We expand the degenerate PO pump-probe technique to nondegenerate field and use it to investigate optical nonlinear dynamics in ZnS single crystal. Excited by 532-nm laser pulses with 21-ps duration, the temporal response of nondegenerate nonlinear absorption and nondegenerate nonlinear refraction are probed by laser pulses from optical parameter generation (OPG) at 600 and 680 nm with pulse width of 10 ps. Based on the theory of free-carrier optical nonlinearity, we study the pure free-carrier refraction in ZnS. By numerically fitting based on the nondegenerate pump-probe theory, the nondegenerate two-photon absorption coefficient, the free-carrier lifetime, the free-carrier absorptive cross section and refractive coefficient at both probe wavelengths are determined respectively. The dispersion of the free-carrier refractive coefficients is discussed.  相似文献

We present a study of the competition between tera-hertz (THz) generation by optical rectification in (110) ZnTe crystals, two-photon absorption, second harmonic generation and free-carrier absorption. The two-photon nonlinear absorption coefficient, second harmonic generation efficiency and free-carrier absorption coefficient in the THz range are measured independently. The incident pump field is shown to be depleted by two-photon absorption and the THz radiation is shown to be reduced, upon focusing, by free-carrier absorption. The reduction of the generated THz radiation upon tight focusing is explained, provided that one also takes into account diffraction effects from the sub-wavelength THz source.  相似文献

基于飞秒激发Z扫描实验技术,研究了氮化镓薄膜和不同铝掺杂含量的掺铝氮化镓(以下简称铝镓氮)薄膜的超快非线性光学响应特性。在开孔Z-scan测试中,纯Ga N晶体薄膜表现出典型的双光子吸收特性,双光子吸收系数为3.5 cm/GW,且随着激发光强的增大而逐渐减小。随后测试了不同铝掺杂含量的Al_xGa_(1-x)N薄膜的非线性吸收系数。结果表明,随着铝掺杂摩尔分数的提高(0,19%,32%,42%),非线性吸收系数逐渐减小(18,10,6,5.6 cm/GW)。结合半导体非线性吸收理论分析,Al_xGa_(1-x)N薄膜材料的非线性过程主要是双光子吸收主导非线性响应物理过程。实验结果与半导体双光子吸收过程Sheik-Bahae理论符合得很好。  相似文献

Interband and intersubband optical transitions in quantum wires are studied theoretically with allowance for scattering of carriers both by long-wavelength acoustic fluctuations and by a rough surface. The frequency dependence of the coefficient of light absorption is shown to be described by a bell-shaped curve, the half-width of which depends on the temperature and radius of the nanowire. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data on optical properties of Bi nanowires. In particular, it is shown that scattering of carriers by a rough surface at low temperatures must be taken into account for a satisfactory agreement between the theory and experiment.  相似文献

本文首次报导了Tb0.7Gd0.3P5O14非晶在DCM染料激光的激发下,Gd3+→Tb3+的双光子敏化发光现象.在考虑了Judd-Pooler的自旋轨道相互作用三级微扰项之后,较好地解释了实验结果与Axe的二级双光子吸收理论的偏差.  相似文献

采用紧束缚模型分别描述单层、双层石墨烯的能带结构, 利用光子-电子相互作用的二阶微扰理论分别计算单光子和双光子吸收系数.计算结果表明: 单层石墨烯单光子吸收系数为常数, 约为6.8×107 m-1, 即单层石墨烯对入射光的吸收率约为2.3%; 双层石墨烯的单光子吸收比单层石墨烯的单光子吸收强, 且随入射光波长呈分段性变化.单层石墨烯的双光子吸收系数与波长λ4成正比; 双层石墨烯双光子吸收系数在红外波段(~ 3100 nm处)有一个很强的共振吸收峰. 研究结果可为石墨烯材料在光电子器件的研究和制作方面提供指导. 关键词: 石墨烯 光学吸收 紧束缚模型  相似文献

We study the influence of shaping the phase of the optical field when time-delayed femtosecond pulse pairs excite a sequential two-photon transition in rubidium atoms. Propagation through this optically dense medium modifies the pulse profile. When an external phase is introduced into one of the pulses, partial cancellation of the two-photon absorption signal is observed for temporal delays much greater than the pulse duration. This behavior is qualitatively explained in terms of a negative group delay.  相似文献

依据Mie单次散射理论, 并考虑到皮肤组织复折射率实部的色散, 分析了在可见与近红外波段皮肤组织对光的吸收、散射及散射的方向特性。研究表明, 散射系数和吸收系数均随皮肤组织中散射粒子半径的增加而增加, 而且, 对于大粒子, 在某一波长处表现出强烈的散射和吸收特性。当粒子半径大于临界半径时, 散射系数呈现振荡特性, 随着折射率虚部的增加, 振幅减小。皮肤组织呈现前向散射特性, 且散射粒子的半径越大, 前向散射特性越明显。  相似文献

