The purpose of this paper is to establish unique solvability for a certain generalized boundary‐value problem for a loaded third‐order integro‐differential equation with variable coefficients. Moreover, the method of integral equations is applied to obtain an equation related to the Riemann‐Liouville operators.  相似文献

In this article, we show that a technique for showing well‐posedness results for evolutionary equations in the sense of Picard and McGhee [Picard, McGhee, Partial Differential Equations: A unified Hilbert Space Approach, DeGruyter, Berlin, 2011] established in [Picard, Trostorff, Wehowski, Waurick, On non‐autonomous evolutionary problems. J. Evol. Equ. 13:751‐776, 2013] applies to a broader class of non‐autonomous integro‐differential‐algebraic equations. Using the concept of evolutionary mappings, we prove that the respective solution operators do not depend on certain parameters describing the underlying spaces in which the well‐posedness results are established. Segregated direct boundary‐domain integral equation (BDIE) systems associated with mixed, Dirichlet and Neumann boundary value problems (BVPs) for a scalar “Laplace” PDE with variable coefficient are formulated and analyzed for domains with interior cuts (cracks). The main results established in the paper are the BDIE equivalence to the original BVPs and invertibility of the BDIE operators in the corresponding Sobolev spaces. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The paper deals with the three‐dimensional Dirichlet boundary value problem (BVP) for a second‐order strongly elliptic self‐adjoint system of partial differential equations in the divergence form with variable coefficients and develops the integral potential method based on a localized parametrix. Using Green's representation formula and properties of the localized layer and volume potentials, we reduce the Dirichlet BVP to a system of localized boundary‐domain integral equations. The equivalence between the Dirichlet BVP and the corresponding localized boundary‐domain integral equation system is studied. We establish that the obtained localized boundary‐domain integral operator belongs to the Boutet de Monvel algebra. With the help of the Wiener–Hopf factorization method, we investigate corresponding Fredholm properties and prove invertibility of the localized operator in appropriate Sobolev (Bessel potential) spaces. In this study, a practical matrix method is presented to find an approximate solution for high‐order linear Fredholm integro‐differential equations with piecewise intervals under the initial boundary conditions in terms of Taylor polynomials. The method converts the integro differential equation to a matrix equation, which corresponds to a system of linear algebraic equations. Error analysis and illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We study integro‐differential inclusions in Hilbert spaces with operator‐valued kernels and give sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness. We show that several types of integro‐differential equations and inclusions are covered by the class of evolutionary inclusions, and we therefore give criteria for the well‐posedness within this framework. As an example, we apply our results to the equations of visco‐elasticity and to a class of nonlinear integro‐differential inclusions describing phase transition phenomena in materials with memory. The article presents a new general solution to a loaded differential equation and describes its properties. Solving a linear boundary value problem for loaded differential equation is reduced to the solving a system of linear algebraic equations with respect to the arbitrary vectors of general solution introduced. The system's coefficients and right sides are computed by solving the Cauchy problems for ordinary differential equations. Algorithms of constructing a new general solution and solving a linear boundary value problem for loaded differential equation are offered. Linear boundary value problem for the Fredholm integro‐differential equation is approximated by the linear boundary value problem for loaded differential equation. A mutual relationship between the qualitative properties of original and approximate problems is obtained, and the estimates for differences between their solutions are given. The paper proposes numerical and approximate methods of solving a linear boundary value problem for the Fredholm integro‐differential equation and examines their convergence, stability, and accuracy.  相似文献

The main aim of this paper is to apply the trigonometric wavelets for the solution of the Fredholm integro‐differential equations of nth‐order. The operational matrices of derivative for trigonometric scaling functions and wavelets are presented and are utilized to reduce the solution of the Fredholm integro‐differential equations to the solution of algebraic equations. Furthermore, we get an estimation of error bound for this method. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is the third in a series of several works devoted to the asymptotic and spectral analysis of a model of an aircraft wing in a subsonic air flow. This model has been developed in the Flight Systems Research Center of UCLA and is presented in the works by Balakrishnan. The model is governed by a system of two coupled integro‐differential equations and a two‐parameter family of boundary conditions modeling the action of the self‐straining actuators. The differential parts of the above equations form a coupled linear hyperbolic system; the integral parts are of the convolution type. The system of equations of motion is equivalent to a single operator evolution–convolution equation in the energy space. The Laplace transform of the solution of this equation can be represented in terms of the so‐called generalized resolvent operator, which is an operator‐valued function of the spectral parameter. This generalized resolvent operator is a finite‐meromorphic function on the complex plane having the branch cut along the negative real semi‐axis. Its poles are precisely the aeroelastic modes and the residues at these poles are the projectors on the generalized eigenspaces. In the first two papers (see [33, 34]) and in the present one, our main object of interest is the dynamics generator of the differential parts of the system. This generator is a non‐self‐adjoint operator in the energy space with a purely discrete spectrum. In the first paper, we have shown that the spectrum consists of two branches, and have derived their precise spectral asymptotics with respect to the eigenvalue number. In the second paper, we have derived the asymptotical approximations for the mode shapes. Based on the asymptotical results of the first two papers, in the present paper, we (a) prove that the set of the generalized eigenvectors of the aforementioned differential operator is complete in the energy space; (b) construct the set of vectors which is biorthogonal to the set of the generalized eigenvectors in the case when there might be not only eigenvectors but associate vectors as well; and (c) prove that the set of the generalized eigenvectors forms a Riesz basis in the energy space. To prove the main result of the paper, we made use of the Nagy–Foias functional model for non‐self‐adjoint operators. The results of all three papers will be important for the reconstruction of the solution of the original initial‐boundary‐value problem from its Laplace transform in the forthcoming papers. Linear and nonlinear elliptic complex partial differential equations of higher‐order are considered under Schwarz conditions in the upper‐half plane. Firstly, using the integral representations for the solutions of the inhomogeneous polyanalytic equation with Schwarz conditions, a class of integral operators is introduced together with some of their properties. Then, these operators are used to transform the problem for linear equations into singular integral equations. In the case of nonlinear equations such a transformation yields a system of integro‐differential equations. Existence of the solutions of the relevant boundary value problems for linear and nonlinear equations are discussed via Fredholm theory and fixed point theorems, respectively.  相似文献

