In this study four coordinated complexes of zinc(II) halides with a new symmetrical bidentate Schiff base ligand (2,5-MeO-ba)2En are synthesized and characterized. The metal to ligand ratio of the complexes is found to be 1:1 with the formula of Zn((2,5-MeO-ba)2En)X2 (X = Cl (1), Br (2), I (3)). The crystal structure of the Schiff base ligand (2,5-MeO-ba)2En is determined by X-ray crystallography from single crystal data. Also, the optimized geometries of the Schiff base ligand (2,5-MeO-ba)2En and its zinc(II) complexes are calculated using the density functional theory method (B3LYP/6-31G). The obtained structural parameters of (2,5-MeO-ba)2En are in agreement with the experimental data. 相似文献

Three mercury(II) complexes, [Hg((23-MeO-ba)2en)X2] (X = I (1), Br (2) and Cl(3)), and the ligand (23-MeO-ba)2en ((23-MeO-ba)2en = N,N′-bis(2,3-dimethoxybenzylidene)-1,2-diaminoethane) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structures of 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray crystallography from single-crystal data. The metal-to-ligand ratio was found to be 1:1. The mercury(II) center in 1 and 2 has a distorted tetrahedral geometry with HgN2I2 and HgN2Br2 chromophores, respectively. The Schiff base ligand (23-MeO-ba)2en acts as a chelating ligand, coordinating via the two nitrogen atoms to the mercury(II) center, and it adopts an E,E conformation. The coordination sphere of the mercury(II) center in 1 and 2 is completed by the two I and Br atoms, respectively. In complex 1 an inter-molecular non-classical hydrogen bond of the type C-H?O was found, while in complex 2 inter- and intra-molecular non-classical hydrogen bonds of the type C-H?X (X = O and Br) were found. The 1H NMR spectra of the complexes exhibit downfield as well as upfield shifts of the free ligand resonances, reflecting changes in the ligand’s geometry during its coordination. 相似文献

Two symmetrical and asymmetrical Zn(II) complexes of a pentadentate (N5) macrocyclic Schiff-base ligands, were prepared via templated [1 + 1] cyclocondensation of 2,6-diacetylpyridine with two different amines containing piperazine moiety. The complexes have been characterized by a variety of methods including, IR, FAB mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and conductivity measurements. The crystal structure of the asymmetric complex, [ZnL1Br]ClO4 was determined by X-ray diffraction. It is shown that in the solid state the complex adopts a distorted pentagonal–pyramidal geometry, with the macrocycle in the pentagonal plane and the bromide ion in the axial position. 相似文献

Zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(MPCA)3][ZnCl4] (1) and [Zn(MPCA)3][ZnBr4] (2) (where MPCA is O-methylpyridine-2-carboximidate), were synthesized from the reaction of ZnCl2 and ZnBr2 with 2-pyridinecarbonitrile in methanol, respectively. Both complexes were thoroughly characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, differential thermal analysis and IR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR spectroscopy, and their structures have been determined by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The spectroscopic investigations and X-ray structural analysis indicated that in both complexes, the nitrile group of ligand has been methoximation in methanol solvent in the presence of zinc(II) salts. The luminescence spectra of both complexes show that the intensity of their emission bands is stronger than that of the bands for the free O-methylpyridine-2-carboximidate ligands. 相似文献

Reaction of the N-tosyl-1,2-diaminopropane or N-tosyl-1,2-diaminobenzene with salicylaldehyde forms two new asymmetric sulfonamide Schiff bases, N-[2-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)propyl]-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide (H2L1 ) and N-[2-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)phenyl]-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide (H2L2 ). Two new complexes [CuL x (H2O)] (x = 1 for 1, x = 2 for 2) constructed from H2L x have been prepared and characterized via X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, TGA, quantum chemical calculations, and photoluminescence measurements. Weak C–H ··· π, hydrogen bonds, π–π, and Cu ··· O weak interactions lead to 3-D supramolecular architecture, 1, and 1-D double chain, 2. 相似文献

By condensation of amantadine and 4-methoxysalicylaldehyde a new Schiff base HL was synthesized. A mixture of HL and zinc(II) chloride in an alcoholic medium leads to [Zn(HL)2Cl2] (1). However, the same reactants gave another different complex (ZnL2) (2) in the presence of NaOH. The two complexes were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis, molar conductance, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic system, Pī space group; each asymmetric unit consists of one zinc(II), two HL, and two chlorides. The tetra coordination of central zinc is attained by two chlorides and two oxygens from the Schiff base, forming a distorted tetrahedral geometry. Complex 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, P21/c space group; each asymmetric unit consists of one zinc(II) and two L. The tetra coordination of central zinc is attained by two nitrogens and two oxygens from the Schiff base, forming a distorted tetrahedral geometry. 相似文献

