The problem of equiconvergence of spectral decompositions corresponding to the systems of root functions of two one-dimensional Dirac operators ?P,U and ?0,U with potential P summable on a finite interval and Birkhoff-regular boundary conditions is analyzed. It is proved that in the case of PL?[0, π], ? ∈ (1,∞], equiconvergence holds for every function f ∈ Lμ[0, π], μ ∈ [1,∞], in the norm of the space Lν[0, π], ν ∈ [1,∞], if the indices ?, μ, and ν satisfy the inequality 1/? + 1/μ ? 1/ν ≤ 1 (except for the case when ? = ν = ∞ and μ = 1). In particular, in the case of a square summable potential, the uniform equiconvergence on the interval [0, π] is proved for an arbitrary function f ∈ L2[0, π].  相似文献

In this paper we describe a third class of low discrepancy sequences. Using a lattice Γ ? ? s , we construct Kronecker-like and van der Corput-like ergodic transformations T 1,Γ and T 2,Γ of [0, 1) s . We prove that for admissible lattices Γ, (T ν n (x))n≥0 is a low discrepancy sequence for all x ∈ [0, 1) s and ν ∈ {1, 2}. We also prove that for an arbitrary polyhedron P ? [0, 1) s , for almost all lattices Γ ∈ L s = SL(s,?)/SL(s, ?) (in the sense of the invariant measure on L s ), the following asymptotic formula
$\# \{ 0 \le n < N:T_{v,\Gamma }^n(x) \in P\} = NvolP + O({(\ln N)^{s + \varepsilon }}),N \to \infty$
holds with arbitrary small ? > 0, for all x ∈ [0, 1) s , and ν ∈ {1, 2}.

Let z n denote the sequence of zeros of the Mittag-Leffler function E ρ (z; μ), ρ > 0, μ ∈ ?, which is an entire function of order ρ. With the exception of the case ρ = 1/2, Re μ = 3 an asymptotic behavior of the sequence z n ρ was known earlier up to infinitesimals o(1) having a sharply defined rate of decrease. In this paper the behavior of the sequence z n 1/2 is studied just in this exceptional case. Furthermore, for ρ = 1/2, μ > 3 we give the form of a curvilinear half-plane which is free of the points z n .  相似文献

Let ? be a trace on the unital C*-algebra A and M ? be the ideal of the definition of the trace ?. We obtain a C*analogue of the quantum Hall effect: if P,QA are idempotents and P ? QM ? , then ?((P ? Q)2n+1) = ?(P ? Q) ∈ R for all nN. Let the isometries UA and A = A*∈ A be such that I+A is invertible and U-AM ? with ?(U-A) ∈ R. Then I-A, I?UM ? and ?(I?U) ∈ R. Let nN, dimH = 2n + 1, the symmetry operators U, VB(H), and W = U ? V. Then the operator W is not a symmetry, and if V = V*, then the operator W is nonunitary.  相似文献

For any α ∈ (0, 1), c ∈ ?+ \ {1} and γ > 0 and for Lebesgue almost all irrational ρ ∈ (0, 1), any two C 2+α -smooth circle diffeomorphisms with a break, with the same rotation number ρ and the same size of the breaks c, are conjugate to each other via a C 1-smooth conjugacy whose derivative is uniformly continuous with modulus of continuity ω(x) = A|log x|?γ for some A > 0.  相似文献

Let M be a compact Riemannian manifold and let μ, d be the associated measure and distance on M. Robert McCann, generalizing results for the Euclidean case by Yann Brenier, obtained the polar factorization of Borel maps S: MM pushing forward μ to a measure ν: each S factors uniquely a.e. into the composition S = T ? U, where U: MM is volume preserving and T: MM is the optimal map transporting μ to ν with respect to the cost function d2/2.In this article we study the polar factorization of conformal and projective maps of the sphere S n . For conformal maps, which may be identified with elements of Oo(1, n+1), we prove that the polar factorization in the sense of optimal mass transport coincides with the algebraic polar factorization (Cartan decomposition) of this Lie group. For the projective case, where the group GL+(n + 1) is involved, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for these two factorizations to agree.  相似文献

