A density functional-based method is used to investigate the structural, elastic and thermodynamic properties of the cubic spinel semiconductors MgIn2S4 and CdIn2S4 at different pressures and temperatures. Computed ground structural parameters are in good agreement with the available experimental data. Single-crystal elastic parameters are calculated for pressure up to 10 GPa and temperature up to 1200 K. The obtained elastic constants values satisfy the requirement of mechanical stability, indicating that MgIn2S4 and CdIn2S4 compounds could be stable in the investigated pressure range. Isotropic elastic parameters for ideal polycrystalline MgIn2S4 and CdIn2S4 aggregates are computed in the framework of the Voigt–Reuss–Hill approximation. Pressure and thermal effects on some macroscopic properties such as lattice constant, volume expansion coefficient and heat capacities are predicted using the quasi-harmonic Debye model in which the lattice vibrations are taken into account.  相似文献

The equations of state (EOS) and other thermodynamic properties of TiB2 are investigated using ab initio plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory method. The obtained results are in good agreement with the experimental measured data and other theoretical calculated ones. Through the quasi-harmonic Debye model, in which the phononic effects are considered, the dependences of relative volume V/V0 on pressure P, cell volume V on temperature T, and Debye temperature Θ and specific heat CV on pressure P are successfully obtained.  相似文献

以化学计量配比的Ti,B元素为原料,在高温高压条件下成功制备出颗粒均匀、致密性大于99%的二硼化钛(TiB2)体材料.物性测试结果表明:TiB2的维氏硬度高达39.6 GPa(接近超硬材料的40 GPa);并呈现出金属导电特性,电阻率在10-8 Ω.m的数量级(接近TiB2单晶样品值).TiB2的高硬度与金属特性,可能与该方法制备的TiB2体材料中均匀的细小晶粒尺寸有关.该方法为制备功能陶瓷材料提供了新的思路.  相似文献

We have performed a first-principles investigation for the family of compounds ZnGa2X4 (X = S, Se, Te). The properties of two possible structures, defect chalcopyrite and defect famatinite are both calculated. We reveal that ZnGa2S4 and ZnGa2Se4 have direct band gaps, while ZnGa2Te4 has an indirect band gap. The local density approximation band gaps are found to be very different in two structures, while the lattice parameters and bulk moduli are similar. We extend Cohen’s empirical formula for zinc-blende compounds to this family of compounds. The pressure coefficients are calculated and metallization pressures are discussed. We find that agi remains fairly constant when the group-Ⅵ element X is varied in ZnGa2X4 (Ⅱ-Ⅲ2 -Ⅵ4 ).  相似文献

The elastic and thermodynamic characteristics of OsC crystal have been predicted through a method of density functional theory within the generalized gradient approximation (GGA). Compared with WC-type OsC, NaCl-type OsC is not only energy unfavorable but also mechanics unstable. The five independent elastic constants (Cij), bulk modulus (B0), the dependence of bulk modulus on temperature and pressure as well as the thermal expansion coefficient (αV) at various temperatures for WC-type OsC are discussed. According to our calculations, WC-type OsC should be an ultra-incompressible material with high bulk modulus about 381 GPa. In addition, the bulk modulus will increase with increasing pressure while decrease with increasing temperature. The researches on the thermal expansion coefficient indicate that there will be a knee point during the process of thermal expansion coefficient variation versus increasing temperature. Our results may provide useful information for theoretical and experimental investigation of OsC.  相似文献

采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算方法研究了钙钛矿结构的BaHfO3和SrHfO3的基态性质,包括优化后的晶格常数、弹性常数、体弹性模量、剪切模量、态密度、能带结构和电荷密度.计算结果表明BaHfO3和SrHfO3具有比较大的体弹性模量,它们都是间接带隙的半导体材料,Ba或Sr原子与HfO3基团之间形成的化学键主要是离子键,而Hf原子与O原子之间形成的主要是共价键. 关键词: 第一性原理 钙钛矿结构 体弹性模量 价键  相似文献

运用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算方法研究了ZrRh的晶体结构、弹性性质和电子结构性质.结果表明:计算的B2、B19'和ZrIr结构的平衡晶格常数与相应的实验参数符合很好.从形成焓和态密度的角度来看,ZrRh的相稳定顺序是ZrIrFe BB19'B2,ZrIr结构是最稳定的.ZrIr结构的形成焓最小,说明ZrIr结构最容易生成.利用应力-应变的方法计算了ZrRh的弹性常数,表明B2、FeB和ZrIr结构是力学稳定的.B/G和泊松比均表明ZrRh具有很好的延展性.对ZrRh的态密度研究发现,增强的Rh4d态与Zr4d态杂化作用是ZrIr结构稳定的主要原因.  相似文献

