In this paper the authors investigate the structure of the restricted Lie algebra cohomology of p-nilpotent Lie algebras with trivial p-power operation. Our study is facilitated by a spectral sequence whose E 2-term is the tensor product of the symmetric algebra on the dual of the Lie algebra with the ordinary Lie algebra cohomology and converges to the restricted cohomology ring. In many cases this spectral sequence collapses, and thus, the restricted Lie algebra cohomology is Cohen–Macaulay. A stronger result involves the collapsing of the spectral sequence and the cohomology ring identifying as a ring with the E 2-term. We present criteria for the collapsing of this spectral sequence and provide some examples where the ring isomorphism fails. Furthermore, we show that there are instances when the spectral sequence does not collapse and yields cohomology rings which are not Cohen-Macaulay.  相似文献

The Hochschild cohomology of a DG algebra A with coefficients in itself is, up to a suspension of degrees, a graded Lie algebra. The purpose of this paper is to prove that a certain DG Lie algebra of derivations appears as a finite codimensional graded sub Lie algebra of this Lie algebra when A is a strongly homotopy commutative algebra whose homology is concentrated in finitely many degrees. This result has interesting implications for the free the loop space homology which we explore here as well.  相似文献

We study the Poisson (co)homology of the algebra of truncated polynomials in two variables viewed as the semi-classical limit of a quantum complete intersection studied by Bergh and Erdmann. We show in particular that the Poisson cohomology ring of such a Poisson algebra is isomorphic to the Hochschild cohomology ring of the corresponding quantum complete intersection. We show that the André-Quillen cohomology of an E simplicial algebra with arbitrary coefficients and the topological André-Quillen cohomology of an E ring spectrum with Eilenberg-Mac Lane coefficients may be calculated as the André-Quillen cohomology of an associated E differential graded algebra.  相似文献

The reconstruction algebra is a generalization of the preprojective algebra, and plays important roles in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. We consider the homological property of this class of algebras by calculating the Hochschild homology and Hochschild cohomology. Let Λ t be the Yoneda algebra of a reconstruction algebra of type A 1 over a field k. In this paper, a minimal projective bimodule resolution of Λ t is constructed, and the k-dimensions of all Hochschild homology and cohomology groups of Λ t are calculated explicitly.  相似文献

This paper aims to study low dimensional cohomology of Hom-Lie algebras and the qdeformed W(2, 2) algebra. We show that the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra is a Hom-Lie algebra. Also,we establish a one-to-one correspondence between the equivalence classes of one-dimensional central extensions of a Hom-Lie algebra and its second cohomology group, leading us to determine the second cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra. In addition, we generalize some results of derivations of finitely generated Lie algebras with values in graded modules to Hom-Lie algebras. As application, we compute all αk-derivations and in particular the first cohomology group of the q-deformed W(2, 2) algebra.  相似文献

We consider the ? n -Galois covering ?? n of the algebra A introduced by F. Xu [Adv. Math., 2008, 219: 1872?C1893]. We calculate the dimensions of all Hochschild cohomology groups of ?? n and give the ring structure of the Hochschild cohomology ring modulo nilpotence. As a conclusion, we provide a class of counterexamples to Snashall-Solberg??s conjecture.  相似文献

We calculate the dimensions of the Hochschild cohomology groups of a self-injective special biserial algebra Λ s obtained by a circular quiver with double arrows. Moreover, we give a presentation of the Hochschild cohomology ring modulo nilpotence of Λ s by generators and relations. This result shows that the Hochschild cohomology ring modulo nilpotence of Λ s is finitely generated as an algebra.  相似文献

We compute the space of Poisson traces on a classical W \mathcal{W} -algebra, i.e., linear functionals invariant under Hamiltonian derivations. Modulo any central character, this space identifies with the top cohomology of the corresponding Springer fiber. As a consequence, we deduce that the zeroth Hochschild homology of the corresponding quantum W \mathcal{W} -algebra modulo a central character identifies with the top cohomology of the corresponding Springer fiber. This implies that the number of irreducible finite-dimensional representations of this algebra is bounded by the dimension of this top cohomology, which was established earlier by C. Dodd using reduction to positive characteristic. Finally, we prove that the entire cohomology of the Springer fiber identifies with the so-called Poisson-de Rham homology (defined previously by the authors) of the centrally reduced classical W \mathcal{W} -algebra.  相似文献

