以艾里光束为代表的自加速光束是一类在自由空间中具有弯曲传播特性的新型特殊光束.这类光束因其具有无衍射、自加速和自修复等奇异特性引起了人们的广泛关注,有望应用于光学微粒操控、激光微加工、全光路由和超分辨成像等诸多领域.由于艾里光束只能沿着抛物线的轨迹传播,限制了其在实际应用中的灵活性,因而设计出能够沿着不同轨迹传播的自加速光束是这一研究领域的关键问题,而基于焦散线方法的自加速光束设计是解决该问题的有效途径之一.这一方法是将设计的传播轨迹与光学焦散线联系起来,通过分析形成该焦散线所需的光线簇构造出对应的初始场分布.基于该原理并经过不断发展,不同类型的自加速光束相继得以实现,并且借助维格纳函数还可以同时实现实空间和傅里叶空间的自加速光束设计,为自加速光束的应用提供了更多的可能性.本文对基于焦散线方法的自加速光束设计原理和进展进行全面介绍.  相似文献

We demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, nonbroadening optical beams propagating along any arbitrarily chosen convex trajectory in space. We present a general method to construct such beams, and demonstrate it by generating beams following polynomial and exponential trajectories. We find that all such beams, accelerating along any convex trajectory, display the same universal intensity cross section, irrespective of their acceleration. The universal features of these beams are explored using catastrophe theory.  相似文献

无衍射光束(如贝塞尔光束、艾里光束)因具有无衍射、自愈合的特性, 在很多领域都有广泛的应用. 本文提出使用纯相位型空间光调制器对光场的复振幅进行调控, 从而可以产生多种复杂模式的无衍射光束, 如强度可独立调控的多个零阶贝塞尔光束, 两个高阶贝塞尔光束干涉生成的花瓣状无衍射光束, 具有多个主瓣的加速光束等特殊的无衍射光束. 通过在待测焦场附近放置一个平面反射镜, 使其沿光轴快速扫描光场, 并由数字相机同步拍摄反射回来的一系列二维光场强度分布信息, 可实现对无衍射光束三维光场强度分布的快速测量和表征. 本实验方法和技术可以快速产生各种复杂的特殊光场并获得其精确的三维可视化重建效果, 在光学显微、光学俘获、光学微加工等领域有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献

The impact of the asymmetric nonlocal diffusion nonlinearity of Airy beams and nonlinear accelerating beams supported by photorefractive crystals is addressed. It is revealed how the asymmetric nonlocal response alters the evolution of these optical beams. It is found that the evolution of these beams presents a bending action under the influence of the diffusion nonlinearity. It is also shown that nonlinear accelerating beams can exist in photorefractive crystals with asymmetric nonlocality. These accelerating solutions have the same Airy‐like tail, and accelerate along parabolic trajectories. Soliton states are formed in the interaction of both in‐phase and out‐of‐phase Airy beams and nonlinear accelerating beams and also present a bending action because of the action of diffusion nonlinearity.  相似文献

传统的螺旋相位板是一种利用沿方位角方向介质材料高度递增实现对光束相位调控产生涡旋光束的光学器件,由于这种特殊的几何结构特征使其不能通过相位板的叠加而调控出射光束所携带的角量子数.本文基于坐标变换方法将介质材料沿方位角方向折射率不变而高度递增的传统螺旋相位板变换为一种介质材料沿方位角方向高度不变而折射率递增的平板式螺旋相位板.通过理论分析与数值模拟,发现本文所设计的平板式螺旋相位板不仅与传统螺旋相位板一样能够产生高质量的涡旋光束,而且平板式螺旋相位板的高度和涡旋光束携带的角量子数可以根据介质材料的折射率选取而任意调节.为了实际应用的需要,可以通过叠加多层平板式螺旋相位板以获得不同角量子数的涡旋光束.这种平板式螺旋相位板在光传输、光通信等领域具有广阔的潜在应用价值.  相似文献

