The interaction of lanthanide(III) ions with two N3O3-macrocycles, L1 and L2, derived from 2,6-bis(2-formylphenoxymethyl)pyridine and 1,2-diaminoethane has been investigated. Schiff-base macrocyclic lanthanide(III) complexes LnL1(NO3)3 · xH2O (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu or Lu) have been prepared by direct reaction of L1 and the appropriate hydrated lanthanide nitrate. The direct reaction between the diamine macrocycle L2 and the hydrated lanthanide(III) nitrates yields complexes LnL2(NO3)3· H2O only for Ln = Dy or Lu. The reduction of the Schiff-base macrocycle decreases the complexation capacity of the ligand towards the Ln(III) ions. The complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis, molar conductivity data, FAB mass spectrometry, IR and, in the case of the lutetium complexes, 1H NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Summary The electrochemical behaviour of a series of mononuclear and dinuclear complexes of dioxouranium(VI), nickel(II) and copper(II) ions with the Schiff base, H4fsalacen, derived from the condensation of 3-formylsalicylic acid and 1,2-diaminoethane, is reported. The potentially hexadentate compartmental ligand H4fsalacen has an outer O2O2 and an inner N2O2 coordination site. The redox properties of the metal ions in these two different and adjacent chambers have been investigated and compared with those of the analogous complexes with the ligand H4 aapen, obtained by reaction ofo-acetoacetylphenol and 1,2-diaminoethane.A preliminary report was presented at the 1st International Conference on the Chemistry and Technology of the Lanthanides and Actinides, Venice, 5 September, 1983, Italy.  相似文献

A new heterocyclic compound, N-(5-benzoyl-2-oxo-4-phenyl-2H-pyrimidin-1-yl)-malonamic acid, was synthesized from N-aminopyrimidine-2-one and malonyldichloride. Bis-chelate complexes of the ligand were prepared from acetate/chloride salts of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Fe(III), Cr(III), and Ru(III) in methanol. The structures of the ligand and its metal complexes were characterized by microanalyses, IR, NMR, API-ES, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, and conductometric analyses. Octahedral geometry was suggested for all the complexes, in which the metal center coordinates to ONO donors of the ligand. Each ligand binds the metal using C=O, HN, and carboxylate. The cyclic voltammograms of the ligand and the complexes were also discussed. The compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi using microdilution procedure. The antimicrobial studies showed that Cu(II), Fe(III), and Ru(III) complexes exhibited good antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria with minimum inhibitory concentrations between 20 and 80 µg mL?1. However, the ligand and the complexes possess weak efficacy against Gram-negative bacterium and Candida strains. As a result, we suggest that these complexes containing pyrimidine might be a new group of antibacterial agents against Gram-positive bacteria.  相似文献

A new series of transition metal complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), and VO(IV) have been designed and synthesized from the Schiff base derived from cinnamidene-4-aminoantipyrine and 2-aminophenol by involving the carbonyl group of 4-aminoantipyrine. The structural features have been arrived from their elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, molar conduction, FAB mass, IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and ESR spectral studies. The data show that the complexes have composition of the ML2 type. The UV-Vis, magnetic susceptibility, and ESR spectral data of the complexes suggest an octahedral geometry around the central metal ion except the VO(IV) complex, which has a square-pyramidal geometry. The redox behavior of the copper and vanadyl complexes has been studied by cyclic voltammetry. The antimicrobial activity of the ligand and its complexes has been extensively studied on microorganisms such as Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus niger, and Rhizoctonia bataicola. It has been found that most of the complexes have higher activities than that of the free ligand. The nuclease activity of the above metal complexes shows that the complexes cleave DNA through redox chemistry. In the presence of H2O2, the complexes are capable of cleaving calf thymus DNA. In this study, 1,2-dihydroxyimino-3,7-di-aza-9,10-O-α-methyl benzal decane (LH2) was synthesized starting from 1,2-O-α-methyl benzal-4-aza-7-amino heptane (RNH2) and antichloroglyoxime. With this ligand, complexes were synthesized using Ni(II) and Cu(II) salts with a metal:ligand ratio of 1:2. However, the reaction of the ligand with salts of Zn(II) and Cd(II) gave products with metal:ligand ratio of 1:1. Structures of the ligand and its complexes are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, 13C- and 1H-NMR spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA).  相似文献

