In this paper we have introduced a new regularity coefficient of time varying discrete linear system. On the base of this coefficient we have characterized the regularity of homogeneous discrete time varying linear systems by nonhomogeneous ones. We introduce a nonlinear method to study a ??universal?? strong coercivity problem for monotone linear elliptic systems by compositions of finitely many constant coefficient tensors satisfying the Legendre?CHadamard strong ellipticity condition. We give conditions and counterexamples for universal coercivity. In the case of non-coercive systems we give examples to show that the corresponding variational integral may have infinitely many nowhere C 1 minimizers on their supports. For some universally coercive systems we also present examples with affine boundary values which have nowhere C 1 solutions. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the two‐dimensional (2D) incompressible Boussinesq equations with fractional Laplacian dissipation and thermal diffusion. Attention is focused on the subcritical case when the velocity dissipation dominates. More precisely, we establish the global regularity result of the 2D Boussinesq equations in a new range of fractional powers of the Laplacian, namely with . Therefore, this result significantly improves the previous work 31 which obtained the global regularity result for with , where is an explicit function. 相似文献

In some recent papers we have been pursuing regularity results up to the boundary, in W2,l(Ω) spaces for the velocity, and in W1,l(Ω) spaces for the pressure, for fluid flows with shear dependent viscosity. To fix ideas, we assume the classical non-slip boundary condition. From the mathematical point of view it is appropriate to distinguish between the shear thickening case, p>2, and the shear thinning case, p<2, and between flat-boundaries and smooth, arbitrary, boundaries. The p<2 non-flat boundary case is still open. The aim of this work is to extend to smooth boundaries the results proved in reference [H. Beirão da Veiga, On non-Newtonian p-fluids. The pseudo-plastic case, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 344 (1) (2008) 175-185]. This is done here by appealing to a quite general method, introduced in reference [H. Beirão da Veiga, On the Ladyzhenskaya-Smagorinsky turbulence model of the Navier-Stokes equations in smooth domains. The regularity problem, J. Eur. Math. This paper deals with functional linear regression for spatial data. We study the asymptotic properties of an estimator of a linear model where a spatial scalar response variable is related to a spatial functional explanatory variable and to its derivative. The existence problem for attractors of foliations with transverse linear connection is investigated. In general foliations with transverse linear connection do not admit attractors. Sufficient conditions are found for the existence of a global attractor that is a minimal set. An application to transversely similar pseudo-Riemannian foliations is obtained.
