Let B(H) be the C*-algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H. It is proved that an additive surjective map φ on B(H) preserving the star partial order in both directions if and only if one of the following assertions holds.(1) There exist a nonzero complex number α and two unitary operators U and V on H such that φ(X) = αUXV or φ(X) = αUX*V for all X ∈ B(H).(2)There exist a nonzero α and two anti-unitary operators U and V on H such thatφ(X) = αUXV or φ(X) = αUX*V for all X ∈ B(H).  相似文献

Let φ be an analytic self-map of the complex unit disk and X a Banach space. This paper studies the action of composition operator Cφ: f→foφ on the vector-valued Nevanlinna classes N(X) and Na(X). Certain criteria for such operators to be weakly compact are given. As a consequence, this paper shows that the composition operator Cφ is weakly compact on N(X) and Na(X) if and only if it is weakly compact on the vector-valued Hardy space H^1 (X) and Bergman space B1(X) respectively.  相似文献

Abstract: We consider an approximation problem related to strongly irreducible operators, that is, does the direct sum of a strongly irreducible operator in B∞(Ω) and certain operator have a small compact perturbation which is a strongly irreducible operator in B∞(Ω)? In this paper, we prove that the direct sum of any strongly irreducible operator in B∞(Ω) and certain biquasitriangular operator have small compact perturbations which are strongly irreducible operators in B∞(Ω).  相似文献

Let B(X) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on an infinite-dimensional complex or real Banach space X. Given an integer n ≥ 1, we show that an additive surjective map Φ on B(X)preserves Drazin invertible operators of index non-greater than n in both directions if and only if Φ is either of the form Φ(T) = αATA~(-1) or of the form Φ(T) = αBT~*B~(-1) where α is a non-zero scalar,A:X → X and B:X~*→ X are two bounded invertible linear or conjugate linear operators.  相似文献

In the present paper, a problem of Ioana Mihaila is negatively answered on the invertibility of composition operators on Riemann surfaces, and it is proved that the composition operator Cp is Predholm if and only if it is invertible if and only if p is invertible for some special cases. In addition, the Toeplitz operators on ∧1 2, a(M) for Riemann surface M are defined and some properties of these operators are discussed.  相似文献

We show that two irreducible operators on Н are unitarily equivalent if and only if W^*(AФB)‘≌M2(C), and give an answer to the open question posed by J. B. Conway (Subnormal Operators, 7r Pitman, Advanced Publishing Program,Boston, London, Melbourne, 1981) for irreducible operator. We also show that if T, T1 and T2 are irreducible operators with TФT1≌TФT2, then T1≌T2. Finally, we show that K0(A(D))≌Z, giving a new result on the Ko-group of Banach algebras.  相似文献

We introduce two new linear differential operators which are invariant with respect to the unitary group SU(n). They constitute analogues of the twistor and the Rarita-Schwinger operator in the orthogonal case. The natural setting for doing this is Hermitian Clifford Analysis. Such operators are constructed by twisting the two versions of the Hermitian Dirac operator 6z_ and 6z_ and then projecting on irreducible modules for the unitary group. We then study some properties of their spaces of nullsolutions and we find a formulation of the Hermitian Rarita-Schwinger operators in terms of Hermitian monogenic polynomials.  相似文献

A unilateral weighted shift A is said to be simple if its weight sequence {α_n} satisfies ▽~3(α_n~2)≠0for all n≥2.We prove that if A and B are two simple unilateral weighted shifts, then AI+IB is reducible if and only if A and B are unitarily equivalent. We also study the reducing subspaces of A~kI+IB~l and give some examples. As an application,we study the reducing subspaces of multiplication operators Mzk+αωl on function spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we first prove that a dual Hankel operator R φ on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space is compact for φ∈ W 1,∞(D),and then that a semicommutator of two Toeplitz operators on the Dirichlet space or two dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space in Sobolev space is compact. We also prove that a dual Hankel operator R φ with φ∈ W 1,∞(D) is of finite rank if and only if B φ is orthogonal to the Dirichlet space for some finite Blaschke product B,and give ...  相似文献

For a Young function θ with 0 ≤α 〈 1, let Mα,θ be the fractional Orlicz maximal operator defined in the context of the spaces of homogeneous type (X, d, μ) by Mα,θf(x) = supx∈(B)α ||f||θ,B, where ||f||θ,B is the mean Luxemburg norm of f on a ball B. When α= 0 we simply denote it by Me. In this paper we prove that if Ф and ψare two Young functions, there exists a third Young function θ such that the composition Mα,ψ o MФ is pointwise equivalent to Mα,θ. As a consequence we prove that for some Young functions θ, if Mα,θf 〈∞a.e. and δ ∈(0,1) then (Mα,θf)δ is an A1-weight.  相似文献