Reaction of N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide), C20H18F2N4O2, ( LF ), with zinc chloride and mercury(II) chloride produced different types and shapes of neutral coordination complexes, namely, dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ2N,O]zinc(II), [ZnCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 1 ), and dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ4O,N,N′,O′]mercury(II), [HgCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 2 ). The organic ligand and its metal complexes are characterized using various techniques: IR, UV–Vis and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopies, in addition to powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography and microelemental analysis. Depending upon the data from these analyses and measurements, a typical tetrahedral geometry was confirmed for zinc complex ( 1 ), in which the ZnII atom is located outside the bis(benzhydrazone) core. The HgII atom in ( 2 ) is found within the core and has a common octahedral structure. The in vitro antibacterial activities of the prepared compounds were evaluated against two different bacterial strains, i.e. gram positive Bacillus subtilis and gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The prepared compounds exhibited differentiated growth‐inhibitory activities against these two bacterial strains based on the difference in their lipophilic nature and structural features.  相似文献

A novel diazadiphosphetidine ligand derived from the reaction of 2,4‐dichloro‐1,3‐dimethyl‐1,3,2,4‐diazadiphosphetidine‐2,4‐dioxide and 2,2′‐(ethane‐1,2‐diylbis[oxy])bis(ethan‐1‐amine) and its Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) complexes have been synthesized, characterized by spectroscopic, elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, and conductivity methods, and screened for antimicrobial, DNA binding, and cleavage properties. Spectroscopic analysis and elemental analyses indicate the formula [M(H2L)Cl2] for the Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) complexes and octahedral geometry for all the complexes. The non‐electrolytic nature of the complexes in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was confirmed by their molar conductance values, which are in the range 12.32–6.73 Ω?1 cm2 mol?1. Computational studies have been carried out at the density functional theory (DFT)‐B3LYP/6‐31G(d) level of theory on the structural and spectroscopic properties of diazadiphosphetidine H2L and its binuclear Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) complexes. Six tautomers and geometrical isomers of the diazadiphosphetidine ligand were confirmed using semiempirical AM1 and DFT method from DMOL3 calculations. The copper complex had the best antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213). DNA cleavage activities of the compounds, evaluated on pBR322 DNA by agarose gel electrophoresis in the presence and absence of an oxidant (H2O2) and a free‐radical scavenger (DMSO), indicated no activity for the ligand and moderate activity for the complexes, with the copper complex cleaving pBR322 DNA more efficiently in the presence of H2O2.  相似文献

The 12- and 14-membered diazadioxo macrocyclic ligands, 1,2?:?7,8-diphenyl-6,9-diaza-3,12-dioxocyclododecane (L1) and 1,2?:?8,9-diphenyl-7,10-diaza-3,14-dioxocyclotetradecane (L2), were synthesized by condensation between o-phenylenediamine, 1,2-dibromoethane/1,3-dibromopropane, and catechol. Metal complexes [ML1Cl2] and [ML2Cl2] [M?=?Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)] were prepared by interaction of L1 or L2 with metal(II) chlorides. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR, EPR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements, and Electrospray ionization-mass spectral (ESI-MS) studies. The results of elemental analyses, ESI-MS, Job's method, and conductivity measurements confirmed the stoichiometry of ligands and their complexes while absorption bands and resonance peaks in IR and NMR spectra confirmed the formation of ligand framework around the metal ions. Stereochemistry was inferred from the UV-Vis, EPR, and magnetic moment studies.  相似文献

