Copolymers with various contents of 4-methacryloyloxyphenyl-3′,4′-dimethoxystyryl ketone (MPDSK) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) were prepared in methyl ethyl ketone solution using benzoyl peroxide as a free radical initiator at 70 °C. Characterization of the resulting polymers was done by UV, FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. The copolymer compositions were determined by 1H NMR analysis. The monomer reactivity ratios were calculated using linearisation methods such as Finemann-Ross (r1 = 0.4283 and r2 = 0.3050), Kelen-Tudos (r1 = 0.4264 and r2 = 0.2606), and extended Kelen-Tudos (r1 = 0.4022 and r2 = 0.2704) methods as well as by a non-linear error-in-variables model (EVM) method using the computer program RREVM (r1 = 0.4066 and r2 = 0.2802). The molecular weights ( and ) and the polydispersity index of the copolymers were determined by gel permeation chromatography. The thermal stability of the copolymers increases with increase in concentration of MPDSK. Glass transition temperatures were determined by differential scanning calorimeter under nitrogen atmosphere. The photoreactivity of the copolymers having pendant chalcone moieties was studied in chloroform solution.  相似文献

Three and four bond order couplings between carbonyl carbon and other neighboring protons have been investigated in detail with the help of 2D heteronuclear multiple bond correlation (HMBC) spectrum. The methine and methylene protons in pentad and tetrad configuration were found to couple with carbonyl carbon. The intensity ratio of methylene protons’ cross peaks in HMBC spectrum shows that 50% of poly methyl acrylate (PMA) is in isotactic and 50% is in syndiotactic configuration. The configurational analysis was mainly carried out with the help of 2D HMBC spectrum.  相似文献

The preparation of 4′-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (2) under acidic conditions results in the formation of the salts [H22][MeOSO3]2 and [H22][EtOSO3]2, treatment of which with base leads to neutral 2. The structure of [H22][EtOSO3]2 · H2O has been established by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complexes [Fe(2)2][PF6]2 and [Ru(2)2][PF6]2 have been prepared and characterized, and the single crystal structure determination of [Ru(2)2][PF6]2 is reported; [Fe(2)2][PF6]2 is isostructural with [Ru(2)2][PF6]2. Treatment of [Fe(2)2]2+ with PdCl2 produces [Pd(2)Cl]+, isolated and structurally characterized as the hexafluoridophosphate salt, illustrating that metal exchange within the tpy-binding domain occurs in preference to palladium(II) coordination by the N-donor atom of the pendant 3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl unit in 2. [Pd(2)Cl]2+ can also be prepared from PdCl2 and [H22][MeOSO3]2 in refluxing methanol.  相似文献

Copolymers containing N-vinylcarbazole (V) and butyl methacrylate (B) units of different compositions were synthesized and their compositions were determined from quantitative 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopy. The reactivity ratios of the comonomers were estimated using the Kelen-Tudos and non-linear error in variable methods. The complete spectral assignment in terms of compositional and configurational sequences of the overlapping 1H and 13C{1H} spectra of the copolymers were done with the help of distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer, 2D heteronuclear single quantum correlation and total correlated spectroscopy experiments.  相似文献

Two series of mesogens derived from the non-activated spiropyran dyes 6-hydroxy-1 ,3 ,3- trimethylspiro\[2H -1-benzopyran-2,2-indoline] (series trimethylspiro\[2 H -1-benzopyran-2,2-indoline] (series 2 ) have been synthesized. Analysis by differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing microscopy and X-ray diffraction showed compounds in series 1 form monotropic nematic and SmA phases, while compounds in series 2 form only a monotropic nematic phase.  相似文献

Under microwave irradiation,2,2'-alkoxy-bridging or 4,4'-alkoxy-bridging dibenzaldehydes reacted with 4-hydroxycoumarin in DMF to give a series of 3,3',3″,3'″-o-and 3,3',3″,3'″-p-phenylenedimethylidinetetrakis-(4-hydroxy-2H-1-benzopyran-2-ones) in moderate yields.The structures of the synthetic coumarin derivatives were characterized with IR,1H NMR and MS spectroscopy as well as X-ray single crystallography.  相似文献

