In this paper we verify the Strauss conjecture for semilinear wave equations on asymptotically Euclidean manifolds when n=3,4. We also give an almost sharp lifespan for the subcritical case 2?p<pc when n=3. The main ingredients include a Keel-Smith-Sogge type estimate with 0<μ<1/2 and weighted Strichartz estimates of order two.  相似文献

We describe global time existence nd uniqueness results for the wave equations with boundary conditions of Dirichlet type on a characteresitc cone and either Dirichlet or Neumann type on a timelike tube. We find that the solution is in general only half as regular as the data and we provide estimates which describe the differing differentiabilities of the solution in directions which are either tangent or transvers to the characteristic cone.  相似文献

We give a sufficient condition that non-radial H1-solutions to the Haraux-Weissler equation should belong to the weighted Sobolev space , where ρ is the weight function exp(|x|2/4). In this paper, we consider the asymptotic behavior of an incompressible fluid around a bounded obstacle. By adapting the Schauder's estimate for stationary Navier–Stokes equation to improve the regularity, the problem is solved by using appropriate Carleman estimates. It should be noted that the minimal decaying rate for a general scalar equation is exp?(?C|x|2+). However, the structure of the Navier–Stokes is special. Under the assumption for any nontrivial solution to be uniform bounded which is weaker than those in [10], we got the minimal decaying rate is exp?(?C|x|32+) which is better than the results in general scalar cases.  相似文献

Auscher, McIntosh and Tchamitchian studied the heat kernels of second order elliptic operators in divergence form with complex bounded measurable coefficients on . In particular, in the case when they obtained Gaussian upper bound estimates for the heat kernel without imposing further assumption on the coefficients. We study the fundamental solutions of the systems of second order parabolic equations in the divergence form with bounded, measurable, time-independent coefficients, and extend their results to the systems of parabolic equations.

We investigate further the existence of solutions to kinetic models of chemotaxis. These are nonlinear transport-scattering equations with a quadratic nonlinearity which have been used to describe the motion of bacteria since the 80's when experimental observations have shown they move by a series of ‘run and tumble’. We prove scattering for some radial 3D semilinear Klein-Gordon equations with rough data. First we prove Strichartz-type estimates in mixed norm spaces. Then by using these decays we establish some local bounds. By combining these results to a Morawetz-type estimate and a radial Sobolev inequality we control the variation of an almost conserved quantity on arbitrary large intervals. Once we have showed that this quantity is controlled, we prove that some of these local bounds can be upgraded to global bounds. This is enough to establish scattering. All the estimates involved require a delicate analysis due to the nature of the nonlinearity and the lack of scaling.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the doubling estimates and vanishing order of the Steklov eigenfunctions on the boundary of a smooth domain in ? n . The eigenfunction is given by a Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. We improve the doubling property shown by Bellova and Lin. Furthermore, we show that the optimal vanishing order of Steklov eigenfunction is everywhere less than Cλ where λ is the Steklov eigenvalue and C depends only on Ω.  相似文献

Wave packet techniques provide an effective method for proving Strichartz estimates on solutions to wave equations whose coefficients are not smooth. We use such methods to show that the existing results for C 1, 1 and C 1, α coefficients can be improved when the coefficients of the wave operator lie in a Sobolev space of sufficiently high order.  相似文献

Regression function estimation from independent and identically distributed bounded data is considered. TheL 2 error with integration with respect to the design measure is used as an error criterion. It is shown that the kernel regression estimate with an arbitrary random bandwidth is weakly and strongly consistent forall distributions whenever the random bandwidth is chosen from some deterministic interval whose upper and lower bounds satisfy the usual conditions used to prove consistency of the kernel estimate for deterministic bandwidths. Choosing discrete bandwidths by cross-validation allows to weaken the conditions on the bandwidths. Research supported by DAAD, NSERC and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Let R[f] be the remainder of some approximation method, having estimates of the form f;R[f]f; ρi ; f(i) for i = 0,…, r. In many cases, ρ0 and ρr are known, but not the intermediate error constants ρ1,…,ρr−1. For periodic functions, Ligun (1973) has obtained an estimate for these intermediate error constants by ρ0 and ρr. In this paper, we show that this holds in the nonperiodic case, too. For instance, the estimates obtained can be applied to the error of polynomial or spline approximation and interpolation, or to numerical integration and differentiation.  相似文献

In the present paper, we investigate global-in-time Strichartz estimates without loss on non-trapping asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds. Due to the hyperbolic nature of such manifolds, the set of admissible pairs for Strichartz estimates is much larger than usual. These results generalize the works on hyperbolic space due to Anker–Pierfelice and Ionescu–Staffilani. However, our approach is to employ the spectral measure estimates, obtained in the author's joint work with Hassell, to establish the dispersive estimates for truncated/microlocalized Schrödinger propagators as well as the corresponding energy estimates. Compared with hyperbolic space, the crucial point here is to cope with the conjugate points on the manifold. Additionally, these Strichartz estimates are applied to the L2 well-posedness and L2 scattering for nonlinear Schrödinger equations with power-like nonlinearity and small Cauchy data.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the eigenvalue of p-Laplacian on finite graphs. Under generalized curvature dimensional condition, we obtain a lower bound of the first nonzero eigenvalue of p-Laplacian. Moreover, a upper bound of the largest p-Laplacian eigenvalue is derived.  相似文献