Copper(I) halide complexes having thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and phosphorescence have attracted much attention. Here, a series of four-coordinate dinuclear copper(I) halide complexes, [CuX(bpbp)]2 (bpbp = 2,2′-bis(diphenylphosphino)biphenyl, X = I (1), Br (2) and Cl (3)), were synthesized, and their molecular structures and photophysical properties were investigated. The structural analysis reveals that two copper(I) centers are bridged by two halogen ligands to form a dinuclear structure with a four-membered Cu2X2 ring. These complexes exhibit yellow to blue emission in the solid state at room temperature and have peak emission wavelengths at 575–487 nm with microsecond lifetimes (τ = 6.2–19.8 μs) and low emission quantum yields (<0.01%). The emissions of 1–3 originate from MLCT, XLCT, and IL (intraligand) transitions. Three complexes displayed good thermal stability. 相似文献

New asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine, (HL), and its nickel(II) and copper(II)
complexes with the general composition ML2 [M = Ni (1) and Cu (2)], were prepared. The ligand and the metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy.
In addition, 1H-NMR and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) were employed for characterization of ligand and metal complexes, respectively. Thermogravimetric
analysis (TGA) of the ligand and metal complexes revealed the thermal stability and decomposition pattern of the species. 相似文献

A new symmetric bidentate Schiff base N,N′-bis [(E)-3-(2-nitrophenyl)allylidene)]benzene-1,2-diamine (L) and its complexes with general formula ZnLX2 (X = chloride, bromide, iodide, thiocyanate and azide) are described. The authenticity of the ligand and complexes have been established by microanalysis, electronic, MS, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, and by molar conductivity measurements. All compounds are non-electrolytes in DMF. The analytical data confirmed that the metal to ligand ratio in the complexes is 1 : 1. The complexes have pseudotetrahedral geometry with C2V point group. 相似文献

Two new oxovanadium (IV) complexes VO(HB(pz)3)(H2B(pz)2) (1) and VO(B(pz)4)2 (2) have been obtained by the reaction of oxovanadium sulfate with the corresponding ligands KHB(pz)3, KH2B(pz)2 and KB(pz)4, respectively. The two complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis and X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group, Pca21. Complex 2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group, Pna21. In both complexes, five nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom coordinate to the vanadium atom, forming a distorted octahedral geometry (VON5). In addition, related spectra characterization, hydrogen-binding properties, structural configuration and quantum chemistry calculations are also discussed. 相似文献

A bidentate iminophenol (HL = 2-((4-methoxyphenylimino)methyl)-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol derived from condensation of 4-methoxyaniline and 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde) was mixed with divalent metal salts to form the corresponding mononuclear metal complexes [MII(L)2] (M = Co (1), Cu (2), and Zn (3)). The complexes are characterized by different spectroscopic and analytical tools. X-ray crystal structures of the complexes revealed homoleptic mononuclear complexes with MN2O2 coordination. The cobalt(II) (1) and zinc(II) (3) complexes display a pseudo-tetrahedral coordination geometry, whereas the copper(II) complex (2) exhibits a distorted square-planar coordination. The zinc(II) complex (3) emits at 460 nm with a twofold enhancement of emission with respect to the free iminophenol. 相似文献

An asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine (L–OH) was prepared. Three complexes derived from L–OH were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the appropriate ligand with an equimolar amount of metallic salt. Three complexes, Cu2(L–O?)2Cl2 (1), Ni(L–O?)2 (2) and Co(L–O?)3 (3), have been structurally characterized through elemental analysis, IR, UV spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows metal ions and ligands reacted with different proportions 1?:?1, 1?:?2 and 1?:?3, respectively, so copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(III) have different geometries. 相似文献

Three polyamine ligands of N1-(2-nitrobenzyl)-N1-(2-aminoethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine (L1), N1-(2-nitrobenzyl)-N1-(2-aminoethyl)propane-1,3-diamine (L2) and N1-(2-nitrobenzyl)-N1-(3-aminopropyl)propane-1,3-diamine (L3) were synthesized and their cyclocondensation with 2-[2-(2-formyl phenoxy)ethoxy]benzaldehyde (L4) in the presence of various metal(II) ions was examined. These reactions only in the presence of a stoichiometric amount of cadmium(II) nitrate gave the related cadmium(II) macrocyclic Schiff-base complexes. In all the other cases no cyclic complexes have been obtained and metal(II) polyamines were the only products. The complexes have been studied with IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, COSY, HMQC and microanalysis. The crystal structures of [Cd(NO3)(L5)(μ-NO3)Cd(NO3)(L5)]0.5Cd(NO3)4 (1) and [CdL5(NO3)(CH3OH)]ClO4 (2) have been also determined. 相似文献

