A three-dimensional flow of dissociating air past blunt bodies is investigated in the framework of the thin viscous shock layer theory. Multicomponent diffusion and homogeneous chemical reactions, including dissociation, recombination, and exchange reactions, are taken into account. The generalized Rankine-Kugoniot conditions are specified on the shock wave and the conditions which take into account the heterogeneous catalytic reactions, on the surface of the body. The viscous shock layer equations are solved together with the heat equations inside the coating, which is carbon with a deposited thin film of SiO2, or quartz. The case of a thermally insulated surface is also considered. The problem for the case of the motion of a body along the re-entry trajectory into Earth's atmosphere is investigated numerically. The temperature of the surface and the heat flux toward it are given as a dependence on the height (tine) of the flight for different cases of the specification of the catalytic reactions. It is shown that the difference between the heat fluxes towards the thermally insulated surface and the fluxes toward the heat-conducting surface in the neighborhood of the stagnation point is of the order of 6–12% for all the cases considered. This makes it possible to decouple the solution of the problem of heat conduction in the body.Translated fron Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 140–146, November–December, 1985.deceased 相似文献

It is shown that the concept of a viscous shock layer with boundary conditions specified in a thin shock wave is unsuitable for analyzing the flow of a chemically reacting gas, even in the case of high Reynolds numbers; it may produce a finite error when determining the parameters of the shock layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 175–178, September–October, 1973. 相似文献

Turbulent flows past blunt bodies at high supersonic speeds are mainly investigated within the framework of the boundary layer model. However, even at large Reynolds numbers owing to the strong entropy gradient on the lateral surface it becomes necessary to take boundary layer corrections into account in the higher approximations [1]. The use of viscous shock layer theory makes it possible to obtain fairly accurate results over a broad interval of variation of the Reynolds numbers without organizing iterations with respect to vorticity and displacement thickness. The nonequilibrium nature of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions is taken into account. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data [2, 3]. Previously, in [4, 5] turbulent flow was investigated within the framework of viscous shock layer theory in the case of equilibrium homogeneous reactions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 144–149, March–April, 1989. 相似文献

A new, simple and physically adequate method of calculating vibrationally nonequilibrium dissociation constants is proposed on the basis of a dissociation model which takes into account the equilibrium excitation of the rotational degrees of freedom of the molecules and the nonequilibrium excitation of vibrational quantum states. This rotation-vibration-dissociation interaction model contains only the indeterminacy associated with the indeterminacy of the experimental data on the interaction potentials and the collision cross sections of the components. In the case of thermodynamic equilibrium the model gives values of the dissociation constants close to those generally accepted. The use of this model in multicomponent nonequilibrium total viscous shock layer calculations gives values for the shock detachment distance within 5% of the experimental values. The indeterminacy in the values of the vibrational energy lost by air molecules during dissociation and recovered during recombination does not lead to serious errors in the macrocharacteristics of the flow. The nonequilibrium excitation of vibrational degrees of freedom proves to be not so important in computing the macrocharacteristics of the flow as previously assumed and the existing algorithms for calculating chemically nonequilibrium flows on the assumption of thermodynamic equilibrium can be used with satisfactory accuracy for calculating the values of the heat flux, the position of the shock wave, and the temperature and pressure in the shock layer for partially dissociated and ionized air.Moscow. We consider the problem of a hypersonic viscous flow of a nonreactive mixture of ideal gases around smooth thick bodies in the framework of a two-layer model of a thin shock layer for moderately small Reynolds numbers. We investigate the effect of blowing of a foreign gas through a permeable surface in the bow region of a spherical blunt body. We introduce a transformation of variables that gives a number of important advantages in the numerical solution of the problem under consideration. The problem of mass blowing from the surface of a body into a boundary layer has an extensive literature. The effect of blowing for moderately small Reynolds numbers has been considerably less studied [1–5], and in the majority of papers on this question either the critical point of a blunt body or the blowing of a gas homogeneous with the gas in the incoming flow is investigated.Moscow. In the framework of the theory of a hypersonic viscous shock layer [1] with modified Rankine-Hugoniot relations [2] at the shock wave a study is made of flow past wings of infinite span with a rounded leading edge. A numerical solution to the problem has been obtained in a wide range of variation of the Reynolds number (5–106), the blowing-suction parameter, the angle of attack (0–45 °), and the angle of slip (0–70 °). Data are given on the influence of the angle of slip on the profiles of the temperature and the velocity across the shock layer. A study is made of the dependence of the distributions of the pressure, the heat flux, and the friction coefficients along the surface of the body on the blowing-suction parameter and the angles of attack and slip.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 104–108, March–April, 1984. 相似文献

