We have experimentally demonstrated vibration analysis of a reflecting object in time-average mode using shearing interferometry and interferometric grating. Experimental results show that time-average moiré fringes, formed between fringe pattern reflected from object and sinusoidal grating are modulated spatially by the amplitude of vibrating tilt. From the experimental results, information regarding tilt of vibrating objects can be determined.  相似文献

We describe a Talbot interferometer for measuring a vibrating phase object. The time-average fringes are moiré patterns modulated by the zeroth-order Bessel function. They provide information about the tilt at every point of a vibrating plate, for example. The Talbot interferometer is robust (common path) and cheap (printers grids as beam-splitters). The experiments can be performed with laser illumination or with a collimated beam of white light. Some experimental results are shown.  相似文献

This communication presents the results of investigation undertaken towards testing the viability of wavelet filtering techniques in analyzing the Lau interferometric fringes. Towards this, the applicability of Haar, Daubechies and Symlet wavelet based filtering schemes have been tested. Of these schemes, the Symlet based filtering scheme gives the best results in terms of improved signal to noise ratio. This scheme is then used to analyze Lau interferograms recorded in the experimental arrangement for tilt angle measurement. The processed interferograms yield improved accuracy and precision of measurement.  相似文献

New filtering scheme is investigated and implemented on Lau interferometric fringes to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the Lau interferograms. A method employing pulsed illumination for the holographic analysis of vibration with space-variant phase is described. Superimposition of two stroboscopically recorded interference patterns to get the amplitude and the phase of vibration at the intersections of fringes is suggested. Contour maps of these two quantities over the entire object surface can then be prepared by interpolation. Detailed solutions are presented for single and double frequency vibrations.  相似文献

In this paper we have investigated the utility of Lau phase interferometer with linear gratings and white light source to measure temperature and temperature profile of an axisymmetric flame. The temperature measured using Lau phase interferometer is in good agreement with the temperature measured with thermocouple and datalogger. In traditional interferometric measurements, a physical quantity that changes the phase of a resonator is monitored through a change of its transmission. Interferometry inside a laser exploits the ultimate Q‐factor of that resonator, and converts the phase to be measured into a frequency. A mode‐locked laser with two intracavity pulses emits two frequency combs of the same repetition rate. The quantity to be measured (a sub‐nano displacement, a nonlinear index, an acceleration or rotation, a magnetic or electric field) produces a minute phase change ( rad) in one of the two intracavity pulses, which is converted into a frequency, measured by beating the two pulse trains emitted by the laser. This paper presents methods of operating mode‐locked lasers in which two independent pulses circulate, producing two frequency combs of the same repetition rate. Various examples of physical quantities that can be measured through this technique are presented.  相似文献

高精度干涉检验移相算法对振动误差的免疫能力   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
对移相干涉测量中影响移相稳定性,从而产生测量误差的小幅度机械振动进行了研究,建立了振动误差模型,仿真分析了Wyant84b三步算法、Hariharan87五步算法、七步算法和十三步算法4种不同移相算法对振动的免疫能力。模拟结果显示,十三步算法对振动的免疫能力最好,与已发表文献成果吻合,说明本文的模拟具有较高的可信度,在一定程度上能够对影响干涉仪精度的振动误差进行合理预测,并能够起到评价和筛选移相算法的作用。  相似文献

Real-time electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) was used for tuning and visualization of natural frequencies of a trapezoidal plate. The plate was excited to resonant vibration by a sinusoidal acoustical source, which provided a continuous range of audio frequencies. Fringe patterns produced during the time-average recording of the vibrating plate—corresponding to several resonant frequencies—were registered. From these interferograms, calculations of vibrational amplitudes by means of zero-order Bessel functions were performed in some particular cases. The system was also studied analytically. The analytical approach developed is based on the Rayleigh–Ritz method and on the use of non-orthogonal right triangular co-ordinates. The deflection of the plate is approximated by a set of beam characteristic orthogonal polynomials generated by using the Gram–Schmidt procedure. A high degree of correlation between computational analysis and experimental results was observed.  相似文献

The use of a grating in the form of modulation of birefringence in a BSO crystal in a novel Lau interferometer set-up is proposed. The system behaves as a conventional Lau interferometer implemented by using two amplitude gratings. Moreover, it permits control of the visibility and provides a contrast inversion of the interferometric fringes by rotating a polarizer. Two alternative experimental arrangements with similar performance are presented. A theoretical approach is outlined and the predicted behavior is confirmed by results obtained under different experimental conditions.  相似文献

In order to realize real-time displacement measurement with high resolution, sinusoidal phase modulation and integrating-bucket method are introduced in the self-mixing interference (SMI) system firstly. The phase of the laser beam is modulated by an electro-optic modulator (EOM) in the external cavity. Theoretical analysis, simulation results and error evaluation are presented. Experimentally, the micro-displacement of a high-precision commercial PZT is reconstructed and the reconstruction accuracy is on the order of nanometers for displacements of a few micrometers.  相似文献

In-process measurement has been the requirement of the precision industries, but due to vibrations while manufacturing, in-process measurement has been difficult to achieve. There is little work on in-process measurement using phase shifting interferometry, as phase shifting is extremely sensitive to vibrations. In this work, the advantage of the developed non-mechanical and instantaneous phase shifting interferometry is felt while measuring surface profile of large flat surfaces under vibrating conditions which can be extended for in-process measurement of surface profile. A near common path optical configuration is achieved and the effect of the environment is reduced. Moreover, the measurement of phase is instantaneous which increases the versatility of this technique for measuring vibrating objects. Profile measurements were carried out on a smooth mirror surface excited with vibrations of different frequencies and the technique was found to be immune to vibrations of up to 1000 Hz.  相似文献

A time-average electronic speckle shearing interferometer (ESSI) has been used for modal damping measurement. This is effected by a new fringe enhancement technique. The damping factor of a cantilever measured by using this technique agrees well with the value measured by using the accelerometer method. The study shows that time-average speckle interferometry can be used as a convenient tool for modal damping measurement.  相似文献

解调算法是干涉测量的关键技术之一, 通过初步搭建的光纤式光热干涉装置对相位载波解调算法进行了仿真与实验研究。介绍了装置采用的单光路垂直反射式干涉结构, 阐述了相位载波调制解调的机理, 并利用光纤式光热干涉装置, 通过向压电陶瓷施加不同电压来模拟实际大气气溶胶吸收情况完成对相位载波算法解调能力的检验, 并与不同质量浓度NO2标准气体下的实测相位信号、仿真解调相位信号和通过干涉条纹计算法获得的结果进行对比验证, 证明相位载波解调算法可以满足光纤式光热干涉气溶胶吸收测量装置的信号解调工作的要求。  相似文献

If a laser beam illuminates a continual deformation object surface, it will lead to a temporal speckle pattern on the observation plane. Recording this time-dependent speckle pattern the deformation of the surface of an object can be obtained. Two methods, scanning phase method (SPM) and time sequence phase method (TSPM), have been introduced for measuring the displacement caused by the deformation in temporal speckle pattern interferometry (TSPI). Their principle is that by capturing a series of speckle interference patterns related to the object deformations, the fluctuations in the intensity of the interference patterns can be obtained. Through scanning these fluctuations and estimating both the average intensity and modulation of the temporal speckle interference patterns, the phase maps for whole-field displacements are calculated. In this way one is capable of quantitatively measuring continual displacements simply using a conventional electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) system without phase shifting or a carrier. The elaboration on the new methods is given in this paper and experiments are performed to demonstrate their performance with a conventional ESPI system.  相似文献
