An exact analytic solution is derived for the 2D acoustic pressure field generated by a time-harmonic line mass source located above an impedance surface with uniform grazing flow. Closed-form asymptotic solutions in the far field are also provided. The analysis is valid for both locally-reacting and nonlocally-reacting impedances, as is demonstrated by analyzing a nonlocally reacting effective impedance representing the presence of a thin boundary layer over the surface. The analytic solution may be written in a form suggesting a generalization of the method of images to account for the impedance surface. The line source is found to excite surface waves on the impedance surface, some of which may be leaky waves which contradict the assumption of decay away from the surface predicted in previous analyses of surface waves with flow. The surface waves may be treated either (correctly) as unstable waves or (artificially) as stable waves, enabling comparison with previous numerical or mathematical studies which make either of these assumptions.  相似文献

A solution to the Sommerfeld problem of the far (in terms of wavelengths) field of a vertical electrical dipole placed at the interface between two media has been found. The characteristics of a surface electromagnetic wave that propagates over a medium with highly inductive surface impedance δ have been determined. The spatial characteristics of the wave are expressed through the real and imaginary parts of impedance δ. It has been proved that the surface electromagnetic wave is the major contributor to the electromagnetic field of the ground wave in the case of highly inductive radio paths.  相似文献

We use the rigorous electromagnetic theories of gratings we have previously developped to study the behaviour of the surface impedance when different parameters are varied. This behaviour is studied far and near anomalies, for perfectly conducting gratings as well as for gratings with finite conductivity. The work deals with the far field asymptotics of the classical solution for the problem of diffraction by an impedance cone. The incident acoustic plane wave completely illuminates the semi-infinite conical surface. The scattered field contains different components in the asymptotics, namely, the spherical wave from the vertex of the cone, the reflected waves, and, under some conditions, also the surface waves of Rayleigh type. We give integral representations for the scattering diagram of the spherical wave. The uniform (with respect to the observation direction) asymptotic expression for the wave field is also addressed and described by the parabolic cylinder ansatz. In this paper we consider an inverse scattering problem from an obstacle with impedance boundary condition. Our aim is to recover the unknown scatterer from the far field pattern iteratively assuming the impedance function. Our method, while remaining in the framework of Newton’s method, based on a system of two nonlinear integral equations which is equivalent to the original inverse problem, avoids the need of calculating a direct problem at each iteration. Because of the ill-posedness of this problem, regularization method for example, Tikhonov regularization, is incorporated in our solution scheme. Several numerical examples with only one incident wave are given at the end of the paper to show the feasibility of our method.  相似文献

In this paper, the radiation properties of log-periodic (LP) antennas on extended hemispherical dielectric lenses are investigated. The starting point is the far field pattern for the log-periodic antenna on a semi-infinite silicon substrate obtained from numerical simulation. Then the effects of extended hemispherical silicon dielectric lenses on this far field pattern are evaluated using ray tracing and field integration techniques. The far fields patterns out of the lenses are derived as a function of the extension length (L), from which the optimum L can be determined. The coupling efficiencies of the pattern to Gaussian beams are also calculated. The computation results show that the log-periodic antennas have good performance in terms of impedance and pattern and can be used in many submillimeter/THz systems. The simulation methods are verified by comparing the simulation results with experimental data from literature. The utilized approach represents an effective method for log periodic antenna-lens system design at millimeter/submillimeter wavelengths.  相似文献

The effect of an inhomogeneity in the form of a circular cylinder the properties of whose base are described by a certain impedance and whose lateral surface is ideally conducting on the field of a point source in a plane impedance waveguide is studied. In a scalar approximation, the problem is reduced to a two-dimensional integral equation over the surface of the inhomogeneity. A solution is constructed by the method of successive approximations; the solution of the problem for a regular impedance waveguide is used as an initial approximation. The effect of a local ionospheric inhomogeneity on the field of an electrical dipole in the earth-ionosphere waveguide is estimated.Leningrad State University. The surface impedance matrices in stratified plates made of fluid layers and/or anisotropic absorbing solid layers link the particle velocity field to the stress field at any interface. A surface impedance matrix represents the impedance at a given interface of all the layers located between that interface and one boundary of the medium. For each interface, there are two surface impedance matrices, each one corresponding to one boundary. This notion simplifies the computations of the modal solutions. The number of elements in the matrices involved in the computations is divided by a factor of four in comparison to usual matrix methods. This paper describes the method and presents examples to illustrate its interests and its efficiency where other techniques fail, for instance in the case of modes possessing energy in layers embedded in the structure.  相似文献

Four types of sources that induce on a panel four different responses are considered. The differences show up also in the way the responses radiate to the far field. A decoupling device in a form of a layer is placed adjacent to the top surface of the panel. The decoupling layer modifies the radiated fields that the sources generate. The modifications in terms of radiation reduction factors and levels are defined. These factors and levels are analyzed for two kinds of decoupling layers. The first is a compliant coating and the second is a layer of a mixture of gas and fluid. The compliant coating may induce on the fluid a velocity field that is different from that of the panel. The mixture of gas and fluid introduces a surface impedance discontinuity between the top surface of the panel and the top surface of the layer, the top surface being in contact with the semi-infinite fluid above the panel.  相似文献

