For weakly non ergodic systems, the probability density function of a time average observable is where is the value of the observable when the system is in state j=1,…L. p j eq is the probability that a member of an ensemble of systems occupies state j in equilibrium. For a particle undergoing a fractional diffusion process in a binding force field, with thermal detailed balance conditions, p j eq is Boltzmann’s canonical probability. Within the unbiased sub-diffusive continuous time random walk model, the exponent 0<α<1 is the anomalous diffusion exponent 〈x 2〉∼t α found for free boundary conditions. When α→1 ergodic statistical mechanics is recovered . We briefly discuss possible physical applications in single particle experiments.  相似文献

For the symmetric simple exclusion process on an infinite line, we calculate exactly the fluctuations of the integrated current Q t during time t through the origin when, in the initial condition, the sites are occupied with density ρ a on the negative axis and with density ρ b on the positive axis. All the cumulants of Q t grow like . In the range where , the decay exp [−Q t 3/t] of the distribution of Q t is non-Gaussian. Our results are obtained using the Bethe ansatz and several identities derived recently by Tracy and Widom for exclusion processes on the infinite line. We give a new way to derive branching rules for the conformal embedding $$(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)_m\oplus(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_m)_n\subset(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{nm})_1. $$ In addition, we show that the category ${\mathcal{C}(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)_m^0}$ of degree zero integrable highest weight ${(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)_m}$ -representations is braided equivalent to ${\mathcal{C}(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_m)_n^0}$ with the reversed braiding.  相似文献

This paper deals with topos-theoretic truth-value valuations of quantum propositions. Concretely, a mathematical framework of a specific type of modal approach is extended to the topos theory, and further, structures of the obtained truth-value valuations are investigated. What is taken up is the modal approach based on a determinate lattice , which is a sublattice of the lattice of all quantum propositions and is determined by a quantum state e and a preferred determinate observable R. Topos-theoretic extension is made in the functor category of which base category is determined by R. Each true atom, which determines truth values, true or false, of all propositions in , generates also a multi-valued valuation function of which domain and range are and a Heyting algebra given by the subobject classifier in , respectively. All true propositions in are assigned the top element of the Heyting algebra by the valuation function. False propositions including the null proposition are, however, assigned values larger than the bottom element. This defect can be removed by use of a subobject semi-classifier. Furthermore, in order to treat all possible determinate observables in a unified framework, another valuations are constructed in the functor category . Here, the base category includes all ’s as subcategories. Although has a structure apparently different from , a subobject semi-classifier of gives valuations completely equivalent to those in ’s.  相似文献

We introduce a family of real random polynomials of degree n whose coefficients a k are symmetric independent Gaussian variables with variance , indexed by a real α≥0. We compute exactly the mean number of real roots 〈N n 〉 for large n. As α is varied, one finds three different phases. First, for 0≤α<1, one finds that . For 1<α<2, there is an intermediate phase where 〈N n 〉 grows algebraically with a continuously varying exponent, . And finally for α>2, one finds a third phase where 〈N n 〉∼n. This family of real random polynomials thus exhibits a condensation of their roots on the real line in the sense that, for large n, a finite fraction of their roots 〈N n 〉/n are real. This condensation occurs via a localization of the real roots around the values , 1≪kn.  相似文献

In this paper we continue with the investigation of the behavior of the integrated density of states of random operators of the form H ω =− ρ ω . In the present work we are interested in its behavior at 0, the bottom of the spectrum of H ω . We prove that it converges exponentially fast to the integrated density of states of some periodic operator . Being periodic, cannot exhibit a Lifshitz behaviour. A determination of the single W spin density matrix (SDM) elements in the reaction e+e-→W+W-→lνqq̄(l=e/μ) is reported at centre-of-mass energies between 189 and 209 GeV. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 520 pb-1 taken by DELPHI between 1998 and 2000. The single W SDM elements, ρττ’ (τ,τ’=± 1 or 0), are determined as a function of the W- production angle with respect to the e- beam direction and are obtained from measurements of the W decay products by the application of suitable projection operators, Λττ’, which assume the V-A coupling of the W-boson to fermions. The measured SDM elements are used to obtain the fraction of longitudinally polarised Ws, with the result: at a mean energy of 198 GeV. The SDM elements are also used to determine the triple gauge couplings Δg1 Z,Δκγγ and g4 Z, and . For the CP-violating couplings the results of single parameter fits are: The errors are a combination of statistical and systematic errors. All results are consistent with the Standard Model.  相似文献

