Novel steroidal (6R)‐spiro‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoline derivatives have been synthesized by the cyclization of steroidal thiosemicarbazones. Thiosemicarbazones have been synthesized by the reaction of steroidal ketones with thiosemicarbazide. All the compounds have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, mass and elemental analyses. The antibacterial activities of these compounds have been first tested in vitro by the disk diffusion assay against two Gram‐positive and two Gram‐negative bacteria, and then the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values have been determined with the reference of standard drug amoxicillin. The results showed that steroidal thiadiazoline derivatives exhibited better antibacterial activity than the steroidal thiosemicarbazone derivatives. Chloro and acetoxy substituents on the 3β‐position of the steroidal thiadiazoline ring increased the anti‐bacterial activity. Among all the compounds, compounds 7 and 8 were found better inhibitors as compared to the respective drug amoxicillin.  相似文献

A series of new ethyl 2‐(ethoxyphosphono)‐1‐cyano‐2‐(substituted tetrazolo[1,5‐a]quinolin‐4‐yl)ethanoate derivatives have been synthesized for the first time of tetrazolo[1,5‐a]quinoline derivatives. Elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR and mass spectral data elucidated the structures of the all newly synthesized compounds. In vitro antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds have been investigated against Gram‐positive Bacillus subtilis, Gram‐negative Escherichia coli and two fungi Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger in comparison with standard drugs. Significantly microbiological behavior of these newly synthesized derivatives possesses significant antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

An efficient, simple, and green procedure for the synthesis of isoxazol‐5(4H)‐one derivatives are described here through a convenient one‐pot, three‐component reaction at room temperature. The title compounds are isolated in high to excellent yields and after short reaction times, and are characterized by various spectroscopic methods such as IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR. The synthesized compounds 4a–c and 4e–i were tested for their in vitro activity against a panel of Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, demonstrating their ability to inhibit microorganisms with a zone of inhibition ranging from 15 to 30 mm, minimum inhibitory concentration between 250 and 900 μg/mL, and minimum bacterial concentration between 700 and 1000 μg/mL.  相似文献

We investigated the antibacterial activity of some new macromolecules such as bis‐pyrazoline, bis‐pyrazole, bis‐pyrimidines prepared from the reaction of bis‐chalcone with thiosemicarbazide/phenyl hydrazine/guanidine hydrochloride/thiourea. All the macromolecules have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass and elemental analyses. The antibacterial activity of these compounds was first tested in vitro by the disc diffusion assay against two Gram‐positive and two Gram‐negative bacteria, and then the minimum inhibitory concentration was determined with the reference to standard drug chloramphenicol. The results showed that pyrazoline derivative showed better antibacterial activity on S. typhimurium and E. coli than the reference drug chloramphenicol.  相似文献

The results showed that steroidal thiadiazoline derivatives exhibited better antibacterial activity than the steroidal thiosemicarbazone derivatives. Chloro and acetoxy substituents on the 3β‐position of the steroidal thiadiazoline ring increased the antibacterial activity. Among all the compounds, compound 7 and 8 were found better inhibitors of both types of bacteria (Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative) as compared to the respective drug amoxicillin. All the synthesized compounds were well characterized by spectroscopic methods such as IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR mass, and elemental analysis and their stereochemistry was also discussed.  相似文献

A new series of chalcones, pyrimidines, and imidazolinone is described; chalcones ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g , 4h , 4i , 4j , 4k , 4l , 4m , 4n , 4o ) were prepared from the lead 4‐[2‐(5‐ethylpyridin‐2‐yl)ethoxy]benzaldehyde. Pyrimidines ( 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d , 5e , 5f , 5g , 5h , 5i , 5j , 5k , 5l , 5m , 5n , 5o ) were prepared from the reaction of chalcones and guanidine nitrate in alkali media. Imidazolinones ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g , 6h , 6i , 6j , 6k , 6l , 6m , 6n , 6o ) were synthesized from the reaction of pyrimidine and oxazolone derivatives (prepared by Erlenmeyer azlactone synthesis). The structures of the synthesized compounds were assigned on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR spectral data. All the products were screened against different strains of bacteria and fungi. Most of these compounds showed better inhibitory activity in comparison with the standard drugs. J. Reaction of phenoxyacetic acid hydrazide with isocyanate was used to the synthesis of new semicarbazide derivatives. Cyclization of these compounds in a 2% aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide led to formation of 1,2,4‐triazole‐3‐one. The chemical structure of synthesized compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods (1H and 13C NMR). On the basis of the NMR, spectra were found that cyclic compounds 1,2,4‐triazole exist in the ‐one form. Moreover, all derivatives were examined for their in vitro activity against some species of bacteria. New compounds presented mild or moderate antimicrobial activity only against reference Gram‐positive bacteria. Two derivatives (one semicarbazide and one triazole) showed bactericidal or bacteriostatic activity.  相似文献

