A solvothermal reaction of Zn(NO3)2 ? 6 H2O, tetra‐(4‐pyridyl)porphyrin (H2TPyP), and 4,4′‐oxybis(benzoic acid) (H2OBA) resulted in a new two‐dimensional Zn‐ porphyrin metal–organic framework compound, [Zn2(C40H24N8)0.5(C14H8O5)(DMA)](DMA)(H2O)6 ( 1 ; DMA=N,N‐dimethylacetamide). The ZnII ions present in 1 could be exchanged by using a solution of Cu(NO3)2 ? 3 H2O in DMA at room temperature to give [Cu2(C40H24N8)0.5(C14H8O5)(DMA)](DMA)(H2O)3 ( Cu1 ). The extra‐framework solvent molecules have been shown to be reversibly removed or exchanged without collapse of the framework. Solvent‐free Cu1 was explored as an active heterogeneous catalyst towards three different organic reactions: 1) the chemical fixation of CO2 into cyclic carbonate at room temperature and 1 atm; 2) the nitroaldol reaction under solvent‐free conditions, and 3) the three‐component coupling of aminopyridine, benzaldehyde, and aryl alkynes followed by 5‐exo‐dig cyclization to produce the important pharmacophore imidazopyridine.  相似文献

Assembly of Zn(NO3)2 with the tripodal ligand H3TCPB (1,3,5‐tri(4‐carboxyphenoxy)benzene) affords two porous isoreticular metal‐organic frameworks, [Zn3(TCPB)2?2DEF]? 3DEF ( 1 ) and [Zn3(TCPB)2?2H2O]? 2H2O?4DMF ( 2 ). Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses reveal that 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c and possesses a 2D network containing 1D microporous opening channels with an effective size of 3.0×2.9 Å2, whereas 2 crystallizes in the trigonal space group c1 and also possesses a 2D network containing 1D channels, with an effective aperture of 4.0×4.0 Å2. TOPOS analysis reveals that both 1 and 2 have a (3,6)‐connected network topology with the Schläfli symbol of (43?612) (43)2. According to the variable‐temperature powder X‐ray diffraction patterns, the solid phase of 1 can be converted into that of 2 during a temperature‐induced dynamic structural transformation, thus indicating that the framework of 2 represents the most thermally stable polymorph. Desolvated 2 exhibits highly selective adsorption behaviors toward H2/N2, CO2/N2, and CO2/CH4; furthermore, it displays size‐selective catalytic activity towards carbonyl cyanosilylation and Henry (nitroaldol) reactions.  相似文献

A new 3D tubular zinc phosphite, Zn2(C22H22N8)0.5(HPO3)2?H2O ( 1 ), incorporating a tetradentate organic ligand was synthesized under hydro(solvo)thermal conditions and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Compound 1 is the first example of inorganic zincophosphite chains being interlinked through 1,2,4,5‐tetrakis(imidazol‐1‐ylmethyl)benzene to form a tubular porous framework with unusual organic–inorganic hybrid channels. The thermal and chemical stabilities, high capacity for CO2 adsorption compared to that for N2 adsorption, and interesting optical properties of LED devices fabricated using this compound were also studied.  相似文献

Two new Zn2+‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) based on biphenyl‐2,2′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylic acid, i.e. H4(o,m‐bpta), and N‐donor ligands, namely, poly[[(μ4‐biphenyl‐2,2′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylato)bis{[1,3‐phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1H‐imidazole)}dizinc(II)] dimethylformamide monosolvate dihydrate], {[Zn2(C16H6O8)(C14H14N4)2]·C3H7NO·2H2O}n or {[Zn2(o,m‐bpta)(1,3‐bimb)2]·C3H7NO·2H2O}n ( 1 ) {1,3‐bimb = [1,3‐phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1H‐imidazole)}, and poly[[(μ4‐biphenyl‐2,2′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylato)bis{[1,4‐phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1H‐imidazole)}dizinc(II)] monohydrate], {[Zn2(C16H6O8)(C14H14N4)2]·H2O}n or {[Zn2(o,m‐bpta)(1,4‐bimb)2]·H2O}n ( 2 ) {1,4‐bimb = [1,4‐phenylenebis(methylene)]bis(1H‐imidazole)}, have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions. The complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and powder X‐ray diffraction analysis. Structurally, the (o,m‐bpta)4? ligands are fully deprotonated and combine with Zn2+ ions in μ4‐coordination modes. Complex 1 is a (3,4)‐connected porous network with honeycomb‐like [Zn2(o,m‐bpta)]n sheets formed by 4‐connected (o,m‐bpta)4? ligands. Complex 2 exhibits a (2,4)‐connected network formed by 4‐connected (o,m‐bpta)4? ligands linking Zn2+ ions in left‐handed helical chains. The cis‐configured 1,3‐bimb and 1,4‐bimb ligands bridge Zn2+ ions to form multi‐membered [Zn2(bimb)2] loops. Optically, the complexes show strong fluorescence and display larger red shifts compared to free H4(o,m‐bpta). Complex 2 shows ferroelectric properties due to crystallizing in the C2v polar point group.  相似文献

