The presence of trace metals in car fuels plays an important role in the engine maintenance. In addition, these metals contribute for the environmental contamination in big cities and their control is necessary. Square Wave Stripping Voltammetry (SWSV) is a very sensitive technique for elemental trace determination and was applied for ethanol fuel analysis. The first studies were done searching for the best conditions for copper determination in alcoholic medium, utilizing gold electrodes. During these studies, the possibility of the simultaneous determination of copper and lead in the same experiment was observed. Two procedures for the analysis of these metals were adopted: The direct quantification of metals in alcohol–water mixtures and a second way that involves the evaporation of the organic solvent and re-suspension of the ions with water+electrolyte. Good recovery values were obtained for synthetic samples spiked with known amounts of metals. The results obtained for the two methods were in good agreement. The detection limits for copper and lead in 75% ethanol–water ratio solution were calculated as 120 and 235 ng l−1, respectively, for 15-min deposition time.  相似文献

A set of simulated experiments was analysed in order to compare the influence of the titration type and of data treatment methods on the accuracy of metal complexing parameters determination for one- and two-ligand systems. The simulated data corresponded to those obtained by anodic stripping voltammetry and were chosen to represent experiments in linear, logarithmic and decade titration modes. The values of preset complexing parameters for one- and two-ligand systems were chosen to fit into the expected experimental range. Random noise was added to the data prior to the treatment. Five different data treatments were applied: Chau-Buffle, Ru?i?-van den Berg and Scatchard linearisations, and non-linear fitting and PROSECE optimisations. The investigation has shown that even in the case of a one-ligand system, logarithmic and decade titrations are much better compared to the linear ones. Linearisation methods are in many cases inferior to those using optimisation algorithms. Random noise has a significant influence on the results of linearisation methods as well. For linearisation methods, in the case of a one-ligand system, high correlation has been found for the confidence interval of the calculated parameters and the difference between the preset and the calculated values. This correlation is proposed to be used as an estimation for the results quality in real experiments. PROSECE is by far superior to other methods in most of the cases due to its flexible and powerful mathematical background. It is highly recommended as a tool for data treatment. Construction of “contour-graphs” enables error prediction of the calculated complexing parameters. PROSECE is proposed as an orientation and valorisation tool in real samples analyses.  相似文献

An electrochemical method for the simultaneous determinations of HgII concentration and total AsIII and AsV concentration has been developed. The method does not require the additional preliminary step of the chemical reduction of AsV to AsIII, or oxidation of AsIII to AsV before stripping analysis takes place. Also, the method for the simultaneous determination of HgII concentration and AsIII concentration is described. Measurements were performed in 0.1 M HCl using a gold-plated graphite electrode as sensor. Detection limits for both methods are below 0.4 ppb. Relative standard deviation did not exceed 15%. The possible interference by other trace metals was investigated. Analyses of natural water and industrial solutions were made using proposed methods and AAS. The t-test demonstrates that there was no significant difference between the results obtained with these methods. Proposed methods decrease the time of analysis because concentrations of the HgII and arsenic ions were measured simultaneously. Also, the removal of the additional step of chemical reduction of AsV to AsIII or oxidation of AsIII to AsV decreases analysis time, and also reduces the chance of contamination due to the use of additional reagents.  相似文献

A novel electrochemical methods namely standard free anodic stripping voltammetry and anodic stripping voltammetric titration are proposed for determination of dissolved sulfide concentration. 2Ag+ + S2− → Ag2S reaction is used to provide the information. The anodic stripping voltammetric response of unreacted silver-ions at the glassy carbon electrode is used as analytical signal. Results reliability and accuracy are confirmed by analysis of model solutions, spiked natural and tap waters and recovery study, with a recovery of 100 ± 5% (n = 7) obtained. The approaches show the detection limit (3σblank) of 2-5 × 10−10 mol L−1 and the relative standard deviation of 2-5% for repeated measurements.  相似文献

Bismuth film electrode (BiFE) was shown to be an attractive alternative to common mercury film electrode (MFE) for anodic stripping voltammetric measurements. In this study, bismuth film, that was in situ deposited onto glassy carbon electrode, was used to detect zinc content of milkvetch, used in traditional Chinese medicine. Variables affecting the response have been evaluated and optimized. Experimental results showed a high response, with a good linearity (between 0.5 × 10−6 mol L−1 and 3 × 10−6 mol L−1) a good precision (R.S.D. = 3.58%) and a low detection limit (9.6 × 10−9 mol L−1 with a 120 s anodic). The anodic stripping performance makes the bismuth film electrode very desirable for measurements of trace nutritive element zinc in milkvetch and should impart possible restrictions on the use of mercury electrode.  相似文献

