Elastic scattering and evaporation residues have been measured for the system 32S + 27Al at Ec.m. = 66.4, 73.2 MeV and 32S + 48Ti at Ec.m. = 96.0 MeV. Reaction cross sections have been obtained by use of the optical theorem and are found to be about 60 % larger than the fusion cross sections.  相似文献

Velocity spectra of fusion-like residues produced in the reactions of 90 MeV and 150 MeV 16O with 27Al were measured. At 90 MeV the velocity spectra were well reproduced by a statistical model calculation. At 150 MeV the observed centroids of the velocity spectra deviate from the statistical model predictions. The centroid shifts as a function of the atomic and mass numbers of evaporation residues were analyzed by two different model calculations based on the assumption that incomplete fusion is (a) a peripheral process, or (b) independent on the angular momentum of the entrance channel, respectively. The later assumption is in better agreement with the presented data.  相似文献

The 26Mg(d, n)27Al reaction has been studied at 6 and 8 MeV deuteron bombarding energies using the time-of-flight technique for neutron detection. The good neutron energy resolution of the present work permitted the determination of the excitation energy of 70 states populated by the reaction. Angular distributions of neutrons leading to 50 levels in 27Al were measured between 0° and 100°. The experimental cross sections were analysed in the framework of the DWBA and Hauser-Feshbach theories to deduce lp values and transition strengths. New spin and parity assignments were obtained for 11 levels. The agreement between the DWBA predictions and some of the measured angular distributions was improved by modifying the optical-model radii in both incoming and outgoing channels. The experimental results are compared with the corresponding data from previous studies and with Nilsson-model and recent shell-model calculations.  相似文献

Lifetimes or upper limits of 17 bound states in 27Al have been measured using the Doppler shift attenuation method applied to the 26Mg(p, γ)27 Al reaction in the proton energy range 1.4–2.2 MeV. For the effective stopping of recoils, the targets were prepared by implanting 26Mg into tantalum backings. The Monte Carlo method and the experimental stopping values were used in the DSA analysis. In the Monte Carlo simulations the scattering angles of recoiling ions were calculated directly from the Thomas-Fermi interaction potential, rather than from the LSS theory.  相似文献

Angular distributions have been measured for the 32S(16O,12C)36Ar reaction at 45.5 MeV leading to excited states between Ex, = 0 and 8 MeV. Experimental cross sections are compared with exact finite-range DWBA calculations in combination with extensive shell-model calculations, which include sd- and fp-shell configurations. Transitions to low-energy positive-parity states and bound negative-parity states are well reproduced. The calculations, however, fail to describe some high-energy positive-parity states. Calculations with a complete cluster expansion for the four transferred nucleons give about 50% larger cross sections, but can not explain the observed discrepancies. Possible interference of reaction processes other than direct α-transfer and special structure effects are discussed.  相似文献

The static quadrupole moment and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) value for the first excited state of 32S were measured using the reorientation effect in Coulomb excitation of 32S projectiles. Silicon surface barrier detectors were used to detect 32S ions scattered from 208Pb at mean laboratory angles of 90° and 174°, for bombarding energies in the range 122 to 160 MeV. The results for constructive (destructive) interference from the second 2+ state in 32S are QP2+ = ?16.0±2.2 (?13.3±2.2) e·fd2 and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) = 292±17 (307±17) e2·fm4  相似文献

The 27Al(t, p)29Al reaction was studied at an incident energy of Et = 15 MeV. Proton angular distributions were measured for the first 23 low-lying states. Comparisons of the data to DWBA calculations based on cluster-model and pure-configuration form factors were made which provided decompositions of the angular distributions into contributing L-values. Comparisons were also made to DWBA predictions based on microscopic amplitudes from a complete, sd-basis shell-model calculation.  相似文献

Masses and charges of all the nuclei with 5 ≦ Z ≦ 20 produced in the reaction 40Ar + 58Ni have been identified using combined ΔE · E and time-of-flight techniques. Energy spectra, angular distributions and cross sections have been measured. The formation of an intermediate composite system, in which charge equilibrium is achieved, is discussed. Also, the transition between the quasi-elastic and the deep inelastic process is studied. The angular distribution behaviour is shown to be related to the interaction time. The total cross section of the deep inelastic process has been found to be 700 mb and is compared to the evaporation residue cross section.  相似文献