Airy加速光束是近年来备受关注的一种新型无衍射光束. 它所具有的自由加速、无衍射及自恢复特性使其在光学微操纵、非线性光学、 电子加速等诸多领域显示出重要的应用价值. 因此, 如何方便高效地生成加速光束成为近年来的一个热点研究内容. 本文对Airy加速光束复振幅分布的空间振荡特性进行了分析, 建立了利用局域空间频率描述其加速特性的理论. 提出了利用零点坐标计算加速光束局域空间频率的方法, 通过非线性拟合给出了可以精确描述Airy光束局域空间频率的解析公式; 确定了加速光束的局域空间频率函数与加速轨迹之间的定量关系, 给出了由给定加速轨迹计算相应的局域空间频率以及加速光束的纯相位函数的一种简单计算方法. 将上述分析结果用于设计产生具有给定加速轨迹的加速光束所需的相位函数, 成功求出了能够产生圆弧形加速轨迹的新型加速光束的纯相位函数的解析表达式. 基于该相位函数设计的纯相位衍射光学元件的模拟衍射结果证明了上述方法的可行性. 关键词: 衍射光学 加速光束 局域空间频率  相似文献

基于光学全息的角度复用特性, 根据空间光调制器对光场的相位和振幅调制原理, 通过加载产生任意矢量光所需要的相位分布, 设计了一种生成任意矢量光的方法. 该方法首先利用光学全息技术记录空间光调制器加载的相位, 从而制作一个全息光栅; 再现过程中, 两束具有相同入射角度的参考光照射全息光栅, 使得两束再现光相干叠加, 进而获得可调控的任意矢量光. 该方法能够避免复杂偏振态的出现, 并且具有生成光路简单、方便操作、生成矢量光的偏振纯度高等优势. 通过计算机模拟生成了任意矢量光, 获得了很好的效果.  相似文献

Generalized Lorenz-Mie theory for the scattering of arbitrarily shaped beams by spherical particles has been applied to two standard phase Doppler layouts, employing receiving units at 30° and 150° off-axis locations. It is shown that the particle trajectory effects may lead to inaccurate size measurements for the near-forward receiver and may make the near-backward measurements totally misleading when a large particle size range (1:40) needs to be covered. Only limited improvements can be achieved by using two phase-shift signals from a single receiving unit for discrimination. The errors associated with the trajectories are also detrimental to the concentration measurements based on the existing criteria. However, an extended optical system employing two identical receiving units, located symmetrically about the plane of the laser beams, provides a robust solution to the trajectory ambiguity. It can be used to measure correctly the particle size and the particle location in the measuring volume. The difficulties associated with estimating the effective size of the measuring volume as a function of the particle diameter (in order to determine the true size distribution and the particle number density) may also be resolved by employing an extended system. Hence, despite a higher cost, this arrangement is attractive, at least for obtaining some benchmark simultaneous measurements of sizes and velocities in two-phase particulate flows.  相似文献

空间相位调制一直是设计新型自加速光束的重要方法.参照类贝塞尔光束产生的思路,从理论上提出了一种新型的自加速无衍射类贝塞尔-厄米-高斯光束,并从数值模拟和实验两个方面研究此光束沿不同轨道的演化.理论上通过对厄米-高斯光束进行相位调制,产生了不同模式的自加速类贝塞尔-厄米-高斯光束.采用分步傅里叶算法模拟了(0,1),(1,0),(1,1)和(1,2)阶类贝塞尔-厄米-高斯光束沿预设轨道的传输过程.采用计算全息和空间光调制技术在实验中观察了类贝塞尔-厄米-高斯光束沿预设轨道的传输,例如抛物、双曲、双曲正割和三维轨道.实验观察与理论结果符合得很好.实验验证了不同阶类贝塞尔-厄米-高斯光束的奇特光斑结构,验证了光束的非衍射特性及传输轨道的可控性,且理论模拟验证了光束的自修复特性.作为此前研究的类贝塞尔光束的一般形式,本文所得到的光束可用于构造出更加新型实用的光束.  相似文献