A problem of defining the quantum analogues for semi-classical twists in U()[[t]] is considered. First, we study specialization at q = 1 of singular coboundary twists defined in Uq ())[[t]] for g being a nonexceptional Lie algebra, then we consider specialization of noncoboundary twists when = and obtain q-deformation of the semiclassical twist introduced by Connes and Moscovici in noncommutative geometry. We study a 1-dimensional AKLT spin chain, consisting of spins S in the bulk and S/2 at both ends. The unique ground state of this AKLT model is described by the Valence-Bond-Solid (VBS) state. We investigate the density matrix of a contiguous block of bulk spins in this ground state. It is shown that the density matrix is a projector onto a subspace of dimension . This subspace is described by non-zero eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors of the density matrix. We prove that for large block the von Neumann entropy coincides with Renyi entropy and is equal to . NSF Grant DMS-0503712.  相似文献

We study the potential observation at the LHC of CP-violating effects in stop production and subsequent cascade decays, , , , within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We study T-odd asymmetries based on triple products between the different decay products. There may be a large CP asymmetry at the parton level, but there is a significant dilution at the hadronic level after integrating over the parton distribution functions. Consequently, even for scenarios where large CP intrinsic asymmetries are expected, the measurable asymmetry is rather small. High luminosity and precise measurements of masses, branching ratios and CP asymmetries may enable measurements of the CP-violating parameters in cascade decays at the LHC.  相似文献

We study rooted self avoiding polygons and self avoiding walks on deterministic fractal lattices of finite ramification index. Different sites on such lattices are not equivalent, and the number of rooted open walks W n (S), and rooted self-avoiding polygons P n (S) of n steps depend on the root S. We use exact recursion equations on the fractal to determine the generating functions for P n (S), and W n(S) for an arbitrary point S on the lattice. These are used to compute the averages ,, and over different positions of S. We find that the connectivity constant μ, and the radius of gyration exponent are the same for the annealed and quenched averages. However, , and , where the exponents and , take values different from the annealed case. These are expressed as the Lyapunov exponents of random product of finite-dimensional matrices. For the 3-simplex lattice, our numerical estimation gives and , to be compared with the known annealed values and .  相似文献

Non-Hermitian but -symmetrized spherically-separable Dirac and Schr?dinger Hamiltonians are considered. It is observed that the descendant Hamiltonians H r , H θ , and H φ play essential roles and offer some “user-feriendly” options as to which one (or ones) of them is (or are) non-Hermitian. Considering a -symmetrized H φ , we have shown that the conventional Dirac (relativistic) and Schr?dinger (non-relativistic) energy eigenvalues are recoverable. We have also witnessed an unavoidable change in the azimuthal part of the general wavefunction. Moreover, setting a possible interaction V(θ)≠0 in the descendant Hamiltonian H θ would manifest a change in the angular θ-dependent part of the general solution too. Whilst some -symmetrized H φ Hamiltonians are considered, a recipe to keep the regular magnetic quantum number m, as defined in the regular traditional Hermitian settings, is suggested. Hamiltonians possess properties similar to the -symmetric ones (here the non-Hermitian -symmetric Hamiltonians) are nicknamed as pseudo- -symmetric.  相似文献

A trajectory attractor is constructed for the 2D Euler system containing an additional dissipation term −ru, r > 0, with periodic boundary conditions. The corresponding dissipative 2D Navier-Stokes system with the same term −ru and with viscosity v > 0 also has a trajectory attractor, . Such systems model large-scale geophysical processes in atmosphere and ocean (see [1]). We prove that → as v → 0+ in the corresponding metric space. Moreover, we establish the existence of the minimal limit of the trajectory attractors as v → 0+. We prove that is a connected invariant subset of . The connectedness problem for the trajectory attractor by itself remains open. We consider the point process of zeroes of certain Gaussian analytic functions and find the asymptotics for the probability that there are more than m points of the process in a fixed disk of radius r, as . For the planar Gaussian analytic function, , we show that this probability is asymptotic to . For the hyperbolic Gaussian analytic functions, , we show that this probability decays like .In the planar case, we also consider the problem posed by Mikhail Sodin2 on moderate and very large deviations in a disk of radius r, as . We partially solve the problem by showing that there is a qualitative change in the asymptotics of the probability as we move from the large deviation regime to the moderate.Research supported by NSF grant #DMS-0104073 and NSF-FRG grant #DMS-0244479.  相似文献