The diffraction of a spherical acoustic wave generated by a point source from impedance slit in a moving fluid is investigated. The diffracted wave is calculated in the far field regime as a sum of fields produced by the edges of the slit and an incident field. The Myers’ impedance conditions are assumed along the edges of the slit. Such conditions are well adopted for the boundaries of the impedance barriers and yield reliable predictions of the diffraction patterns. A Wiener–Hopf technique is invoked to resolve the problem in combination with Fourier transform techniques and asymptotic analysis. The appositeness of the results and the effect of pertinent physical parameters on the separated field are presented and analyzed graphically.  相似文献

The surface impedance for a metal with a cylindrical Fermi-surface is considered both in the presence of a magnetic field and without the magnetic field. The surface impedance is calculated both in the normal and in the anomalous skin-effect situation and a criterion for distinction between the two cases is given. There is derived a simple analytical expression for the real component of the microwave surface impedance in the ferromagnetic antiresonance region at the external field parallel to the ferromagnetic metal sample surface. The formula for the field derivative of the surface impedance (the quantity usually measured in the experiment) is evaluated. Some properties of this expression are investigated and there are analyzed two definitions of the ferromagnetic antiresonance curve width which are suitable for the Landau-Lifshitz relaxation parameter determination from the experiment.  相似文献

An in situ measurement method is proposed for obtaining the normal surface impedance and absorption coefficient of porous materials using two microphones located close to the material without a specific sound source such as a loudspeaker. Ambient environmental noise that does not excite distinct modes in the sound field is employed as the sound source. Measurements of the normal surface impedance of glass wool and rockwool have been made using this method in various sound fields. The repeatability and wide applicability of the method are demonstrated by comparing results of measurements in one room with different noise conditions and in three other environments (corridor, cafeteria and terrace). The assumed diffuse nature of the sound field on the material is validated by using absorption characteristics obtained experimentally at oblique incidence. This method allows simple and efficient in situ measurements of absorption characteristics of materials in a diffuse field.  相似文献

海浪的破碎区会导致海面电磁散射特性发生很大改变,导致海尖峰现象的产生.本文结合阻抗劈结构模型分析了劈绕射对破碎波后向散射特性的影响.首先利用基尔霍夫近似求解破碎波的物理光学场;基于Maliuzhinets方法,从波动方程及精确阻抗边界条件出发,由谱函数的积分形式得到阻抗劈的一致性绕射系数,结合物理光学绕射系数导出阻抗劈等效边缘电磁流;利用边缘绕射场修正物理光学场,得到考虑劈绕射效应的破碎波散射总场.数值结果表明,阻抗劈的绕射场在Keller锥内出现HH极化大于VV极化的现象,因此计入绕射场的影响会使得破碎波生长到临近坍塌阶段时,小擦地角逆风观测出现总场的后向散射截面HH极化大于VV极化的现象,说明劈绕射是造成海尖峰现象产生的原因之一.  相似文献

本文中对任意费米面求出了金属在红外波段的表面电阻,所得表达式适用于各种性质的趋肤效应(正常、反常和中间情况)。发现在反常趋肤效应时,电场的一个分量衰减很慢,它所决定的电磁波等透系数可能比通常已知者大几个数量级。建议利用此效应发展鉴定超纯金属纯度的无接触测量方法。此外,还考虑了有垂直磁场存在时的表面电阻。  相似文献

An analysis has been carried out to investigate sound transmission in an unflanged circular duct of finite length. A new formulation for calculating the generalized radiation impedance of the opening of a finite length duct with a spinning source inside is presented. The effect of interference between the duct apertures at its two ends is identified in the calculations of radiation impedance, reflection coefficient, and the far field radiation pattern. The results show that the degree of interference between the two ends reduces for high frequency waves and/or for long ducts. Further, the interference effects on the far field for spinning sound are more serious than those for non-spinning sound.  相似文献

Two methods of calculating the effective impedance spectra of acoustically hard, randomly rough, two-dimensional surfaces valid for acoustic wavelengths large compared with the roughness scales have been explored. The first method uses the complex excess attenuation spectrum due to a point source above a rough boundary predicted by a boundary element method (BEM) and solves for effective impedance roots identified by a winding number integral method. The second method is based on an analytical theory in which the contributions from random distributions of surface scatterers are summed to obtain the total scattered field. Effective impedance spectra deduced from measurements of the complex excess attenuation above 2D randomly rough surfaces formed by semicylinders and wedges have been compared to predictions from the two approaches. Although the analytical theory gives relatively poor predictions, BEM-deduced effective impedance spectra agree tolerably well with measured data. Simple polynomials have been found to fit BEM-deduced spectra for surfaces formed by intersecting parabolas corresponding to average roughness heights between 0.25 and 7.5 m and for five incidence angles for each average height. Predicted effects of sea-surface roughness on sonic boom profiles and rise time are comparable to those due to turbulence and molecular relaxation effects.  相似文献

Approximations of the sound field emitted by a point source in the presence of the ground have recently been developed [1]. In this paper, these analytical expressions, slightly improved for computation, are compared with an exact representation of the sound pressure and two kinds of experimental results. The approximations, easy to compute, provide a reasonable accuracy for predictions of the sound levels in the asymptotic and intermediate (preceding the asymptotic) regions. Furthermore, numerical techniques (an optimization method) are presented for obtaining the “best value” of the ground normal impedance, from data obtained in Kundt's tube and far field measurements.  相似文献
