In this paper, an exact solution to the governing equations of the bending of a variable-thickness inhomogeneous rectangular plate is presented. The procedure is applicable to variable-thickness inhomogeneous rectangular plates with two opposite edges simply supported. The remaining ones subjected to a combination of clamped, simply supported, and free boundary conditions and between these two edges the plate may have varying thickness. The procedure is valuable in view of the fact that tables of deflections and stresses cannot be presented for variable-thickness inhomogeneous orthotropic plates as for uniform-thickness homogeneous isotropic plates even for commonly encountered loads because the results depend on the inhomogeneity coefficient and the orthotropic material properties instead of a single flexural rigidity. Numerical results, useful for the validation or otherwise of approximate solutions, are tabulated. The influences of the degree of the inhomogeneity, aspect ratio, thickness parameter and degree of non-uniformity on the deflections and stresses are investigated. 基于一阶剪切变形板理论,推导了功能梯度材料圆形板在边界面内均布压力作用下的轴对称屈曲方程。在推导过程中,忽略了前屈曲耦合变形。利用一阶板理论与经典板理论屈曲方程之间在数学形式上的相似性,得到了一阶板理论下功能梯度材料圆板与经典板理论下均匀圆板临界屈曲载荷之间的解析关系。利用这个解析关系,可以直接从已有的较为简单的经典理论的结果,获得一阶板理论下功能梯度材料板的临界屈曲载荷。  相似文献

In this paper, the method of composite expansion in perturbation theory is used for the solution of large deflection problem of thin circular plate. In this method. the outer field solution and the inner boundary layer solution are combined together to satisfy all the boundary conditions. In this paper, Hencky’s membrane solution is used for the first approximation in outer field solution, and then the second approximate solution is obtained. The inner boundary layer solution is found on the bases of boundary layer coondinate. In this paper, the reciprocal ratio of maximum deflection and thickness of the plate is used as the small parameter. The results of this paper improves quite a bit in comparison with the results obtained in 1948 by Chien Wei-zang.  相似文献

The large deflection of a clamped circular plate on elastic foundation under nonuniform but symmetrical loads has been investigated following Berger's approximate method. The deflections are obtained in the form of an infinite series involving Bessel functions. Graphs are plotted for deflections, bending moments, and bending stresses for various values of foundation modulus and load functions.  相似文献

We are concerned with the deformation of thin, flat annular plates under a force applied orthogonally to the plane of the plate. This mechanical process can be described via a radial formulation of the Föppl – von Kármán equations, a set of nonlinear partial differential equations describing the deflections of thin flat plates. We are able to obtain analytical solutions for the radial Föppl – von Kármán equations with boundary conditions relevant for clamped, loosely clamped, and free inner and outer. This permits us to study the qualitative behavior of the out-of-plane deflections as well as the Airy stress function for a number of cases. Provided that an appropriate non-dimensionalization is taken, we find that the perturbation solutions are surprisingly valid for a wide variety of parameters, and compare favorably with numerical simulations in all cases (rather than just for small parameters). The results demonstrate that the ratio of the inner to outer radius of the annular plate will strongly influence the properties of the solutions, as will the specific boundary data considered. For instance, one may choose to fix the plate in place with a specific set of boundary conditions, in order to minimize the out-of-plane deflections. Other boundary conditions may result in undesirable behaviors.  相似文献

Summary The control of dynamic deformation of a laminate plate is conducted by applying electrical load to a piezoelectric actuator integrated into the laminate. The dynamic behavior of the laminate is analyzed in the paper taking into account the effect of transverse shear. The analytical model of the laminate is composed of fiber-reinforced laminae and piezoelectric layers constituting a symmetric cross-ply laminate rectangular plate with simply-supported egdes. It is subjected to mechanical and electrical loads acting on the piezoelectric actuator in order to compensate the effect of the mechanical loads. The behavior of the laminate is analyzed based on the first-order shear deformation theory. Closed-form solutions are obtained for the following quantities: (1) natural frequencies of the laminate plate, (2) weight functions for the deflections and rotations and (3) transient deflections due to loads varying arbitrarily with time. Illustrative examples are shown for the control of deflections caused by the mechanical loads by means of electrical voltage applied to the piezoelectric actuators.  相似文献

The generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) method was used to determine the inter-laminar stresses and deflections in a laminated rectangular anisotropy plate under thermal bending involving the effect of shear deformation. We obtained the non-dimensional stresses and transverse center deflection in cross-ply and angle-ply anti-symmetric, anisotropic laminates subjected to thermal load with sinusoidal temperature distribution. We found that the shear deformation has significant effects on the stresses and deflections for laminated anisotropic plate with moderately side-to-thickness ratio under thermal load and bending state.  相似文献

A study is presented for the large deflection dynamic response of rigid-plastic circular plate resting on potential fluid under a rectangular pressure pulse load.By virtue of Hankel integral transform technique,this interaction problem is reduced toa problem of dynamic plastic response of the plate in vacuum.The closed-formsolutions are derived for both middle and high pressure loads by solving the equationsof motion with the large deflection in the range where both bending moments andmembrane forces are important.Some numerical results are given.  相似文献

Dynamical bending of circular rigid-plastic annular plates, fixed along the exterior boundary and free on the interior boundary, when subjected to instantaneously applied transverse uniformly distributed blast-type load[1], is investigated in this paper.It is shown that annular plates are preferable to plates without holes, since their load capacity increases while residual deflections decrease. A so-called boundary parameter is introduced to estimate the effect of boundary conditions on the radial bending moment.A procedure for determining the residual deflections at every point of a plate is developed for use on an electronic computer. Numerical examples are given. In the end of the paper, the particularities of solution of our problem for annular plates, corresponding to the setting of Wang[2], Wang and Hopkins[3] for plates without holes are discussed.  相似文献