Let A be a densely defined simple symmetric operator in ${\mathfrak{H}}$ , let ${\Pi=\{\mathcal{H},\Gamma_0, \Gamma_1}\}$ be a boundary triplet for A * and let M(·) be the corresponding Weyl function. It is known that the Weyl function M(·) determines the boundary triplet Π, in particular, the pair {A, A 0}, uniquely up to the unitary similarity. Here ${A_0 := A^* \upharpoonright \text{ker}\, \Gamma_0 ( = A^*_0)}$ . At the same time the Weyl function corresponding to a boundary triplet for a dual pair of operators defines it uniquely only up to the weak similarity. We consider a symmetric dual pair {A, A} with symmetric ${A \subset A^*}$ and a special boundary triplet ${\widetilde{\Pi}}$ for{A, A} such that the corresponding Weyl function is ${\widetilde{M}(z) = K^*(B-M(z))^{-1} K}$ , where B is a non-self-adjoint bounded operator in ${\mathcal{H}}$ . We are interested in the problem whether the result on the unitary similarity remains valid for ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ in place of M(·). We indicate some sufficient conditions in terms of the operators A 0 and ${A_B= A^* \upharpoonright \text{ker}\, (\Gamma_1-B \Gamma_0)}$ , which guaranty an affirmative answer to this problem. Applying the abstract results to the minimal symmetric 2nth order ordinary differential operator A in ${L^2(\mathbb{R}_+)}$ , we show that ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ defined in ${\Omega_+ \subset \mathbb{C}_+}$ determines the Dirichlet and Neumann realizations uniquely up to the unitary equivalence. At the same time similar result for realizations of Dirac operator fails. We obtain also some negative abstract results demonstrating that in general the Weyl function ${\widetilde{M}(\cdot)}$ does not determine A B even up to the similarity.  相似文献

Let Ω be a connected open subset of R d . We analyse L 1-uniqueness of real second-order partial differential operators ${H = - \sum^d_{k,l=1} \partial_k c_{kl} \partial_l}$ and ${K = H + \sum^d_{k=1}c_k \partial_k + c_0}$ on Ω where ${c_{kl} = c_{lk} \in W^{1,\infty}_{\rm loc}(\Omega), c_k \in L_{\infty,{\rm loc}}(\Omega), c_0 \in L_{2,{\rm loc}}(\Omega)}$ and C(x) = (c kl (x)) > 0 for all ${x \in \Omega}$ . Boundedness properties of the coefficients are expressed indirectly in terms of the balls B(r) associated with the Riemannian metric C ?1 and their Lebesgue measure |B(r)|. First, we establish that if the balls B(r) are bounded, the Täcklind condition ${\int^\infty_R dr r({\rm log}|B(r)|)^{-1} = \infty}$ is satisfied for all large R and H is Markov unique then H is L 1-unique. If, in addition, ${C(x) \geq \kappa (c^{T} \otimes c)(x)}$ for some ${\kappa > 0}$ and almost all ${x \in \Omega}$ , ${{\rm div} c \in L_{\infty,{\rm loc}}(\Omega)}$ is upper semi-bounded and c 0 is lower semi-bounded, then K is also L 1-unique. Secondly, if the c kl extend continuously to functions which are locally bounded on ?Ω and if the balls B(r) are bounded, we characterize Markov uniqueness of H in terms of local capacity estimates and boundary capacity estimates. For example, H is Markov unique if and only if for each bounded subset A of ${\overline\Omega}$ there exist ${\eta_n \in C_c^\infty(\Omega)}$ satisfying , where ${\Gamma(\eta_n) = \sum^d_{k,l=1}c_{kl} (\partial_k \eta_n) (\partial_l \eta_n)}$ , and for each ${\varphi \in L_2(\Omega)}$ or if and only if cap(?Ω) = 0.  相似文献

Let (Ω, Σ, μ) be a finite atomless measure space, and let E be an ideal of L 0(μ) such that ${L^\infty(\mu) \subset E \subset L^1(\mu)}$ . We study absolutely continuous linear operators from E to a locally convex Hausdorff space ${(X, \xi)}$ . Moreover, we examine the relationships between μ-absolutely continuous vector measures m : Σ → X and the corresponding integration operators T m : L (μ) → X. In particular, we characterize relatively compact sets ${\mathcal{M}}$ in ca μ (Σ, X) (= the space of all μ-absolutely continuous measures m : Σ → X) for the topology ${\mathcal{T}_s}$ of simple convergence in terms of the topological properties of the corresponding set ${\{T_m : m \in \mathcal{M}\}}$ of absolutely continuous operators. We derive a generalized Vitali–Hahn–Saks type theorem for absolutely continuous operators T : L (μ) → X.  相似文献

