Organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have aroused tremendous research interest for their high efficiency, low cost and solution processability. However, the involvement of toxic lead in state‐of‐art perovskites hinders their market prospects. As an alternative, Sn‐based perovskites exhibit similar semiconductor characteristics and can potentially achieve comparable photovoltaic performance in comparison with their lead‐based counterparts. The main challenge of developing Sn‐based PCSs lies in the intrinsic poor stability of Sn2+, which could be oxidized and converted to Sn4+. Notably, introduction of SnX2 (X=Cl, Br, I) additive becomes indispensable in the fabrication process, which highlights the importance of incorporating a reducing agent to improve the device stability. Additionally, efforts are made to utilize other reducing agents with different functions for the further enhancement of device performance. Currently, Sn‐based PSCs could attain a record efficiency over 10% with great stability. In this review, we present the recent progress on reducing agents for improving the stability of Sn‐based PSCs, and we hope to shed light on the challenges and opportunities of this research field.  相似文献

We synthesized and characterized methylammonium (MA) mixed tri‐halide tin perovskites (MASnIBr2−x Clx) for carbon‐based mesoscopic solar cells free of lead and hole‐transporting layers. Varied SnCl2/SnBr2 ratios yielded tin perovskites with three halides (I, Br, and Cl) co‐crystallized inside the tin‐perovskite. When the SnCl2 proportion was ≥50 % (x ≥1), phase separation occurred to give MASnI3−y Bry and MASnCl3−z Brz in the stoichiometric proportions of their precursors, confirmed by XRD. A device with MASnIBr1.8Cl0.2 (SnCl2=10 %) showed the best photovoltaic performance: J SC=14.0 mA cm−2, V OC=380 mV, FF=0.573, and PCE=3.1 %, and long‐term stability. Electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) show superior charge recombination and dielectric relaxation properties for the MASnIBr1.8Cl0.2 cell. Transient PL decays showed the intrinsic problem of tin‐based perovskites with average lifetimes less than 100 ps.  相似文献

Tin‐based halide perovskite materials have been successfully employed in lead‐free perovskite solar cells, but the overall power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) have been limited by the high carrier concentration from the facile oxidation of Sn2+ to Sn4+. Now a chemical route is developed for fabrication of high‐quality methylammonium tin iodide perovskite (MASnI3) films: hydrazinium tin iodide (HASnI3) perovskite film is first solution‐deposited using presursors hydrazinium iodide (HAI) and tin iodide (SnI2), and then transformed into MASnI3 via a cation displacement approach. With the two‐step process, a dense and uniform MASnI3 film is obtained with large grain sizes and high crystallization. Detrimental oxidation is suppressed by the hydrazine released from the film during the transformation. With the MASnI3 as light harvester, mesoporous perovskite solar cells were prepared, and a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 7.13 % is delivered with good reproducibility.  相似文献

Organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskites have attracted great attention over the last few years as potential light‐harvesting materials for efficient and cost‐effective solar cells. However, the use of lead iodide in state‐of‐the‐art perovskite devices may demonstrate an obstacle for future commercialization due to toxicity of lead. Herein we report on the synthesis and characterization of low dimensional tin‐based perovskites. We found that the use of symmetrical imidazolium‐based cations such as benzimidazolium (Bn) and benzodiimidazolium (Bdi) allow the formation of 2D perovskites with relatively narrow band gaps compared to traditional ‐NH3+ amino groups, with optical band gap values of 1.81 eV and 1.79 eV for Bn2SnI4 and BdiSnI4 respectively. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the optical properties in this class of perovskites can be tuned by formation of a quasi 2D perovskite with the formula Bn2FASn2I7. Additionally, we investigate the change in band gap in the mixed Sn/Pb solid solution Bn2SnxPbx?1I4. Devices fabricated with Bn2SnI4 show promising efficiencies of around 2.3 %.  相似文献

Recently, lead halide‐based perovskites have become one of the hottest topics in photovoltaic research because of their excellent optoelectronic properties. Among them, organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have made very rapid progress with their power conversion efficiency (PCE) now at 23.7 %. However, the intrinsically unstable nature of these materials, particularly to moisture and heat, may be a problem for their long‐term stability. Replacing the fragile organic group with more robust inorganic Cs+ cations forms the cesium lead halide system (CsPbX3, X is halide) as all‐inorganic perovskites which are much more thermally stable and often more stable to other factors. From the first report in 2015 to now, the PCE of CsPbX3‐based PSCs has abruptly increased from 2.9 % to 17.1 % with much enhanced stability. In this Review, we summarize the field up to now, propose solutions in terms of development bottlenecks, and attempt to boost further research in CsPbX3 PSCs.  相似文献

All inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots (QDs) are potential emitters for electroluminescent displays. We have developed a facile hot‐injection method to partially replace the toxic Pb2+ with highly stable Sn4+. Meanwhile, the absolute photoluminescence quantum yield of CsPb1−x Snx Br3 increased from 45 % to 83 % with SnIV substitution. The transient absorption (TA) exciton dynamics in undoped CsPbBr3 and CsPb0.67Sn0.33Br3 QDs at various excitation fluences were determined by femtosecond transient absorption, time‐resolved photoluminescence, and single‐dot spectroscopy, providing clear evidence for the suppression of trion generation by Sn doping. These highly luminescent CsPb0.67Sn0.33Br3 QDs emit at 517 nm. A device based on these QDs exhibited a luminance of 12 500 cd m−2, a current efficiency of 11.63 cd A−1, an external quantum efficiency of 4.13 %, a power efficiency of 6.76 lm w−1, and a low turn‐on voltage of 3.6 V, which are the best values among reported tin‐based perovskite quantum‐dot LEDs.  相似文献

The all‐inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite solar cell (PSC) is a promising solution to balance the high efficiency and poor stability of state‐of‐the‐art organic–inorganic PSCs. Setting inorganic hole‐transporting layers at the perovskite/electrode interface decreases charge carrier recombination without sacrificing superiority in air. Now, M‐substituted, p‐type inorganic Cu(Cr,M)O2 (M=Ba2+, Ca2+, or Ni2+) nanocrystals with enhanced hole‐transporting characteristics by increasing interstitial oxygen effectively extract holes from perovskite. The all‐inorganic CsPbBr3 PSC with a device structure of FTO/c‐TiO2/m‐TiO2/CsPbBr3/Cu(Cr,M)O2/carbon achieves an efficiency up to 10.18 % and it increases to 10.79 % by doping Sm3+ ions into perovskite halide, which is much higher than 7.39 % for the hole‐free device. The unencapsulated Cu(Cr,Ba)O2‐based PSC presents a remarkable stability in air in either 80 % humidity over 60 days or 80 °C conditions over 40 days or light illumination for 7 days.  相似文献

Organic‐inorganic hybrid two‐dimensional (2D) perovskites (n≤5) have recently attracted significant attention because of their promising stability and optoelectronic properties. Normally, 2D perovskites contain a monocation [e.g., methylammonium (MA+) or formamidinium (FA+)]. Reported here for the first time is the fabrication of 2D perovskites (n=5) with mixed cations of MA+, FA+, and cesium (Cs+). The use of these triple cations leads to the formation of a smooth, compact surface morphology with larger grain size and fewer grain boundaries compared to the conventional MA‐based counterpart. The resulting perovskite also exhibits longer carrier lifetime and higher conductivity in triple cation 2D perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2D PSCs with triple cations was enhanced by more than 80 % (from 7.80 to 14.23 %) compared to PSCs fabricated with a monocation. The PCE is also higher than that of PSCs based on binary cation (MA+‐FA+ or MA+‐Cs+) 2D structures.  相似文献

The reduced dimension perovskite including 2D perovskites are one of the most promising strategies to stabilize lead halide perovskite. A mixed‐cation 2D perovskite based on a steric phenyltrimethylammonium (PTA) cation is presented. The PTA‐MA mixed‐cation 2D perovskite of PTAMAPbI4 can be formed on the surface of MAPbI3 (PTAI‐MAPbI3) by controllable PTAI intercalation by either spin coating or soaking. The PTAMAPbI4 capping layer can not only passivate PTAI‐MAPbI3 perovskite but also act as MA+ locker to inhibit MAI extraction and significantly enhance the stability. The highly stable PTAI‐MAPbI3 based perovskite solar cells exhibit a reproducible photovoltaic performance with a champion PCE of 21.16 %. Such unencapsulated devices retain 93 % of initial efficiency after 500 h continuous illumination. This steric mixed‐cation 2D perovskite as MA+ locker to stabilize the MAPbI3 is a promising strategy to design stable and high‐performance hybrid lead halide perovskites.  相似文献

