In this paper we study the transient diffusion-limited A+B0, A0 = B0 annihilation via deterministic reaction-diffusion equations and via simulation of the stochastic many-particle problem. We show that the two approaches are not equivalent and that the deterministic expressions capture only part of the picture. A lower bound is derived for the density decay which indicates that the overall density follows the power law t–x with = mm(d/4, 1). Hierarchical oscillations superimposed on the power-law decay are observed for reactions on Sierpinski gaskets.This work is dedicated to Prof. George H. Weiss.  相似文献

The diffusion limited reaction A+B0 in sufficiently low dimensions results in macroscopically self-regregated systems with anomalous reaction rate laws. When the chemical mixture is embedded in a fluctuating velocity field having statistics mimicking turbulent diffusion the effects of spatial inhomogeneities are washed out and the classical global reaction rate laws in three dimensions result.  相似文献

We consider the accumulation of immobile particles landing on a one-dimensional lattice and annihilating via the A + B 0 bimolecular reaction. Here we focus on short-range interactions with cutoff. We investigate through computer simulations both the kinetics of the particles' accumulation and also their spatial distribution. The relation between the exponents describing the growth of the particles' concentration and the correlation length of their distribution shows that the kinetics of accumulation is fluctuation-dominated.This work is dedicated to Prof. George H. The -delayed proton decay of 113Xe was investigated by means of a total absorption -ray spectrometer and a telescope for particle detection. The energy window available for the -delayed proton decay of 113Xe and the relative branching ratios for proton transitions to the 112Te states were remeasured. The lifetimes of proton unstable 113I states populated in the electron capture decay of 113Xe were determined by means of the particle-X-ray coincidence technique. The results of the lifetime measurements are compared with statistical-model calculations.  相似文献

In order to indentity the corrosion products formed on steel surfaces from 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy, detailed Mössbauer parameters have been determined for various kinds of iron-oxyhydroxides: -FeOOH, -FeOOH, -FeOOH and -FeOOH. 57Fe Mössbauer measurements of the iron oxyhydroxides indicate the following results. Fe occupies a single site in -FeOOH, but below the Néel temperature as at e.g., 300 K the Mössbauer spectrum is always broad, showing a distribution of the strength of the magnetic exchange interactions. Its shape depends on the grain-size and synthetic methods of the specimen. Fe occupies 3 sites in -FeOOH. High-purity reagents of -FeOOH always contain small amounts of -FeOOH and their Néel temperatures depend on the synthetic methods of the specimen. Mössbauer spectroscopy of the synthetic -FeOOH shows very broad distribution of the hyperfine magnetic fields.  相似文献

In this paper we show the relationship between cylindrical D2-branes and cylindrical superconducting membranes described by a generic effective action at the bosonic level. In the first case the extended objects considered, arose as blown up type IIA superstrings to D2-branes, named supertubes. In the second one, the cosmological objects arose from some sort of field theories. The Dirac–Born–Infeld action describing supertubes is shown to be equivalent to the generic effective action describing superconducting membranes via a special transformation. Boc-resin-bound -hydroxy--amino-aldehydes are accessible starting from N-terminally bound amino acidesters by using Dondoni's C1-homologationreaction sequence. The conversion of these synthons totwo different peptide mimetics – 2-hydroxy-1,3-ethyl-diamines and -hydroxy--amino-vinyl sulfones – hasbeen investigated. In-situ measurements of the temperature coefficient of resistance of electron-beam evaporated MnBi films are reported for the thickness range 30–180 nm. The thickness dependence of the temperature coefficient of resistance curves are plotted for different weight ratios, annealing times and substrate temperatures. The temperature coefficient of resistance shows marked size effect, and is negative for lower thicknesses (<100nm) and positive for higher thicknesses. The experimental data is in good agreement with the Mayadas-Shatzkes theory. The thickness dependence of the Curie temperature also indicates marked size effect.  相似文献

The characteristic factors of the gallium and vanadium chelates with the ligands 4(2pyridylazo)resorcinol (PAR) and xylenol orange (XO) have been determined with the aid of the principle of correction, which makes it possible to eliminate the influence of the surplus ligand in the solution of its chelate with methane (which makes calculation easier) and thereby provides a more acceptable method in comparison with others. The real molar coefficients of extinction of the chelates Ga and V with PAR and XO have been determined and a detailed calculation of the stoichiometric ratios of chelates has been made. The results have shown that the chelates formed have the following structure: Ga(PAR), Ga(XO), V(PAR)2, and V(XO).  相似文献

