Complexes of Co(II) with new ligands N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxoprop-2-enyl) 2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine (C(21)H(17)N(3)O(6)), N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxopropanyl) 2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine (C(21)H(21)N(3)O(6)) and N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxophenelenyl) 2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine (C(29)H(21)N(3)O(6)) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, vibrational spectra, electronic spectra, TOF-mass spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermal studies and X-ray powder diffraction studies. Vibrational spectra indicate coordination of amide and carboxylate oxygen of the ligands along with two water molecules giving a MO(6) weak field octahedral chromophore. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal octahedral geometry for Co(II) complexes. The elemental analyses and mass spectral data have justified the ML complexes. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed from the thermal data using Coats and Redfern method, which confirm first-order kinetics. Powder diffraction determines the cell parameters of the complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of Cu(II) with bioactive carboxyamide ligands N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxoprop-2-enyl)2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine, N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxopropanyl)2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine and N',N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxophenelenyl)2-amino-N-arylbenzamidine have been synthesized and characterized by various physico-chemical techniques. Mass spectrum explains the successive degradation of the molecular species in solution and justifies ML complexes. Vibrational spectra indicate coordination of amide and carboxylate oxygen of the ligands along with water molecules. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal octahedral geometry for Cu(II) complexes. The EPR of the reported complex show g( parallel)>g( perpendicular)>2.0023 and G value within the range 2.08-4.49 are consistent with [Formula: see text] ground state in an octahedral geometry. The voltammogram of the copper(II) complex shows a quasi-reversible redox process and a simple one electron process assignable to the Cu(II)/Cu(I) couple. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed from the thermal data using Coats and Redfern method, which confirm first order kinetics. The bio-efficacy of the ligands and its copper complexes have been examined against the growth of bacteria and pathogenic fungi in vitro to evaluate their antimicrobial potential. The results indicate that the ligand and its metal complexes possess notable antimicrobial properties.  相似文献

Novel complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) with the new ligand [N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxo-phenelenyl)ethylenediamine] (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, thermal, infrared, electronic, 1H NMR and EPR spectral studies. Infrared and 1H NMR spectra show that H2L acts as a binegative tetradentate ligand. Coordination occurs through deprotonated carboxylate oxygens and nondeprotonated amido nitrogens in all the complexes. Electronic spectral studies and magnetic moment values suggest N2O2 coordination around each metal centre with strong field square planar chromophores. The probable structures of the complexes have been assigned on the basis of spectral studies. The complex formation between M(II) [M(II) = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)] and (L2-) has also been studied potentiometrically in 75% aqueous DMF at 25 degrees C in 0.1 M NaClO4. The stability constants were found to follow the order: Mn(II) < Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II).  相似文献

Complexes of Cu(II) with N,N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxopropanyl)-1,2-ethylenediamine(C(10)H(16)N(2)O(6),L(1)), N,N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxopropanyl)-1,2-phenylenediamine(C(14)H(16)N(2)O(6),L(2)), N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxophenelenyl)-1,2-phenylenediamine(C(22)H(16)N(2)O(6),L(3)) and N,N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxoprop-2-enyl)-1,2-phenylenediamine(C(14)H(12)N(2)O(6),L(4)) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analyses, vibrational spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, ligand field spectra, EPR spectra, thermal studies and X-ray diffraction spectra. Vibrational spectra indicate coordination of amide and carboxylate oxygens of the ligands giving a MO(4) square planar chromophore. Ligand field and EPR spectra support square planar geometry around Cu(II). [Cu(L(1))] complex has the maximum activation energy and [Cu(L(3))] complex has the minimum activation energy.  相似文献