The performance in anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) of hemispherical mercury microelectrodes, fabricated by electrodeposition of liquid mercury on the surface of Pt microdisks which were surrounded by a rather thick or thin insulating shield, was compared. The Pt microdisks were produced by sealing a wire of 25 μm diameter into a glass capillary, and by coating the cylindrical length of the Pt wire with a cathodic electrophoretic paint. The ratio of the overall tip radius b, to the basal radius of the electrode a, so-called RG = b/a, was equal to 110 ± 10 and 1.52 ± 0.01 for the thick- and thin-shielded microdisk, respectively. The mercury microelectrodes were characterized by cyclic voltammetry at 1 mV s−1, in 1 mM Ru(NH3)63+ aqueous solution. The steady-state voltammogram recorded with the thin-shielded mercury microelectrode displayed less hysteresis, while the steady-state current was about 30% higher than that of the thicker one. This was a consequence of the additional flux due to diffusion from behind the plane of the electrode. The flux enhancement, which was operative at the thin-shielded mercury microelectrode during the deposition step in the ASV experiments, allowed recording stripping peaks for Cd and Pb, which resulted about 32% larger than those recorded at the thicker shielded mercury microelectrode, under same experimental conditions. The usefulness of the thin-shielded mercury microelectrode for ASV measurements in real samples was verified by determining the content of heavy metal ions released in the pore water (pH 4.5) of a soil slurry.  相似文献

A novel method is described for determination of metoclopramide (MCP) by second-derivative adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry with a nafion-modified electrode. The stripping peak current is proportional to the concentration of MCP over the range 1.2×10−9–4.6×10−7 M. The detection limit is 8.0×10−11 M with 4-min accumulation. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of MCP in human serum.  相似文献

The applicability of H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) to the resolving of overlapping differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetric peaks corresponding to the oxidation of lead and tin is verified. The results show that the H-point standard addition method is suitable for the simultaneous determination of lead and tin in aqueous media. The results of applying the H-point standard addition method showed that Sn2+ and Pb2+ could be determined simultaneously with the concentration ratios of Sn2+ to Pb2+ varying from 1:5 to 10:1 in the mixed sample. The proposed method has been successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of lead in the presence of tin in some synthetic samples. Moreover, the applicability of the method was demonstrated by the recovery of lead in a canned soft drink sample.  相似文献

The electrochemical responses of tannic acid have been obtained at porous pseudo-carbon paste electrode (PPCPE), polypyrrole modified carbon paste electrode (PCPE), SBA-15 modified CPE (SBA-MCPE) and carbon paste electrode (CPE) under same conditions, respectively. The results show that the sensitivity of PPCPE is the highest among all the checked electrodes. The detection limit at PPCPE is 0.01 μM, which is about 10 times lower than that at CPE and is about 5 times lower than that at PCPE or SBA-MCPE. The developed electrode PPCPE possesses a few obvious advantages and no binding reagents are needed. The surface area of PPCPE is 59.26 m2 g−1 with pores ranging from 2 to 5 μm in diameter. The PPCPE is easy to preserve and has good reusability, which affords a nice electrochemical platform for detecting tannic acid.  相似文献

The possibility of applying antimony-film modified glassy carbon electrode in sequential-injection analysis (SIA) was investigated with the objective of determining Pb(II) and Cd(II) by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). The conditions of antimony-film deposition concerning composition of the plating/carrier solutions, concentrations of Sb(III) and hydrochloric acid, effects of different supporting electrolyte salts, and plating potential were optimized. It was found that the antimony-film deposition on glassy carbon substrate in a sample solution consisting of 750 μg L−1 Sb(III), 0.5 mol L−1 HCl at −1.5 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/3 mol L−1 KCl) yielded a modified electrode suitable for the determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) at the μg L−1 level. The reproducibility of the analytical signals was characterized by a relative standard deviation lower than 2.8%, and the calculated values of detection limits were 1.2 μg L−1 for Pb(II) and 1.4 μg L−1 for Cd(II). The presence of KSCN in the sample solution offers the possibility of detecting ions with more negative oxidation potentials like Zn(II), Mn(II) or Cr(III). The developed SIA-ASV procedure was compared with the commonly used batch method, and its applicability was tested on a spiked tap water sample.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective method for the simultaneous determination of copper, zinc and lead is presented. The method is based on the adsorptive accumulation of 2′,3,4′,5,7-pentahydroxyflavone (Morin) complexes of these elements onto a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by reduction of adsorbed species by voltammetric scan using differential pulse modulation. Optimal analytical conditions were found to be Morin concentration of 2.0 μM, pH of 4.0, and an adsorption potential at −500 mV versus Ag/AgCl. With an accumulation time of 60 s, the peak currents are proportional to the concentration of copper, lead and zinc over the 1 to 60, 0.3-80 and 1-70 ng ml−1 range with detection limits of 0.06, 0.08 and 0.06 ng ml−1, respectively. The procedure was applied to the simultaneous determination of copper, lead and zinc in some real and synthetic artificial real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Anodic stripping voltammetry, a classical electroanalytical method has been optimized to analyze trace Pd(II) in active pharmaceutical ingredient matrices. The electroanalytical approach with an unmodified glassy carbon electrode was performed in both aqueous and 95% DMSO/5% water (95/5 DMSO/H2O) solutions, without pretreatment such as acid digestion or dry ashing to remove the organics. Limits of detection (LODs) in the presence of caffeine and ketoprofen were determined to be 11 and 9.6 μg g−1, with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 5.7% and 2.3%, respectively. This method is simple, highly reproducible, sensitive, and robust. The instrumentation has the potential to be portable and the obviation of sample pretreatment makes it an ideal approach for determining lost catalytic metals in pharmaceutical-related industries. Furthermore, the simultaneous detection of Pd(II) with Cd(II) and Pb(II) in the low μg L−1 range indicates that this system is capable of simultaneous multi-analyte analysis in a variety of matrices.  相似文献