The tautomerism, spectral properties, and properties of intramolecular hydrogen bonds in 2-formylcyclopentane-1,3-dione (FCPD) have been investigated by the methods of nonempirical quantum chemistry (calculations by the ab initio and DFT methods) and IR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. It is shown that FCPD in a crystalline form, as also does malonic dialdehyde, exists as self-associated enolized molecules with an open chelate ring. It is found that in solutions in CCl4 the compound investigated exists as an equilibrium mixture of its exo- and endoenolic forms, with predominance of the former. The IR spectra of the solutions of FCPD in CCl4 fix the presence of small amounts of the associate formed from the anionic and protonated forms of the substance. For the first time, the energies of the intramolecular H bonds of the endo- and exoenolic tautomeric forms in FCPD have been estimated theoretically. They appeared to be equal to 3.69 and 4.91 kcal·mole–1, respectively. The possible mechanisms of enol-enolic interconversions of FCPD have been discussed.  相似文献

We consider a relativistic strongly interacting Bose gas. The interaction is manifested in the off-shellness of the equilibrium distribution. The equation of state that we obtain for such a gas has the properties of a realistic equation of state of strongly interacting matter, i.e., at low temperature it agrees with the one suggested by Shuryak for hadronic matter, while at high temperature it represents the equation of state of an ideal ultrarelativistic Stefan-Boltzmann gas, implying a phase transition to an effectively weakly interacting phase.  相似文献

The low-lying levels in 127La have been studied through the -decay of 127Ce ( T1/2 = 29s) produced by bombarding a natMo target with a 185-MeV 35Cl beam. Reaction products were on-line mass-separated, and -ray singles and - coincidence measurements were performed. Conversion electrons were also measured and multipolarities of transitions have been derived. The half-life of the 210.9-keV level was determined to be (1.9±0.3)ns by the - delayed coincidence technique. The level scheme obtained has been compared with calculations based on the Nilsson model.  相似文献

A brief summary is given of the results reported in [hep-th/0306013], in collaboration with G. Amelino-Camelia and F. D'Andrea. It is focused on the analysis of the symmetries of -Minkowski noncommutative spacetime, described in terms of a Weyl map. The commutative-spacetime notion of Lie-algebra symmetries must be replaced by the one of Hopf-algebra symmetries. However, in the Hopf-algebra sense, it is possible to construct an action in -Minkowski, which is invariant under a 10-generators Poincaré-like symmetry algebra.  相似文献

The tautomerism and spectral properties of 3-[3-(4-methoxycarbonylphenyl-acryloyl]tetrahydrofuran-2,4-dione (MCPATD) have been investigated by the methods of nonempirical and semiempirical quantum chemistry (nonempirical calculations by the Möller–Plesset theory of 2nd-order perturbations, calculations by the AM1 and PM3 semiempirical methods), as well as by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. It has been shown that the presence of an additional chain of conjugation in the side chain of MCPATD substantially changes its tautomeric composition and spectral properties as compared to 3-formyl- and 3-acetyltetrahydrofuran-2,4-diones. The frequencies and forms of normal vibrations calculated for each cis-enolic tautomer differ substantially within the region of vibrations of keto groups and double bonds, which makes it possible to identify the tautomers present in the mixture. It is found that in CHCl3 solutions MCPATD exists as an equilibrium mixture of its exoenolic forms. The possible mechanisms underlying the enol-enolic conversions of MCPATD are discussed.  相似文献

Neutrons and light charged particles produced in 62.9MeV proton-induced reactions on 208Pb were measured during a single experiment performed at the CYCLONE facility in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium). Two independent experimental set-ups were used to extract double differential cross-sections for neutrons, protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and alpha-particles. Charged particles were detected using a set of Si- Si- CsI telescopes from 25° to 155°, by step of 10 degrees. Neutrons were measured using shielded DeMoN counters, liquid NE213 scintillators, at 24°, 35°, 55°, 80° and 120°. These data allowed the determination of angle differential, energy differential and total production cross-sections. A comparison with theoretical calculations (MCNPX, FLUKA and TALYS) has been performed. It shows that the neutron and proton production rates are well predicted by MCNPX, using the INCL4 option. All the other codes underestimate the neutron production whereas they overestimate the proton one. For composite particles, which represent 17% of the charged particle total reaction cross-section, neither the shape nor the amplitude of the cross-sections are correctly predicted by the models.  相似文献

Einstein's equations with variable gravitational and cosmological constants are considered in the presence of bulk viscosity for the spatially flat homogeneous and isotropic universe in a way which conserves the energy momentum tensor. Based on a solution of the stationary modified Bloch equations, an investigation is made of the influence of the effect of internal optical bistability (IOB) on the behavior of the refractive index of a dense resonance medium as a function of the constant b of closerange dipoledipole interactions, frequency detuning, and the intensity of optical radiation. The conditions of existence of the IOB effect of the system dense resonance medium + optical radiation are found and the dynamics of the loop width of the hysteresis dependence of the population difference of the resonance levels of the medium on the characteristics of the system is traced. The domains of the parameters are determined in which the effects of selffocusing and selfdefocusing of the radiation propagating in a dense resonance medium can take place.  相似文献