4,6-Diacetylresorcinol (DAR) serves as precursor for the formation of different hydrazone ligands, which are di-, tetra- or hexa-basic with two symmetrical sets of O(2)N tridentate, O(2)N(2) tetradentate or O(4)N(2) hexadentate chelating sites. The condensation of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol (DAR) with oxalyldihydrazine (ODH), in the molar ratio 1:1 and 1:2, yields the corresponding hydrazone, H(6)L(a) and H(4)L(b), ligands, respectively. The structures of these ligands were elucidated by elemental analyses and IR, mass, (1)H NMR and UV-vis spectra. Reactions of the hydrazone ligands with cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), zinc(II), cadmium(II), iron(III) and chromium(III) ions in 1:2 molar ratio afforded the corresponding transition metal complexes. A variety of binuclear transition metal complexes were obtained in its di-, tetra- or hexa-deprotonated forms. The structures of the newly prepared complexes were identified by elemental analyses and IR, UV-vis, mass, (1)H NMR and ESR spectra, as well as, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The bonding sites are the azomethine and CO oxygen atoms in either keto or enol forms and amino nitrogen atoms, and phenolic oxygen atoms. The metal complexes exhibit different geometrical structures such as tetrahedral and octahedral arrangements.  相似文献

Four new dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes were prepared using different acylhydrazones. Hydrazones used for complexation were derived from 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-4-methoxyacetophenone, benzhydrazide and nicotinoyl hydrazide. The complexes were characterized by various spectroscopic techniques, thermal and elemental analyses. The (1)H NMR and IR spectral data indicate tridentate nature of the ligands through enolization. IR spectra provide information about the dimeric nature of the complexes. The thermal analyses of the complexes showed the presence of lattice water in some of the complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of CrIII, MnII, ZnII & CdII with the polydentate carboxamide ligandN′, N′′-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxoprop-2-enyl) 2-Amino-N-arylbenzamidine (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic studies (Vibrational, electronic, ESR and 1H-NMR), magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermal studies and powder diffraction studies. The vibrational spectral data are in agreement with coordination of amide and carboxylate oxygen of the ligands with the metal ions. The electronic spectra indicates octahedral or tetrahedral geometry around the metal ions, has been supported by magnetic susceptibility measurements. The results of electron spin resonance & 1H-NMR spectra have supported the results of other spectral techniques. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters were computed from the thermal data using Coats and Redfern method, which confirm first order kinetics. Powder diffraction determines the cell parameters of the complexes.  相似文献

Dimeric (hydrated and anhydrated) complexes of Cu(II) with N,N'-bis(3-carboxy-1-oxo-2-prop-2-enyl)ethylenediamine(BCOPENH(2), A) and N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxo-phenylenyl)ethylenediamine(BCOPHENH(2), B) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, EPR, thermal and spectral (IR, UV/Vis) studies. EPR parameters and magnetic behaviour indicates that the complexes are antiferromagnetic in nature and most likely adopt the typical carboxylate cage structure. Interesting amide bonding patterns have been observed and various EPR parameters have been evaluated on the basis of these studies, tentative probable structures of the complexes have been proposed.  相似文献

The bifunctional carbonyl compound; 4,6-diacetylresorcinol (DAR) serves as precursor for the formation of different Schiff base ligands, which are either di- or tetra-basic with two symmetrical sets of either O2N or N2O tridentate chelating sites. The condensation of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol with 3-amino-1-propanol (3-AP) or 1,3-diaminopropane (DAP), yields the corresponding hexadentate Schiff base ligands, abbreviated as H4La and H2Lb, respectively. The structures of these ligands were elucidated by elemental analyses, IR, mass, 1H NMR and electronic spectra. Reaction of the Schiff base ligands with copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), zinc(II), cadmium(II), iron(III), chromium(III), vanadyl(IV) and uranyl(VI) ions in 1:2 molar ratio afforded the corresponding transition metal complexes. A variety of binuclear complexes for the metal complexes were obtained with the ligands in its di- or tetra-deprotonated forms. The structures of the newly prepared complexes were identified by elemental analyses, infrared, electronic, mass, 1H NMR and ESR spectra as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The bonding sites are the azomethine and amino nitrogen atoms, and phenolic and alcoholic oxygen atoms. The metal complexes exhibit different geometrical arrangements such as square planar, tetrahedral, square pyramid and octahedral arrangement.  相似文献