On the basis of an asymptotic expansion of the solution of the equations of a multicomponent chemically nonequilibrium boundary layer for large Schmidt numbers, formulas are obtained for the heat flux and the diffusion fluxes of the reaction products and chemical elements on a surface with arbitrary catalytic activity. The results are compared with well-known analytic and numerical solutions. The comparison reveals the high accuracy of the formulas proposed. The results of calculating the diffusional separation of the mixture due to the selectivity of the catalytic properties of the surface with respect to recombination of oxygen and nitrogen atoms are presented. Values of the reduction of the convective heat fluxes due to the catalytic properties of the surface are obtained over a wide range of conditions in the free stream.Moscow. Receptivity of a viscous shock layer on a flat plate aligned at an angle of attack to external multiwave acoustic perturbations is studied. It is shown that external acoustic waves and periodic controlled perturbations introduced from the surface of the plate mounted at an angle of attack smaller than 20° generate entropy-vortex disturbances with a similar spatial distribution in the viscous shock layer. This result allows numerical implementation of the interference method of controlling disturbances generated in the viscous shock layer on the plate by external acoustic waves at one frequency and at a spectrum of frequencies by introducing blowing-suction perturbations on the plate surface with appropriate amplitudes and phases. 相似文献

A study is made of a chemically nonequilibrium flow in local regions near cold walls. It is found that in this case the chemically reactions can take place only on a catalytic surface, and the gas can be regarded as a binary mixture of atoms and molecules. As an example, a study is made of the aerodynamic heating of a small step on the surface of a plate in the case when the flow past the plate is described in the first approximation when the Reynolds number tends to infinity by the Navier-Stokes equations for an incompressible gas. It is found that the presence of the step increases the drag of this section of the body, for a noncatalytic surface leads to an additional heating of it, and for a catalytic surface weakens its catalytic activity and, therefore, reduces the heating of the step.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 137–144, May–June, 1984.I thank V. The variational problem of the shape of a low-aspect-ratio wing with maximum lift-to-drag ratio in a viscous hypersonic stream is formulated with allowance for the flow structure in the thin compressed layer and the state of the boundary layer, and a numerical-analytic solution of the problem is given. The characteristic shapes of optimum wings are obtained together with the corresponding pressure distributions. The bifurcation of the optimum regime with variation of the wing span is found to exist. It is shown that viscosity, when included in the optimization procedure, can result in a change in the optimized wing shape and reduce the maximum lift-to-drag ratio; however, the gain in lift-to-drag ratio, as compared with the limiting Newtonian value, is still quite appreciable.Moscow. The three-dimensional supersonic flow of nonequilibrium dissociating air past smooth blunt bodies on whose surface heterogeneous chemical reactions are taking place is investigated within the framework of thin viscous shock layer theory. An economical numerical method of solving the equations with an improved order of approximation with respect to the normal coordinate is employed. This method does not require the preliminary solution of the Stefan-Maxwell relations for the diffusion fluxes and makes it possible to calculate flows that do not possess a plane of symmetry. The effect of the angles of attack and yaw, the catalytic reaction model and a number of other parameters of the problem on the pressure, heat flux and equilibrium surface temperature distributions is analyzed with reference to the example of flow past a triaxial ellipsoid.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 143–150, January–February, 1990.Tha authors are grateful to G. The majority of the studies which consider the flow of a dissociating gas in a turbulent boundary layer are devoted to the investigation of either frozen or equilibrium flows on a flat plate. The frozen turbulent boundary layer has been studied by Dorrance [1], Kutateladze and Leont'ev [2], and Lapin and Sergeev [3]. A study of the effect of catalytic recombination processes at the plate surface on the heat transfer in a frozen turbulent boundary layer was made by Lapin [4].Kosterin and Koshmarov [5], Ginzburg [6], Dorrance [7], and Lapin [8] have studied the turbulent boundary layer on a plate in equilibrium dissociating gas.The calculation of the heat transfer in a turbulent boundary layer on a catalytic plate surface with nonequilibrium dissociation was made by Kulgein [9]. In this study the nonequilibrium nature of the dissociation process was taken into account only in the laminar sublayer, while the flow in the turbulent core was considered frozen. The solution was found numerically using a computer by means of a laborious iteration process. The present paper reports a method for calculating the turbulent boundary layer on a flat catalytic plate with arbitrary dissociation rate. The method, constructed using the assumptions customary for turbulent boundary layer theory, is a successive approximation method. Good convergence of the method is assured by the fact that the effect of the nonequilibrium nature of the dissociation process on the parameter distribution in the boundary layer and, consequently, on the friction and heat transfer may be allowed for merely by finding corrections, usually relatively small, to the distribution of these parameters in the equilibrium or frozen flows. The basis of the study is the two-layer scheme of the turbulent boundary layer. The Prandtl and Schmidt numbers and also their turbulent analogs are taken equal to unity. As the model of the dissociating gas we use the Lighthill model of the ideal dissociating gas [10], extended by Freeman [11] to nonequilibrium flows. 相似文献

