We show an invariant Harnack inequality for a class of hypoelliptic ultraparabolic operators with underlying homogeneous Lie group structures. As a byproduct we prove a Liouville type theorem for the related stationary operators. We also introduce a notion of link of homogeneous Lie Groups that allows us to show that our results apply to wide classes of operators.  相似文献

The aim of this note is to study the spectral properties of the LUECKE's class R of operators T such that ‖(T – zI)?1‖=1/d(z, W(T)) for all z?CLW(T), where CLW(T) is the closure of the numerical range W(T) of T and d(z, W(T)) is the distance from z to W(T). We study a class of random variational inequalities on random sets and give measurability, existence, and uniqueness results in a Hilbert space setting. In the special case where the random and the deterministic variables are separated, we present a discretization technique based on averaging and truncation, prove a Mosco convergence result for the feasible random set, and establish norm convergence of the approximation procedure.  相似文献

This paper describes two interior-point algorithms for solving a class of monotone variational inequalities defined over the intersection of an affine set and a closed convex set. The first algorithm is a long-step path-following method, and the second is an extension of the first, incorporating weights in the gradient of the barrier function. Global convergence of the algorithms is proven under the assumptions of monotonicity and differentiability of the operator.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to a generalized evolution system called fractional partial differential variational inequality which consists of a mixed quasi-variational inequality combined with a fractional partial differential equation in a Banach space. Invoking the pseudomonotonicity of multivalued operators and a generalization of the Knaster-Kuratowski-Mazurkiewicz theorem, first, we prove that the solution set of the mixed quasi-variational inequality involved in system is nonempty, closed and convex. Next, the measurability and upper semicontinuity for the mixed quasi-variational inequality with respect to the time variable and state variable are established. Finally, the existence of mild solutions for the system is delivered. The approach is based on the theory of operator semigroups, the Bohnenblust-Karlin fixed point principle for multivalued mappings, and theory of fractional operators.

In this paper we are concerned with a family of elliptic operators represented as sum of square vector fields: , in where is the Laplace operator, , and the limit operator is hypoelliptic. It is well known that admits a fundamental solution . Here we establish some a priori estimates uniform in of it, using a modification of the lifting technique of Rothschild and Stein. As a consequence we deduce some a priori estimates uniform in , for solutions of the approximated equation . These estimates can be used in particular while studying regularity of viscosity solutions of nonlinear equations represented in terms of vector fields.  相似文献

Let T be a bounded linear operator on an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space. In this paper, we introduce the new class, denoted ${{\mathcal{QP}}}$ , of operators satisfying ${{\|T^{2}x\|^{2}\leq \|T^{3}x\|\|Tx\|}}$ for all ${{x \in \mathcal{H}}}$ . This class includes the classes of paranormal operators and quasi-class A operators. We prove basic structural properties of these operators. Using these results, we also prove that if E is the Riesz idempotent for a nonzero isolated point λ0 of the spectrum of ${{T \in \mathcal{QP}}}$ , then E is self-adjoint if and only if ${{N(T-\lambda_{0}) \subseteq N(T^{*}-\overline{\lambda}_{0})}}$ .  相似文献

In this paper we give a new proof regarding the regularity of solutions to hypoelliptic partial differential equations with constant coefficients. On the assumption of existence, we provide a spectral representation for the solution and use this spectral representation to deduce regularity results. By exploiting analyticity properties of the terms within the spectral representation, we are able to give simple estimates for the size of the derivatives of the solutions and interpret them in terms of Gevrey classes.  相似文献