Microwave synthesis, is green chemical method, simple, sensitive, reducing solvent amount and reaction time. The attempt was made to synthesize the unsymmetrical tetradentate N(2)O(2) ligands and their VO(IV) and MoO(V) unsymmetrical tetradentate Schiff base complexes by classical and microwave techniques using domestic microwave oven. The resulting unsymmetrical Schiff base ligands L(1)-L(3) characterized by different spectral methods. Their complexes with oxocations of VO(IV) and MoO(V) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, conductometric measurements, infrared and electronic absorption, (1)H NMR spectra, mass spectrometry, ESR spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurement and thermal study. The study suggests that the oxo metal ion is bonded to the ligand through the oxygen and imino nitrogen and the geometry around metal ion is distorted octahedral.  相似文献

4-Ethylthiosemicarbazide and its NH(1) derivatives have been prepared and confirmed by elemental analysis and 1H?NMR spectra to produce diverse complexes with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions. The obtained complexes have been investigated based on elemental and thermal analyses, spectral (UV/VIS, ESR, mass) studies and magnetic measurements. The IR data reveal the presence of variable modes of chelation for the investigated ligands. The electronic spectra of the complexes as well as their magnetic moments provide information about geometries. The ESR spectra give evidence for the proposed structure and the bonding for some Cu(II) complexes. Thermal decomposition of some complexes ended with metal or metal oxide as a final product.  相似文献

3-phenyl-4-arylazo-5-pyrazolones (I-IV) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental, infrared (IR), ultraviolet and visible spectra (UV-Vis), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) and Mass spectra. It has been proved that these compounds exhibit a keto-enol tautomerism in solution. The donor character of the substituent increases the enol form. The ionization constants of the investigated ligands have been determined potentiometrically and found to decrease in the order OCH(3)(IV)>CH(3)(III)>H(I)>Cl(II). The Co(II) complexes of the investigated 3-phenyl-4-arylazo-5-pyrazolones (I-IV) have been prepared and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses as well as by IR, UV-Vis, electronic transition, potentiometric, conductimetric and magnetic measurements. The data suggest octahedral geometry for Co(II) (1:1) complexes and tetrahedral for Co(II) (2:3) complexes.  相似文献

N-(thiophen-2-ylmethylene)benzo[d]thiazol-2-amine Schiff base (L) derived from 2-aminobenzothiazole and 2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde was synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, IR, mass spectra, (1)H NMR and UV-vis spectra. Its complexes with Cu(II), Fe(III), Ni(II) and Zn(II) were prepared and isolated as solid products and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, spectral techniques as well as magnetic susceptibility. The IR spectra showed that the Schiff base under investigation behaves as bidentate ligand. The UV-vis spectra and magnetic moment data suggested octahedral geometry around Cu(II) and Fe(III) and tetrahedral geometry around Ni(II) and Zn(II). In view of the biological activity of the Schiff base and its complexes, it has been observed that the antimicrobial activity of the Schiff base increased on complexation with the metal ion. In vitro antitumor activity assayed against five human tumor cell lines furnished the significant toxicities of the Schiff base and its complexes.  相似文献

Two series of new binuclear complexes with Schiff base ligands, H(4)L(a) or H(2)L(b), derived from the reaction of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol and ethylenediamine, in the molar ratio 1:1 and 1:2 have been prepared, respectively. The two ligands react with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Cr(III) and Fe(III)-nitrates to get binuclear complexes. The ligands were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis, (1)H NMR and mass spectra. The complexes were synthesized by direct and template methods. Different types of products were obtained for the same ligand and metal salts according to the method of preparation. The H(4)L(a) ligand behaves as a macrocyclic tetrabasic with two N(2)O(2) sits, while the H(2)L(b) ligand behaves as a dibasic with two N(2)O sites. The H(4)L(a) ligand is a compartmental ligand which hosts the two metal ions at the centers of two cis-N(2)O(2) sites, while the metal complexes of H(2)L(b) ligand are binuclear, where the ligand hosts two metal ions at the centers of two N(2)O sites. In both cases, deprotonation of the hydrogen atoms of the phenolic OH groups occur except in the case of the Ni(II), Fe(III) and Cr(III) complexes. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments of the complexes indicate that the geometries of the metal centers are either octahedral or tetrahedral. The structures are consistent with the IR, UV-vis, ESR, (1)H NMR, mass spectra, and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA/DTA) as well as conductivity and magnetic moment measurements.  相似文献