Let \({\mathbb H^{n+1}}\) denote the n + 1-dimensional (real) hyperbolic space. Let \({\mathbb {S}^{n}}\) denote the conformal boundary of the hyperbolic space. The group of conformal diffeomorphisms of \({\mathbb {S}^{n}}\) is denoted by M(n). Let M o (n) be its identity component which consists of all orientation-preserving elements in M(n). The conjugacy classification of isometries in M o (n) depends on the conjugacy of T and T ?1 in M o (n). For an element T in M(n), T and T ?1 are conjugate in M(n), but they may not be conjugate in M o (n). In the literature, T is called real if T is conjugate in M o (n) to T ?1. In this paper we classify real elements in M o (n). Let T be an element in M o (n). Corresponding to T there is an associated element T o in SO(n + 1). If the complex conjugate eigenvalues of T o are given by \({\{e^{i\theta_j}, e^{-i\theta_j}\}, 0 < \theta_j \leq \pi, j=1,\ldots,k}\) , then {θ1, . . . , θ k } are called the rotation angles of T. If the rotation angles of T are distinct from each-other, then T is called a regular element. After classifying the real elements in M o (n) we have parametrized the conjugacy classes of regular elements in M o (n). In the parametrization, when T is not conjugate to T ?1 , we have enlarged the group and have considered the conjugacy class of T in M(n). We prove that each such conjugacy class can be induced with a fibration structure.  相似文献

We investigate the equiconvergence on TN = [?π, π)N of expansions in multiple trigonometric Fourier series and in the Fourier integrals of functions fLp(TN) and gLp(RN), p > 1, N ≥ 3, g(x) = f(x) on TN, in the case where the “partial sums” of these expansions, i.e., Sn(x; f) and Jα(x; g), respectively, have “numbers” n ∈ ZN and α ∈ RN (nj = [αj], j = 1,..., N, [t] is the integral part of t ∈ R1) containing N ? 1 components which are elements of “lacunary sequences.”  相似文献

Let R be a ring. A subclass T of left R-modules is called a weak torsion class if it is closed under homomorphic images and extensions. Let T be a weak torsion class of left R-modules and n a positive integer. Then a left R-module M is called T-finitely generated if there exists a finitely generated submodule N such that M/NT; a left R-module A is called (T,n)-presented if there exists an exact sequence of left R-modules
$$0 \to {K_{n - 1}} \to {F_{n - 1}} \to \cdots \to {F_1} \to {F_0} \to M \to 0$$
such that F0,..., Fn?1 are finitely generated free and Kn?1 is T-finitely generated; a left R-module M is called (T,n)-injective, if Ext n R (A,M) = 0 for each (T, n+1)-presented left R-module A; a right R-module M is called (T,n)-flat, if Tor R n (M,A) = 0 for each (T, n+1)-presented left R-module A. A ring R is called (T,n)-coherent, if every (T, n+1)-presented module is (n + 1)-presented. Some characterizations and properties of these modules and rings are given.

We study the linear operator pencil A(λ) = L?λV, λ ∈ ?, where L is the Sturm–Liouville operator with potential q(x) and V is the operator of multiplication by the weight ρ(x). The potential and the weight are assumed to belong to the space W 2 ?1 [0, π]. For the pencil A(λ), we seek formulas for the traces of higher negative orders, i.e., for the sums \(\sum\nolimits_{n = 1}^\infty {\lambda _n^{ - p}} \), p ≥ 2, where λn, n ∈ ?, is the sequence of eigenvalues of the pencil numbered in nondescending order of absolute values. Trace formulas in terms of the weight ρ(x) and the integral kernel of the operator L?1 are obtained, and the relationship between these formulas and the classical results about traces of integral operators is described. The theoretical results are illustrated by examples.  相似文献

