((4-tetrahydropyranimino)methyl)pyridine (thppy), N1,N2-bis((3-chromone)methylene)benzene-1,2-diamine (chb), and tris-((1H-pyrrol-2-ylmethylene)ethane)amine (H3pym) with trans-[RuIICl2(PPh3)3] afforded the diamagnetic ruthenium(II) complex cis-[RuCl2(thppy)(PPh3)] (1) and the paramagnetic complexes [mer-Ru2(μ-chb)Cl6(PPh3)2] (2), and [Ru(pym)] (3), respectively. The complexes were characterized by IR, NMR, and UV–vis spectroscopy and molar conductivity measurements. The structures were confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The redox properties of the metal complexes were probed via cyclic- and squarewave voltammetry. Finally, the radical scavenging capabilities of the metal complexes towards the NO and 2,2-di(4-tert-octylphenyl)-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals were investigated  相似文献

Summary Manganese(II), iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes of a new multidentate oxygen-nitrogen donor, bis(N-salicylidene)-2,3-dihydrazino-1,4-quinoxaline (H2BSDHQ) were prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, conductance, thermal, spectral and magnetic data. H2BSDHQ deprotonates to give a dibasic ONNO donor set in a trivalent iron(III) complex, which binds to the divalent metal ions in a bis-tridentate fashion, using two monobasic ONN donor sets, and resulting in polymeric complexes. Octahedral geometries are proposed for all these complexes, and preliminary studies show that they possess potential antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

The reaction of the potassium salt of the N-(thio)phosphorylated thioureas AdNHC(S)NHP(O)(OiPr)2 (HLI , Ad = Adamantyl) and MeNHC(S)NHP(S)(OiPr)2 (HLII ) with Co(II) and Zn(II) in aqueous EtOH leads to [MLI,II 2] chelate complexes. They were investigated by UV-vis, 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopy, and microanalysis. The molecular structures of [MLI 2] were elucidated by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The metal centers in both complexes are found to be in a distorted-tetrahedral O2S2 environment formed by the C=S sulfur atoms and the P=O oxygen atoms of two deprotonated LI ligands. The photoluminescence properties of [ZnLII 2] are also reported.  相似文献

A novel vic-dioxime ligand with a thiourea moiety, (4E,5E)-1,3-bis{4-[(4-bromophenylamino)methylene]phenyl}-2-thiooxaimidazoline-4,5-dione dioxime (4) (bmdH2) has been synthesized from N,N′-bis{4-[(4-bromophenylamino)methylene]phenyl}thiourea and (E,E)-dichloroglyoxime. The bmdH2 ligand (4) forms transition metal complexes [M(bmdH)2] with a metal?:?ligand ratio of 1?:?2 with M?=?Ni(II), Co(II), and Cu(II). The mononuclear Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes, [Ni(bmdH)2] (5), [Co(bmdH)2] (6) and [Cu(bmdH)2] (7) have the metal ions coordinated through the two N,N atoms, as do most vic-dioximes. Elemental analyses, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, IR, 1H NMR spectra, and UV-Visible spectroscopy were used to elucidate the structures of the ligand and its complexes. Conductivity measurements have shown that the mononuclear complexes are non-electrolytes. In addition, the ligands and metal complexes were screened for antibacterial and antifungal activities by agar well diffusion techniques using DMF as solvent.  相似文献

Tri-nuclear cobalt and nickel complexes ([(CoL)2(OAc)2Co]?·?THF (I) and [(NiL)2(OAc)2(THF)2Ni]?·?THF (II)) have been synthesized by reaction of a new Salen-type bisoxime chelating ligand of 2,2′-[ethylenedioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]dinaphthol(H2L) with cobalt(II) acetate tetrahydrate or nickel(II) acetate tetrahydrate, respectively. Complexes I and II were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG-DTA and 1H-NMR etc. The X-ray crystal structures of I and II reveal that two acetate ions coordinate to three cobalt or nickel ions through M–O–C–O–M (M?=?Co or Ni) bridges and four μ-naphthoxo oxygen atoms from two [ML] units also coordinate to cobalt(II) or nickel(II). Complex I has two distorted square-pyramidal coordination spheres and an octahedral geometry around Co1. In complex II all three nickel ions are six-coordinate.  相似文献