In the title coordination polymer, [Zn2(C14H8N2O4)2(C12H10N2)]n, the asymmetric unit contains one ZnII cation, two halves of 2,2′‐(diazene‐1,2‐diyl)dibenzoate anions (denoted L2−) and half of a 1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethene ligand (denoted bpe). The three ligands lie across crystallographic inversion centres. Each ZnII centre is four‐coordinated by three O atoms of bridging carboxylate groups from three L2− ligands and by one N atom from a bpe ligand, forming a tetrahedral coordination geometry. Two ZnII atoms are bridged by two carboxylate groups of L2− ligands, generating a [Zn2(CO2)2] ring. Each loop serves as a fourfold node, which links its four equivalent nodes via the sharing of four L2− ligands to form a two‐dimensional [Zn2L4]n net. These nets are separated by bpe ligands acting as spacers, producing a three‐dimensional framework with a 4664 topology. Powder X‐ray diffraction and solid‐state photoluminescence were also measured.  相似文献

Two different 3D porous metal–organic frameworks, [Zn4O(NTN)2]?10 DMA?7 H2O ( SNU‐150 ) and [Zn5(NTN)4(DEF)2][NH2(C2H5)2]2?8 DEF?6 H2O ( SNU‐151 ), are synthesized from the same metal and organic building blocks but in different solvent systems, specifically, in the absence and the presence of a small amount of acid. SNU‐150 is a doubly interpenetrated neutral framework, whereas SNU‐151 is a non‐interpenetrated anionic framework containing diethylammonium cations in the pores. Comparisons of the N2, H2, CO2, and CH4 gas adsorption capacities as well as the CO2 adsorption selectivity over N2 and CH4 in desolvated SNU‐150′ (BET: 1852 m2 g?1) and SNU‐151′ (BET: 1563 m2 g?1) samples demonstrate that the charged framework is superior to the neutral framework for gas storage and gas separation, despite its smaller surface area and different framework structure.  相似文献

With the rapid development of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), a variety of MOFs and their derivatives have been synthesized and reported in recent years. Commonly, multifunctional aromatic polycarboxylic acids and nitrogen‐containing ligands are employed to construct MOFs with fascinating structures. 4,4′,4′′‐(1,3,5‐Triazine‐2,4,6‐triyl)tribenzoic acid (H3TATB) and the bidentate nitrogen‐containing ligand 1,3‐bis[(imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]benzene (bib) were selected to prepare a novel ZnII‐MOF under solvothermal conditions, namely poly[[tris{μ‐1,3‐bis[(imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]benzene}bis[μ3‐4,4′,4′′‐(1,3,5‐triazine‐2,4,6‐triyl)tribenzoato]trizinc(II)] dimethylformamide disolvate trihydrate], {[Zn3(C24H12N3O6)2(C14H14N4)3]·2C3H7NO·3H2O}n ( 1 ). The structure of 1 was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and powder X‐ray diffraction. The properties of 1 were investigated by thermogravimetric and fluorescence analysis. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction shows that 1 belongs to the monoclinic space group Pc. The asymmetric unit contains three crystallographically independent ZnII centres, two 4,4′,4′′‐(1,3,5‐triazine‐2,4,6‐triyl)tribenzoate (TATB3?) anions, three complete bib ligands, one and a half free dimethylformamide molecules and three guest water molecules. Each ZnII centre is four‐coordinated and displays a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The ZnII centres are connected by TATB3? anions to form an angled ladder chain with large windows. Simultaneously, the bib ligands link ZnII centres to give a helical Zn–bib–Zn chain. Furthermore, adjacent ladders are bridged by Zn–bib–Zn chains to form a fascinating three‐dimensional self‐penetrated framework with the short Schläfli symbol 65·7·813·9·10. In addition, the luminescence properties of 1 in the solid state and the fluorescence sensing of metal ions in suspension were studied. Significantly, compound 1 shows potential application as a fluorescent sensor with sensing properties for Zr4+ and Cu2+ ions.  相似文献