1,4‐butanediamine (BEA) is incorporated into FASnI3 (FA=formamidinium) to develop a series of lead‐free low‐dimensional Dion–Jacobson‐phase perovskites, (BEA)FAn?1SnnI3n+1. The broadness of the (BEA)FA2Sn3I10 band gap appears to be influenced by the structural distortion owing to high symmetry. The introduction of BEA ligand stabilizes the low‐dimensional perovskite structure (formation energy ca. 106 j mol?1), which inhibits the oxidation of Sn2+. The compact (BEA)FA2Sn3I10 dominated film enables a weakened carrier localization mechanism with a charge transfer time of only 0.36 ps among the quantum wells, resulting in a carrier diffusion length over 450 nm for electrons and 340 nm for holes, respectively. Solar cell fabrication with (BEA)FA2Sn3I10 delivers a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.43 % with negligible hysteresis. The devices can retain over 90 % of their initial PCE after 1000 h without encapsulation under N2 environment.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites have attracted significant attention owing to their extraordinary optoelectronic properties with applications in the fields of solar energy, lighting, photodetectors, and lasers. The rational design of these hybrid materials is a key factor in the optimization of their performance in perovskite‐based devices. Herein, a mechanochemical approach is proposed as a highly efficient, simple, and reproducible method for the preparation of four types of hybrid perovskites, which were obtained in large amounts as polycrystalline powders with high purity and excellent optoelectronics properties. Two archetypal three‐dimensional (3D) perovskites (MAPbI3 and FAPbI3) were synthesized, together with a bidimensional (2D) perovskite (Gua2PbI4) and a “double‐chain” one‐dimensional (1D) perovskite (GuaPbI3), whose structure was elucidated by X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

Improved charge extraction and wide spectral absorption promote power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The state‐of‐the‐art carbon‐based CsPbBr3 PSCs have an inferior power output capacity because of the large optical band gap of the perovskite film and the high energy barrier at perovskite/carbon interface. Herein, we use alkyl‐chain regulated quantum dots as hole‐conductors to reduce charge recombination. By precisely controlling alkyl‐chain length of ligands, a balance between the surface dipole induced charge coulomb repulsive force and quantum tunneling distance is achieved to maximize charge extraction. A fluorescent carbon electrode is used as a cathode to harvest the unabsorbed incident light and to emit fluorescent light at 516 nm for re‐absorption by the perovskite film. The optimized PSC free of encapsulation achieves a maximum power conversion efficiency up to 10.85 % with nearly unchanged photovoltaic performances under 80 %RH, 80 °C, or light irradiation in air.  相似文献

Lead halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) are promising candidates for future lighting applications, due to their high quantum yield, narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM), and wide color gamut. However, the toxicity of lead represents a potential obstacle to their utilization. Although tin(II) has been used to replace lead in films and QDs, the high intrinsic defect density and oxidation vulnerability typically leads to unsatisfactory material properties. Bismuth, with much lower toxicity than lead, is promising to constitute lead‐free perovskite materials because Bi3+ is isoelectronic to Pb2+ and more stable than Sn2+. Herein we report, for the first time, the synthesis and optical characterization of MA3Bi2Br9 perovskite QDs with photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) up to 12 %, which is much higher than Sn‐based perovskite nanocrystals. Furthermore, the photoluminescence (PL) peaks of MA3Bi2X9 QDs could be easily tuned from 360 to 540 nm through anion exchange.  相似文献

Compared with organic‐inorganic perovskites, all‐inorganic cesium‐based perovskites without volatile organic compounds have gained extensive interests because of the high thermal stability. However, they have a problem on phase transition from cubic phase (active for photo‐electric conversion) to orthorhombic phase (inactive for photo‐electric conversion) at room temperature, which has hindered further progress. Herein, novel inorganic CsPb1?xGexI2Br perovskites were prepared in humid ambient atmosphere without a glovebox. The phase stability of the all‐inorganic perovskite was effectively enhanced after germanium addition. In addition, the highest power conversion efficiency of 10.8 % with high open‐circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.27 V in a planar solar cell based on CsPb0.8Ge0.2I2Br perovskite was achieved. Furthermore, the highest VOC up to 1.34 V was obtained by CsPb0.7Ge0.3I2Br perovskite, which is a remarkable record in the field of all‐inorganic perovskite solar cells. More importantly, all the photovoltaic parameters of CsPb0.8Ge0.2I2Br perovskite solar cells showed nearly no decay after 7 h measurement in 50–60 % relative humidity without encapsulation.  相似文献