An analytical solution is presented for three-dimensional thermomechanical deformations of a simply supported functionally graded (FG) rectangular plate subjected to time-dependent thermal loads on its top and/or bottom surfaces. Material properties are taken to be analytical functions of the thickness coordinate. The uncoupled quasi-static linear thermoelasticity theory is adopted in which the change in temperature, if any, due to deformations is neglected. A temperature function that identically satisfies thermal boundary conditions at the edges and the Laplace transformation technique are used to reduce equations governing the transient heat conduction to an ordinary differential equation (ODE) in the thickness coordinate which is solved by the power series method. Next, the elasticity problem for the simply supported plate for each instantaneous temperature distribution is analyzed by using displacement functions that identically satisfy boundary conditions at the edges. The resulting coupled ODEs with variable coefficients are also solved by the power series method. The analytical solution is applicable to a plate of arbitrary thickness. Results are given for two-constituent metal-ceramic FG rectangular plates with a power-law through-the-thickness variation of the volume fraction of the constituents. The effective elastic moduli at a point are determined by either the Mori–Tanaka or the self-consistent scheme. The transient temperature, displacements, and thermal stresses at several critical locations are presented for plates subjected to either time-dependent temperature or heat flux prescribed on the top surface. Results are also given for various volume fractions of the two constituents, volume fraction profiles and the two homogenization schemes.  相似文献

Approximation of large, non-linear deflections of rectangular plates by a Fourier cosine series and evaluation of the resulting energy expressions leads to highly accurate results for maximum plate deflection. Consideration of non-linear terms which arise in the expression for membrane energy leads to a stiffer plate behavior resulting in considerably smaller deflections than can be accounted for by the classical small-deflection theory and by some modern approaches to largedeflection analysis. Results compare favorably to infinite element analysis results. Various boundary conditions are considered.  相似文献

In recent years, a series of papers have appeared on algebraic relationships between the solutions (e.g., deflections, buckling loads and frequencies) of a given higher-order plate theory and the classical plate theory. The bending relationships, for example, can be used to generate the transverse deflection of a plate according to the particular higher-order theory from the known deflection of the same problem according to the classical plate theory. In the present study relationships between the bending solutions of several higher-order plate theories and the classical plate theory are obtained in a canonical form (i.e., one set of relationships contain several theories and they can be specialized to a specific theory by assigning values to the constants appearing in the relationships). Numerical examples of bending solutions for rectangular plates with various boundary conditions are presented to show how the relations can be used to determine the deflections and bending moments for various theories. The relationships are validated by comparing the numerical results obtained using the relationships for the Mindlin plate theory against those computed using the ABAQUS finite element program.  相似文献

在理论上和实验上对环形薄板二维驻波波节图形(克拉尼图形) 进行了研究. 通过在极坐标下对垂直板面方向小振动方程进行分离变量, 求解出环形薄板小振动方程在外边界悬空时分别在两种内边界条件, 即内边界悬空和内边界简支下的解析解的简正模式, 并计算了在第一种边条件下几种共振模式的径向波速近似值, 以及两种边条件下的圆形驻波波节线的半径和薄板的弹性模量. 发现通过调节环形薄板上点振动源的频率, 可精确控制薄板上出现的克拉尼图形. 实验上观察到了仅有圆形波节线, 仅有辐射状波节线, 以及两种波节线同时存在3 种简正模式的情形, 且波节线的数量可严格控制. 理论结果跟实验符合得很好.   相似文献

The non-linear deformation of a thin annular plate subjected to circumferentially distributed bending moments is studied. A von Kármán plate model is adopted to formulate the equations of motion. Free–free boundary conditions have been applied at both inner and outer edges. The matrix formulation of the Differential Quadrature Method is used to discretise and solve the governing equations. Linear analysis predicts that the annular disk deforms axisymmetrically into a spherical dome. However, the proposed non-linear analysis shows that a symmetry breaking bifurcation may occur after which the linear solution becomes unstable and the plate transitions into a non-axisymmetric cylindrical deformation. This is the case when at least one of two parameters reaches a critical value. These parameters are the non-dimensionalised ratio between applied moment and bending stiffness and the ratio between inner and outer radius. Furthermore, it is noted that free-free boundary conditions and circumferentially distributed bending moments do not break the circular symmetry of the annular disk. Hence, the principal axes of curvature in the deformed configuration do not have a preferred orientation. Therefore, the present work describes a shell possessing infinite identical equilibria, having different yet no favoured direction and, hence, links to previous researches on neutrally stable structures.  相似文献

基于Reissner-Mindlin一阶剪切变形板理论,讨论在预加面内机械荷载或温度场作用下,点支撑中厚矩形板的弯曲问题。温度场假定沿板表面为均布,沿板厚方向为线性分布的。利用考虑剪切变形影响的Timoshenko梁函数,采用Rayleigh-Ritz法给出不同边界条件下点支撑中厚板在横向荷载作用下的挠度和弯矩分布。结果表明,均匀温度场与预加面内压力将使板的挠度和弯矩增加。支撑点位置的变化、边界约束条件和横向剪切变形效应都对板的内力大小和分布有显著影响。  相似文献