以菲涅尔-基尔霍夫衍射理论为基础,建立了非线性介质对高斯光束的衍射模型,对高斯光束通过非线性介质后的传输行为进行了详细的理论推导和数值计算,从一种新的角度解释了Z-扫描现象.理论推导出了考虑双光子吸收的闭孔和开孔Z-扫描曲线的统一公式,是计算非线性折射率和双光子吸收系数的一种新方法.数值模拟计算表明,对于考虑双光子吸收的闭孔Z-扫描曲线,其结果与经典的Z-扫描理论完全一致.而对于已给定的开孔Z-扫描曲线,用该理论计算出的双光子吸收系数是经典开孔Z-扫描理论计算值的1/3,其它结论与传统Z-扫描理论完全吻合.该理论的近似条件只要求薄样品和小非线性吸收,比传统理论具有更好的准确性.  相似文献

One-photon absorption and two-photon absorption(TPA) properties of three tris(picolyl)amine-based zinc ion sensors are investigated by employing the density functional response theory in combination with the polarizable continuum model.The different isomer and coordination geometry of each probe are taken into account. Special emphasis is placed on the effects of isomerism and the coordination mode on the optical properties. The intra-molecular charge transfer(ICT)properties are specified by natural bond orbital charge analysis. It is shown that the isomerism has non-negligible effects on TPA properties of free ligands. It is found that both the TPA wavelength and the cross section are highly dependent on the coordination mode. When the zinc ion connects with the picolyl unit in the middle of a ligand, the zinc complex has a large TPA intensity in a long wavelength range due to the increased ICT mechanism.  相似文献

在通常的Λ型三能级系统中,光学耦合场和探测场分别激发两个不同的光学跃迁,探测吸收谱呈现电磁诱导透明(EIT)特性.若将此系统拓展为光学-射频双光子耦合场和探测场共同作用下的准Λ型四能级系统,探测吸收谱呈现电磁诱导吸收(EIA)和EIT两种特性.通过求解系统的密度矩阵方程,分析了EIA和EIT的产生条件,并给出了相应的缀饰态解释.研究结果表明,在准Λ型四能级系统中,光学耦合场对EIA和EIT的形成起决定作用,共振时出现EIA,非共振时出现EIT,而且EIA和EIT的线宽随着光学耦合场拉比频率的增大而增加. 关键词: 电磁诱导透明 电磁诱导吸收 射频场 光学耦合场  相似文献

This paper reviews a microscopic model of basic electron-hole pair excitation processes in strongly confined semiconductor quantum dots (QD) and their influence on the optical QD properties. The effects of valence band mixing, Coulomb interaction, and surface polarization are taken into account. The exciton and biexciton wave functions and energies are obtained using a numerical diagonalization method. The computed optical spectra, such as absorption, gain, pump-probe, and two-photon absorption, agree well with experiments.  相似文献

In this paper, we have developed an analytical model to study the temperature distributions in IR optical materials heated by laser pulses. Our model takes into account the two-photon absorption (TPA). The calculations are based on a three-dimensional model of heat diffusion in solids using the integral transform method. We find out the rigorous analytical expression of the thermal field when one considers both one- and two-photon absorption. The model is valid for any laser–solid system whose interaction can be described by the generalized Beer–Lambert law. Specific results are presented for an application of the model to ZnSe sample. We find out that TPA can produce detectable temperature variation.  相似文献

A study has been made of photoconductivity in Cdln2S4 induced by 1.17 eV photons from a Q-switched neodymium laser. Both three-photon absorption, and two-photon absorption involving the emission of a phonon, have been investigated. The experimental data are in satisfactory agreement with the theory of multi-quantum transitions which takes into account the peculiarities of crystal zone structure.The investigation of competing multi-quantum transitions is a new method which permits one to obtain information on the fundamental optical constants of solids.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the features of two-photon absorption in a coherently driven four-level atomic system with closed-loop configuration. It is found that two-photon absorption can be completely suppressed just by properly adjusting the relative phase of four coherent low-intensity driving fields and the atomic system becomes trans- parent against two-photon absorption. From a physical point of view, we explicitly explain these results in terms of quantum interference induced by two different two-photon excitation channels.  相似文献

The general theory of a distributed temperature sensor based on time-correlated two-photon excited fluorescence in doped optical fibre is presented. Counter-propagating excitation pulses generate a two-photon excited fluorescence flash at their overlap which can be scanned along the length of the fibre by means of a variable mutual delay. The temperature at the sensed location is obtained using the decay time of the fluorescence from this position. As the power of the fluorescence flash is shown to be completely independent of excitation pulse duration and temporal profile, the sensor does not require a picosecond or femtosecond excitation source for operation. Background fluorescence may be reduced by optimising pulse shape and duration, or eliminated entirely by suitable combinations of the pulse wavelengths and the absorption spectrum of the doped medium.  相似文献

We present a theoretical investigation of optical bistability in a nonlinear semiconductor ring resonator, by taking into account the two-photon absorption and the free-carrier absorption. By solving the intensity equation within the ring resonator, a parametric formulation is obtained for describing the bistability relation between the input and the output intensities. Numerical results show that the nonlinear absorption effects can affect the critical points and domain of the optical bistability.  相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical study of the linear and circular dichroism of multiphoton absorption of light in semiconductors with a complex valence band. Matrix elements of optical transitions between subbands of the valence bands of a p-GaAs semiconductor are calculated. Transitions connected with both nonsimultaneous absorption of single photons and simultaneous absorption of two photons are taken into account. An expression for the temperature dependence of the coefficient of multiphoton absorption of polarized radiation with allowance for transitions between subbands of heavy and light holes is obtained.  相似文献