Some new fluorine‐substituted pyrazolopyrimidine derivatives ( 1.3 – 1.5 ) have been synthesized by the multistep reactions, starting from reaction of 4‐fluorophenyl malanonitrile ( 1 ) with guanidine, followed by ring closure reaction with hydrazine to give 2,4‐diamino‐6‐aryl‐pyrimidine‐5‐carbonitrile ( 1.2 ). Structure of the compounds was conformed by the spectral and elemental analyses. The antibacterial activity of these compounds was tested in vitro by the disk diffusion assay against two Gram‐positive and two Gram‐negative bacteria, and then the minimum inhibitory concentration was determined with reference to the standard drug chloramphenicol. The results showed that compound 1.5 is better at inhibiting growth as compared with chloramphenicol of both types of bacteria (gram‐positive and gram‐negative). Molecular orbital calculations were carried out by using the density functional theory. The B3LYP/6‐311 + G** level of theory was employed to explore LUMO–HOMO gap energy and charge distribution of compounds 1.1 to 1.5 . Docking studies were performed on bacterial glucosamine‐6‐phosphate synthetase enzyme. Density functional theory calculations and docking studies support the in vitro findings.  相似文献

The thiosemicarbazone coordinates to metal through the thionic sulfur and the azomethine nitrogen. The thiosemicarbazone was obtained by the thiosemicarbazide with 3‐acetyl‐2,5‐dimethylfuran by microwave irradiation. Metal complexes were prepared by the reaction of thiosemicarbazone with metal salts. IR, 1H, 13C NMR, FAB‐mass spectroscopic methods, and elemental analysis elucidated the structure of these compounds. The antibacterial activity of these compounds were first tested in vitro by the disk diffusion assay against two Gram‐positive and two Gram‐negative bacteria, and then minimum inhibitory concentration was determined, chloramphenicol as reference drug. The results showed that copper ( II ) metal complex of the thiosemicarbazone ( 1.1 ) is a better inhibitor as compared with chloramphenicol.  相似文献

A series of 2‐methyl‐5‐nitroaniline derivatives, 5a – 5k and 6a – 6f , were synthesized in order to determine their in vitro antimicrobial activity. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses, UV‐visible, FT‐IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral studies. The structure‐activity relationships of the synthesized compounds were also discussed. Among the synthesized compounds, 5f , 5d , 6b and 6e showed good antimicrobial activity compared to standard drugs.  相似文献

(1,5‐Dimethyl‐3‐oxo‐2‐phenyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrazol‐4‐yl)carbono‐hydrazonoyl dicyanide was used as a key intermediate for the synthesis of novel pyrazole, isoxazole, pyrimidine, and pyridazine derivatives. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and spectral data (IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, and mass spectra). The compounds were tested for their in vitro antibacterial activity against Gram‐positive bacteria as (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis ) and Gram‐negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli ). The investigated compounds were tested against two strains of fungi Botrytis fabae and Fusarium oxysporum using diffusion agar technique. The biological results showed clearly that most of the synthesized compounds revealed mild to moderate activity against the used microorganisms.  相似文献

A convenient and efficient strategy has been devised for the synthesis of bipyrido‐fused coumarins employing Kröhnke's pyridine synthesis approach. In the present work, 4‐hydroxycoumarins 1a – d were reacted with appropriate chalcones 2a – c to afford desired bipyridyl‐fused coumarins 3a – l . The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds 3a – l were ascertained by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectral data, and elemental analyses. The compounds were further evaluated for their antimicrobial response against representative panel of pathogens, and the results thus obtained were compared with those of standard drugs. Few of the derivatives 3c , 3f , and 3i exhibited promising potency.  相似文献

Imidazo[4,5‐c ]pyrazole derivatives ( 3a–f , 4a–f , and 5a–f ) were efficiently synthesized by one‐pot three‐component reactions using CeO2–MgO as the catalyst. The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectroscopic analyses. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds against various bacterial and fungal strains was screened. Compound 3b was highly active [minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC): 0.5 μg/mL] against Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus , and compounds 3b , 3f , 4d , and 4e were highly active (MIC: 0.5, 2, 2, and 0.5 μg/mL, respectively) against Gram‐negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae , relative to standard ciprofloxacin in the antibacterial activity screening. Compounds 3b and 4f were highly active (MIC: 4 and 0.5 μg/mL, respectively) against Aspergillus fumigatus and Microsporum audouinii in the antifungal activity screening compared with the clotrimazole standard.  相似文献