In this paper, an Opto-Very-Large-Scale-Integrated (Opto-VLSI) based tunable photonic radio frequency (RF) filter structure is proposed and numerically simulated. The structure comprises a reconfigurable Opto-VLSI processor capable of arbitrarily steering optical beams of different wavelengths, a diffraction grating for wavelength division demultiplexing, and high-dispersion fibres for true-time delaying RF-modulated wavebands. The proposed structure has the ability to generate arbitrary wavebands and weights for realizing any RF filter responses. The proof-of-concept of the tunable photonic RF signal processor is also experimentally demonstrated by tuning its free-spectral range and altering its shape factor through optical beam steering.  相似文献

A model of optical tweezers which can trap a chain of Rayleigh particles is proposed by using two counter-propagating equal highly focused radial polarized beams. Calculations show that a multifocal distribution along the optical axis is formed and the scattering force is equal to zero in the total focal filed, consequently a chain of metallic Rayleigh particles can be stably trapped. The trap force and the trap stiffness using two counter-propagating Radially-polarized beams are larger than those using two counter-propagating linearly-polarized beams. The trapping stability is calculated and analyzed in detail. The trapping number of particles in a trapping chain can be controlled by adjusting the aperture angle of the objective and the parameters of the filter used in the proposed trap system.  相似文献

Microobject manipulation with a laser is investigated. The functional capabilities of the laser manipulators can be significantly enhanced using beams with predetermined distributions of intensity and angular momentum. Beams with nonzero angular momentum are generated using phase and amplitude-phase masks. Such beams make it possible to rotate weakly absorbing particles and to move them along a given trajectory. Experimental results on the microobject motion along various trajectories (circle, triangle contour, self-intersecting curve, and Archimedes spiral) are presented.  相似文献

In this review the basic principles of interference lithography (IL) are described. IL is emerging as one of the most powerful yet relatively inexpensive methodologies for creating large‐area patterns with micron‐ to sub‐micron periodicities. N‐dimensional periodic structures (N ≤ 3) can be obtained by interfering (N + 1) non‐coplanar beams in a photoresist. The symmetry and shape of the “unit cell” can be conveniently controlled by varying the intensities, geometries, polarizations, and phases of the beams involved. IL done with shorter wavelength lasers and/or liquid immersion lithography can create features with sub‐50 nm dimensions. Such periodic structures are beginning to find wide use in photonic crystal science, optical telecommunications, data storage, and the integrated circuit industry. Newer innovations such as diffraction element assisted lithography or DEAL and phase‐controlled IL for making two‐dimensional structures are also discussed.  相似文献

提出一种高效产生任意矢量光场的方法.利用两个光束偏移器分别对两个正交线偏振分量进行分束与合束,将传统激光模式转化为任意矢量光场.所产生矢量光场的偏振态和相位分布通过相位型空间光调制器(SLM)加载相应的相位实时调控.由于光路系统中不涉及任何衍射光学元件和振幅分光元件,光场转换效率高,仅取决于SLM的反射率,并且光路系统结构紧凑、稳定,同轴性易于调节.实验结果显示,采用反射率为79%的相位型SLM产生矢量光场的转换效率可达到58%.  相似文献

Optical coupling systems between a two-dimensional quasi-stadium laser diode and single-mode optical fibers using gradient-index rod lenses are designed for both stable and unstable laser resonators for the first time. A novel numerical approach using a combination of the extended Fox-Li calculation method and Gaussian beam transformations is proposed. In the case of a stable laser resonator, two kinds of beam propagation modes appear, namely the axis mode, in which an optical beam propagates along the cavity axis, and the ring mode, in which optical beams propagate along the diamond-shaped trajectory. The coupling efficiencies are found to be 54% for the axis mode and 52% for the ring mode. In contrast, an unstable laser resonator exhibits complicated modes, in which several highly directional beams are emitted from the end mirrors. The total coupling efficiency for these output beams is calculated to be 9.6%. The 3-dB tolerances for the lens pitch and alignment angles of the gradient-index rod lenses are also discussed.  相似文献

