New Extended Jacobi Elliptic Function Rational Expansion Method and Its Application

In this paper, an extended Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method is proposed for constructing new forms of exact Jacobi elliptic function solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations by means of making a more general transformation. For illustration, we apply the method to the （2＋1）-dimensional dispersive long wave equation and successfully obtain many new doubly periodic solutions, which degenerate as soliton solutions when the modulus m approximates 1. The method can also be applied to other nonlinear partial differential equations.     

Solitons and other solutions of the nonlinear fractional Zoomeron equation

In order to investigate the nonlinear fractional Zoomeron equation, we propose three methods, namely the Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method, the exponential rational function method and the new Jacobi elliptic function expansion method. Many kinds of solutions are obtained and the existence of these solutions is determined. For some parameters, these solutions can degenerate to the envelope shock wave solutions and the envelope solitary wave solutions. A comparison of our new results with the well-known results is made. The methods used here can also be applicable to other nonlinear partial differential equations. The fractional derivatives in this work are described in the modified Riemann–Liouville sense.     

An Improved F-Expansion Method and Its Application to Coupled Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson Equation

With the aid of computerized symbolic computation, an improved F-expansion method is presented to uniformly construct more new exact doubly periodic solutions in terms of rational formal Jacobi elliptic function of nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDEs). The coupled Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson equation is chosen to illustrate the method. As a result, we can successfully obtain abundant new doubly periodic solutions without calculating various Jacobi elliptic functions. In the limit cases, the rational solitary wave solutions and trigonometric function solutions are obtained as well.     

New doubly periodic and multiple soliton solutions of the generalized （3＋l）-dimensional KP equation with variable coefficients

A new generalized Jacobi elliptic function method is used to construct the exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) in a unified way. The main idea of this method is to take full advantage of the elliptic equation which has more new solutions. More new doubly periodic and multiple soliton solutions are obtained for the generalized (3+1)-dimensional Kronig－Penny (KP) equation with variable coefficients. This method can be applied to other equations with variable coefficients.     

An extended Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method and its application to ()-dimensional dispersive long wave equation

With the aid of computerized symbolic computation, a new elliptic function rational expansion method is presented by means of a new general ansatz, in which periodic solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations that can be expressed as a finite Laurent series of some of 12 Jacobi elliptic functions, is more powerful than exiting Jacobi elliptic function methods and is very powerful to uniformly construct more new exact periodic solutions in terms of rational formal Jacobi elliptic function solution of nonlinear partial differential equations. As an application of the method, we choose a (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation to illustrate the method. As a result, we can successfully obtain the solutions found by most existing Jacobi elliptic function methods and find other new and more general solutions at the same time. Of course, more shock wave solutions or solitary wave solutions can be gotten at their limit condition.

An extended Jacobi elliptic function method is proposed for constructing the exact double periodic solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) in a unified way. It is shown that these solutions exactly degenerate to the many types of soliton solutions in a limited condition. The Wu－Zhang equation (which describes the (2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave) is investigated by this means and more formal double periodic solutions are obtained.

On a Generalized Extended F-Expansion Method

Making use of a new generalized ansatz, we present a new generalized extended F-expansion method for constructing the exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations in a unified way. Applying the generalized method with the aid of Maple, we consider the (2+1)-dimentional breaking soliton equation. As a result, we successfully obtain some new and more general solutions including Jacobi elliptic function solutions, soliton-like solutions, trigonometric function solutions, and so on. As an illustrative sample, the properties of some soliton solutions for the breaking soliton equation are shown by some figures. Our method can also be applied to other partial differential equations.

Applications of Jacobi Elliptic Function Expansion Method for Nonlinear Differential-Difference Equations

The Jacobi elliptic function expansion method is extended to derive the explicit periodic wave solutions for nonlinear differential-difference equations. Three well-known examples are chosen to illustrate the application of the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method. As a result, three types of periodic wave solutions including Jacobi elliptic sine function, Jacobi elliptic cosine function and the third elliptic function solutions are obtained. It is shown that the shock wave solutions and solitary wave solutions can be obtained at their limit condition.     

Multiple Jacobi Elliptic Function Solutions to Integrable Higher Order Broer-Kaup Equation in (2+1)-Dimensional Spaces

In this paper, we improve the method for deriving Jacobi elliptic function solutions of nonlinear evolution equations given in Ref. [12] and apply it to the integrable higher-order Broer-Kaup system in (2 1)-dimensional spaces.Some new elliptic function solutions are obtained.

A Generalized F-expansion Method and Its Application in High-Dimensional Nonlinear Evolution Equation

A generalized F-expansion method is introduced and applied to (3 1)-dimensional Kadomstev-Petviashvili(KP) equation. As a result, some new Jacobi elliptic function solutions of the equation are found, from which the trigonometric function solutions and the solitary wave solutions can be obtained. The method can also be extended to other types of nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.