An efficient one‐pot reaction has been developed for the synthesis of 2,3‐dichloroquinoxaline derivatives 3a – n . The reaction was performed in two steps via a silica gel catalyzed tandem process from o‐phenylenediamine and oxalic acid, followed by addition of phosphorus oxychloride (POCl3). A variety of 2,3‐dichloroquinoxalines have been obtained in good to excellent overall yields. Eight known compounds 3a – 3h were characterized by IR, 1H‐NMR, and mass spectroscopies. Compounds 3i – 3n without spectroscopic data were characterized by IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, and mass spectroscopies.  相似文献

An efficient and simple method developed for the synthesis of 6‐methyl‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydro‐N‐aryl‐2‐oxo/thio‐4‐arylpyrimidine‐5‐carboxamide derivatives ( 4a‐o ) using UO2(NO3)2.6H2O catalyst under conventional and ultrasonic conditions. The ultrasound irradiation synthesis had shown several advantages such as milder conditions, shorter reaction times and higher yields. The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed by FT‐IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectra.  相似文献

Novel substituted derivatives of 3‐aryl‐5‐cyano‐6‐methylthiopyrimidine‐2, 4‐diones were synthesized by the reaction of ethyl 2‐cyano‐3,3′‐dimethylthioacrylate with arylureas in good yields. The structures of all title compounds were evaluated by elemental analyses and 1H NMR spectra and compound 2c was also confirmed by X‐ray diffraction. A new 5‐arylidene‐4‐oxo‐(sulfonamoyl phenyl)‐spiro[thiazolidinone‐2,2′‐steroids] series (7–10) was prepared by condensation of sulfanilamide, sulfapyridine and sulfadiazine sulfa drugs with testosterone, epiandrosterone and progesterone steroids, respectively. The resultant imino derivatives 1–3 upon cycloaddition with thioacetic acid in dry 1,4‐dioxane afforded 3‐sulfo‐namoylphenylspiro[4‐oxo‐thiazolidin‐2,2′steroids] (4–6). The latter compounds (4–6) upon condensation with p‐fluorobenzaldehyde in ethanol‐piperidine yielded the corresponding 4‐fluoroarylidene derivatives 7, 8 & 9, respectively. All the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by UV, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectral data, elemental analysis and molecular weight determination. In vitro antimicrobial screening of some of the synthesized compounds showed good antimicrobial activities towards some pathogenic Gram‐positive, Gram‐negative bacteria and fungi vs. piperacillin and mycostatine antibiotics as standard antibacterial and antifungal agents, respectively. The voltammetric behavior of two newly spirothiazolidinone steroids ( 2a & 5a ) was critically studied. Compound 5a physically immobilized polyurethane foam solid sorbent was successfully used for removal and/or separation of bismuth(III) from water.  相似文献

A series of carboxamide and cyano functionalized pyridone derivatives 4a – q have been synthesized via one‐pot synthesis of various aldehydes 1a – q , acetoacetanilide 2 , and cyanoacetamide 3 . The reaction was simple and afforded pyridone derivatives in good yield, 89 to 93%. The novel pyridone derivatives were achieved by Hantzch one‐pot synthesis. Moreover, the synthesized compounds were screened against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria and fungi for their activity. Among them, compound 4c shows highest inhibition at 4.25 mm against Staphylococcus aureus and 3.75 mm against Escherichia coli Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, respectively.  相似文献

A new series compounds of quinoline derivatives were synthesized by reaction of 3‐(carboxymethyl)‐2‐arylquinoline‐4‐carboxylic acids 1a , 1b , 1c with different nucleophiles. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of FTIR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR spectral data, GC/MS, and chemical analysis. Investigation of antimicrobial activity of all new compounds was evaluated using a broth dilution technique in terms of minimal inhibitory concentration count against four pathogenic bacteria and two pathogenic fungi. Most of the new compounds were significantly active against bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

An efficiently synthesis of chromones via cyclodehydration of corresponding 1‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐3‐(pyridine‐3‐yl)propane‐1,3‐dione is described under ultrasound irradiation. A series of novel 2‐(pyridine‐3‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one derivatives was confirmed on the basis of 1H‐NMR, mass, IR spectral data, and elemental analysis. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Most of the compounds were found to be comparable potent than the reference standard drugs. Utilization of ultrasound irradiation, simple reaction conditions, isolation, and purification makes this manipulation very interesting from an economic and environmental perspective.  相似文献
