New synthesis of serricornin,the sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle (Lasioderma serricorne)

A new approach to the total synthesis of serricornin, the sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle, based on readily available (4S,5E)-4-methyhept-5-enenitrile was implemented.     

Determination of the absolute configuration at C-6 and C-7 of serricornin (4,6-dimethyl-7-hydroxy-3-nonanone), the sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle

The absolute configuration at C-6 and C-7 of serricornin was established as (6$\text{S}$, 7$\text{S}$) by synthesizing its (6$\text{R}$, 7$\text{S}$-$\text{erythro}$ and (6$\text{R}$, 7$\text{R}$-$\text{threo}$ isomers.     

A new synthesis of serricornin [(4s,6s,7s)-7-hydroxy-4,6-dimethyl-3-nonanone], the sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle

Serricornin, the sex pheromone of Lasioderma serricorne F, was synthesised in 7.6% overall yield starting from methyl (R)-3-hydroxypentanoate of microbial origin. Its (4R,6S,7S)-isomer was also synthesised.     

Synthesis and absolute stereochemistry of serricornin [(4S,6S,7S)-4,6-dimethyl-7-hydroxy-3-nonanone] : The sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle

The absolute stereochemistry o serricornin (4,6-dimethyl-7-hydroxy-3-nonanone) was established as 4S, 6S, 7S by synthesizing both (4S, 6S, 7S)-isomer and its antipode. Only the natural enantiomer was bioactive.     

Synthesis of a biologically active analog of the sex pheromone of cigarette beetle (<Emphasis Type="Italic">Lasioderma serricorne</Emphasis>)

A simple synthesis of a diastereomeric mixture of 7-hydroxy-4,6-dimethylnonan-3-ones was carried out. In the biological action, it is an analog of serricornin, the sex pheromone of the cigarette beetle (Lasioderma serricorne). Dedicated to Academician N. K. Absolute stereochemistry of serricornin,the sex pheromone of cigarette beetle,as determined by the synthesis of its (4S,6R,7R)-isomer

The absolute stereochemistry of serricornin was determined to be (4S,6S,7S) by the synthesis of its (4S,6R,7R)-isomer using a carbohydrate synthon.     

Asymmetric synthesis of a sex pheromone (3S,5R,6S)-3,5-dimethyl-6-isopropyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyran-2-one

An Oppolzer anti-aldol approach for the synthesis of the sex pheromone (3S,5R,6S)-3,5-dimethyl-6-isopropyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyran-2-one is reported.

研究了谷斑皮蠹性信息素的主要活性组份为14-甲基-8-十六碳烯醛, 报导了新合成路线, 其关键步骤是以2-溴丁烷的格氏试剂与1,4-二溴丁烷在Li2CuCl4存在下发生偶联反应, 制得的1-溴-5-甲基庚烷, 它与金属锂、CuI和CH≡CH反应而得高纯度顺式双键构型产物, 脱保护基再经PCC氢化即得目的物14-甲基-顺-8-十六碳烯醛.     

A stereoselective synthesis of “natural” (4S,6S,7S)-serricornin,the sex pheromone of cigarette bettle,from levoglucosenone

The natural stereoisomer of serricornin was synthesized stereoselectively from levoglucosenone. This firmly established the absolute stereochemistry of serricornin to be 4S,6S,7S. A short synthesis of (?)-δ-multistriatin was also reported.

A number of novel methyl-branched chirones were prepared starting from (–)-menthone and making use of a novel, efficient, and selective oxidant, decanepersulfonic acid (DPSA). A simple and cost effective synthesis of 3,11-dimethylnonacosan-2-one, a female sex pheromone of the German cockroach

A convenient synthesis of 3,11-dimethylnonacosan-2-one (1) is described. Our strategy involves the use of well known C-alkylation and ethyl acetoacetate synthesis reactions as key steps. We expect that this method will prove to be useful for large scale preparation of 1 and modification of dimethylnonacosanones.     

Synthesis of 7E,9Z-dodecadienyl acetate,the sex pheromone ofLobesia botrana Shiff

Two syntheses of 7E,9Z-dodecadienyl acetate from 1,3-butadiyne were carried out using either 2E,4Z-heptadienyl acetate or 1-bromo-3E,5Z-octadiene as the key intermediates. Chemical studies on the anobiidae: Sex pheromone of the drugstore beetle, stegobium paniceum (L.) (coleoptera)

Chemical an spectroscopic evidence is presented to show that 2,3-dihydro-2,3,5-trimethyl-6-(1-methyl-2-oxobutyl)-4H-pyran-4-one (10) is the sex pheromone produced by the female drugstore beetle, Stegobium paniceum L.

2,3-Dihydro-2,3,5-trimethyl-6-(1-methyl-2-oxobutyl)-4H-pyran-4-one ($\text{1}$ (Stegobinone), the sex pheromone of the drugstore beetle, was successfully prepared from 4,6-dimethyl-3,5,7-nonatrione ($\text{2}$) by a biogenetically plausible scheme.
