Ore Extensions of Ore Domains

Let R be a right Ore domain and φ a derivation or an automorphism of R. We determine the right Martindale quotient ring of the Ore extension R[t; φ] (Theorem 1.1). As an attempt to generalize both the Weyl algebra and the quantum plane, we apply this to rings R such that k[x] ? R ? k(x), where k is a field and x is a commuting variable. The Martindale Quotient quotient ring of R[t; φ] and its automorphisms are computed. In this way, we obtain a family of non-isomorphic infinite dimensional simple domains with all their automorphisms explicitly described.     

Central Extensions and Derivations of the Lie Algebras of Skew Derivations for the Quantum Torus

In this article, we study the central extensions and derivations of the Lie algebra of skew derivations for the quantum torus. Constants and Darboux Polynomials for Tensor Products of Polynomial Algebras with Derivations

Abstract

Let d ₁ : k[X] → k[X] and d ₂ : k[Y] → k[Y] be k-derivations, where k[X] ? k[x ₁,…,x _n ], k[Y] ? k[y ₁,…,y _m ] are polynomial algebras over a field k of characteristic zero. Denote by d ₁ ⊕ d ₂ the unique k-derivation of k[X, Y] such that d| _k[X] = d ₁ and d| _k[Y] = d ₂. We prove that if d ₁ and d ₂ are positively homogeneous and if d ₁ has no nontrivial Darboux polynomials, then every Darboux polynomial of d ₁ ⊕ d ₂ belongs to k[Y] and is a Darboux polynomial of d ₂. We prove a similar fact for the algebra of constants of d ₁ ⊕ d ₂ and present several applications of our results.     

Derivations and Skew Polynomial Rings

Ore Extensions of Multiplier Hopf Algebras

The goal of this article is to generalize the theory of Hopf–Ore extensions on Hopf algebras to multiplier Hopf algebras. First the concept of a Hopf–Ore extension of a multiplier Hopf algebra is introduced. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for Ore extensions to become a multiplier Hopf algebra. Finally, *-structures are constructed on Hopf–Ore extensions, and certain isomorphisms between Hopf–Ore extensions are discussed.     

Ore Extensions of Skew Armendariz Rings

Let α be an endomorphism and δ an α-derivation of a ring R. We introduce the notion of skew-Armendariz rings which are a generalization of α-skew Armendariz rings and α-rigid rings and extend the classes of non reduced skew-Armendariz rings. Some properties of this generalization are established, and connections of properties of a skew-Armendariz ring R with those of the Ore extension R[x; α, δ] are investigated. As a consequence we extend and unify several known results related to Armendariz rings.

McCoy环的Ore扩张(英文)

本文研究了斜多项式环与微分多项式环的McCoy性质,证明了如果环R是α-compatible和可逆的,那么斜多项式R[x;α]是McCoy环当且仅当环R是McCoy环;同时我们也证明了如果环R是δ-compatible与可逆的,那么微分多项式环R[x;δ]是McCoy环当且仅当环R是McCoy环.因此本文对McCoy环的相关结论进行了推广.

Derivations of a Restricted Weyl-Type Algebra Containing the Polynomial Ring

Math. 99 : 447 – 485 .[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]] proved a structure theorem for Gorenstein ideals of grade 3 which claims that every Gorenstein ideal of grade 3 is generated by the submaximal order pfaffians of an alternating matrix. In this article, we characterize some classes of grade 3 perfect ideals which are linked to an almost complete intersection of even type. Furthermore, these structure theorems give us relations between the Gorenstein sequences and the Hilbert functions of the grade 3 perfect ideals that we characterized.     

Annihilators of Skew Derivations with Engel Conditions on Lie Ideals

Let R be a prime ring, L a noncentral Lie ideal of R, and a ∈ R. Set [x, y]₁ = [x, y] = xy ? yx for x, y ∈ R and inductively [x, y]_k = [[x, y]_k?1, y] for k > 1. Suppose that δ is a nonzero σ-derivation of R such that a[δ(x), x]_k = 0 for all x ∈ L, where σ is an automorphism of R and k is a fixed positive integer. Then a = 0 except when char R = 2 and R ? M₂(F), the 2 × 2 matrix ring over a field F.     

On the Derivations of Filiform Leibniz Algebras

The algebras of derivations of naturally graded Leibniz algebras are described. Quotient Rings of Ore Extensions with More than One Indeterminate

Let R be a domain and R[X; D] the Ore extension of R by a sequence D of derivations of R. If D has length ≥ 2, we show that the symmetric Utumi quotient ring of R[X; D] is U _s (R)[X; D], where U _s (R) is the symmetric Utumi quotient ring of R. Consequently, X-inner automorphisms of R[X; D] are induced by units of U _s (R) and the extended centroid of R[X; D] consists of those elements α in the center of U _s (R) such that δ(α) = 0 for all δ ? D. These extend the known results for free algebras.     

Notes on the Kernels of Locally Finite Higher Derivations in Polynomial Rings

Let A = k^[3] be the polynomial ring in three variables over a field k, and let D be a nontrivial locally finite iterative higher derivation on A. Let A^D denote the kernel of D. In this note, we prove that, if chark > 0 and ML(A^D) ≠ A^D, then A^D ? k^[2]. As a consequence of this result, we give another proof of the cancellation theorem for k^[2] over any field k of positive characteristic.     

A Characterization of Generalized Derivations on Prime Rings

Let R be a noncommutative prime ring, U be the left Utumi quotient ring of R, and k, m, n, r be fixed positive integers. If there exist a generalized derivation G and a derivation g (which is independent of G) of R such that [G(x^m)xⁿ + xⁿg(x^m), x^r]_k = 0, for all x ∈ R, then there exists a ∈ U such that G(x) = ax, for all x ∈ R. As a consequence of the result in the present article, one may obtain Theorem 1 in Demir and Argaç [10 Demir, Ç., Argaç, N. (2010). On the Ideals of a Lie Ring of Derivations

Let R be a commutative ring, and D a Lie subring and an R-submodule of Der(R) such that R is D-semiprime (or D-prime). We investigate the structure of the ideals of D as Lie rings. As a consequence, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the ideals of D to be semiprime (or prime, respectively) Lie rings.

On the Jacobson Radical of Skew Polynomial Extensions of Rings Satisfying a Polynomial Identity

Let R be a ring satisfying a polynomial identity, and let D be a derivation of R. We consider the Jacobson radical of the skew polynomial ring R[x; D] with coefficients in R and with respect to D, and show that J(R[x; D]) ∩ R is a nil D-ideal. This extends a result of Ferrero, Kishimoto, and Motose, who proved this in the case when R is commutative.