Unseparated viscous gas flow past a body is numerically investigated within the framework of the theory of a thin viscous shock layer [13–15]. The equations of the hypersonic viscous shock layer with generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions at the shock wave are solved by a finite-difference method [16] over a broad interval of Reynolds numbers and values of the temperature factor and nonuniformity parameters. Calculation results characterizing the effect of free-stream nonuniformity on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, the friction and heat transfer coefficients and the shock wave standoff distance are presented. The unseparated flow conditions are investigated and the critical values of the nonuniformity parameter ak [10] at which reverse-circulatory zones develop on the front of the body are obtained as a function of the Reynolds number. The calculations are compared with the asymptotic solutions [10, 12].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 154–159, May–June, 1987. 相似文献

The hypersonic flow of a laminar stream of viscous compressible gas past blunt axisyrametric bodies rotating about the longitudinal axis is considered. It is assumed that gas blows from the surface of the body. The solution of the problem is obtained by a finite-difference method in a wide range of Reynolds numbers and blowing and rotation parameters. Some results of the calculations characterizing the effect of the rotation on the velocity and temperature profiles across the shock layer, on the friction and heat transfer coefficients, and the shock wave separation are given for the neighborhood of the stagnation point. For large Reynolds numbers and strong blowing an analytic solution of the problem is found in an approximation of two inviscid layers separated by a contact surface. The calculations are made for the flow past a sphere and a paraboloid and it is shown that in the presence of rotation the maximum of the heat flux is shifted from the stagnation point onto the side surface of the body. The dependence of the pressure distribution, the heat flux, and the friction coefficient is investigated for cases of constant and variable blowing over the contour of the body.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 106–114, January–February, 1986. 相似文献

A hypersonic swirling flow of viscous compressible gas past rotating axisymmetric blunt bodies is considered, its velocity
vector being parallel to the axis of rotation of the body. The body surface is assumed permeable, while, in the general case,
the gas is not injected (drawn off) along the normal to the body surface. An analytic solution of the problem, valid at small
Reynolds numbers, is found in the first approximation of the integral method of successive approximations. On the basis of
the results of the numerical solution, obtained in a wide range of variation of the determining parameters of the problem,
we investigate the influence of the swirling of the free-stream flow, the angular velocity of rotation of the body, the Reynolds
number and the injection (suction) parameter on the structure of the compressed layer, and the coefficients of friction and
heat transfer on the body surface. The influence of the swirling of the flow on the nature of the asymptotic behavior of the
viscous shock layer equations at large Reynolds numbers is studied. It is shown that the presence of a nonzero peripheral
component for the velocity vector of the gas in the shock layer can lead to a qualitative change in the nature of the flow.

A study is made of the flow of a viscous compressible gas in a hypersonic shock layer on sweptback wings of infinite span with blunt leading edge at different angles of attack. The equations of the hypersonic viscous shock layer with modified Rankine-Hugoniot relations across the shock wave and boundary conditions on the surface of the body that take into account slip and discontinuity of the temperature are solved by a method of successive approximation which yields not only an analytic solution for the first approximations but also an exact numerical solution when the method is implemented on a computer. The analytic solution of the problem is found in the first approximation. Expressions are obtained for the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the surface of the body, and also for the profiles of the velocities and the temperature across the shock layer. Comparison of the analytic solution with the numerical solution reveals a satisfactory accuracy of the analytic solution for not too large Reynolds numbers.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 91–102, March–April, 1979.We thank G. Nonlinear disturbance development in a hypersonic flat-plate shock layer (M∞ = 21, Re
L
= 1.44×105) exposed to external-flow slow-mode acoustic perturbations at one or several frequencies is studied on the basis of the numerical
solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. The mean flow distortion by disturbances and the nonlinear self-interaction between
spectral modes is investigated by varying the initial amplitudes of the acoustic waves introduced. The appearance of combination
frequencies, both summarized and subtracted, and their interaction with each other is shown to exist. 相似文献
