In this work we analyze p-groups of class 2 G and H, with same rational group algebras. We prove that if QG = QH, then their commutators are equal and the centers, 𝒵(G) and 𝒵(H), have their orders preserved. We apply our results to Frattini Central p-groups, and we present an example of two groups of order p 7, with no isomorphic centers and different central cyclic components intersecting the cyclic components of the respective commutators groups.  相似文献

Abstract

Nongraded simple Lie algebras appear naturally in mathematical physics. In this paper, a new class of nongraded simple Lie algebras are presented based on the pairs (𝒜, 𝒟) consisting of a commutative associative unital algebra 𝒜 and a finite dimensional commutative derivation subalgebra 𝒟 such that 𝒜 is 𝒟-simple. The isomorphism classes of these nongraded Lie algebras are also determined and the structure space of these algebras is given explicitly.  相似文献

The commuting graph of a ring R, denoted by Γ(R), is a graph of all whose vertices are noncentral elements of R, and 2 distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if xy = yx. In this article we investigate some graph-theoretic properties of Γ(kG), where G is a finite group, k is a field, and 0 ≠ |G| ∈k. Among other results it is shown that if G is a finite nonabelian group and k is an algebraically closed field, then Γ(kG) is not connected if and only if |G| = 6 or 8. For an arbitrary field k, we prove that Γ(kG) is connected if G is a nonabelian finite simple group or G′ ≠ G″ and G″ ≠ 1.  相似文献

Let k be a field. We consider gradings on a polynomial algebra k[X1,…, Xn] by an arbitrary abelian group G, such that the indeterminates are homogeneous elements of nontrivial degree. We classify the isomorphism types of such gradings, and we count them in the case where G is finite. We present some examples of good gradings and find a minimal set of generators of the subalgebra of elements of trivial degree.  相似文献

Let G be an abelian group and let R be a commutative ring with identity. Denote by R t G a commutative twisted group algebra (a commutative twisted group ring) of G over R, by ?(R) and ?(R t G) the nil radicals of R and R t G, respectively, by G p the p-component of G and by G 0 the torsion subgroup of G. We prove that:
  1. If R is a ring of prime characteristic p, the multiplicative group R* of R is p-divisible and ?(R) = 0, then there exists a twisted group algebra R t 1 (G/G p ) such that R t G/?(R t G) ? R t 1 (G/G p ) as R-algebras;

  2. If R is a ring of prime characterisitic p and R* is p-divisible, then ?(R t G) = 0 if and only if ?(R) = 0 and G p  = 1; and

  3. If B(R) = 0, the orders of the elements of G 0 are not zero divisors in R, H is any group and the commutative twisted group algebra R t G is isomorphic as R-algebra to some twisted group algebra R t 1 H, then R t G 0 ? R t 1 H 0 as R-algebras.

Let K be a nonabsolute field of characteristic p ≠ 2, G a locally finite group and KG its group algebra. Let ?: KG → KG denote the K-linear extension of an involution ? defined on G. In this article, we prove that if the subgroup 𝒰?(KG), i.e., the ?-unitary units of KG, satisfies a group identity, then KG satisfies a polynomial identity. Moreover, in case the prime radical of KG is nilpotent, we characterize the groups G for which 𝒰?(KG) satisfies a group identity.  相似文献

We study graded Lie algebras of maximal class over a field of positive characteristic . A. Shalev has constructed infinitely many pairwise non-isomorphic insoluble algebras of this kind, thus showing that these algebras are more complicated than might be suggested by considering only associated Lie algebras of p-groups of maximal class. Here we construct pairwise non-isomorphic such algebras, and soluble ones. Both numbers are shown to be best possible. We also exhibit classes of examples with a non-periodic structure. As in the case of groups, two-step centralizers play an important role.

In this article, we prove that the inner projection of a projective curve with higher linear syzygies has also higher linear syzygies. Specifically, if a very ample line bundle ? on a smooth projective curve X satisfies property N p for p  ≥  1 and H 1 (? ? 2) =  0 , then ?( ?  q ) satisfies property N p ? 1 for any point q  ∈  X . We also give simple proofs of well-known theorems about syzygies and raise some questions related to the line bundles of degree 2 g which do not satisfy property N 1 .  相似文献

Given a partial action α of a group G on the group algebra FH, where H is a finite group and F is a field whose characteristic p divides the order of H, we investigate the associativity question of the partial crossed product FH*α G. A finite algebra is said to be order-primal if its clone of all term operations is the set of all operations defined on A which preserve a given partial order ≤ on A. In this paper we study algebraic properties of order-primal algebras for connected ordered sets (A; ≤). Such order-primal algebras are constantive, simple and have no non-identical automorphisms. We show that in this case cannot have only unary fundamental operations or only one at least binary fundamental operation. We prove several properties of the varieties and the quasi-varieties generated by constantive and simple algebras and apply these properties to order-primal algebras.
