The method of manufacturing and spectroscopic evaluation of the Er3+ ions doped and Er3+–Yb3+co-doped SiO2–Al2O3–Na2CO3–CaO–PbO–PbF2 oxyfluoride glass fibers is presented in the paper. Both optically active elements erbium and ytterbium were introduced into
the batch in the form of fluorides. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique was applied at each stage of fibers manufacturing
in order to control an amorphous structure of the preforms and fibers. Optical studies of glass preforms and fibers (reflection/transmission,
absorption, emission, and excited state absorption (ESA)) were directed to examine their suitability as fiber amplifiers at

Optical planar waveguides in Yb 3+-doped phosphate glasses are fabricated by implanting triple-energy helium ions. The guiding modes and the near-field intensity distribution are measured by using the prism-coupling method and the end-face coupling setup with a He-Ne laser at 633 nm The intensity calculation method (ICM) is used to reconstruct the refractive index profile of the waveguide. The absorption and the fluorescence investigations reveal that the glass bulk features are well preserved in the active volumes of the waveguides, suggesting the fabricated structures for possible applications as waveguide lasers. 相似文献

Effect of concentration of Er3+ ions on ultra-large index of refraction via atomic coherence in Er3+: YAG crystal 下载免费PDF全文
A four-level system is proposed to produce large index of refraction accompanied by vanishing absorption in the Er^{3+}-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (YAG) crystal. It is found that the high index of refraction with zero absorption can be provided by adjusting the incoherent pumping, the coherent field, as well as the concentration of Er^{3+} ions in the crystal. Furthermore, the value of the incoherent pump to achieve the high index of refraction with zero absorption is greatly changed with increasing the concentration of Er^{3+} ions in the crystal. This indicates that the effect of concentration on the high index of refraction with zero absorption cannot be neglected. 相似文献

Using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and x-ray diffraction
analysis, we have studied the structural and morphological evolution
of highly Er/Yb co-doped Al2O3 films in the temperature
range from $600\,^{\circ}\mkern-1mu$C--900$\,^{\circ}\mkern-1mu$C.
By comparison with TEM observation, the annealing behaviours of
photoluminescence (PL) emission and optical loss were found to have
relation to the structure and morphology. The increase of PL
intensity and optical loss above 800$\,^{\circ}\mkern-1mu$C might
result from the crystallization of amorphous Al2O3 films.
Based on the study on the structure and morphology, a rate equation
propagation model of a multilevel system was used to calculate the
optical gains of Er-doped Al2O3 planar waveguide
amplifiers involving the variation of PL efficiency and optical loss
with annealing temperature. It was found that the amplifiers had an
optimized optical gain at the temperature corresponding to the
minimum of optical loss, rather than at the temperature
corresponding to the maximum of PL efficiency, suggesting
that the optical loss is a key factor for determining the optical gain of an
Er-doped Al2O3 planar waveguide amplifier. 相似文献

We study the absorption-dispersion process and group index of weak probe field in a four-level Er3+:YAG crystal.We find that the Er3+ion concentration and incoherent pumping field can influence the absorption-dispersion process and group index of weak probe field.Moreover,our results show that Er3+ion concentration plays a major role in lasing without inversion and absorption with inversion. 相似文献

在Er3+/Yb3+共掺TeO2-WO3-ZnO玻璃中引入Ce3+,研究了Ce3+对Er3+1.5μm发射性能及其上转换发光性能的影响。结果表明,随Ce3+浓度的增加Er3+1.5μm波段的荧光强度先增强后降低,优化的Ce3+掺杂浓度在2.07×1020/cm3左右;1.5μm波段的荧光寿命则随Ce3+浓度的增加有轻微降低,从3.4ms降到3.0ms,但Ce3+浓度的增加对1.5μm波段的荧光半高宽基本无影响;Er3+/Ce3+间的交叉弛豫Er3+(4I11/2)+Ce3+(2F5/2)→Er3+(4I13/2)+Ce3+(2F7/2)使玻璃的上转换发光强度大大降低,但在过高的Ce3+浓度下,Er3+/Ce3+间的另一交叉弛豫Er3+(4I13/2)+Ce3+(2F5/2)→Er3+(4I15/2)+Ce3+(2F7/2)则使Er3+4I13/2能级粒子数减少,导致1.5μm波段荧光强度和荧光寿命降低.