Hexachlorocyclophosph(V)azane of sulfadiazine, (sulfupyrimidine) [N(1)-2-pyrimidinylsulfanilamide] (H2L1), was prepared and reacted with sulfur and glycine to give (H2L2) and (H2L3) ligands, respectively. The prepared ligands; H2L1, H2L2 and H2L3, react in 1:2 [ligands]:[metal ions] molar ratio with transition metals to give coloured complexes in a relatively good yields. The complexes were characterized using different physicochemical techniques, namely elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, mass, 1H NMR, molar conductance, magnetic, solid reflectance and thermal analysis. The spectral data reveal that all the ligands behave as neutral bidentate ligands and coordinated to the metal ions via pyrimidine-N and enolic sulfonamide OH. The molar conductance data reveal that the complexes are non-electrolytes while UV-vis, solid reflectance and magnetic moment data have been shown that the complexes have octahedral geometry. The thermal behaviour of the complexes is studied and the thermodynamic activation parameters are calculated. The ligands and their complexes show high to moderate bactericidal activity.  相似文献

A series of biologically active complexes of oxorhenium(V), were prepared by using the organic ligands 3-hydrazino-5,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine (HL1), benzimidazolethione (H2L2) and 2-hydrazinobenzimidazole (H2L3). The mixed ligand complexes of oxorhenium(V) with the previous ligands and one of the following ligands: NH4SCN, 1,10-phenanthroline (1,10-phen), 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-OHquin) or glycine (Gly), were isolated. All the binary and mixed ligand complexes have monomeric structures and exist in the octahedral configuration. Thermal studies on these complexes showed the possibility of structural transformation from mononuclear into binuclear ones. The structures of all complexes and the corresponding thermal products were elucidated by elemental analyses, IR, electronic absorption and 1H NMR spectra, magnetic moments, conductance and TG-DSC measurements. The antifungal activities of the metal complexes towards Alternaria alternata and Aspergilus niger were tested and showed comparable behaviour with some well known antibiotics.  相似文献

New complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with new Schiff bases derived by the condensation of p-aminoacetophenoneoxime with 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde are synthesized. The compounds are characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, electronic spectral data, and molar conductivity. The thermal stabilities of the compounds are also reported. The Schiff base acts as bidentate O,N-donor atoms, and their metal complexes are supposed to possess a tetrahedral geometry with respect to the central metal ion. The general formula of the 5-methoxysalicyliden-p-aminoacetophenoneoxime Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes is Co(L)2, Ni(L)2, Cu(L)2, and Zn(L)2.  相似文献

Complexes of ruthenium(III) with N,N'-disalicylidene-l,2-phenylenediamine (H2dsp), N,N'-disalicylidene-3,4-diaminotoluene (H2dst), 4-nitro-N,N'-disalicylidene-1,2-phenylenediamine (H2ndsp) and N,N'-disalicylidene ethylenediamine (H2salen) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, spectral methods (mid-infrared, 1H NMR and UV-vis spectra) and simultaneous thermal analysis (TG and DTG) techniques. The molar conductance measurements proved that all these complexes are non-electrolytes. The electronic spectra measurements were used to infer the structures. The IR spectra of the ligands and their complexes are used to identify the type of bonding. The kinetic thermodynamic parameters such as: E*, DeltaH*, DeltaS* and DeltaG* are estimated from the DTG curves. The four ligands and their complexes have been studied for their possible biological antifungal activity.  相似文献
