We analyze the impact of data from the full Run 1 of the LHC at 7 and 8 TeV on the CMSSM with \(\mu > 0\) and \(<0\) and the NUHM1 with \(\mu > 0\) , incorporating the constraints imposed by other experiments such as precision electroweak measurements, flavour measurements, the cosmological density of cold dark matter and the direct search for the scattering of dark matter particles in the LUX experiment. We use the following results from the LHC experiments: ATLAS searches for events with \({E\!\!/}_{T}\) accompanied by jets with the full 7 and 8 TeV data, the ATLAS and CMS measurements of the mass of the Higgs boson, the CMS searches for heavy neutral Higgs bosons and a combination of the LHCb and CMS measurements of \(\mathrm{BR}(B_s \rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)\) and \(\mathrm{BR}(B_d \rightarrow \mu ^+\mu ^-)\) . Our results are based on samplings of the parameter spaces of the CMSSM for both \(\mu >0\) and \(\mu <0\) and of the NUHM1 for \(\mu > 0\) with 6.8 \(\times 10^6\) , 6.2 \(\times 10^6\) and 1.6 \(\times 10^7\) points, respectively, obtained using the MultiNest tool. The impact of the Higgs-mass constraint is assessed using FeynHiggs 2.10.0, which provides an improved prediction for the masses of the MSSM Higgs bosons in the region of heavy squark masses. It yields in general larger values of \(M_h\) than previous versions of FeynHiggs, reducing the pressure on the CMSSM and NUHM1. We find that the global \(\chi ^2\) functions for the supersymmetric models vary slowly over most of the parameter spaces allowed by the Higgs-mass and the \({E\!\!/}_{T}\) searches, with best-fit values that are comparable to the \(\chi ^2/\mathrm{dof}\) for the best Standard Model fit. We provide 95 % CL lower limits on the masses of various sparticles and assess the prospects for observing them during Run 2 of the LHC.  相似文献

In one of our previous papers,we provided general, effective Higgs interactions for the lightest Higgs boson h(SM-like) and a heavier neutral Higgs boson H based on the effective Lagrangian formulation up to the dim-6 interactions, and then proposed two sensitive processes for probing H.We showed in several examples that the resonance peak of H and its dim-6 effective coupling constants(ECC) can be detected at LHC Run 2 with reasonable integrated luminosity. In this paper,we further perform a more thorough study of the most sensitive process,pp →VH*→VVV,providing information about the relations between the 1σ,3σ,5σ statistical significance and the corresponding ranges of the Higgs ECC for an integrated luminosity of 100 fb~(-1).These results have two useful applications in LHC Run 2:(A) realizing the experimental determination of the ECC in the dim-6 interactions if H is found and,(B) obtaining the theoretical exclusion bounds if H is not found. Some alternative processes sensitive for certain ranges of the ECC are also analyzed.  相似文献

The phase structure of SU(3) symmetric gauge-Higgs theory with a fluctuating radial mode is investigated. The Higgs fields are considered in the fundamental representation of SU(3). It is shown that the phase structures of SU(3) and SU(2) symmetric models coincide qualitatively.  相似文献

The LHC collider
《Comptes Rendus Physique》2015,16(4):347-355
The first three year run of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) ended in the spring of 2013. During this period, the collider was operated mainly at beam energies of 3.5 and 4 TeV. The performances that have been achieved during that first run and the challenges for commissioning and operating the LHC are presented. A brief outlook into the upcoming run at an energy of 6.5 TeV will be given.  相似文献

After a general introduction on the Quark Gluon Plasma and a short overview of the experimental results obtained so far with heavy-ion collisions at the SPS and at the RHIC, the physics goals of the ALICE experiment at the LHC are presented. The text was submitted by the author in English.  相似文献

A free-energy function is constructed, which couples strain and magnetic moments in ferromagnetic shape memory alloys. The associated Gibbs function is used to calculate time-dependent transition probabilities between martensite variants in a magnetic field under applied stress. By keeping track of the variant fractions, the evolution of strain and magnetization is determined. The simulation model is built in a finite element program for structural analysis, in order to simulate magnetic field-dependent strain and magnetization characteristics of a test actuator. The influence of material parameters and sample geometry is discussed.  相似文献

The last 2 years has seen an immense amount of activity and results from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Most notable is the discovery of a new particle which may very well be the long sought Higgs boson associated with electroweak symmetry breaking. There have also been many (up to now) unsuccessful searches for new particles associated with supersymmetry. One of the most attractive candidates for dark matter is the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). The recent results from the LHC have had a dramatic impact on our expectations for the properties of the LSP. These results can be used to revise expectations for both direct and indirect detection of dark matter.  相似文献