The [M(HL)2(H2O)2]X2 complexes were synthesized (M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn; X = CH3COO, Cl, BF4 ) that incorporate bidentately coordinated molecules of N,N-dimethylhydrazide of 4-nitrobenzoic acid (HL). The latter molecules chelate the metal atom through the carbonyl O atom and the N atom of dimethylamino group. The square-planar complexes of Cu and Ni with deprotonated form of a ligand with composition ML2 were also isolated. The synthesized complexes were studied by IR, electronic and EPR spectroscopies, and by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Three macrocyclic ligands and their complexes with copper(II) salts (with anions Cl, NO 3 , and NCS) were prepared and investigated using a combination of microanalytical analysis, melting point, molar conductance measurement, magnetic susceptibility measurement, and electronic, IR and ESR spectral studies. Ligands L1, L2, and L3 having N4, N4O2, and N4S2 core, respectively, and all the donor atoms of these ligands are bonded with Cu, which is confirmed by a seven-line pattern observed at half-field in the frozen (H2O: MeOH = 10: 1 at pH 10) solution ESR spectrum. The polycrystalline ESR data (g = 2.20–2.27, g = 2.01–2.05, and A = 120–270) of all the complexes together with the high asymmetry geometry suggest that all complexes appear to be near the static distortion (CuN4O2 and CuN4S2 chromophore geometry). The electronic spectra of the complexes involve two bands at the same intensity corresponding to a cis-distorted octahedral geometry. A common structural feature of both ligand L2 and ligand L3 is that two different donor atoms at five-membered heterocyclic aromatic ring due to this N4O2 and N4S2 chromophore form stable six-membered chelate rings with metals via these two, Cu-O and Cu-S, new interactions comparatively to the first macrocyclic ligand, which has four-membered N,N′-chelate rings. The cyclic voltammetric studies point to a two-step electron transfer indicating the reduction of the two copper atoms to copper(I), i.e., Cu(III)Cu(II) ⇄ Cu(II)Cu(I) ⇄ Cu(I)Cu(0). The molar conductance for the complexes corresponds to 1: 2 and is nonelectrolyte in nature. The magnetic moment (μeff) of the complexes lie in the range between 1.80–1.96 μB. Finally, these complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity against Aspergillus-niger of fungal strains. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Series of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes were prepared with tetradentate Schiff base ligand derived by condensation of 2‐aminophenol with dibenzoylmethane. The novel Schiff base H2L (2–2′‐((1Z,1Z’)‐(1,3‐diphenyl propane‐1,3 diylidene) bis (azanylylidene) diphenol) and its binary metal complexes were characterized by physicochemical procedures i.e. elemental analysis, FT‐IR, UV–Vis, thermal analyses (TGA/DTG), mass spectrometry, magnetic susceptibility and conductometric measurements. On the basis of these studies, an octahedral geometry for all these complexes was proposed expect Ni(II) complex which had tetrahedral geometry. Molar conductivity values revealed that the complexes were electrolytes except Mn(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes were non electrolytes. The ligand bound to the metal ions via two azomethine N and two phenolic OH as indicated from the IR and 1H NMR spectral study. The molecular and electronic structures of H2L and its zinc complex were optimized theoretically and the quantum chemical parameters were calculated. The antimicrobial activity against a number of bacterial organisms as Streptococcus pneumonia, Bacillus Subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli and fungi as Aspergillus fumigates, Syncephalastrum racemosum, Geotricum candidum and Candida albicans by disk diffusion method were screened for the Schiff base and its complexes. The Cd(II) complex has potent antimicrobial activity. Anticancer activity of the Schiff base ligand and its metal complexes were evaluated in human cancer (MCF‐7 cells viability). The Cr(III) complex exhibited higher activity than other complexes and ligand. Molecular docking was used to predict the binding between Schiff base ligand (H2L) and its Zn(II) complex and the receptors of RNA of amikacin antibiotic (4P20) and human‐DNA‐Topo I complex (1SC7). The docking study provided useful structural information for inhibition studies.  相似文献

Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the Schiff base derived from 1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane with salicylaldehyde have been prepared. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV, visible and IR spectra as well as conductance measurements. The ligand is coordinated to the central metal as a tetradentate ONNO ligand. The four bonding sites are the central azomethine nitrogen and aldehydic OH groups. The ligand was used for complexation studies. Stability constants were measured by a conductometric method. Furthermore, the stability constants for complexation between ZnCl2 and Cu(NO3)2 salts and N,N′-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane (H2L) in 80% dioxane/water and pure methanol were determined from conductance measurements. The magnitudes of these ion association constants are related to the nature of the solvation of the cation and the complexed cation. The mobilities of the complexes are also dependent, in part, upon solvation effects.  相似文献

Ionic [Pd(LH)2(ClO4)2], neutral (PdL2) complexes of Pd(II) with hetarylamines derived fromdipyridylamine and benz[c,d]indolylamine were synthesized. The 1H NMR, IR, and UV spectra of the products were studied. Irradiation of neutral Pd(II) complexes with N-derivatives of benz[c,d]indolylamine results in ligand elimination. Photolysis of a neutral Pd(II) complex with 3,5-dichloro-2,2'-dipyridylamine in solution results in ligand cyclization to give 8-chlorodipyrido[1,2-a:2',3'-d]imidazole.  相似文献

Linkage isomers trans-bis(N-propyl-1,2-diaminoethane)dinitronickel(II) (brown, 1), trans-bis(N-isopropyl-1,2-diaminoethane)dinitritonickel(II) (blue-violet, 2a) and trans-bis(N-isopropyl-1,2-diaminoethane)dinitronickel(II) (brown, 2b) have been synthesized from solution and X-ray single crystal structure analysis of complex (1) has been performed. Simultaneous TG-DTA analyses reveal that complex (1) exhibits two successive phase transitions before to undergo decomposition (initial temperature of decomposition, Ti = 215 °C). The first one is reversible (82–98 °C; ΔH = 1.75 kJ mol−1 for heating and 93–77 °C; ΔH = −1.65 kJ mol−1 for cooling) and the second one is irreversible endothermic (135–150 °C kJ mol−1; ΔH = 1.80 kJ mol−1) phase transition. No visual color changes are observed in any of the two transitions. The causes related to the first phase transition remain unexplored. However, on the basis of IR spectral studies the second phase transition is supposed to be due to conformational changes of the diamine chelate rings. On the other hand, complexes (2a) and (2b) undergo decomposition without showing any phase transition [Ti = 185 and 195 °C for (2a) and (2b), respectively].  相似文献

A new heterocyclic compound N-(5-benzoyl-2-oxo-4-phenyl-2H-pyrimidin-1-yl)-oxalamic acid has been synthesized from N-amino pyrimidine-2-one and oxalylchloride. Bis-chelate complexes of the ligand were prepared from acetate/chloride salts of Cu(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pd(II) in methanol. The structures of the ligand and its metal complexes were characterized by microanalyses, IR, AAS, NMR, API-ES, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, and thermogravimetric analyses. An octahedral geometry has been suggested for all the complexes, except for Pd(II) complex, in which the metal center is square planar. Each ligand binds using C(2)=O, HN, and carboxylate. The cyclic voltammograms of the ligand and the complexes are also discussed. The new synthesized compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial activities against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and fungi using the microdilution procedure. The Cu(II) complex displayed selective and effective antibacterial activity against one Gram-positive spore-forming bacterium (Bacillus cereus ATCC 7064), two Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and S. aureus ATCC 25923) at 40–80 µg mL?1, but poor activity against Candida species. The Cu(II) complex might be a new antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria.  相似文献

