Abstract

We give a short proof of the irreducibility of Harish-Chandra modules of sufficiently high highest weight of the lowest K-type for the groups Sp n (?) and Up, q). The proof uses the action of the Casimir operator on holomorphic highest weight vectors and elementary inequalities.  相似文献

A smooth graph is a connected graph without endpoints; f(n, q) is the number of connected graphs, v(n, q) is the number of smooth graphs, and u(n, q) is the number of blocks on n labeled points and q edges: Wk, Vk, and Uk are the exponential generating functions of f(n, n + k), v(n, n + k), and u(n, n + k), respectively. For any k ? 1, our reduction method shows that Vk can be deduced at once from Wk, which was found for successive k by the computer method described in our previous paper. Again the reduction method shows that Uk must be a sum of powers (mostly negative) of 1 - X and, given this information, we develop a recurrence method well suited to calculate Uk for successive k. Exact formulas for v(n, n + k) and u(n, n + k) for general n follow at once.  相似文献

Summary We have considered here the (unitary) irreducible representations of theq-deformed algebraU q(SO4) and of theq-deformed Lorentz algebraU q(SO3,1). Both of them contain, as subalgebra, the algebraU q(SO3) which is shown to be isomorphic to the Fairlie-Odesskii algebra. As the list of pairwise nonequivalent irreps of theU q(SO3,1) demonstrates, the set of the parameters, which characterize such irreps is somewhat reduced (due to periodicity properties of the function w(z)=[z]q) in comparison with that of theq=1 (classical) case. From another side, the list of unitary irreps of theU q(SO3,1) contains the strange series which has no classical counterpart (disappears at q=1).Published in Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika. This note first describes the basic properties of the skew derivations on the polynomial ringk[X]. As a consequence of these properties it is proved that theq-analogue of the enveloping algebra of sl(2),U q(sl(2)), has a unique action on C[X], where “action” means that C[X] is a module algebra in the Hopf algebra sense. This depends on the fact that the generators of a subalgebra ofU q(sl(2)) described by Woronowicz must act via an automorphism, and the skew derivations associated to it. Let U = U(q) be a Sylow p-subgroup of a finite Chevalley group G = G(q). Röhrle and Goodwin in 2009 determined a parameterization of the conjugacy classes of U, for G of small rank when q is a power of a good prime for G. As a consequence they verified that the number k(U) of conjugacy classes of U is given by a polynomial in q with integer coefficients. In the present paper, we consider the case when p is a bad prime for G. Our motivation is to observe how the situation differs between good and bad characteristics. We obtain a parameterization of the conjugacy classes of U, when G has rank less than or equal to 4, and G is not of type F 4. In these cases we deduce that k(U) is given by a polynomial in q with integer coefficients; this polynomial is different from the polynomial for good primes.  相似文献

We give new realizations of the crystal bases of the Verma modules and the irreducible highest weight modules over the quantum generalized Kac–Moody algebra U q (A ) and the quantum Monster algebra using Nakajima monomials. Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero and L = sl(2,k) the Lie algebra of 2 × 2 traceless matrices over k. It is shown that there exists a von Neumann regular extension U(L) í U¢(L) U(L) \subseteq U'(L) of the universal enveloping algebra, which is an epimorphism in the category of rings. The article is devoted to the study of the simple representations of U'(L), which may be topologized via the Ziegler topology on the set of injective indecomposable representations of U'(L) or via the Jacobson topology on the set of primitive ideals. These two topologies coincide and the finite dimensional simple representations of L form a dense, discrete and open subset. The field of fractions K(L) of the universal enveloping algebra is another simple representation of U'(L). If the point K(L) is removed from the Ziegler spectrum of U'(L), one obtains a compact totally disconnected topological space, which has the cardinality of the continuum. It is also shown that the lattice of ideals of U'(L) is isomorphic to the lattice of open subsets. The epimorphic ring extension U(L) í U¢(L) U(L) \subseteq U'(L) is used to find an axiomatization of the finite dimensional representations of L in the language of left U(L)-modules. A representation V of L is called pseudo-finite dimensional if it satisfies these axioms. It is shown that a representation V of L is pseudo-finite dimensional if and only if for every central idempotent e ? U¢(L) e \in U'(L) for which eK(L) 1 0 eK(L) \neq 0 , whenever the subrepresentation eV is nonzero, then it has a nonzero highest weight space.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct families of irreducible representations for a class of quantum groups U q (ƒ m (K)). First, we give a natural construction of irreducible weight representations for U q (ƒ m (K)) using methods in spectral theory developed by Rosenberg. Second, we study the Whittaker model for the center of U q (ƒ m (K)). As a result, the structure of Whittaker representations is determined, and all irreducible Whittaker representations are explicitly constructed. Finally, we prove that the annihilator of a Whittaker representation is centrally generated.   相似文献

We obtain a result concerning the maximal possible cardinality Ind q (n, k) of a k-independent set of vectors in the n-dimensional vector space F q n over the finite field F q of order q. The main aim of the paper is to study infinite-dimensional representations of the real form U q (u n, 1) of the quantized universal enveloping algebra U q (gl n + 1). We investigate the principal series of representations of U q (u n, 1) and calculate the intertwining operators for pairs of these representations. Some of the principal series representations are reducible. The structure of these representations is determined. Then we classify irreducible representations of U q (u n, 1) obtained from irreducible and reducible principal series representations. All *-representations in this set of irreducible representations are separated. Unlike the classical case, the algebra U q (u n, 1) has finite-dimensional irreducible *-representations.  相似文献

In order to study a class of finite-dimensional representations of Uq(sl2), we deal with the quotient algebra Uq (m, n, b) of quantum group Uq(sl2) with relations Kr=1, Emr=b, Fnr=0 in this paper, where q is a root of unity. The algebra Uq(m, n, b) is decomposed into a direct sum of indecomposable (left) ideals. The structures of indecomposable projective representations and their blocks are determined.  相似文献

A decomposition of the level-oneq-deformed Fock space representations ofU q(sl n ) is given. It is found that the action ofU q(sl n ) on these Fock spaces is centralized by a Heisenberg algebra, which arises from the center of the affine Hecke algebra N in the limitN . Theq-deformed Fock space is shown to be isomorphic as aU q(sl n )-Heisenberg-bimodule to the tensor product of a level-one irreducible highest weight representation ofU q(sl n ) and the Fock representation of the Heisenberg algebra. The isomorphism is used to decompose theq-wedging operators, which are intertwiners between theq-deformed Fock spaces, into constituents coming fromU q(sl n ) and from the Heisenberg algebra.  相似文献