Let u =(uh, u3) be a smooth solution of the 3-D Navier-Stokes equations in R3× [0, T). It was proved that if u3 ∈ L∞(0, T;˙B-1+3/p p,q(R3)) for 3 p, q ∞ and uh∈ L∞(0, T; BMO-1(R3)) with uh(T) ∈ VMO-1(R3), then u can be extended beyond T. This result generalizes the recent result proved by Gallagher et al.(2016), which requires u ∈ L∞(0, T;˙B-1+3/pp,q(R3)). Our proof is based on a new interior regularity criterion in terms of one velocity component, which is independent of interest.  相似文献

Let τ be a faithful normal semifinite trace on a von Neumann algebra M, let p, 0 < p < ∞, be a number, and let Lp(M, τ) be the space of operators whose pth power is integrable (with respect to τ). Let P and Q be τ-measurable idempotents, and let AP ? Q. In this case, 1) if A ≥ 0, then A is a projection and QA = AQ = 0; 2) if P is quasinormal, then P is a projection; 3) if QM and ALp(M, τ), then A2Lp(M, τ). Let n be a positive integer, n > 2, and A = AnM. In this case, 1) if A ≠ 0, then the values of the nonincreasing rearrangement μt(A) belong to the set {0} ∪ [‖An?2?1, ‖A‖] for all t > 0; 2) either μt(A) ≥ 1 for all t > 0 or there is a t0 > 0 such that μt(A) = 0 for all t > t0. For every τ-measurable idempotent Q, there is aunique rank projection PM with QP = P, PQ = Q, and PM = QM. There is a unique decomposition Q = P + Z, where Z2 = 0, ZP = 0, and PZ = Z. Here, if QLp(M, τ), then P is integrable, and τ(Q) = τ(P) for p = 1. If AL1(M, τ) and if A = A3 and A ? A2M, then τ(A) ∈ R.  相似文献

A polynomial P(ξ) = P(ξ1,..., ξ n ) is said to be almost hypoelliptic if all its derivatives D ν P(ξ) can be estimated from above by P(ξ) (see [16]). By a theorem of Seidenberg-Tarski it follows that for each polynomial P(ξ) satisfying the condition P(ξ) > 0 for all ξ ∈ R n , there exist numbers σ > 0 and T ∈ R1 such that P(ξ) ≥ σ(1 + |ξ|) T for all ξ ∈ R n . The greatest of numbers T satisfying this condition, denoted by ST(P), is called Seidenberg-Tarski number of polynomial P. It is known that if, in addition, P ∈ I n , that is, |P(ξ)| → ∞ as |ξ| → ∞, then T = T(P) > 0. In this paper, for a class of almost hypoelliptic polynomials of n (≥ 2) variables we find a sufficient condition for ST(P) ≥ 1. Moreover, in the case n = 2, we prove that ST(P) ≥ 1 for any almost hypoelliptic polynomial P ∈ I2.  相似文献

Let Mm,n be the set of all m × n real matrices. A matrix A ∈ Mm,n is said to be row-dense if there are no zeros between two nonzero entries for every row of this matrix. We find the structure of linear functions T: Mm,n → Mm,n that preserve or strongly preserve row-dense matrices, i.e., T(A) is row-dense whenever A is row-dense or T(A) is row-dense if and only if A is row-dense, respectively. Similarly, a matrix A ∈ Mn,m is called a column-dense matrix if every column of A is a column-dense vector. At the end, the structure of linear preservers (strong linear preservers) of column-dense matrices is found.  相似文献