We present exact calculations of the Potts model partition function Z(G,q,v) for arbitrary q and temperature-like variable v on strip graphs G of the honeycomb lattice for a variety of transverse widths equal to L y vertices and for arbitrarily great length, with free longitudinal boundary conditions and free and periodic transverse boundary conditions. These partition functions have the form , where m denotes the number of repeated subgraphs in the longitudinal direction. We give general formulas for N Z,G,j for arbitrary L y . We also present plots of zeros of the partition function in the q plane for various values of v and in the v plane for various values of q. Plots of specific heat for infinite-length strips are also presented, and, in particular, the behavior of the Potts antiferromagnet at is investigated.  相似文献

Let p≥2, n 1⋅⋅⋅n p be positive integers and be independent planar Brownian motions started uniformly on the boundary of the unit circle. We define a p-fold intersection exponent ς p (n 1,…,n p ), as the exponential rate of decay of the probability that the packets , i=1,…,p, have no joint intersection. The case p=2 is well-known and, following two decades of numerical and mathematical activity, Lawler et al. (Acta Math. 187:275–308, 2001) rigorously identified precise values for these exponents. The exponents have not been investigated so far for p>2. We present an extensive mathematical and numerical study, leading to an exact formula in the case n 1=1, n 2=2, and several interesting conjectures for other cases.  相似文献

We study various statistical properties of real roots of three different classes of random polynomials which recently attracted a vivid interest in the context of probability theory and quantum chaos. We first focus on gap probabilities on the real axis, i.e. the probability that these polynomials have no real root in a given interval. For generalized Kac polynomials, indexed by an integer d, of large degree n, one finds that the probability of no real root in the interval [0,1] decays as a power law n θ(d) where θ(d)>0 is the persistence exponent of the diffusion equation with random initial conditions in spatial dimension d. For n≫1 even, the probability that they have no real root on the full real axis decays like n −2(θ(2)+θ(d)). For Weyl polynomials and Binomial polynomials, this probability decays respectively like and where θ is such that in large dimension d. We also show that the probability that such polynomials have exactly k roots on a given interval [a,b] has a scaling form given by where N ab is the mean number of real roots in [a,b] and a universal scaling function. We develop a simple Mean Field (MF) theory reproducing qualitatively these scaling behaviors, and improve systematically this MF approach using the method of persistence with partial survival, which in some cases yields exact results. Finally, we show that the probability density function of the largest absolute value of the real roots has a universal algebraic tail with exponent −2. These analytical results are confirmed by detailed numerical computations. Some of these results were announced in a recent letter (Schehr and Majumdar in Phys. Rev. Lett. 99:060603, 2007).  相似文献

We obtain explicit formulas for the semi-classical twists deforming the coalgebraic structure of $U({\mathfrak{sl}}_{3})$ and $U({\mathfrak{sl}}_{4})$ . In rank 2 and 3 the corresponding universal R-matrices quantize the boundary r-matrices of Cremmer–Gervais type defining Lie Frobenius structures on the maximal parabolic subalgebras in ${\mathfrak{sl}}_{n}$ .  相似文献

A recent investigation of the possibility of having a -symmetric periodic potential in an optical lattice stimulated the urge to generalize non-hermitian quantum mechanics beyond the case of commutative space. We thus study non-hermitian quantum systems in non-commutative space as well as a -symmetric deformation of this space. Specifically, a -symmetric harmonic oscillator together with an iC(x 1+x 2) interaction are discussed in this space, and solutions are obtained. We show that in the deformed non-commutative space the Hamiltonian may or may not possess real eigenvalues, depending on the choice of the non-commutative parameters. However, it is shown that in standard non-commutative space, the iC(x 1+x 2) interaction generates only real eigenvalues despite the fact that the Hamiltonian is not -symmetric. A complex interacting anisotropic oscillator system also is discussed.  相似文献