Cross sections have been measured for the scattering of electrons through 180° from Mg, Al and Si targets in the energy range 35 to 95 MeV. Scattering from the magnetization distribution of 27Al is observed as the difference of the scattering from 27Al and from the neighbouring doubly even nuclei Mg and Si. Corrections have been applied for differences in instrumental effects and in rms charge radii. Theoretical magnetic cross sections have been computed with a single-particle wave function and with a shell-model wave function involving configuration mixing. If the distorted-wave Born approximation is used, good agreement with experiment is obtained. In both cases the best fit to the data yields a value of the oscillator range parameter b = 1.71 ± 0.06 fm. Using the q-dependence of the single-particle model a value Ω = 18.7 ± 3.5 μN · fm2 for the magnetic octupole moment of 27Al is found. The present low-energy (E < 100 MeV) data are in good agreement with the results obtained from the scattering of high-energy (E = 500 MeV) electrons from 27Al through “normal” angles.  相似文献

The reactions induced by 38 MeV 19F on 27Al have been studied using the Tandem Van de Graaff accelerator at Harwell together with a mass identification system based on a combination of a Buechner magnetic spectrograph and position sensitive silicon detectors in the focal plane of the magnet. Comparison of the elastic scattering measurements with Coulomb cross sections provided an absolute normalisation to the measured reaction yields. Transfer reactions were measured as a function of emitted particle energy and angle for single nucleon pick-up and stripping and for 2, 3 and 4 particle stripping. Essential features of the experimental technique are outlined and the experimental results are presented. The significance of the energy spectra and angular distributions are discussed. The results of DWBA analyses of one-nucleon transfer reactions yield spectroscopic factors for levels in 28Si, 28Al and 26Al which are in fair agreement with those obtained in other studies.  相似文献

The polarization of 21 MeV 3He elastically scattered from 27Al and 28Si has been measured in an angular range of θlab = 25°–55°. Differential cross-section data have been obtained out to angles of approximately 100°. The small values observed in the polarization distributions differ somewhat from optical-model predictions based on fits to the differential cross-section data and cannot be used to obtain significant information about the optical-model spin-orbit potential. It is concluded that statistically significant, non-zero 3He polarization measurements will not be possible using traditional double scattering techniques for 3He energies ≦ 27 MeV and targets of Z ≧ 13.  相似文献

The α-transfer reactions 27Al(6Li, d)31P, 29Si(6Li, d)33S and 31P(6Li, d)35Cl have been studied at a 6Li energy of 36 MeV. Absolute cross sections and angular distributions have been measured and an exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation analysis assuming a direct cluster transfer has been used to extract from the data α-particle spectroscopic strengths for levels populated in 31P, 33S and 35Cl in the three reactions respectively. The results show that in the case of most of the low-lying excited states of 31P, a single value of L of the transferred α-particle contributes, though a multiplicity of L-values are allowed by angular momentum selection rules. It is also found that the α-particle spectroscopic strength of the ground state of 31P is a factor of 2 more than the strengths of the ground states of 33S and 35Cl. The α-spectroscopic strengths of ground states of these, as well as other odd-A s-d shell nuclei, are compared with the presently available shell model calculations.  相似文献

Results from a CCBA analysis of the 28Si(d, 3He)27Al reaction are reported. The transfers are assumed to occur between dominant components of (λμ) symmetry (0, 12) and (2, 10) in the initial and final nuclear eigenstates respectively. The results show that cross sections to four of the six levels observed below 3 MeV can be fairly well reproduced within a pure K(J) band framework. However, consistent with electromagnetic results, all six levels can be fit if the K(J) band purity of the analysis, SU(3) model. 52+(ground and 2.73 MeV) states and 92+(3.00 MeV) state is abandoned.  相似文献

