This paper investigates existence of positive solutions of singular sub-linear boundary value problems on a half-line. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive continuous solutions or smooth solutions on [0, ∞] are given by constructing new lower and upper solutions.  相似文献

We study local and nonlocal boundary value problems for degenerating and nondegenerating third-order pseudoparabolic equations of the general form with variable coefficients and with a Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative. For their solutions, we obtain a priori estimates that imply the uniqueness of the solution and its stability with respect to the right-hand side and the initial data.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a new class of boundary value problems from a fractional differential inclusion of Riemann–Liouville type and nonlocal Hadamard fractional integral boundary conditions. Some new existence results for convex as well as non-convex multi-valued maps are obtained using standard fixed point theorems. The obtained results are illustrated by examples.  相似文献

In this paper we study initial boundary value problems of the Camassa–Holm equation on the half line and on a compact interval. Using rigorously the conservation of symmetry, it is possible to convert these boundary value problems into Cauchy problems for the Camassa–Holm equation on the line and on the circle, respectively. Applying thus known results for the latter equations we first obtain the local well-posedness of the initial boundary value problems under consideration. Then we present some blow-up and global existence results for strong solutions. Finally we investigate global and local weak solutions for the equation on the half line and on a compact interval, respectively. An interesting result of our analysis shows that the Camassa–Holm equation on a compact interval possesses no nontrivial global classical solutions.  相似文献

By means of the Schauder fixed point theorem and analysis method, we establish some existence criteria for positive solutions of the m-point boundary value problem on time scales where α ∈ Ctd((O,T,[0,∞)),f∈ Ckd([0,∞)×[0,∞)),β,γ ∈[0,∞),ξi ∈(0,p(T).b,ai∈ (0,∞) (for i = 1,..., m - 2) are given constants satisfying some suitable hypotheses. We show that this problem has at least one positive solution for sufficiently small b 〉 0 and no solution for sufficiently large b. Our results are new even for the corresponding differential equation (T = R) and difference equation (T = Z).  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new technique to study nonlinear stochastic differential equations with periodic boundary value condition (in the sense of expectation). Our main idea is to decompose the stochastic process into a deterministic term and a new stochastic term with zero mean value. Then by using the contraction mapping principle and Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence theorem. Finally, we explain our main results by an elementary example.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the existence of solutions for impulsive first order ordinary differential inclusions which admitting nonconvex valued right hand side. We present two classes of results. In the first one, we rely on a fixed point theorem for contraction multivalued maps due to Covitz and Nadler, and for the second one, we use Schacfer's fixed point theorem combined with lower semi-continuous multivalued operators with decomposable values under weaker conditions.  相似文献

Herein we consider the existence of solutions to second-order, two-point boundary value problems (BVPs) for systems of ordinary differential inclusions. Some new Bernstein-Nagumo conditions are presented that ensure a priori bounds on the derivative of solutions to the differential inclusion. These a priori bound results are then applied, in conjunction with appropriate topological methods, to prove some new existence theorems for solutions to systems of BVPs for differential inclusions. Convergence of Vortex Methods for Initial Boundary Value Problems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper we study the vortex methods for the Euler equation of incompressible flow with initial and boundary conditions. Second order extrapolation scheme is applied to calculate the motion of vortex blobs near boundary. Under some corresponding conventional hypotheses second order convergence result is proved, which achieves the same precision as that of the pure initial value problems and can be generalized to any higher order without difficulty. The convergence of the vortex-in-cell method where the stream functions are approximated by the finite element method is also proved.  相似文献