The Zn atom in each complex is four-coordinated by one phenolate O and one imine N atoms of the Schiff base ligand and two bromide atoms, forming a tetrahedral coordination. The urease inhibitory activities of the complexes were evaluated. 相似文献

A series of new platinum(II) and platinum(IV) complexes of the type [PtII(HMI)2X] (where HMI=hexamethyleneimine, X=dichloro, sulfato, 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylato [CBDCA], oxalato, methylmalonato, or tatronato) and [PtIV(HMI)2Y2Cl2] (where Y=hydroxo, acetato, or chloro) were synthesized and characterized by infrared (IR) spectroscopy, 13C and 195Pt nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Among the complexes synthesized, [PtII(hexamethyleneimine)2(1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylato)]·H2O was examined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The slightly distorted square planar coordination environment of the platinum metal includes the amino group of the hexamethyleneimine (HMI) molecule and the oxygen atoms of the carboxylato ligand. The cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid (CBDCA) molecule adopts six-member chelating rings with platinum. Hydrogen bonding plays an important part in holding the crystal lattice together. 相似文献

In this study, the syntheses of two new Mo(VI) and Ni(II) complexes with H2L tridentate (ONO) Schiff-base ligand have been described and fully characterized by means of elemental analysis, FT–IR, electronic, 1H-NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In both complexes, the Schiff-base completely deprotonates and coordinates to the metal ion as a dianionic tridentate ligand via the donor oxygens and nitrogen atoms. The coordination numbers of Mo(VI) and Ni(II) are six and four, respectively. The DFT-B3LYP/6–31 + G (d,p) and PBEPBE/6–31 + G (d,p) calculations are carried out for the determination of the optimized structures. Frequency calculations and NBO analysis are also performed for characterization. According to the theoretical analysis of the complexes, ligand-to-metal donation is greater than back donation. NBO data revealed that the main contribution of the frontier orbitals belongs to L−2. 相似文献

Mononuclear and trinuclear zinc(II) complexes (1 and 2) with tridentate NNO Schiff-base ligands (HL1?=?N-2-pyridiylmethylidene-4-chloro-2-hydroxy-phenylamine, HL2?=?N-2-pyridiylmethylidene-2-hydroxy-5-chloro-phenylamine) have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and elemental analysis. The binding properties of zinc(II) complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) and HSA were investigated by UV–visible, fluorescence, and circular dichroism spectra. The zinc(II) complexes bind significantly to CT-DNA by intercalation and bind to protein HSA through a static quenching mechanism. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes on human tumor cells lines was assessed by 3-(4,5-dimathylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide, Hoechst 33258 staining experiments. 相似文献

Two new one-dimension copper(II) coordination polymers [CuL(2)(NCS)(2)](n) (1) and [CuL(2)(NO(3))(2)](n) (2) (L=(C(5)H(4)N)C(CH(3))=N-N=(CH(3))C(C(5)H(4)N)) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, TG technique and X-ray crystallography. Each Cu(II) atom has a distorted octahedral N(6) (1) or N(4)O(2) (2) environment with four pyridyl N atoms from four ligands and two N atoms from two NCS(-) anions for polymer 1 or two O atoms from two NO(3)(-) anions for polymer 2, respectively. A pair of bis-monodentate bridging ligands links two Cu(II) centers to form one dimension chain structure containing bimetallic 22-membered macrometallacyclic rings. 1D chain is held together with its neighboring ones via C-H?S hydrogen bonds for 1 and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, C-H?π interactions for 2 to form a 3D supramolecular structure, respectively. The luminescent properties of the polymers 1 and 2 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature. 相似文献

Four Co(II) complexes, [Co(HL)2](OAc)2, [Co(HL)2Cl2], [Co(HL)2(MeOH)2](NO3)2, and [Co2(HL)4(SO4)2] (HL = acetone-N(4)-phenylsemicarbazone) were synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The magnetic susceptibility
measurements indicate that the complexes are paramagnetic with three unpaired electrons. In all the complexes, the semicarbazone
is coordinated as a neutral bidentate ligand. The structure of [Co(HL)2(MeOH)2](NO3)2 was confirmed by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The ligand is neutral and bidentate, being coordinated to the cobalt
atom through the carbonyl oxygen and the azomethine nitrogen. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding and C–H···π interactions combine
to stabilize the crystal structure. The ligand and its two complexes [Co(HL)2Cl2] and [Co(HL)2(MeOH)2](NO3)2 were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities using disk diffusion methods. 相似文献