This paper studies the equilibrium structure parameters and the dependences of the elastic properties on pressure for rutile TiO2 by using the Cambridge Serial Total Energy Package (CASTEP) program in the frame of density functional theory. The obtained equilibrium structure parameters, bulk modulus B0 and its pressure derivative B′0 are in good agreement with experiments and the theoretical results. The six independent elastic constants of rutile TiO2 under pressure are theoretically investigated for the first time. It is found that, as pressure increases, the elastic constants C11, C33, C66, C12 and C13 increase, The variation of elastic constant C44 is not obvious and the anisotropy will weaken.  相似文献

高温压电晶体是许多机电器件必需的一种多功能材料, Ga3PO7晶体的居里温度高达1364 ℃, 可应用于高温极限条件. 但是预测高温极限条件下晶体的结构以及物理性质的问题采用实验研究的手段非常困难, 而理论上的预测未见研究. 本文采用密度泛函-准谐振近似理论计算了温度在0-1200 ℃范围内Ga3PO7 晶体的结构常数和热学性质, 结果表明Ga3PO7晶体的晶格常数a和c随温度的升高呈线性增大, 且c方向受温度影响更为显著; 晶体的密度随温度的升高而减小, 计算的a 和c方向平均热膨胀系数分别为1.67×10-6 K-1和3.58×10-6 K-1, 高温区定压热容为2.067 J/g·K, 与实验值一致. 计算了从常温到高温下该晶体的弹性常数以及体弹性模量的变化, 研究了高温条件下的声表面波特性, 发现随着温度的升高, 声表面波速度浮动较小, 而机电耦合系数略有增大; 在传播角为151° 时该晶体具有较好的温度稳定性且机电耦合系数达到最大值, 这表明Ga3PO7 晶体是一种有望应用于高温环境下的压电晶体.  相似文献

在第一性原理框架下,采用赝势平面波方法研究了三种Mg2Si同质异相体的晶胞结构、电子结构和弹性性质随压强的变化关系.研究发现,反萤石结构Mg2Si、反氯铅矿结构Mg2Si和Ni2In型Mg2Si分别在压强为0-7 GPa,7.5-20.2 GPa和21.9-40 GPa范围内能够保持结构稳定.计算获得了不同压强下Mg2Si的弹性常数、体模量、剪切模量、杨氏模量、泊松比和各向异 关键词: 态密度 电子结构 弹性常数 第一性原理  相似文献

In this work, we study elastic and thermodynamic properties of VH2 at different pressures and temperatures. Elastic constants and bulk modulus of VH2 decrease with increase in temperature, and hence increase with pressure. Thermal expansion of the crystal lattice will be suppressed by high pressure. When the temperature is 1500 K, 15.99 GPa of pressure can completely restrain the volume expansion caused by temperature. At a given pressure, the lower the temperature, the easier the cell compression. At low temperatures, Cv is proportional to T3, and Cv tends to the Dulong-Petit limit at higher temperatures. The Debye temperature increases with pressure, but decreases with temperature. At low temperature and low pressure, thermal expansion coefficient increases sharply with temperature. At high temperature and high pressure, the increasing trend slows down.  相似文献

The structural parameters, elastic constants, thermodynamic properties of Imm2-BN under high pressure were calculated via the density functional theory in combination with quasi-harmonic Debye approach. The results showed that the pressure has the significant effect on the equilibrium lattice parameters, elastic and thermodynamic properties of Imm2-BN. The obtained ground state structural parameters are in good agreement with previous theoretical results. The elastic constants, elastic modulus, and elastic anisotropy were determined in the pressure range of 0–90?GPa. Furthermore, by analyzing the B/G ratio, the brittle/ductile behavior under high pressure is evaluated and the elastic anisotropy of the Imm2-BN up to 90?GPa is studied in detail. Moreover, the pressure and temperature dependence of thermal expansion coefficient, heat capacity, Debye temperature, and Grüneisen parameter are predicted in a wide pressure (0–90?GPa) and temperature (0–1600?K) ranges. The obtained results are expected to provide helpful guidance for the future synthesis and application of Imm2-BN.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论中的赝势平面波方法研究了高压下超导材料 ErNi2B2C 的弹性性质、电子结构和热力学性质.分析表明, 弹性常数、体弹模量、剪切模量、杨氏模量和弹性各向异性因子的外压力效应明显. 电子态密度(DOS)的计算结果显示, 在费米能级(EF)处的 DOS 峰随外界压强的增大显著降低, 由于 ErNi2B2C 相对较高的超导温度(Tc)起因于EF处的 DOS 峰, 因此推测压强增大可能会降低 ErNi2B2C 的 Tc.类似的现象在超导材料 MgB2和 SrAlSi 中已被发现.此外, 基于准谐德拜模型, 对 ErNi2B2C 在高温高压下的热力学性质的研究表明, 在一定范围内, 温度和压强将对其热膨胀系数和热容产生明显的影响. 关键词: 高压 弹性性质 电子结构 热力学性质  相似文献

