The classes of FP-injective and weakly quasi-Frobenius rings are investigated. The properties of both classes of rings are closely related to the embedding of finitely presented modules in fp-flat and free modules, respectively. Using these properties, we characterize the classes of coherent CF- and FGF-rings. Moreover, it is proved that the group ring R(G) is FP-injective (weakly quasi-Frobenius, respectively) if and only if the ring R is FP-injective (weakly quasi-Frobenius) and G is locally finite. A left R-module M is called Gorenstein FP-injective if there is an exact sequence … → E 1 → E 0 → E 0 → E 1 → … of FP-injective left R-modules with M = ker(E 0 → E 1) such that Hom R (P, ?) leaves the sequence exact whenever P is a finitely presented left R-module with pd R (P) < ∞. We investigate functors between abelian categories having a left adjoint and a right adjoint that are similar (these functors are called quasi-Frobenius functors). We introduce the notion of a quasi-Frobenius bimodule and give a characterization of these bimodules in terms of quasi-Frobenius functors. Some applications to corings and graded rings are presented. In particular, the concept of quasi-Frobenius homomorphism of corings is introduced. Finally, a version of the endomorphism ring Theorem for quasi-Frobenius extensions in terms of corings is obtained. 相似文献

We provide sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of normal forms of sequences of HNN extensions defined by Bokut′. Furthermore, we show that under an assumption, which holds for various applications, such normal forms always exist (but might not be unique). The conditions are amenable to be used in automatic theorem provers. We discuss also how to obtain a Gröbner–Shirshov basis from the rewrite rules of Bokut′ normal forms under certain assumptions. Finally, we provide an application drawn from a paper of Aanderaa and Cohen to illustrate the sufficiency conditions. 相似文献

Abstract A ring R is called left P-injective if for every a ∈ R, aR = r(l(a)) where l( ? ) and r( ? ) denote left and right annihilators respectively. The ring R is called left GP-injective if for any 0 ≠ a ∈ R, there exists n > 0 such that a n ≠ 0 and a n R = r(l(a n )). As a response to an open question on GP -injective rings, an example of a left GP-injective ring which is not left P-injective is given. This article continues to investigate a particular case of Gorenstein FP-injective modules, called strongly Gorenstein FP-injective modules. Some examples are given to show that strongly Gorenstein FP-injective modules lie strictly between FP-injective modules and Gorenstein FP-injective modules. Various results are developed, many extending known results in [1]. We also characterize FC rings in terms of strongly Gorenstein FP-injective, projective, and flat modules. 相似文献