An acousto-optic tunable filter that is insensitive to the polarization of incident light is studied both theoretically and experimentally. The fundamental possibility of designing an acousto-optic filter of nonpolarized light is demonstrated. The filter operates in the visible range of electromagnetic waves with λ=480–750 nm and provides a high spatial and temporal resolution. The number of resolvable spots of the filtered image reaches a value of 400×400 with the spectral bandwidth of the device being Δλ=1.7 nm. The results of the processing of optical images formed by arbitrarily polarized light beams are discussed. An acousto-optic filter based on a TeO2 crystal can be used in optics and spectroscopy in the processing of light beams with an arbitrary polarization, as well as in analyzing optical images formed by light beams whose polarization varies with time.  相似文献

Size‐based particle sorting using a subwavelength optical fiber was demonstrated with 600‐nm and 1‐μm sizes of polystyrene particles. Optical forces acting on the particles were calculated based on three‐dimensional finite‐difference time‐domain simulations at wavelengths of 808, 1047, and 1310 nm propagating in a subwavelength optical fiber with diameter of 800 nm. Calculations indicate that by launching two counterpropagating laser beams at different wavelengths into the fiber, the directions of the resultant optical scattering forces acting on the two particle sizes can be opposite along the fiber, which leads to a countertransport of the particles. To verify the theoretical prediction, experiments were performed using the 800‐nm fiber to sort the two particle sizes. The results show that with two counterpropagating beams at 808 and 1310 nm, a continuous particle sorting was achieved. Measured particle velocities were in agreement with the theoretical calculations.  相似文献

The stimulating connection between the counter‐intuitive optical pulling effects and the Lorentz force has not been investigated in literature. This work demonstrates that multiple absorbing or non‐absorbing dielectric Rayleigh objects can be pulled locally with gradientless travelling waves outside a finite‐sized cylindrical nano or micro waveguide, if it is made up of a hollow core along with the cladding of at least two different dielectrics of appropriate refractive indices. Lorentz force analysis reveals that the bound surface charges of Rayleigh scatterer experience backward force, which overcomes the positive bulk force and ultimately results in the net pulling of the scatterer for several spatial regions outside the waveguide. Finally, in order to control the pulling of multiple Rayleigh particles based on scattering force and binding force, we have proposed a possible cylindrical coupler set‐up. This work may open a new window of optical pulling force due to the exclusion of conventional structured tractor beams along with the artificial exotic matters.  相似文献

The propagation of arbitrary laser beams in free space is examined. For this purpose, starting with an incident field of arbitrary field distribution, the intensity at the receiver plane is formulated via Huygens Fresnel diffraction integral. Arbitrary source field profile is produced by decomposing the source into incremental areas (pixels). The received field through the propagation in free space is found by superposing the contributions from all source incremental areas. The proposed method enables us to evaluate the received intensity originating from any type of source field. Using the arbitrary beam excitation, intensity of various laser beams such as cos-Gaussian, cosh-Gaussian, general type beams are checked to be consistent with the already existing results in literature, and the received intensity distributions are obtained for some original arbitrary beam field profiles. Our received intensity formulation for the arbitrary source field profiles presented in this paper can find application in optics communication links, reflection from rough surfaces, optical cryptography and optical imaging systems.  相似文献

The propagation of partially coherent beams through optical systems is computed numerically in one transverse dimension. The optical system is divided into different elementary segments, through which the propagation of light can be calculated by appropriate operators, working on the coherence function or the Wigner distribution function respectively. For the necessary changes between these two functions describing the partially coherent beams, the use of the remarkable z-transform seems to be an advantage. With this algorithm the grid and the resolution in the spatial frequency domain can be arbitrarily chosen in contrast to the usual Fourier transform, the influence of phase aberrations on the focusability of Gauss-Schell model beams is discussed as an application example of the numerical model. With the help of this tool, practical beam guiding systems can be simulated for use with multimode laser radiation.  相似文献