An effective method was developed for the synthesis of three cluster‐based frameworks with multifarious secondary building units (SBUs) and various structures, which were formulated as [Me2NH2]2[Zn10(BTC)63‐O)(μ4‐O)(H2O)5] · 3DMA · 9H2O ( FJI ‐ 3 ), [Me2NH2]2[Zn93‐OH)2(BTC)6(H2O)3] · 5DMA · 6H2O ( FJI ‐ 4 ) and [Me2NH2][Zn33‐OH)(BTC)2DMF] · H2O ( FJI ‐ 5 ) (H3BTC = 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylic acid, DMA = N,N′‐dimethyl acetamide and DMF = N,N′‐dimethyl formamide), respectively. X‐ray structural analysis reveals that FJI ‐ 3 displays 3D highly porous metal‐organic framework with four kinds of microporous cages constructed by two paddle‐wheel Zn2(CO2)4, trimeric Zn3O(CO2)6, and tetrameric Zn4O(CO2)6 SBUs. FJI ‐ 4 exhibits 3D microporous MOFs with a dodecahedral cavities built by paddle‐wheel Zn2(CO2)4 and trimeric Zn3O(CO2)6. FJI ‐ 5 shows 3D microporous MOFs with an 1D channel assembled by the Zn3O(CO2)6 SBUs. In addition, the fluorescence and sorption properties in these cluster‐based frameworks were also investigated. Furthermore, the method employed in this work may provide an useful approach to the design and synthesis of novel cluster‐based frameworks.  相似文献

Zn3(BTC)2 metal‐organic frameworks as recyclable and heterogeneous catalysts were effectively used to catalyze the synthesis of benzimidazole derivatives from o‐phenylendiamine and aldehydes in ethanol. This method provides 2‐aryl‐1H‐benzimidazoles in good to excellent yields with little catalyst loading. The catalyst was characterized using different techniques such as X‐ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X‐ray (EDX) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) spectroscopy.  相似文献

Porphyrins and metalloporphyrins can generally show attractive structural motifs and interesting properties. A new copper porphyrin, namely poly[[μ‐chlorido‐[μ5‐5,10,15,20‐tetrakis(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐21H,23H‐porphine]tricopper(I)] [aquadichloridocopper(II)]], {[Cu3(C40H24N8)Cl][CuCl2(H2O)]}n ( 1 ), was synthesized by the self‐assembly of copper chloride with 5,10,15,20‐tetrakis(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐21H,23H‐porphine under solvothermal conditions. The structure of this copper porphyrin was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography and elemental analysis. The porphyrin macrocycle shows a distorted saddle geometry, with the four pyrrole rings slightly distorted in an alternating mode either upwards or downwards. The copper ions show three‐coordinated triangular and four‐coordinated square‐planar geometries. Every copper–porphyrin unit connects to 12 others via four μ4‐bridging Cu2Cl moieties to complete the three‐dimensional framework of compound 1 , with isolated CuCl2(H2O) units located in the voids. This copper porphyrin displays a red photoluminescence. Electrochemical measurements showed that compound 1 has two redox waves (E1/2 = ?160 and 91 mV).  相似文献

