In this paper we mainly study the existence of periodic solutions for a system of delay differential equations representing a simple two-neuron network model of Hopfield type with time-delayed connections between the neurons. We first examine the local stability of the trivial solution, propose some sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of equilibria and then apply the Poincaré-Bendixson theorem for monotone cyclic feedback delayed systems to establish the existence of periodic solutions. In addition, a sufficient condition that ensures the trivial solution to be globally exponentially stable is also given. Numerical examples are provided to support the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

Some sufficient conditions are obtained for the global exponential stability of periodic solutions to periodic bi-directional Cohen–Grossberg neural networks involving distributed delays, by using the Lyapunov functional method and some analytical techniques. These results improve and generalize some previous works, and are helpful for designing a global exponential stable periodic bi-directional Cohen–Grossberg neural networks.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of recurrent neural networks with continuously distributed delays is discussed. Without resorting to the theory of exponential dichotomy, several new sufficient conditions are obtained ensuring the existence of an almost periodic solution for this model based on a special functional and analysis technique. Moreover, by constructing suitable Lyapunov functions, the attractivity and exponential stability of the almost periodic solution are also considered for the system. The results obtained are helpful to design globally stable almost periodic oscillatory neural networks. A numerical example is given to show the feasibility of the results obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a regulated logistic growth model. We first consider the linear stability and the existence of a Hopf bifurcation. We show that Hopf bifurcations occur as the delay τ passes through critical values. Then, using the normal form theory and center manifold reduction, we derive the explicit algorithm determining the direction of Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions. Finally, numerical simulation results are given to support the theoretical predictions.  相似文献

In this article, we study the reduced bifurcation equations of the nonlinear delay differential equations with periodic delays, which models the machine tool chatter with continuously modulated spindle speed to determine the periodic solutions and analyze the tool motion. Analytical results show both modest increase of stability and existence of periodic solutions close to the new stability boundary.  相似文献

Since the celebrated Mackey–Glass model of respiratory dynamics was introduced in 1977, many results on its qualitative behavior have been obtained, including oscillation, stability and chaos. The paper reviews some known properties and presents new results for more general models: equations with time-dependent parameters, several delays, a positive periodic equilibrium and distributed delays. The problems considered in the paper involve existence, positivity and permanence of solutions, oscillation and global asymptotic stability. In addition, some general approaches to the study of nonlinear nonautonomous scalar delay equations are outlined. The paper generalizes and unifies existing results and provides an outlook on further studies.  相似文献

This paper deals with entire solutions of periodic lattice dynamical systems. Unlike homogeneous problems, the periodic equation studied here lacks symmetry between increasing and decreasing pulsating traveling fronts, which affects the construction of entire solutions. In the bistable case, the existence, uniqueness and Liapunov stability of entire solutions are proved by constructing different sub- and supersolutions. In the monostable case, the existence and asymptotic behavior of spatially periodic solutions connecting two steady states are first established. Some new types of entire solutions are then constructed by combining leftward and rightward pulsating traveling fronts with different speeds and a spatially periodic solution. Various qualitative features of the entire solutions are also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper the shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs) with continuously distributed delays are considered. This paper is devoted to the study of Lyapunov type inequalities for periodic conservative systems. The main results are derived from a previous analysis which relates the best Lyapunov constants to some especial (constrained or unconstrained) minimization problems. We provide some new results on the existence and uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear resonant and periodic systems. Normal form theory is very important and useful in simplifying the forms of equations restricted on the center manifolds in studying nonlinear dynamical problems. In this paper, using the center manifold theorem associated with the integrated semigroup theory, we develop a normal form theory for semilinear Cauchy problems in which the linear operator is not densely defined and is not a Hille–Yosida operator and present procedures to compute the Taylor expansion and normal form of the reduced system restricted on the center manifold. We then apply the main results and computation procedures to determine the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions in a structured evolutionary epidemiological model of influenza A drift and an age structured population model.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with the Marchuk model of an immune system. Among the main parameters of the model are the coefficients which describe the state of infected organism and the rate of production of antibodies. In the classical model these coefficients are constants. We consider the case when these coefficients are time-dependent. In particular, we are interested in the case of periodic coefficients which can describe periodic changes of the immune reactivity due to periodic changes of the environment. We examine the asymptotic behaviour of solutions. Under some assumptions we prove that the solutions tend to periodic functions. We also present the results of numerical simulations to illustrate the behaviour of solutions.  相似文献

This paper studies the moment boundedness of solutions of linear stochastic delay differential equations with distributed delay. For a linear stochastic delay differential equation, the first moment stability is known to be identical to that of the corresponding deterministic delay differential equation. However, boundedness of the second moment is complicated and depends on the stochastic terms. In this paper, the characteristic function of the equation is obtained through techniques of the Laplace transform. From the characteristic equation, sufficient conditions for the second moment to be bounded or unbounded are proposed.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, the existence of multiple positive periodic solutions for a generalized delayed predator–prey system with stocking is established. We revisit Nicholson?s blowflies model with natural death rate incorporated into the delay feedback. We consider the delay as a bifurcation parameter and examine the onset and termination of Hopf bifurcations of periodic solutions from a positive equilibrium. We show that the model has only a finite number of Hopf bifurcation values and we describe how branches of Hopf bifurcations are paired so the existence of periodic solutions with specific oscillation frequencies occurs only in bounded delay intervals. The bifurcation analysis and the Matlab package DDE-BIFTOOL developed by Engelborghs et al. guide some numerical simulations to identify ranges of parameters for coexisting multiple attractive periodic solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence and exponential convergence of positive almost periodic solutions for the generalized Nicholson’s blowflies model with multiple time-varying delays. Under proper conditions, we establish some criteria to ensure that the solutions of this model converge locally exponentially to a positive almost periodic solution.