用微波高温固相法合成了Er~(3+)单掺Lu_2O_3,Li~+与Er~(3+)共掺Lu_2O_3及Li~+,Zn~(2+),Mg~(2+)掺杂Lu_2O_3∶Er~(3+)的荧光粉。实验表明金属离子Li~+、Zn~(2+)、Mg~(2+)、Er~(3+)掺杂Lu_2O_3,不影响Lu_2O_3的立方晶相。扫描电子显微镜测量表明,Li~+掺杂可以有效改善粉体的分散性和形貌,Li~+,Zn~(2+),Mg~(2+)共掺杂获得的粉体颗粒分布更加均匀,粒径范围为80~100 nm。379 nm激发下,Li~+与Er~(3+)共掺样品发光较单掺Er~(3+)样品在565 nm处的发光增强了4.5倍,而Li~+、Zn~(2+)、Mg~(2+)与Er~(3+)共掺样品较其发光增强5.3倍。980 nm激发下,Li~+与Er~(3+)共掺样品,Li~+、Zn~(2+)、Mg~(2+)与Er~(3+)共掺样品的发光分别比单掺Er~(3+)样品在565 nm处发光增强23倍与39倍,在662 nm处发光强度分别增强20倍与43倍。379 nm激发下,较单掺Er~(3+)的样品,掺杂Li~+的样品和Li~+,Zn~(2+),Mg~(2+)和Er~(3+)共掺的样品荧光寿命均有所增加,而Zn~(2+)、Er~(3+)共掺及Mg~(2+)、Er~(3+)共掺样品的荧光寿命则有所缩短。 相似文献

This paper reports that the CoFe/IrMn bilayers are deposited by magnetron sputtering on the surfaces of thermallyoxidized Si substrates.It investigates the thermal relaxations of both non-irradiated and Ga + ion irradiated CoFe/IrMn bilayers by means of holding the bilayers in a negative saturation field.The results show that exchange bias field decreases with the increase of holding time period for both non-irradiated and Ga + ion irradiated CoFe/IrMn bilayers.Exchange bias field is also found to be smaller upon irradiation at higher ion dose.This reduction of exchange bias field is attributed to the change of energy barrier induced by ion-radiation. 相似文献

研究了激光二极管抽运的Er3+,Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃激光器中共协上转换(cooperative upconversion)和累积能量转移(cumulative energy transfer)对激光输出的影响.通过对速率方程的数值模拟,定量计算并分析了共协上转换和累积能量转移对激光输出的影响,发现共协上转换对阈值抽运功率的影响可达到22%之多,实验结果和理论曲线相当符合.这有助于对Er3+,Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃激光器进行优化.

制备了NaYF4:Er3+,Yb3+纳米晶,表征了纳米晶的形貌,通过物理掺杂的方式将纳米粒子掺杂到SU-8中作为光波导放大器的芯层材料,优化了波导放大器的尺寸,利用旋涂、刻蚀等工艺,在二氧化硅衬底上制备了光波导放大器。实验中用光漂白法和湿法刻蚀两种方法制备光波导放大器,分别给出了两种方法制备的器件的结构、工艺流程、光场模拟结果,并对两种方法制备的器件的放大特性进行了测试。测试结果表明,当980 nm波长的泵浦光功率为241 mW且1 550 nm波长的信号光功率为0.1 mW时,使用湿法刻蚀法制备的放大器得到2.7 dB的相对增益。当980 nm波长的泵浦光功率为235 mW且1 550 nm波长的信号光功率为0.1 mW时,使用光漂白法制备的放大器得到4.5 dB的相对增益。根据以上测试结果,分析了两种工艺对器件性能的影响。 相似文献