Exciton localization is an approach for preparing highly luminescent semiconductors. However, realizing strongly localized excitonic recombination in low-dimensional materials such as two-dimensional (2D) perovskites remains challenging. Herein, we first propose a simple and efficient Sn2+ vacancy (VSn) tuning strategy to enhance excitonic localization in 2D (OA)2SnI4 (OA=octylammonium) perovskite nanosheets (PNSs), increasing their photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) to ≈64 %, which is among the highest values reported for tin iodide perovskites. Combining experimental with first-principles calculation results, we confirm that the significantly increased PLQY of (OA)2SnI4 PNSs is primarily due to self-trapped excitons with highly localized energy states induced by VSn. Moreover, this universal strategy can be applied for improving other 2D Sn-based perovskites, thereby paving a new way to fabricate diverse 2D lead-free perovskites with desirable PL properties.  相似文献

The synthesis of previously unknown perovskite (CH3NH3)2PdCl4 is reported. Despite using an organic cation with the smallest possible alkyl group, a 2D organic–inorganic layered Pd‐based perovskites was still formed. This demonstrates that Pd‐based 2D perovskites can be obtained even if the size of the organic cation is below the size limit predicted by the Goldschmidt tolerance‐factor formula. The (CH3NH3)2PdCl4 phase has a bulk resistivity of 1.4 Ω cm, a direct optical gap of 2.22 eV, and an absorption coefficient on the order of 104 cm?1. XRD measurements suggest that the compound is moderately stable in air, an important advantage over several existing organic–inorganic perovskites that are prone to phase degradation problems when exposed to the atmosphere. Given the recent interest in organic–inorganic perovskites, the synthesis of this new Pd‐based organic–inorganic perovskite may be helpful in the preparation and understanding of other organic–inorganic perovskites.  相似文献

Possessed with advantageous optoelectronic properties, perovskites have boosted the rapid development of solution-processed solar cells. The performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is significantly weakened by the carrier loss at grain boundary grooves (GBGs); however, it receives limited attention and there lacks effective approach to solve this issue. Herein, for the first time, we constructed the tungstate/perovskite heterointerface via a “two step” in situ reaction approach that provides effective defect passivation and ensures efficient carrier dynamics at the GBGs. The exposed perovskite at grain boundaries is converted to wide-band-gap PbWO4 via an in-situ reaction between Pb2+ and tungstate ions, which passivate defects due to the strong ionic bonding. Moreover, recombination loss is further suppressed via the heterointerface energetics modification based on an additional transformation from PbWO4 to CaWO4. PSCs based on this groove modification strategy showed good universality in both normal and inverted structure, with an improved efficiency of 23.25 % in the n-i-p device and 23.33 % in the p-i-n device. Stable power output of the modified device could maintain 91.7 % after around 1100 h, and the device efficiency could retain 92.5 % after aging in air for around 2110 h, and 93.1 % after aging at 85 °C in N2 for 972 h.  相似文献

The controllable oxidation of spiro‐OMeTAD and improving the stability of hole‐transport materials (HTMs) layer are crucial for good performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, we report an efficient hybrid polyoxometalate@metal–organic framework (POM@MOF) material, [Cu2(BTC)4/3(H2O)2]6[H3PMo12O40]2 or POM@Cu‐BTC, for the oxidation of spiro‐OMeTAD with Li‐TFSI and TBP. When POM@Cu‐BTC is introduced to the HTM layer as a dopant, the PSCs achieve a superior fill factor of 0.80 and enhanced power conversion efficiency 21.44 %, as well as improved long‐term stability in an ambient atmosphere without encapsulation. The enhanced performance is attributed to the oxidation activity of POM anions and solid‐state nanoparticles. Therefore, this research presents a facile way by using hybrid porous materials to accelerate oxidation of spiro‐OMeTAD, further improving the efficiency and stability of PSCs.  相似文献