A series of Cu(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes of bis-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazolyl-1-methyl)-(3-phosphanyl-propyl)-amine C15H26N5P (1), prepared from 3-aminopropylphosphine and 1-hydroxymethyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazole were characterized. The nature of bonding and the geometry of the complexes have been deduced from elemental analysis, infrared, electronic, 1H NMR, 31P NMR spectra, magnetic susceptibility, and conductivity measurements. The studies indicate octahedral geometry for nickel complex and square pyramidal geometry for copper and cobalt complexes. The EPR spectra of copper complex in acetonitrile at 300 K and 77 K were recorded. Biological activities of the ligand and metal complexes have been studied on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger, and Aspergillus flavus by well-diffusion method. The zone of inhibition values were measured at 37°C for a period of 24 h. The electrochemical behavior of copper complexes was studied by cyclic voltammetry. Catalytic study indicates the copper complex has efficient catalytic activity in oxidation of amitriptyline.  相似文献

New Symmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligands N,N′-bis(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzylidene)-1,2-di-aminoethane, (234-MeO-Ba)2En, and its corresponding zinc(II) and mercury(II) complexes, Zn((234-MeO-Ba)2En)I2 (I), Hg((234-MeO-Ba)2En)Cl2 (II) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The thermal behaviors of complexes were study using thermogravimetry in order to evaluate their thermal stability and thermal decomposition pathways. The crystal structure of I was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The coordination polyhedron about the zinc(II) center in complex I is best described as a distorted tetrahedron.  相似文献

Cadmium(II) complexes, catena-poly[bis(thiocyanato-κN)bis(N-methylthiourea)cadmium(II)], [Cd(Metu)2(NCS)2]n (1) and dicyanidobis(N-methylthiourea)cadmium(II), [Cd(Metu)2(CN)2] (2) were prepared and their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray analysis. In 1, the cadmium(II) ion is bound to four sulfur atoms of bridging Metu ligands and two nitrogen atoms of thiocyanate adopting a distorted octahedral environment. In 2, the geometry around cadmium is distorted tetrahedral attained by two cyanide ions and two methylthiourea molecules bound through the sulfur atoms. The crystal structures of both complexes show intra and intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions. The complexes were also characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy and the spectroscopic data were discussed in terms of the nature of bonding.  相似文献

New N-substituted cyclam ligands 1,8-[bis(3-formyl-2-hydroxy-5-methyl)benzyl]-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, 1,8-[bis(3-formyl-2-hydroxy-5-methyl)benzyl]-4,11-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, 1,8-[bis(3-formyl-2-hydroxy-5-bromo)benzyl]-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, and 1,8-[bis(3-formyl-2-hydroxy-5-bromo)benzyl]-4,11-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (L1–L4) were synthesized and mononuclear copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes prepared. The ligands and complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, electronic, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral studies. N-alkylation causes red shifts in the λmax values of the complexes. Copper(II) complexes show one-electron, quasi-reversible reduction waves in the range ?1.04 to ?1.00 V. The nickel(II) complexes show one-electron, quasi-reversible reduction waves in the range ?1.18 to ?1.30 V and one-electron, quasi-reversible oxidation waves in the range +1.20 to +1.40 V. The reduction potential of the copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes of the ligands L1 to L2 and L3 to L4 shift anodically on N-alkylation. The ESR spectra of the mononuclear copper(II) complexes show four lines, characteristic of square-planar geometry with nuclear hyperfine spin 3/2. All copper(II) complexes show a normal room temperature magnetic moment value μeff?=?1.70–1.74 BM which is close to the spin only value of 1.73 BM. Kinetic studies on the oxidation of pyrocatechol to o-quinone using the copper(II) complexes as catalysts and on the hydrolysis of 4-nitrophenylphosphate using the copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes as catalyst were carried out. The tetra-N-substituted complexes have higher rate constants than the corresponding disubstituted complexes.  相似文献

Two ligands, N,N′-bis[1-(4-chlorophenyl)ethylidene]ethane-1,2-diamine (L1 ) and N,N′-bis- [1-(4-nitrophenyl)ethylidene]ethane-1,2-diamine (L2 ) and their corresponding copper(I) complexes, [Cu(L 1)2]ClO4 (1) and [Cu(L 2)2]ClO4 (2), have been synthesized and characterized by CHN analyses, 1H-NMR, IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The crystal structures of L1 and [Cu(L 1)2]ClO4 (1) were determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction. L1 lies across a crystallographic inversion center and the C=N is approximately coplanar with the benzene ring and adopts E configuration. The coordination polyhedron about copper(I) in 1 is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. Quasireversible redox behavior is observed for the complexes.  相似文献