We have investigated structural and elastic properties of PtN2 under high pressures using norm-conserving pseudopotentials within the local density approximation (LDA) in the frame of density-functional theory. Calculated results of PtN2 are in agreement with experimental and available theoretical values. The a/a0, V/V0, ductility/brittleness, elastic constants Cij, shear modulus C′, bulk modulus B, shear modulus G, Young's modulus E, Poisson's ratio σ and anisotropy factor A as a function of applied pressure are presented. Through the quasi-harmonic Debye model, we also study thermodynamic properties of PtN2. The thermal expansion versus temperature and pressure, thermodynamic parameters X (X=Debye temperature or specific heat) with varying pressure P, and heat capacity of PtN2 at various pressures and temperatures are estimated.  相似文献

The elastic, phonon and thermodynamic properties of the divalent alkaline-earth hexaboride SrB6 are investigated by using plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory method. The calculated structure parameters and bulk modulus are well consistent with the available experiment and theoretical data. The pressure dependences of elastic constants Cij, bulk modulus B0, shear modulus G, Young's modulus E and Poisson's ratio σ are also presented. With these elastic parameters, we investigate the mechanical stability and compressibility of SrB6. For the thermodynamic properties, both phonon and quasi-harmonic Debye model methods are adopted. Through the comparison with experimental and other theoretical results, we found the method of quasi-harmonic Debye model is a little better. Moreover, the phonon dispersion relations are also obtained. It is found that there are two LO/TO splitting around 5 THz and 26 THz, respectively.  相似文献

A first principles study of the electronic properties and bulk modulus (B0) of the fcc and bcc transition metals, transition metal carbides and nitrides is presented. The calculations were performed by plane-wave pseudopotential method in the framework of the density functional theory with local density approximation. The density of states and the valence charge densities of these solids are plotted. The results show that B0 does not vary monotonically when the number of the valence d electrons increases. B0 reaches a maximum and then decreases for each of the four sorts of solids. It is related to the occupation of the bonding and anti-bonding states in the solid. The value of the valence charge density at the midpoint between the two nearest metal atoms tends to be proportional to B0.  相似文献

采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算研究了Zn2GeO4晶体在高压下的电子结构和带隙变化行为. 研究结果发现, 随着压强的增加, Zn2GeO4 能带间隙先变大, 在压强为9.7 GPa时达到最大值, 然后减小. 通过电子态密度、电荷布居数和电子差分密度分布图的研究分析可知:在低压区域(0< P< 9.7 GPa), 带隙的变大主要是由于原子间距离的减小造成的共价性增强和Ge原子随压强的变大局域性增强引起的; 在高压区域(P>9.7 GPa), 则是出现了离域现象, 诱发了离域电子的产生, 从而使带隙减小.  相似文献

We investigate the structural and thermodynamic properties of OsN2 by a plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory method. The obtained lattice constant,bulk modulus and cell volume per unit formula are consistent with the available theoretical data. Moreover,the pressure-induced phase transition of OsN2 from pyrite structure to fluorite structure has been obtained. It is found that the transition pressure of OsN2 at zero temperature is 67.2 GPa. The bulk modulus B as well as other thermodynamic quantities of fluorite OsN2 (including the Gru¨neisen constant γ and thermal expansion α) on temperatures and pressures have also been obtained.  相似文献

采用自旋极化密度泛函理论(DFT)并结合周期平板模型的方法,研究了NH3在TaC表面的吸附和分解反应机理.表面能计算结果显示,以Ta为终止的TaC(0001)面为最稳定的表面;NH3分子通过其孤对电子优先吸附在顶位top位,而NH2和H最稳定吸附位置为三重hcp位,NH和N吸附在三重fcc位.过渡态结果表明氮原子的复合反应脱附为整个反应的限速步骤.电子结构计算结果表明,NH3分子及其片段通过其N原子的2pz轨道与底物Ta的5dz2轨道混合吸附于表面.随着脱氢反应的进行,电荷转移现象变得逐渐明显,吸附质和底物之间的电荷转移在加速NH3脱氢催化过程中发挥重要作用.  相似文献

利用第一性原理平面波赝势密度泛函理论, 并结合准谐德拜模型, 计算了立方萤石结构ErH2在不同温度和压强下的体积、热膨胀系数、体弹模量和等体热容等弹性性质及热力学性质。在温度高于1 100 K的条件下,计算出的等体热容趋近于Dulong-Petit极限。得到了绝对零度、零压强下ErH2的该结构的晶格常数为0.523 2 nm,与实验值0.523 0 nm非常接近。由不同的原胞体积得出了该体系的单点能与原胞体积的关系的数据;从计算出的高压下的弹性常数,根据立方晶系的力学稳定性条件,推断出立方萤石结构ErH2的相变压力约为20 GPa。  相似文献
