Procedures were developed for the synthesis of substituted bis(2,5-dimethyl-3-thienyl)ethenes containing the imidazol-2-one, 1,3-dioxol-2-one, or 1,3-oxazol-2-one fragments as ethene bridges. These compounds were demonstrated to exhibit the photochromic properties. The cyclic forms of some imidazolone and oxazolone photochromes possess high thermal stability. The structure of photochromic 4,5-bis(4-acetyl-2,5-dimethyl-3-thienyl)-3-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-one was established by X-ray diffraction analysis. The molecule adopts an anti-parallel conformation similar to that of perfluorocyclopentene-bridged dithienylethenes. 相似文献

Two photochromic coumarin-based dithienylethenes were synthesized by one-pot nucleophilic addition reaction of alkyne and phenol. Both diarylethenes exhibited reversible photochromism, but their conformation played an important role in their photochromic properties. The derivative with high conjugation degree showed switchable fluorescence, providing a valuable reference for design of novel photochromic diarylethenes. 相似文献

New spiro compounds of the indole, phthalazine, isobenzofuran, and benzopyran series, containing a fused benzopyranone fragment in the chromene moiety, were synthesized. Indole derivatives were found to exhibit photochromic properties under stationary conditions at 293 K. The thermal stability of merocyanine isomers sharply decreases upon introduction of electron-withdrawing nitro group into the indole fragment and fusion of a benzene ring to the chromene fragment. 相似文献

Four photochromic dithienylethene compounds, 1,2-bis(2-methyl-5-naphthalene-3-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene 1a, 1,2-bis[2-methyl-5(p-fluorophenyl)-3-thienyl]perfluorocyclopentene 2a, 1,2-bis[2-methyl-5(p-ethoxyphenyl)-3-thienyl]perfluorocyclopentene 3a, and 1,2-bis[2-methyl-5(p-N,N-dimethylaminophenyl)-3-thienyl]perfluorocyclopentene 4a were synthesized, and their optoelectronic properties, such as photochromism in solution as well as in poly-methylmethacrylate (PMMA) amorphous films, fluorescences and electrochemical properties were investigated in detail. These dithienylethenes have shown good photochromic behavior both in solution and in PMMA amorphous film. All of them exhibited relatively strong fluorescence and gave a bathochromic shift upon increasing concentration in THF. The irreversible anodic oxidation of 1a, 2a and 4a was observed by performing cyclic voltammetry experiments. 相似文献

A computer search for new photoactive compounds among indoline spiropyrans of coumarin series was carried out using DFT B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) method. Based on the data obtained, the spiropyrans containing a formylcoumarin fragment annulated to the 2H-pyran ring and possessing photochromic properties were synthesized. The structure and photochromism of these compounds were studied by 1H NMR, IR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. The introduction of a formyl group into the coumarin moiety of spiropyrans led to a bathochromic shift of the long wavelength absorption maxima of merocyanine isomers, as well as to a considerable increase in their lifetime. 相似文献

The novel photochromic liquid-crystalline polyacrylates containing a spirooxazine group were synthesized. The photochromic polymer containing (4-penta- methyleneoxy)biphenylene moiety at the 5-position of spironaphthoxazine showed nematic phase from 122.9 to 133.8°C. The photochromic polymer containing undeca- methylene instead of pentamethylene showed smectic phase from 93.1 to 169.7°C. On the other hand, the photochromic polymer containing both undecamethylene as a spacer and spironaphthoxazine-bound biphenylene moiety at 9′-position did not show any liquid crystallinity. All spirooxazine-containing liquid-crystalline polymers showed photochromism in the solid state at room temperature. Because the shape of the absorption spectra of the photochromic quenched liquid-crystalline polymer films was almost the same as those of the photochromic amorphous polymer films, the photochromic properties did not depend on the mesophase in the polymers examined. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Two spirooxazine (SO) compounds containing bromobutyl substituents on 1-position (SO1) and 9′- position (SO2) have been synthesized and characterized by 1H-NMR, IR and ESI-MS in this paper. SO1-g-PMMA and SO2-g-PMMA polymer were prepared by grafting SO1 and SO2 onto PMMA through C-Br bonding sites. Also, SOs were doped into PMMA matrix to afford SO1-d-PMMA and SO2-d-PMMA. Photochromic behaviors of these compounds have been studied. Compared with SO1, SO2 exhibited better photoresponse and slower bleaching in dichloromethane solution. Inserted into polymer films, the decoloration process of SOs were significantly retarded and it was found that the fading curves fitted a first-order equation; As regard to four polymers, 1-position grafting (SO2-g-PMMA) can cause a higher reduction degree on the thermal fading rate. 相似文献

A new photochromic spiropyran of the indoline series, containing a quinoline fragment, has been synthesized. The photochromic
properties of the spiropyran and its iodomethylate have been studied. Features of the molecular structure of the compounds
were determined by X-ray structural investigations. It was established that the pyridopyran fragments of the cations in the
crystal of the iodomethylate salt, unlike those in the crystal of the neutral spiropyran, emerge from 21-stacks, disposed jointly with I− ions, which causes their higher mobility and aids the course of reversible photoconversions on UV irradiation in solution.

A novel biindenylidenedione compound, [2,2′‐bi‐1H‐indene]‐3,3′‐bis [(4‐oxo‐4‐ferrocenylbutanoyloxy)propyl]‐3,3′‐ dihydroxy‐1,1′‐dione was synthesized and characterized fully by 1H NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis. The photochromic and photo‐induced radical properties were investigated by means of UV–vis and electron spin resonance spectroscopy, respectively. The results show that the title compound simultaneously exhibits photochromism in the solid state as well as generating stable free radicals under irradiation with 330 nm light. A series of bisthienylethenes containing imidazole and imidazolium derivatives have been prepared and the products have been characterized by means of NMR and MS.Their photochromic and fluorescent switch properties have been investigated by UV–vis absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra.The fluorescent emissions of these kinds of photochromic compounds can be simply modulated by varying the imidazole groups,which shows that these compounds may have potential application in the design of fluorescent photochromic materials. 相似文献