Two new mononuclear coordination compounds, bis{4‐[(hydroxyimino)methyl]pyridinium} diaquabis(pyridine‐2,5‐dicarboxylato‐κ2N,O2)zincate(II), (C6H7N2O)2[Zn(C7H3NO4)2(H2O)2], (1), and (pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylato‐κ3O2,N,O6)bis[N‐(pyridin‐4‐ylmethylidene‐κN)hydroxylamine]zinc(II), [Zn(C7H3NO4)(C6H6N2O)2], (2), have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffractometry. The centrosymmetric ZnII cation in (1) is octahedrally coordinated by two chelating pyridine‐2,5‐dicarboxylate ligands and by two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. In (2), the ZnII cation is coordinated by a tridentate pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylate dianion and by two N‐(pyridin‐4‐ylmethylidene)hydroxylamine molecules in a distorted C2‐symmetric trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry.  相似文献

We report two new 3D structures, [Zn3(bpdc)3(2,2′‐dmbpy)] (DMF)x(H2O)y ( 1 ) and [Zn3(bpdc)3(3,3′‐dmbpy)]?(DMF)4(H2O)0.5 ( 2 ), by methyl functionalization of the pillar ligand in [Zn3(bpdc)3(bpy)] (DMF)4?(H2O) ( 3 ) (bpdc=biphenyl‐4,4′‐dicarboxylic acid; z,z′‐dmbpy=z,z′‐dimethyl‐4,4′‐bipyridine; bpy=4,4′‐bipyridine). Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis indicates that 2 is isostructural to 3 , and the power X‐ray diffraction (PXRD) study shows a very similar framework of 1 to 2 and 3 . Both 1 and 2 are 3D porous structures made of Zn3(COO)6 secondary building units (SBUs) and 2,2′‐ or 3,3′‐dmbpy as pillar ligand. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and PXRD studies reveal high thermal and water stability for both compounds. Gas‐adsorption studies show that the reduction of surface area and pore volume by introducing a methyl group to the bpy ligand leads to a decrease in H2 uptake for both compounds. However, CO2 adsorption experiments with 1′ (guest‐free 1 ) indicate significant enhancement in CO2 uptake, whereas for 2′ (guest‐free 2 ) the adsorbed amount is decreased. These results suggest that there are two opposing and competitive effects brought on by methyl functionalization: the enhancement due to increased isosteric heats of CO2 adsorption (Qst), and the detraction due to the reduction of surface area and pore volume. For 1′ , the enhancement effect dominates, which leads to a significantly higher uptake of CO2 than its parent compound 3′ (guest‐free 3 ). For 2′ , the detraction effect predominates, thereby resulting in reduced CO2 uptake relative to its parent structure 3′ . IR and Raman spectroscopic studies also present evidence for strong interaction between CO2 and methyl‐functionalized π moieties. Furthermore, all compounds exhibit high separation capability for CO2 over other small gases including CH4, CO, N2, and O2.  相似文献

Two zinc(II) coordination polymers, namely [Zn2(bptc)(DMF)2(H2O)]n ( 1 ) and [Zn(bptc)0.5(DMA)]n ( 2 ) (H4bptc = biphenyl‐3,3′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylic acid, DMF = N,N′‐dimethylformamide, DMA = N,N′‐dimethylacetamide), were obtained under solvothermal conditions by varying the reaction solvents. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses revealed that compound 1 features a 3D PtS type framework based on dinuclear [Zn2O(COO)2] subunits and compound 2 features a 3D lvt type framework based on paddle‐wheel shaped [Zn2(COO)4] subunits. Moreover, the luminescent and thermal stabilities of these two compounds were investigated.  相似文献

A metal–organic framework with a novel topology, poly[sesqui(μ2‐4,4′‐bipyridine)bis(dimethylformamide)bis(μ4‐4,4′,4′′‐nitrilotribenzoato)trizinc(II)], [Zn3(C21H12NO6)2(C10H8N2)1.5(C3H7NO)2]n, was obtained by the solvothermal method using 4,4′,4′′‐nitrilotribenzoic acid and 4,4′‐bipyridine (bipy). The structure, determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis, possesses three kinds of crystallographically independent ZnII cations, as well as binuclear Zn2(COO)4(bipy)2 paddle‐wheel clusters, and can be reduced to a novel topology of a (3,3,6)‐connected 3‐nodal net, with the Schläfli symbol {5.62}4{52.6}4{58.87} according to the topological analysis.  相似文献