Let Ω be a circular domain, that is, an open disk with finitely many closed disjoint disks removed. Denote by H (Ω) the Banach algebra of all bounded holomorphic functions on Ω, with pointwise operations and the supremum norm. We show that the topological stable rank of H (Ω) is equal to 2. The proof is based on Suárez’s theorem that the topological stable rank of H ( $ \mathbb{D} $ ) is equal to 2, where $ \mathbb{D} $ is the unit disk. We also show that for circular domains symmetric to the real axis, the Bass and topological stable ranks of the real-symmetric algebra H ? (Ω) are 2.  相似文献

Let (T t ) t?≥ 0 be a bounded analytic semigroup on L p (Ω), with 1?<?p?<?∞. Let ?A denote its infinitesimal generator. It is known that if A and A * both satisfy square function estimates ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{\frac{1}{2}} T_t(x)\vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^p} \lesssim \|x\|_{L^p}}$ and ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{*\frac{1}{2}} T_t^*(y) \vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^{p^\prime}} \lesssim \|y\|_{L^{p^\prime}}}$ for ${x\in L^p(\Omega)}$ and ${y\in L^{p^\prime}(\Omega)}$ , then A admits a bounded ${H^{\infty}(\Sigma_\theta)}$ functional calculus for any ${\theta>\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . We show that this actually holds true for some ${\theta<\frac{\pi}{2}}$ .  相似文献

We prove two stability-type estimates involving the Schwarz rearrangement of the normalized first eigenfunction u 1?>?0 of certain linear elliptic operators whose first eigenvalue λ1 is close to the lowest possible one (i.e., ${\lambda_1^\star}$ , the first eigenvalue of the Dirichlet Laplacian in a suitable ball). In particular, we prove that if ${\lambda_1\approx \lambda_1^\star}$ then the L -distance between the rearrangement ${u_1^\star}$ and the normalized first eigenfunction of the Dirichlet Laplacian corresponding to ${\lambda_1^\star}$ is less than a suitable power of the difference ${\lambda_1-\lambda_1^\star}$ times a universal constant. We also show that the L -distance between the first eigenfunction of the Dirichlet Laplacian in a ball whose first eigenvalue equals λ1 and the rearrangement ${u_1^\star}$ can be controlled with a power of the value assumed by ${u_1^\star}$ on the boundary of that ball.  相似文献

Given a Lipschitz domain Ω in ${{\mathbb R}^N}$ and a nonnegative potential V in Ω such that V(xd(x, ?Ω)2 is bounded we study the fine regularity of boundary points with respect to the Schrödinger operator L V := Δ ? V in Ω. Using potential theoretic methods, several conditions are shown to be equivalent to the fine regularity of ${z \in \partial \Omega}$ . The main result is a simple (explicit if Ω is smooth) necessary and sufficient condition involving the size of V for ${z \in \partial \Omega}$ to be finely regular. An intermediate result consists in a majorization of ${\int_A \vert{\frac{ u} {d(.,\partial \Omega)}}\vert^2\, dx}$ for u positive harmonic in Ω and ${A \subset \Omega}$ . Conditions for almost everywhere regularity in a subset A of ?Ω are also given as well as an extension of the main results to a notion of fine ${\mathcal{ L}_1 \vert \mathcal{L}_0}$ -regularity, if ${\mathcal{L}_j = \mathcal{L} - V_j, V_0,\, V_1}$ being two potentials, with V 0 ≤ V 1 and ${\mathcal{L}}$ a second order elliptic operator.  相似文献

Let T be a bounded linear operator on an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space. In this paper, we introduce the new class, denoted ${{\mathcal{QP}}}$ , of operators satisfying ${{\|T^{2}x\|^{2}\leq \|T^{3}x\|\|Tx\|}}$ for all ${{x \in \mathcal{H}}}$ . This class includes the classes of paranormal operators and quasi-class A operators. We prove basic structural properties of these operators. Using these results, we also prove that if E is the Riesz idempotent for a nonzero isolated point λ0 of the spectrum of ${{T \in \mathcal{QP}}}$ , then E is self-adjoint if and only if ${{N(T-\lambda_{0}) \subseteq N(T^{*}-\overline{\lambda}_{0})}}$ .  相似文献
