We study the entanglement effect of beam splitter on the temporally stable phase states. Specifically, we consider the eigenstates (phase states) of a unitary phase operator resulting from the polar decomposition of ladder operators of generalized Weyl-Heisenberg algebras possessing finite dimensional representation space. The linear entropy that measures the degree of entanglement at the output of the beam splitter is analytically obtained. We find that the entanglement is not only strongly dependent on the Hilbert space dimension but also quite related to strength the parameter ensuring the temporal stability of the phase states. Finally, we discuss the evolution of the entangled phase states. 相似文献

In this paper, we derive an explicit analytic expression of the
relative entropy between two general Gaussian states. In the
restriction of the set for Gaussian states and with the help of
relative entropy formula and Peres--Simon separability criterion,
one can conveniently obtain the relative entropy entanglement for
Gaussian states. As an example, the relative entanglement for a

In bosonic fields, Gaussian states, which consist of a rather wide family of states including coherent states, squeezed states, thermal states, etc., have many classical-like features, and are usually defined from the mathematical perspective in terms of characteristic functions. It is well known that some special Gaussian states, such as coherent states, are minimum uncertainty states for the conventional Heisenberg uncertainty relation involving canonical pair of position and momentum observables. A natural question arises as whether all Gaussian states can be characterized as minimum uncertainty states. In this work, we show that indeed Gaussian states coincide with minimum uncertainty states for an information-theoretic refinement of the conventional uncertainty relation established in Luo (2005) [40]. This characterization puts Gaussian states on a novel basis of physical significance. 相似文献

Quantum entanglement and nonlocality properties of a family of
two-mode Gaussian pure states have been investigated. The results
show that the entanglement of these states is determined by both the
two-mode squeezing parameter and the difference of the two
single-mode squeezing parameters. For the same two-mode squeezing
parameter, these states show larger entanglement than the usual
two-mode squeezed vacuum state. The violation of Bell inequality
depends strongly on all the squeezing parameters of these states and
disappears completely in the limit of large squeezing. In
particular, these states can exhibit much stronger violation of
local realism than two-mode squeezed vacuum state in the range of

We introduce a new entangled quantum state generated by applying single-mode coherent superposition of photon subtraction and addition (a† cos θ + a sin θ)m to the entangled coherent state |Ψ±(α,0)〉, and then investigate the entanglement properties affected by coherent superposition operation. It is shown that this operation can be applied to enhance the entanglement of the state |Ψ+(α,0)〉. In addition, the effects of the coherent operation is better to improve the entanglement than that of the creation operation (a†m) for |Ψ+(α,0)〉 in a small-amplitude regime and for |Ψ−(α,0)〉 in any regime. 相似文献

We demonstrate experimentally the simultaneous generation and detection of two types of continuous variable nonclassical states from one type-0 phase-matching optical parametric amplification (OPA) and subsequent two ring filter cavities (RFCs). The output field of the OPA includes the baseband ω0 and sideband modes ω0±nωfsubjects to the cavity resonance condition, which are separated by two cascaded RFCs. The first RFC resonates with half the pump wavelength ω0 and the transmitted baseband component is a squeezed state. The reflected fields of the first RFC, including the sideband modes ω0±ωf, are separated by the second RFC, construct Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen entangled state. All freedoms, including the filter cavities for sideband separation and relative phases for the measurements of these sidebands, are actively stabilized. The noise variance of squeezed states is 10.2 dB below the shot noise limit (SNL), the correlation variances of both quadrature amplitude-sum and quadrature phase-difference for the entanglement state are 10.0 dB below the corresponding SNL. 相似文献

The entanglement properties are investigated based on linear entropy, and nonclassicalities are examined of output fields from a beam splitter for pure binomial state inputs. It is shown that the properties of the entanglement and the photon statistics of output fields are not only strongly dependent on the parameters of input binomial states but also quite involved with the nature of the beam splitter. The best entanglement can be obtained when the parameters of both input states and the beam splitter are chosen appropriately. Finally, we analyse briefly the distinguishability between the joint input state and the joint output state. 相似文献