The elastic scattering angular distributions for 7Li + 25Mg and 7Li + 27Al were measured at E(7Li) = 89 MeV over angular ranges of 8–55° c.m. and 8–64° c.m. Previously published measurements for 24, 26Mg at 89 MeV and 24Mg at 34 MeV are reanalyzed. The cross sections were analysed using a 6-parameter phenomenological Saxon-Woods potential. No discrete ambiguities were found but the usual continuous ambiguities exist. The data were also analysed with double folded real potentials generated using the M3Y effective interaction. The folded potential must be multiplied by about 0.6 to fit the data. The extent to which 7Li optical-model potentials are determined and suggestions for further work on the normalization of the folded potential are discussed.  相似文献

The 24Mg(12C,α)32S reaction was investigated in the energy range Ec.m. = 11.9–19.4 MeV by measuring excitation functions of the α0 and α1 groups. Angular distributions (θc.m. = 12–97°) were also measured at a number of energies. The excitation functions were subjected to a statistical analysis by means of evaluating correlation and deviation functions; no statistically significant anomalies were found. The α0 angular distributions display fairly high angular-momentum selectivity as pairs of Legendre polynomials provide acceptable fits to most of them: however, only one, at Ec.m. = 18.1 MeV, is strongly dominated by a single partial wave, l = 11. Excitation functions as well as angular distributions of both α0 and α1 cross sections were found to be in good qualitative agreement with Hauser-Feshbach calculations throughout the energy range studied. Thus, the analysis of the data shows that intermediate resonant structures, if present, are weak and interfere strongly with the statistical compound-nucleus background, which effectively prevents their clear observation and identification in the present study.  相似文献

The reorientation effect in Coulomb excitation has been used to measure the following static quadrupole moments: Q2 + (32S) = ?0.066 ± 0.017 b, Q2 + (34S) = 0.026 ± 0.023 b, Q2 + (204Pb) = 0.19 ± 0.14 b. Interference effects from higher excited states have been included in the analysis, with the signs of the E2 matrix elements taken from an anharmonic model. The value obtained for Q2 + (32S) is in disagreement with two previous measurements. We attribute the discrepancy to the smaller internucleon separation distances involved in the previous experiments, which can cause deviations from Coulomb excitation cross sections. The other quadrupole moments have not been measured previously. The B (E2: 0+ → 2+) measured were: 0.0305 ± 0.0016 e2 · b2(32S), 0.025 ± 0.004 e2 · b2(34S), and 0.166 ± 0.009 e2 · b2(204Pb). From the angular distribution of the de-excitation γ-rays of the Pb nuclei following recoil into vacuum, we have determined the following g-factors: ¦g2 + (204Pb)¦ < 0.08 (two standard deviations), ¦g2 + (206Pb)¦ = 0.07+ 0.07? 0.03. Our value of g2 + (206Pb) is in agreement with a previous measurement.  相似文献

The angular distributions of tritons from the (α, t) reaction on 19F, 27Al, 51V and 59Co nuclei corresponding to the (0+) ground states and (2+) excited states in the final nuclei have been measured in the angular range between 15° and 170° at α-particle energies of 25 MeV. For reactions on 27Al and 51V nuclei, the differential excitation functions have also been obtained at different angles of outgoing tritons at Eα from 20 to 25 MeV. The experimental angular distributions are analysed by the DWBA approximation on the assumption of a nucleon stripping mechanism. The analyses of the present results and the data obtained earlier for the (α, t) reaction on the 1 p shell nuclei, A ? 30, reveal that the distinguishing feature of the reaction under study is the presence of backward angle peaks in the reaction cross section, which appear to be associated with exchange processes. For the (α, t) reaction on the heavier nuclei (A > 30), the dominant mechanism is nucleon stripping.  相似文献

Using a DWBA code which exactly includes finite-range and recoil effects, calculations are shown for 12C(16O, 12O)16O, 40Ca(16O, 12C)44Ti and 40Ca(6Li, d)44Ti which seem to be in quantitative agreement with the assumption that these reactions proceed via the simple one-step transfer of an α-particle.  相似文献