A porous rtl metal–organic framework (MOF) [Mn5L(H2O)6?(DMA)2]?5DMA?4C2H5OH ( 1? Mn) (H10L=5,10,15,20‐tetra(4‐(3,5‐dicarboxylphenoxy)phenyl)porphyrin; DMA=N,N′‐dimethylacetamide) was synthesized by employing a new porphyrin‐based octacarboxylic acid ligand. 1? Mn exhibits high MnII density in the porous framework, providing it great Lewis‐acid heterogeneous catalytic capability for the cycloaddition of CO2 with epoxides. Strikingly, 1? Mn features excellent catalytic activity to the cycloaddition of CO2 to epoxides, with a remarkable initial turnover frequency 400 per mole of catalyst per hour at 20 atm. As‐synthesized 1? Mn also exhibits size selectivity to different epoxide substrates on account of their steric hindrance. The high catalytic activity, size selectivity, and stability toward the epoxides on catalytic cycloaddition of CO2 make 1? Mn a promising heterogeneous catalyst for fixation and utilization of CO2.  相似文献

The reactions of the new nitrilotriacetic acid N′,N′,N′‐tri(salicyloyl)trihydrazide (Ntash) with the corresponding metal salts gave four new complexes [Pb4(bshz)2] · 2DMF ( 1 ), [Co2(bshz)(C5H5N)6] · 2ClO4 · (C5H5N) · 2H2O ( 2 ), [Cu3(fshz)2(C5H5N)2] ( 3 ), and [Zn3(fshz)2(C5H5N)3]n · 2DMF ( 4 ), in which two multidentate ligands, namely N,N′‐disalicyloylhydrazine (H4bshz) and N‐formylsalicylhydrazide (H3fshz) were generated in situ from Ntash. The structures of these complexes were determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Complex 1 presents a novel tetranuclear lead(II) cluster structure with the four lead(II) cations in “hemidirected” coordination spheres. The neighboring tetranuclear clusters of 1 are connected by DMF molecules through weak Pb–O bonds, forming one‐dimensional ribbons. Complexes 2 and 3 show dinuclear and linear trinuclear structures with the corresponding CoIII and CuII ions in distorted octahedral and square‐planar coordination environments, respectively. Complex 4 exhibits a one‐dimensional zigzag chain structure. The magnetic properties of 3 and the photoluminescent properties of 4 were also investigated.  相似文献

The porous metal–organic framework (MOF) {[Zn2(TCPBDA)(H2O)2]?30 DMF?6 H2O}n ( SNU‐30 ; DMF=N,N‐dimethylformamide) has been prepared by the solvothermal reaction of N,N,N′,N′‐tetrakis(4‐carboxyphenyl)biphenyl‐4,4′‐diamine (H4TCPBDA) and Zn(NO3)2?6 H2O in DMF/tBuOH. The post‐synthetic modification of SNU‐30 by the insertion of 3,6‐di(4‐pyridyl)‐1,2,4,5‐tetrazine (bpta) affords single‐crystalline {[Zn2(TCPBDA)(bpta)]?23 DMF?4 H2O}n ( SNU‐31 SC ), in which channels are divided by the bpta linkers. Interestingly, unlike its pristine form, the bridging bpta ligand in the MOF is bent due to steric constraints. SNU‐31 can be also prepared through a one‐pot solvothermal synthesis from ZnII, TCPBDA4?, and bpta. The bpta linker can be liberated from this MOF by immersion in N,N‐diethylformamide (DEF) to afford the single‐crystalline SNU‐30 SC , which is structurally similar to SNU‐30 . This phenomenon of reversible insertion and removal of the bridging ligand while preserving the single crystallinity is unprecedented in MOFs. Desolvated solid SNU‐30′ adsorbs N2, O2, H2, CO2, and CH4 gases, whereas desolvated SNU‐31′ exhibits selective adsorption of CO2 over N2, O2, H2, and CH4, thus demonstrating that the gas adsorption properties of MOF can be modified by post‐synthetic insertion/removal of a bridging ligand.  相似文献