For the beam splitter attack strategy against quantum key distribution using two-mode squeezed states, the analytical expression of the optimal beam splitter parameter is provided in this paper by applying the Shannon information theory. The theoretical secret information rate after error correction and privacy amplification is given in terms of the squeezed parameter and channel parameters. 多组份纠缠是量子信息处理的重要资源,它的产生通常涉及到许多复杂的线性和非线性过程.本文从理论上提出了一种利用两个独立的四波混频过程和线性分束器产生真正的四组份纠缠的方案,其中,线性分束器的作用是将两个独立的四波混频过程联系起来.首先应用部分转置正定判据研究了强度增益对四组份纠缠的影响,结果表明,在整个增益区域内都存在真正的四组份纠缠,并且随着强度增益的增加,纠缠也在增强.然后研究了线性分束器的透射率对四组份纠缠的影响,发现只要线性分束器的透射率不为0或1,该系统也可以产生真正的四组份纠缠.最后,通过研究该系统可能存在的三组份纠缠和两组份纠缠来揭示该系统的纠缠结构.本文理论结果为实验上利用原子系综四波混频过程产生真正的四组份纠缠提供了可靠的方案. 相似文献

Based on the angular spectrum representation of an arbitrary electromagnetic beam and the method of stationary phase, an analytically vectorial structure of a Gaussian beam diffracted by a phase aperture has been derived in the far-field. Moreover, the derivation is performed without any approximation. The analytical expressions of the energy flux of the TE term, the TM term, and the apertured Gaussian beam are also presented in the far-field, respectively. In Li and Luo(2007 Phys. Rev. A 76 032327), the inequality(1/2)T≥ Q was identified as a fundamental postulate for a consistent theory of quantum versus classical correlations for arbitrary measures of total T and quantum Q correlations in bipartite quantum states. Besides, Hayden et al(2006 Commun. Math. Phys. 265 95) have conjectured that, in some conditions within systems endowed with infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces, quantum correlations may dominate not only half of total correlations but total correlations itself. Here, in a two-mode Gaussian state,quantifying T and Q respectively by the quantum mutual information I~G and the entanglement of formation(EoF) ε_F~G, we verify that ε_(F,R)~G,is always less than(1/2) I_R~G when I~G and ε_F~G are defined via the Rényi-2 entropy. While via the von Neumann entropy, ε_(F,V)~G,may even dominate I_V~G itself,which partly consolidates the Hayden conjecture, and partly, provides strong evidence hinting that the origin of this counterintuitive behavior should intrinsically be related to the von Neumann entropy by which the EoF ε_(F,V)~G,is defined, rather than related to the conceptual definition of the EoF ε_F. The obtained results show that—in the special case of mixed two-mode Gaussian states—quantum entanglement can be faithfully quantified by the Gaussian Rényi-2 EoF ε_(F,R)~G,. 相似文献

We have presented an investigation of the induced focusing in Kerr media of two laser beams, the pump beam and the probe beam,
which could be either Gaussian or elliptic Gaussian or a combination of the two. We have used variational formalism to derive
relevant beam-width equations. Among several important findings, the finding that a very week probe beam can be guided and
focused when power of both beams are well below their individual threshold for self-focusing, is a noteworthy one. It has
been found that induced focusing is not possible for laser beams of any wavelength and beam radius. In case both beams are
elliptic Gaussian, we have shown that when power of both beams is above a certain threshold value then the effective radius
of both beams collapses and collapse distance depends on power. Moreover, it has been found that induced focusing can be employed

Maximal entanglement from photon-added nonlinear coherent states via unitary beam splitters 下载免费PDF全文
In this paper, we construct photon-added f-deformed coherent states (PAf-DCSs) for nonlinear bosonic fields by discussing Klauder's minimal set of conditions required to obtain coherent states. Using this set of nonlinear states, we propose a very useful scheme for generating the maximal amount of entanglement via unitary beam splitters for different strength regimes of the input field α, deformation q and excitation number m. Therefore, the possibility to create highly entangled states and to control the entanglement is proposed. Moreover, the condition for a maximal and separable output beam state is obtained. Finally, we examine the statistical properties of the PAf-DCSs through the Mandel parameter and exploit a connection between this quantity and the behavior variation of the output state entanglement. Our result may open new perspectives in different tasks of quantum information processing. 相似文献

Propagation dynamics of a two-dimensional Airy Gaussian beam and Airy Gaussian vortex beam are investigated numerically in local and nonlocal nonlinear media. The self-healing and collapse of the beam crucially depend on the distribution factor b and the topological charge m. With the aid of nonlocality, a stable Airy Gaussian beam and an Airy Gaussian vortex beam with larger amplitude can be obtained, which always collapse in local nonlinear media. When the distribution factor b is large enough, the Airy Gaussian vortex beam will transfer into quasi-vortex solitons in nonlocal nonlinear media. 相似文献
