In this paper we present a survey of rates of pointwise approximation of modified Gamma operators Gn for locally bounded functions and absolutely continuous functions by using some inequalities and results of probability theory with the method of Bojanic-Cheng. In the paper a kind of locally bounded functions is introduced with different growth conditions in the fields of both ends of interval (0,+∞), and it is found out that the operators have different properties compared to the Gamma operators discussed in [X.M. Zeng, Approximation properties of Gamma operators, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 311 (2005) 389-401]. And we obtain two main theorems. Theorem 1 gives an estimate for locally bounded functions which subsumes the approximation of functions of bounded variation as a special case. Theorem 2 gives an estimate for absolutely continuous functions which is best possible in the asymptotical sense.  相似文献

New index transforms, involving the real part of the modified Bessel function of the first kind as the kernel are considered. Mapping properties such as the boundedness and invertibility are investigated for these operators in the Lebesgue spaces. Inversion theorems are proved. As an interesting application, a solution of the initial value problem for the second-order partial differential equation, involving the Laplacian, is obtained. It is noted that the corresponding operators with the imaginary part of the modified Bessel function of the first kind lead to the familiar Kontorovich–Lebedev transform and its inverse.  相似文献

In this paper, in order to make the convergence faster to a function being approximated, we modify the Bernstein–Durrmeyer type operators, which were introduced in Abel et al. (Nonlinear Anal Ser A Theory Methods Appl 68(11):3372–3381, 2008). The modified operators reproduce the constant and linear functions. The operators discussed here are different from the other modifications of Bernstein type operators. The Voronovskaja type asymptotic formula with quantitative estimate for a new type of complex Durrmeyer polynomials, attached to analytic functions in compact disks is obtained. Here, we put in evidence the overconvergence phenomenon for this kind of Durrmeyer polynomials, namely the extensions of approximation properties with exact quantitative estimates, from the real interval [0, 1/3] to compact disks in the complex plane.  相似文献

The authors investigate the approximation of bounded functions with discontinuities of the first kind by generalized Shepard operators. Estimate for the rate of convergence at a continuity point is obtained, while at the points of discontinuity it is shown that the sequence of generalized Shepard operators is almost always divergent. It is also shown that the sequence of Cesàro means of generalized Shepard operators is convergent everywhere for bounded functions which have only discontinuities of the first kind in [0,1].  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the class of linear partial differential equations of second order such that there exist Bergman operators with polynomial kernels (cf, [12]). In an earlier paper [ll] the authors have shown that these equations also admit differential operators as introduced by K. W. Bauer [I]. In the present paper, relations between different types of representations of solutions are investigated. These representations are of interest in developing a function theory of solutions; cf., for instance, K. W. Bauer [I] and S. Ruscheweyh [19]. They are also essential to global extensions of local results obtained by means of Bergman operators of the first kind. The inversion problem for those operators is solved, and it is shown that all solutions of equations of that class which are holomorphic in a domain of C2 can be represented by operators with polynomial kernels. Furthermore, a construction principle for deriving the equations investigated by K. W. Bauer [2] is obtained; this yields corresponding representations of solutions by differential and integral operators in a systematic fashion  相似文献

In this paper we develop a method for the approximation of a broad class of operator equations by reproducing kernels. The relevant operators are defined on Hilbert spaces. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the convergence of the approximation are discussed in detail. The results can be applied-for example-to Fredholm integral operators of the first and second kind and to ordinary and partial differential operators of elliptic type. Integral equations of the first kind for exterior problems arising in the study of the three‐dimensional Helmholtz equation are considered. These equations are derived by seeking solutions in the form of layer potentials with modified fundamental solutions. For each first kind equation, existence and uniqueness of solution are proved with the aid of composition relations involving associated modified boundary integral operators. For the Dirichlet problem, an optimal choice of the modification coefficients is considered in order to minimize the condition number of the resulting integral operator. We study unique solvability of a nonlocal problem for equations of mixed type in a finite domain. This equation contains the partial fractional Riemann–Liouville derivative. The boundary condition of the problem contains a linear combination of operators of fractional differentiation in the sense of Riemann–Liouville of values of function derivative on the degeneration line and generalized operators of fractional integro-differentiation in the sense of M. Saigo. The uniqueness theorem of the problem is proved by a modified Tricomi method. The existence of solutions is equivalently reduced to the solvability of Fredholm integral equation of the second kind.  相似文献

Derndinger [2] and Krupa [5] defined the F‐product of a (strongly continuous one‐parameter) semigroup (of linear operators) and presented some applications (e. g. to spectral theory of positive operators, cf. [3]). Wolff (in [7] and [8]) investigated some kind of nonstandard analogon and applied it to spectral theory of group representations. The question arises in which way these constructions are related. In this paper we show that the classical and the nonstandard F‐product are isomorphic (Theorem 2.6).