The inverse problem of determining 2D spatial part of integral member kernel in integro‐differential wave equation is considered. It is supposed that the unknown function is a trigonometric polynomial with respect to the spatial variable y with coefficients continuous with respect to the variable x. Herein, the direct problem is represented by the initial‐boundary value problem for the half‐space x>0 with the zero initial Cauchy data and Neumann boundary condition as Dirac delta function concentrated on the boundary of the domain . Local existence and uniqueness theorem for the solution to the inverse problem is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we recall the Oseen coupling method for solving the exterior unsteady Navier–Stokes equations with the non‐homogeneous boundary conditions. Moreover, we derive the coupling variational formulation of the Oseen coupling problem by using of the integral representations of the solution of the Oseen equations at an infinity domain. Finally, we provide some properties of the integral operators over the artificial boundary and the well‐posedness of the coupling variational formulation. In this study, a matrix method is developed to solve approximately the most general higher order linear Fredholm integro‐differential‐difference equations with variable coefficients under the mixed conditions in terms of Taylor polynomials. This technique reduces the problem into the linear algebraic system. The method is valid for any combination of differential, difference and integral equations. An initial value problem and a boundary value problem are also presented to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to present an efficient numerical procedure for solving nonlinear integro‐differential equations. Our method depends mainly on a Taylor expansion approach. This method transforms the integro‐differential equation and the given conditions into the matrix equation which corresponds to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations with unkown Taylor coefficients. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed scheme are demonstrated by some numerical experiments and performed on the computer program written in Maple10. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, a spectral collocation approximation is proposed for neutral and nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integro‐differential equations (VIDEs) with non‐smooth solutions. We use some suitable variable transformations to change the original equation into a new equation, so that the solution of the resulting equation possesses better regularity, and the the Jacobi orthogonal polynomial theory can be applied conveniently. Under reasonable assumptions on the nonlinearity, we carry out a rigorous error analysis in L norm and weighted L2 norm. To perform the numerical simulations, some test examples (linear and nonlinear) are considered with nonsmooth solutions, and numerical results are presented. Further more, the comparative study of the proposed methods with some existing numerical methods is provided.  相似文献

In this paper, using the Riemann‐Liouville fractional integral with respect to another function and the ψ?Hilfer fractional derivative, we propose a fractional Volterra integral equation and the fractional Volterra integro‐differential equation. In this sense, for this new fractional Volterra integro‐differential equation, we study the Ulam‐Hyers stability and, also, the fractional Volterra integral equation in the Banach space, by means of the Banach fixed‐point theorem. As an application, we present the Ulam‐Hyers stability using the α‐resolvent operator in the Sobolev space .  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the new homotopy perturbation method to solve the Volterra's model for population growth of a species in a closed system. This technique is extended to give solution for nonlinear integro‐differential equation in which the integral term represents the total metabolism accumulated fromtime zero. The approximate analytical procedure only depends on two components. The newhomotopy perturbationmethodwas applied to nonlinear integro‐differential equations directly and by converting the problem into nonlinear ordinary differential equation. We also compare this method with some other numerical results and show that the present approach is less computational and is applicable for solving nonlinear integro‐differential equations and ordinary differential equations as well. The initial boundary value problem for an integro‐differential equation with nonlinear damping and source terms in a bounded domain is considered. By modifying the method in a work by Autuori et al. in 2010, we establish the nonexistence result of global solutions with the initial energy controlled by a critical value. This improves earlier results in the literatures. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the numerical solution of delay integro‐differential equations. The main purpose of this work is to provide a new numerical approach based on the use of continuous collocation Taylor polynomials for the numerical solution of delay integro‐differential equations. It is shown that this method is convergent. Numerical illustrations confirm our theoretical analysis. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a fast numerical algorithm based on the Taylor wavelets is proposed for finding the numerical solutions of the fractional integro‐differential equations with weakly singular kernels. The properties of Taylor wavelets are given, and the operational matrix of fractional integration is constructed. These wavelets are utilized to reduce the solution of the given fractional integro‐differential equation to the solution of a linear system of algebraic equations. Also, convergence of the proposed method is studied. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique.  相似文献
