We prove that if for a continuous map ff on a compact metric space XX, the chain recurrent set, R(f)R(f) has more than one chain component, then ff does not satisfy the asymptotic average shadowing property. We also show that if a continuous map ff on a compact metric space XX has the asymptotic average shadowing property and if AA is an attractor for ff, then AA is the single attractor for ff and we have A=R(f)A=R(f). We also study diffeomorphisms with asymptotic average shadowing property and prove that if MM is a compact manifold which is not finite with dimM=2dimM=2, then the C1C1 interior of the set of all C1C1 diffeomorphisms with the asymptotic average shadowing property is characterized by the set of ΩΩ-stable diffeomorphisms.  相似文献

We consider nonlinear diffusion of some substance in a container (not necessarily bounded) with bounded boundary of class C2C2. Suppose that, initially, the container is empty and, at all times, the substance at its boundary is kept at density 1. We show that, if the container contains a proper C2C2-subdomain on whose boundary the substance has constant density at each given time, then the boundary of the container must be a sphere. We also consider nonlinear diffusion in the whole RNRN of some substance whose density is initially a characteristic function of the complement of a domain with bounded C2C2 boundary, and obtain similar results. These results are also extended to the heat flow in the sphere SNSN and the hyperbolic space HNHN.  相似文献

We study the finiteness of uniform sinks for flows. Precisely, we prove that, for α>0α>0 and T>0T>0, if a vector field X has only hyperbolic singularities or sectionally dissipative singularities, then X   can have only finitely many (α,T)(α,T)-uniform sinks. The period annuli of the planar vector field x=−yF(x,y)x=yF(x,y), y=xF(x,y)y=xF(x,y), where the set {F(x,y)=0}{F(x,y)=0} consists of k   different isolated points, is defined by k+1k+1 concentric annuli. In this paper we perturb it with polynomials of degree n and we study how many limit cycles bifurcate, up to a first order analysis, from all the period annuli simultaneously in terms of k and n  . Additionally, we prove that the associated Abelian integral is piecewise rational and, when k=1k=1, the provided upper bound is reached. Finally, the case k=2k=2 is also treated.  相似文献

We study boundary value problems of the form -Δu=f-Δu=f on ΩΩ and Bu=gBu=g on the boundary ∂ΩΩ, with either Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions, where ΩΩ is a smooth bounded domain in RnRn and the data f,gf,g are distributions  . This problem has to be first properly reformulated and, for practical applications, it is of crucial importance to obtain the continuity of the solution uu in terms of f and g  . For f=0f=0, taking advantage of the fact that uu is harmonic on ΩΩ, we provide four formulations of this boundary value problem (one using nontangential limits of harmonic functions, one using Green functions, one using the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map, and a variational one); we show that these four formulations are equivalent. We provide a similar analysis for f≠0f0 and discuss the roles of f and g, which turn to be somewhat interchangeable in the low regularity case. The weak formulation is more convenient for numerical approximation, whereas the nontangential limits definition is closer to the intuition and easier to check in concrete situations. We extend the weak formulation to polygonal domains using weighted Sobolev spaces. We also point out some new phenomena for the “concentrated loads” at the vertices in the polygonal case.  相似文献

The Severi variety parameterizes plane curves of degree dd with δδ nodes. Its degree is called the Severi degree. For large enough dd, the Severi degrees coincide with the Gromov–Witten invariants of CP2CP2. We present several results suggesting that the concept of C1C1-inverse (limit structural) stability is free of singularity theory. An example of a robustly transitive, C1C1-inverse stable endomorphism with a persistent critical set is given. We show that every C1C1-inverse stable, axiom A endomorphism satisfies a certain strong transversality condition (T). We prove that every attractor–repeller endomorphism satisfying axiom A and condition (T  ) is C1C1-inverse stable. The latter is applied to Hénon maps, rational functions and others. This leads us to conjecture that C1C1-inverse stable endomorphisms are exactly those which satisfy axiom A and condition (T).  相似文献

Recently, Alfakih and Ye (2013) [4] proved that if an r  -dimensional bar framework (G,p)(G,p) on n?r+2n?r+2 nodes in general position in RrRr admits a positive semidefinite stress matrix with rank n−r−1nr1, then (G,p)(G,p) is universally rigid. In this paper, we generalize this result in two directions. First, we extend this result to tensegrity frameworks. It is proved that the solutions to the singular stochastic pp-Laplace equation, p∈(1,2)p(1,2) and the solutions to the stochastic fast diffusion equation with nonlinearity parameter r∈(0,1)r(0,1) on a bounded open domain Λ⊂RdΛRd with Dirichlet boundary conditions are continuous in mean, uniformly in time, with respect to the parameters pp and rr respectively (in the Hilbert spaces L2(Λ)L2(Λ), H−1(Λ)H1(Λ) respectively). In the present paper we consider the Volterra integration operator V   on the Wiener algebra W(D)W(D) of analytic functions on the unit disc DD of the complex plane CC. A complex number λλ is called an extended eigenvalue of V if there exists a nonzero operator A   satisfying the equation AVVAAV=λVA. We prove that the set of all extended eigenvalues of V   is precisely the set C?{0}C?{0}, and describe in terms of Duhamel operators and composition operators the set of corresponding extended eigenvectors of VV. Two modifications of Newton’s method to accelerate the convergence of the nnth root computation of a strictly positive real number are revisited. Both modifications lead to methods with prefixed order of convergence p∈N,p≥2pN,p2. We consider affine combinations of the two modified ppth-order methods which lead to a family of methods of order pp with arbitrarily small asymptotic constants. Moreover the methods are of order p+1p+1 for some specific values of a parameter. Then we consider affine combinations of the three methods of order p+1p+1 to get methods of order p+1p+1 again with arbitrarily small asymptotic constants. The methods can be of order p+2p+2 with arbitrarily small asymptotic constants, and also of order p+3p+3 for some specific values of the parameters of the affine combination. It is shown that infinitely many ppth-order methods exist for the nnth root computation of a strictly positive real number for any p≥3p3.  相似文献

In this paper, new classes of nondifferentiable functions constituting multiobjective programming problems are introduced. Namely, the classes of dd-rr-type I objective and constraint functions and, moreover, the various classes of generalized dd-rr-type I objective and constraint functions are defined for directionally differentiable multiobjective programming problems. Sufficient optimality conditions and various Mond–Weir duality results are proved for nondifferentiable multiobjective programming problems involving functions of such type. Finally, it is showed that the introduced dd-rr-type I notion with r≠0r0 is not a sufficient condition for Wolfe weak duality to hold. These results are illustrated in the paper by suitable examples.  相似文献