Abstract

Reaction of two equivalents of N-mono- or di-substituted 3-amino-4-(n-butoxy)-3-cyclobutene-1,2-diones with a 1,2-diaminoethane gave N-mono- or di-substituted 1,2-bis((2-amino-1-cyclobutene-3,4-dione)amino)-ethane derivatives (bis(squaramides)). Reaction of the bis(squaramides) with excess P4S10 gave the analogous tetrathio derivatives (bis(dithiosquaramides), LH2) of formula (NR1R2)C4S2(NHCH2CH2NH)-C4S2(NR1R2) (R1=n-Bu, R2=H; R1=R2=Et, n-Bu). The new bis(dithiosquaramide) ligands were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, electronic, and mass spectroscopic methods. The complexes of these ligands with nickel(II) were prepared, isolated and characterized. The isolated complexes are neutral 2:2 species of formula Ni2L2, as evidenced by results from mass spectrometry, and they exhibit thermochromic behaviour in pyridine solution. Additional spectroscopic data (IR, NMR) are consistent with the ligands being coordinated only through sulfur donor atoms and a structure for the complexes is proposed.  相似文献

The tetradentate-ligand Schiff base derived from salicylaldehyde and 1,2-diaminoethane has been synthesized. The stability constants and thermodynamic values for the complexation between ZnCl2, Cu(NO3)2, and AgNO3 salts and the ligand in 80% dioxane-water were determined by conductance measurements. The order of the formation constant for complexes of the ligand with Cu(II), Zn(II), and Ag(I) ions was found to be: Ag(I) < Cu(II) < Zn(II). The magnitudes of these ion association constants are related to the nature of the solvation of the cation and the complexed cation. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Nanocavity microreactor containing 15- and 16-membered diaza dioxa Schiff-base cobalt(II) complexes “[Co(Et[15]N2O2)]2+, [Co(Pr[16]N2O2)]2+, [Co(Ph[15]N2O2)]2+ and [Co(Ch[15]N2O2)]2+” have been prepared by the template synthesis of diamine (1,2-diaminoethane, 1,3-diaminopropane, 1,2-diaminobenzene or 1,2-diaminocyclohexane) with [(1,3-bis(2-carboxyaldehydephenoxy)propane)cobalt]2+;[Co(BCAPP)]2+@NaY within the pores of zeolite-Y. The nanosized cobalt(II) complex were entrapped in the supercage of Y-zeolite by a three-step process in the liquid phase: (i) exchange of Co(II) ions with NaY in water solution, (ii) reaction of Co(II)–NaY with excess BCAPP in methanol; [Co(BCAPP)]2+@NaY; (iii) template synthesis of [Co(BCAPP)]2+@NaY with diamine. The new nanosized complex entrapped in the nanocavity of zeolite Y was characterized by several techniques: chemical analysis and spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, UV–Vis, XRD, BET, DRS, XPS, TGA).  相似文献

Synthesis, characterization and biological studies of some thiodiamine metal complexes are described. Cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes of type [Cu(L)2Cl2] and [Co(L)2SO4], where L = (cyclohexyl-N-thio)-1,2-ethylenediamine (L1) and (cyclohexyl-N-thio)-1,3-propanediamine (L2), were synthesized. The synthesized copper and cobalt thiodiamine complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, mass, UV-VIS and 1H NMR spectroscopic studies. Thiodiamines coordinate as a bidentate N-S ligand. The binding sites are azomethine nitrogen and thioamide sulfur. Molar conductance values in dimethylsulfoxide indicate non-electrolyte nature of the complexes. In vitro-antimicrobial screening shows promising results against both bacterial and fungal strains.  相似文献

New pentadentate binucleating ligands containing phenoxide as an endogenous bridging group, 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol bis(carbohydrazone) (L1H), and 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol bis(semicarbazone) (L2H), and their binuclear Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of general formula [M2LCl3] · nH2O with chloride as an exogenous bridge have been synthesized. The complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, thermal analysis, IR, Far-IR, NMR, UV–Vis, EPR, FAB-mass and magnetic data. The coordination mode (N4O, N2O3), as well as endogenous phenoxide bridge and an exogenous chloride bridge have been established on the basis of IR, Far-IR and 1H-NMR spectral data. Electronic spectral data of the complexes indicate square-pyramidal geometry. EPR spectra show line broadening, which is further supported by weak antiferromagnetic interaction from the room temperature magnetic moment data. All compounds show appreciable antimicrobial activity.  相似文献