Relying on the computation of the André-Quillen homology groups for unstable Hopf algebras, we prove that if the mod p cohomology of both the fiber and the base in an H-fibration is finitely generated as algebra over the Steenrod algebra, then so is the mod p cohomology of the total space. In particular, the mod p cohomology of the n-connected cover of a finite H-space is always finitely generated as algebra over the Steenrod algebra.  相似文献

We give a definition of a derivation of an A ring spectrum and relate this notion to topological Hochschild cohomology. Strict multiplicative structure is introduced into Postnikov towers and generalized Adams towers of A -ring spectra. An obstruction theory for lifting multiplicative maps is constructed. The developed techniques are then applied to show that a broad class of complex-oriented spectra admit structures of MU-algebras where MU is the complex cobordism spectrum. Various computations of topological derivations and topological Hochschild cohomology are made.  相似文献

Let X be a 3 local, finite, simply connected H-space with associative homology ring . Some known examples are the Lie group , Harper's H-space X(3) and any odd dimensional sphere . We prove the cohomology algebra is isomorphic to the cohomology algebra of a finite product of and odd dimensional spheres. Let \({A= (\land V, d)}\) be a minimal Sullivan algebra where V is finite dimensional. We show that the Hochschild cohomology HH*(A; A) can be computed in terms of derivations of A. This provides another method to compute the loop space homology of a simply connected space for which \({ \pi_*(X) \otimes \mathbb{Q} }\) is finite dimensional.  相似文献

We study here the rigidity of algebras which are the completion of the Weyl algebra A or the universal enveloping algebra A′ of the Lie algebra of the 2k+1 dimensional Heisenberg group. We define a canonical completion A* of A and of A and prove that A* does not does not have any continuous, Sp(k)-invariant deformation. Finally, we study the cohomology group associated to the problem of deformation of A′ and its completion. The invariant cohomology is one dimensional.  相似文献

We compute the motivic cohomology groups of the simplicial motive Xθ of a Rost variety for an n-symbol θ in Galois cohomology of a field. As an application we compute the kernel and cokernel of multiplication by θ in Galois cohomology. We also show that the reduced norm map on K2 of a division algebra of square-free degree is injective.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate identities with two generalized derivations in prime rings. We prove, for example, the following result. Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from two and let F 1, F 2 : RR be generalized derivations satisfying the relation F 1(x)F 2(x) + F 2(x)F 1(x) = 0 for all ${x \in R}$ . In this case either F 1 = 0 or F 2 = 0.  相似文献

Let 𝒲 be the Virasoro-like algebra, and d 1, d 2 be the degree derivations of 𝒲. Set ? = W⊕C d 1⊕C d 2. Let F α(V) be the ?-module defined by Larsson's functor applied to a finite dimensional sl 2-module V. We consider a one point extension algebra B of a quiver algebra A q over a field k defined by two cycles and a quantum-like relation depending on a nonzero element q in k. We determine the Hochschild cohomology ring of B modulo nilpotence and show that if q is a root of unity, then B is a counterexample to Snashall-Solberg’s conjecture.  相似文献

The goal of the paper is to introduce a version of Schubert calculus for each dihedral reflection group W. That is, to each ??sufficiently rich?? spherical building Y of type W we associate a certain cohomology theory $ H_{BK}^*(Y) $ and verify that, first, it depends only on W (i.e., all such buildings are ??homotopy equivalent??), and second, $ H_{BK}^*(Y) $ is the associated graded of the coinvariant algebra of W under certain filtration. We also construct the dual homology ??pre-ring?? on Y. The convex ??stability?? cones in $ {\left( {{\mathbb{R}^2}} \right)^m} $ defined via these (co)homology theories of Y are then shown to solve the problem of classifying weighted semistable m-tuples on Y in the sense of [KLM1]; equivalently, they are cut out by the generalized triangle inequalities for thick Euclidean buildings with the Tits boundary Y. The independence of the (co)homology theory of Y refines the result of [KLM2], which asserted that the Stability Cone depends on W rather than on Y. Quite remarkably, the cohomology ring $ H_{BK}^*(Y) $ is obtained from a certain universal algebra A t by a kind of ??crystal limit?? that has been previously introduced by Belkale?CKumar for the cohomology of ag varieties and Grassmannians. Another degeneration of A t leads to the homology theory H *(Y).  相似文献