A new method is presented for the determination of bismuth and copper based on cathodic adsorptive stripping of complexes of Cu(II) and Bi(III) with 2′,3,4′,5,7-pentahydroxyflavone (morin) at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). The effect of various parameters such as pH, concentration of morin, accumulation potential and accumulation time on the selectivity and sensitivity were studied. The optimum conditions for determination of copper include nitric acid concentration 0.1 M, morin concentration 0.6 μM and accumulation potential of −300 mV. Those conditions for the determination of bismuth include 0.15 M acid concentration, 0.6 μM morin and accumulation potential of −300 mV. Under these optimum conditions and for an accumulation time of 60 s, the measured peak current at −20 to 25 mV is proportional to the concentration of copper and bismuth over the range of 0.2-130 and 5-50 ng ml−1, respectively. At high concentration of morin (35 μM morin) and accumulation potential of −300 mV (versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode) the peak current is proportional only to the concentration of copper and bismuth has no contribution to the current. At low concentration of morin (0.5 μM morin) and accumulation potential of 100 mV (versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode) the peak current is proportional only to the concentration of bismuth. The method was applied to the determination of copper and bismuth in some real and synthetic samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Trace quantities of selenium can be determined in the presence of iron, copper and lead using anodic stripping voltammetry, depositing at –0.60 V in 0.1M HClO4 and stripping in the anodic direction. Two separate peaks are observed at –0.25 V and –0.10 V belonging to copper and selenium, respectively. Sometimes one peak may be observed for both copper and selenium. In this case one more stripping (without deposition) must be done to obtain separate peaks. After standard addition, two strippings have to be done also. With this proposed method, 10–7 M selenium could be determined as (1.09±0.03) × 10–7 M with a 90% confidence interval in blood samples without any separation.Presented at Xth National Chemistry Congress, Bursa, Turkey, September 19–21, 1994  相似文献

The adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry technique (AdCSV) is used to determine copper(II) using salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (N, S- donor) as a complexing agent on hanging mercury drop electrode at pH 9.3. Variable factors affecting the response, i.e. the concentration of ligand, pH, adsorption potential and adsorption time are assessed and optimized. The adsorbed complex of copper(II) and salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone gives a well defined cathodic stripping peak current at −0.35 V, which has been used for the determination of copper in the concentration range of 7.85 × 10−9 to 8.00 × 10−6 M with accumulation time of 360 s at −0.1 V versus Ag/AgCl. This technique has been applied for the determination of copper in various digested samples of whole blood at trace levels.  相似文献

An anodic stripping voltammetric method for the determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) at a MCM-41 mesoporous material modified carbon paste electrode (MCM-MCPE) was investigated. The test was based on the dual monoclonal antibody “sandwich” principle using colloidal gold as a labeled substrate. Four main steps were carried out to obtain the analytical signal, i.e. electrode preparation, immunoreaction, silver enhancement, and anodic stripping voltammetric detection. The anodic stripping peak current increased linearly with the concentration of cTnI over the range of 0.8-5.0 ng/ml. A detection limit of 0.5 ng/ml was obtained. The established method was applied to detect cTnI in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) samples using routine enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA) for comparison analysis, and good results were obtained.  相似文献

A bismuth bulk electrode (BiBE) has been investigated as an alternative electrode for the anodic stripping voltammetric (ASV) analysis of Pb(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II). The BiBE, which is fabricated in-house, shows results comparable to those of similar analyses at other Bi-based electrodes. Metal accumulation is achieved by holding the electrode potential at −1.4 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) for 180 s followed by a square wave voltammetric stripping scan from −1.4 to −0.35 V. Calibration plots are obtained for all three metals, individually and simultaneously, in the10-100 μg L−1 range, with a detection limit of 93, 54, and 396 ng L−1 for Pb(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), respectively. A slight reduction in slope is observed for Cd(II) and Pb(II) when the three metals are calibrated simultaneously vs. individually. Comparing the sensitivities of the metals when calibrated individually vs. in a mixture reveals that Zn(II) is not affected by stripping in a mixture. However, Pb(II) and Cd(II) have decreasing sensitivities in a mixture. The optimized method has been successfully used to test contaminated river water by standard addition. The results demonstrate the ability of the BiBE as an alternative electrode material in heavy metal analysis.  相似文献