The structures of coordination polymers are strongly influenced by the organic ligands and metal ions used for their construction, so it is important to choose suitable ligands and metal ions and appropriate synthetic processes. Two novel d10 coordination polymers, namely poly[[diaquabis(2,2′‐bipyridine)[μ4‐4,4′‐(1,4‐phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene‐1,2‐dicarboxylato)]dizinc(II)] dihydrate], {[Zn2(C22H10O10)(C10H8N2)2(H2O)2]·2H2O}n, (1), and poly[[diaquabis(1,10‐phenanthroline)[μ4‐4,4′‐(1,4‐phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene‐1,2‐dicarboxylato)]dicadmium(II)] dimethylformamide disolvate], {[Cd2(C22H10O10)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)2]·2C3H7NO}n, (2), have been synthesized from 4,4′‐(1,4‐phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene‐1,2‐dicarboxylic acid) (H4L) and two different N‐containing auxiliary ligands through a mixed‐ligand synthetic strategy under a solvothermal environment. The structures were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, powder X‐ray diffraction, elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. Compounds (1) and (2) both present one‐dimensional chain structures and two‐dimensional supramolecular layer structures constructed by weak hydrogen bonds. It is interesting to note that the carboxylate ligands reveal stable trans configurations in both compounds. The fluorescence properties of (1) and (2) in the solid state were also investigated.  相似文献

The dipyridyl‐type building blocks 4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(pyridin‐3‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole (3‐bpt) and 4,4′‐bipyridine (bpy) have been used to assemble with ZnII in the presence of trithiocyanuric acid (ttcH3) to afford two coordination compounds, namely bis[4‐amino‐3,5‐bis(pyridin‐3‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole‐κN3]bis(trithiocyanurato‐κ2N,S)zinc(II), [Zn(C3H2N3S3)2(C12H10N6)2]·2H2O, (1), and catena‐poly[[[bis(trithiocyanurato‐κ2N,S)zinc(II)]‐μ‐4,4′‐bipyridine‐κ2N:N′] 4,4′‐bipyridine monosolvate], {[Zn2(C3H2N3S3)4(C10H8N2)3]·C10H8N2}n, (2). Single‐crystal X‐ray analysis indicates that complex (1) is a mononuclear structure, while complex (2) presents a one‐dimensional chain coordination motif. In both complexes, the central ZnII cation adopts an octahedral geometry, coordinated by four N‐ and two S‐donor atoms. Notably, trithiocyanurate (ttcH2) adopts the same bidentate chelating coordination mode in each complex and exists in the thione tautomeric form. The 3‐bpt co‐ligand in (1) adopts a monodentate coordination mode and serves as a terminal pendant ligand, whereas the 4,4′‐bipyridine (bpy) ligand in (2) adopts a bidentate–bridging coordination mode. The different coordination characters of the different N‐donor auxiliary ligands lead to structural diversity for complexes (1) and (2). Further analysis indicates that the resultant three‐dimensional supramolecular networks for (1) and (2) arise through intermolecular N—H...S and N—H...N hydrogen bonds. Both complexes have been further characterized by FT–IR spectroscopy and elemental analyses.  相似文献

Reaction of N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide), C20H18F2N4O2, ( LF ), with zinc chloride and mercury(II) chloride produced different types and shapes of neutral coordination complexes, namely, dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ2N,O]zinc(II), [ZnCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 1 ), and dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ4O,N,N′,O′]mercury(II), [HgCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 2 ). The organic ligand and its metal complexes are characterized using various techniques: IR, UV–Vis and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopies, in addition to powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography and microelemental analysis. Depending upon the data from these analyses and measurements, a typical tetrahedral geometry was confirmed for zinc complex ( 1 ), in which the ZnII atom is located outside the bis(benzhydrazone) core. The HgII atom in ( 2 ) is found within the core and has a common octahedral structure. The in vitro antibacterial activities of the prepared compounds were evaluated against two different bacterial strains, i.e. gram positive Bacillus subtilis and gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The prepared compounds exhibited differentiated growth‐inhibitory activities against these two bacterial strains based on the difference in their lipophilic nature and structural features.  相似文献