Let {φ n (α,β) (z)} n=0 be a system of Jacobi polynomials orthonormal on the circle |z| = 1 with respect to the weight (1 ? cos τ)α+1/2(1 + cos τ)β+1/2 (α, β > ?1), and let \(\psi _n^{\left( {\alpha ,\beta } \right)*} \left( z \right): = z^n \overline {\psi _n^{\left( {\alpha ,\beta } \right)} \left( {{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 {\bar z}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\bar z}}} \right)}\)). We establish relations between the polynomial φ n (α,?1/2) (z) and the nth (C, α ? 1/2)-mean of the Maclaurin series for the function (1 ? z)?α?3/2 and also between the polynomial φ n (α,?1/2)* (z) and the nth (C, α + 1/2)-mean of the Maclaurin series for the function (1 ? z)?α?1/2. We use these relations to derive an asymptotic formula for φ n (α,?1/2) (z); the formula is uniform inside the disk |z| < 1. It follows that φ n (α,?1/2) (z) ≠ 0 in the disk |z| ≤ ρ for fixed φ ∈ (0, 1) and α > ?1 if n is sufficiently large.  相似文献

Let {Q n (α,β) (x)} n=0 denote the sequence of polynomials orthogonal with respect to the non-discrete Sobolev inner product
$\langle f,g\rangle=\int_{-1}^{1}f(x)g(x)d\mu_{\alpha,\beta}(x)+\lambda\int_{-1}^{1}f'(x)g'(x)d\nu_{\alpha,\beta}(x)$
where λ>0 and d μ α,β(x)=(x?a)(1?x)α?1(1+x)β?1 dx, d ν α,β(x)=(1?x) α (1+x) β dx with aα,β>0. Their inner strong asymptotics on (?1,1), a Mehler-Heine type formula as well as some estimates of the Sobolev norms of Q n (α,β) are obtained.

The stationary processes of waiting times {W n } n = 1,2,… in a GI/G/1 queue and queue sizes at successive departure epochs {Q n}n = 1,2,… in an M/G/1 queue are long-range dependent when 3 < κ S < 4, where κ S is the moment index of the independent identically distributed (i.i.d.) sequence of service times. When the tail of the service time is regularly varying at infinity the stationary long-range dependent process {W n } has Hurst index ½(5?κ S ), i.e.
${\rm sup} \left\{h : {\rm lim sup}_{n\to\infty}\, \frac{{\rm var}(W_1+\cdots+W_n)}{n^{2h}} = \infty \right\} = \frac{5-\kappa_S} {2}\,.$
If this assumption does not hold but the sequence of serial correlation coefficients {ρ n } of the stationary process {W n } behaves asymptotically as cn for some finite positive c and α ? (0,1), where α = κ S ? 3, then {W n } has Hurst index ½(5?κ S ). If this condition also holds for the sequence of serial correlation coefficients {r n } of the stationary process {Q n } then it also has Hurst index ½(5κ S )

Let χ = {χ n } n=0 be the Haar system normalized in L 2(0, 1) and M = {M s } s=1 be an arbitrary, increasing sequence of nonnegative integers. For any subsystem of χ of the form {φ k } = χS = {χ n } nS , where S = S(M) = {n k } k=1 = {nV[p]: pM}, V[0] = {1, 2} and V[p] = {2 p + 1, 2 p + 2, …, 2 p+1} for p = 1, 2, … a series of the form Σ i=1 a i φ i with a i ↘ 0 is constructed, that is universal with respect to partial series in all classes L r (0, 1), r ∈ (0, 1), in the sense of a.e. convergence and in the metric ofL r (0, 1). The constructed series is universal in the class of all measurable, finite functions on [0, 1] in the sense of a.e. convergence. It is proved that there exists a series by Haar system with decreasing coefficients, which has the following property: for any ? > 0 there exists a measurable function µ(x), x ∈ [0, 1], such that 0 ≤ µ(x) ≤ 1 and |{x ∈ [0, 1], µ(x) ≠ = 1}| < ?, and the series is universal in the weighted space L µ[0, 1] with respect to subseries, in the sense of convergence in the norm of L µ[0, 1].  相似文献
