The influence of then- n cross section on the observables in dynamical process of heavy ion collisions was investigated by means of the BUU (Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck) equation. The influence of then-n cross section upon transverse momentum, flow angle and quadrupole moment of momentum distribution with increasing incident energy was successfully illustrated according to the variation law ofn-n cross section with and without the medium effects with increasing bombarding energy. This investigation also shows a close relationship between the medium effects of then- n cross section and the nuclear equation of state (EOS).  相似文献

Probing in-medium nucleon-nucleon (NN) cross section σ1/NN(α) in heavy ion collisions has been investigated by means of the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) with the isospin- and momentum-dependent interaction (IMDI(T)). It is found that there are the very obvious medium effect and the sensitive isospin-dependence of nuclear stopping R on the in-medium NN cross section α1/NN(α) in the nuclear reactions induced by halo-neutron projectile and the same-mass stable projectile. However, R induced by the neutron-halo projectile is obviously lower than that induced by the corresponding stable projectile. In particular, there is a very obvious dependence of R on the medium effect of σ1/NN(α) in the whole beam energy region for the above two kinds of projectiles. Therefore, the comparison between the results of R's in the reactions induced by the neutron-halo projectile and the corresponding same-mass stable projectile is a more favourable probe for extracting the information of σ1/NN(α) because of adding a new judgement.[第一段]  相似文献

We employ interactions from chiral effective field theory and compute the binding energies and low-lying excitations of calcium isotopes with the coupled-cluster method. Effects of three-nucleon forces are included phenomenologically as in-medium two-nucleon interactions, and the coupling to the particle continuum is taken into account using a Berggren basis. The computed ground-state energies and the low-lying J^{π}=2^{+} states for the isotopes ^{42,48,50,52}Ca are in good agreement with data, and we predict the excitation energy of the first J^{π}=2^{+} state in ^{54}Ca at 1.9?MeV, displaying only a weak subshell closure. In the odd-mass nuclei ^{53,55,61}Ca we find that the positive parity states deviate strongly from the naive shell model.  相似文献

Total interaction cross sections have been measured for8Li on C and Pb targets, for9Li on C, Al, Cu, Sn and Pb targets as well as for11Li on C, Sn and Pb targets. For each beam, we also used a plastic scintillator as target. The measurements with the scintillator targets are used to extract reduced nuclear radii of the lithium isotopes. These radii are then used for the calculation of the nuclear part of the total cross section for the other targets. The total electromagnetic-dissociation (EMD) cross sections have been deduced and are compared to different models. A strong target-charge-dependent EMD cross section is measured for11Li reaching 2.96 –0.82 +0.84 b for the Pb target. In the9Li case, a large EMD cross section for high-Z targets has been observed which amounts to 0.75 ± 0.45 b for the Pb target. The EMD cross sections of both,9Li and11Li, may be understood by the giantdipole-resonance model.This work forms part of the PhD Thesis of B. Blank  相似文献

Total charge-changing cross sections have been measured for8Li on C and Pb targets, for9Li on C, Al, Cu, Sn and Pb targets, as well as for11Li on C, Sn and Pb targets at about 80 MeV/nucleon. These data are compared to measured total reaction cross sections and Glauber-type calculations using Hartree-Fock density distributions. These comparisons allow to draw conclusions on the proton density distribution of the neutronrich lithium isotopes. The results show that even for the most exotic nucleus11Li the proton distribution is only very weakly influenced by the long tail in the neutron density distribution already established in several experiments.  相似文献

The production cross sections of neutron-rich isotopes 52, 54, 56, 58, 60Ca in the diffusive nucleon transfer reactions 48Ca + 197Au and 48Ca + 238U at incident energies close to the Coulomb barrier are predicted. The global trend of production cross-section with respect to the charge (mass) number of target in reactions with 48Ca beam is analysed for the future experiments.  相似文献

The dipole response of stable and unstable neutron-rich oxygen nuclei of masses A = 17 to A = 22 has been investigated experimentally utilizing electromagnetic excitation in heavy-ion collisions at beam energies about 600 MeV/nucleon. A kinematically complete measurement of the neutron decay channel in inelastic scattering of the secondary beam projectiles from a Pb target was performed. Differential electromagnetic excitation cross sections d sigma/dE were derived up to 30 MeV excitation energy. In contrast to stable nuclei, the deduced dipole strength distribution appears to be strongly fragmented and systematically exhibits a considerable fraction of low-lying strength.  相似文献

We present the results of a full calculation of the QCD O(αS3) radiative corrections to the total cross section for the production of a heavy quark pair. We find large contributions for parton subenergies near threshold and well above threshold. The implications for the production of top and bottom quarks at collider energies are discussed.  相似文献

A large enhancement in the production of neutron-rich projectile residues is observed in the reactions of a 25 MeV/nucleon 86Kr beam with the neutron-rich 124Sn and 64Ni targets relative to the predictions of the EPAX parametrization of high-energy fragmentation, as well as relative to the reaction with the less neutron-rich 112Sn target. A hybrid model based on a deep-inelastic transfer (DIT) code followed by a statistical deexcitation code accounts for part of the observed large cross sections. The DIT simulation indicates that the production of neutron-rich nuclides in these reactions is associated with peripheral nucleon exchange in which the neutron skins of the neutron-rich 124Sn and 64Ni target nuclei may play an important role. From a practical viewpoint, such reactions offer a novel synthetic avenue to access extremely neutron-rich rare isotopes towards the neutron-drip line.  相似文献

A recent formulation of the cross section autocorrelation function, specially developed to take into account the angular momentum effects, is compared to the experimental results concerning the28Si +48Ti and28Si +64Ni reactions. Non-trivial space-time geometrical effects are at the core of bulk-sector heavy ion physics, and two-particle correlations at low relative velocity are the most direct probe of this geometry at the femtometer scale. I present a brief overview of the wealth of femtoscopic measurements from the past two decades of heavy ion experiments. Essentially every conceivable “knob” at our disposal has been turned; the response of two-particle correlations to these variations has revealed much about the space-momentum substructure of the hot source created in the collisions. Dilepton production in heavy ion collisions in the intermediate mass region (IMR) has consistently shown an excess over theoretical estimates. An attempt to understand this discrepancy between the observed dilepton pairs and the theoretical estimate is made here through the production of the meson and estimates obtained by NRQCD calculations. It is argued that in heavy ion collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) there could be a sizable production of baryons containing two or three heavy quarks from statistical coalescence. This production mechanism is peculiar of quark gluon plasma, and the predicted rates, in heavy ion collisions at LHC energies, exceed those from a purely hadronic scenario, particularly for Xi(bc) and Omega(ccc). Thus, in addition to the interest in the discovery of these new states, enhanced ratios of these baryons over singly heavy flavored hadrons, like B or D, in heavy ion collisions with respect to pp at the same energy, would be a clear indication of kinetic equilibration of heavy quarks in the quark gluon plasma.  相似文献

Using transport models that include explicitly the kaon degree of freedom, we have studied kaon flow, i.e., the average kaon transverse momentum as a function of rapidity, and the associated flow parameter in heavy ion collisions at both SIS and AGS energies. It is found that the pattern of kaon flow in heavy ion collisions is sensitive to the kaon potential used in the model and thus provides a useful means for studying the kaon properties in nuclear medium.  相似文献

We discuss the physics underlying event-by-event fluctuations in relativistic heavy ion collision. We will emphasize how the fluctuations of particle ratios can be utilzed to explore the properties of the matter created in these collisions. Short overview of the flow phenomenon from the low upto relativistic heavy ion energies is given. Strict difference between spectator and participant flow is emphased. The latter is described by the modification of the nuclear blast model. Thermal source expanding in a plane perpendicular to the line connecting the centers of projectile and target is assumed. Observed dependences of squeeze-out, side-splash and of mean transverse-energy in relativistic heavy-ion collisions on the particle's mass are reproduced. Partioning of initial projectile energy into thermal and compressional parts in209Bi(1 GeV/u)+208Pb and197Au(150–800 MeV/u)+197Au collisions is discussed.Invited lecture given at the International School-Workshop Relativistic Heavy-Ion Physics, Prague (Czech Republic), 19–23 September 1994.Experimental data obtained at Bi+Pb collisions [6] are the result of the group effort. The relaxation times necessary to establish chemical equilibrium among different hadrons in hot, dense hadronic matter are investigated in a statistical model. Consequences for heavy ion collisions are exploited in the framework of a simple reaction model. The possibility of Bose-Einstein pion condensation around the break-up time of the nuclear fireball is pointed out.  相似文献

Collective flow from ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions is an important hadronic observable sensitive to the early stages of system evolution. We have calculated flow components from a tilted, ellipsoidally expanding source. We also reviewed the recent experimental techniques used for calculation of the v nFourier coefficients and pointed out a few possible problems connected to these techniques, which may lead to serious inaccuracy in the flow analysis.  相似文献

We calculate the pion spectrum in dense nuclear matter for finite temperatures. The critical temperatureT c(ρ) that marks the beginning of a second order phase transition due to pion condensation is given in a phase diagram. We show that in heavy ion collisions, pion condensation should occur, leading to an enhancement in the formation of nuclear shock waves.  相似文献