Six amphiphilic star copolymers comprising hydrophilic units of 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) and hydrophobic units of methyl methacrylate (MMA) were prepared by the sequential group transfer polymerization (GTP) of the two comonomers and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) cross-linker. Four star-block copolymers of different compositions, one miktoarm star, and one statistical copolymer star were synthesized. The molecular weights (MWs) and MW distributions of all the star copolymers and their linear homopolymer and copolymer precursors were characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), while the compositions of the stars were determined by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy. Tetrahydrofuran (THF) solutions of all the star copolymers were characterized by static light scattering to determine the absolute weight-average MW () and the number of arms of the stars. The of the stars ranged between 359,000 and 565,000 g mol−1, while their number of arms ranged between 39 and 120. The star copolymers were soluble in acidic water at pH 4 giving transparent or slightly opaque solutions, with the exception of the very hydrophobic DMAEMA10-b-MMA30-star, which gave a very opaque solution. Only the random copolymer star was completely dispersed in neutral water, giving a very opaque solution. The effective pKs of the copolymer stars were determined by hydrogen ion titration and were found to be in the range 6.5-7.6. The pHs of precipitation of the star copolymer solutions/dispersions were found to be between 8.8-10.1, except for the most hydrophobic DMAEMA10-b-MMA30-star, which gave a very opaque solution over the whole pH range.  相似文献

Compounds 1-7 form a novel group of dithiocarbamates, first synthesized from the reaction of a series of primary amines with carbon disulfide and 3-bromo ethyl pyruvate in the presence of anhydrous potassium phosphate. Structure elucidation of this group of compounds was accomplished using extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic studies, including (1)H, (13)C, COSY, NOESY, HSQC, and gHMBC experiments. The distinction between the linear structures I, II and the cyclic structure III was made mainly on the basis of the analysis of the cross peak between H-2 and H-4a in the COSY spectra, in combination with the long-range correlation between H-2 and C-4, 6 in the gHMBC spectra.  相似文献

New bianthracene-quaterpyridine ligand 6,6″′-bis(anthracen-9-yl)-2,2′;6′,2″;6″,2″′-quaterpyridine L has been obtained in a multistep synthesis using Suzuki–Miyaura and Stille-type coupling reactions. The dianthracene ligand L has four nitrogen-donor atoms and can form different supramolecular architectures with transition metal ions. Ligand L and intermediate compounds have been characterized by spectroscopic methods and elemental analyses. 2-(Anthracen-9-yl)-6-bromopyridine and 6-(anthracen-9-yl)-6′-bromo-2,2′-bipyridine have been also characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Two new pentacyclic triterpenes, sorbinols A (1) and B (2) have been isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Sorbus cashmariana and their structures assigned from (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra, DEPT and by 2D COSY, NOE, HMQC and HMBC experiments. 2‐Styrylchromones, although scarce in nature, constitute a group of oxygen heterocyclic compounds which have shown significant biological activities. Poly[(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl methacrylate)] [poly(solketal methacrylate) (PSMA)] was synthesized by free radical polymerization. By partial hydrolysis of the acetal group, random copolymers of SMA with 2,3-dihydroxypropyl methacrylate (DHPMA) were synthesized whereas complete cleavage lead to poly(2,3-dihydroxypropyl methacrylate) (PDHPMA). The copolymer composition was determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy. FTIR spectroscopy indicates the synthesis of random copolymers with different degrees of hydrogen bonding as measured by a shift of the OH vibration bands. The glass transition temperature of the random copolymers increases linearly with increasing DHPMA content, resulting in a positive deviation from the Fox equation. The thermal degradation of both homopolymers and their random copolymers has been studied. Finally, the solution behaviour of the copolymers and PDHPMA in water studied by dynamic light scattering showed a strong tendency of the polymer chains to form clusters in the size range of 15-62 nm. The size and the kind of associating interactions within the clusters strongly depend on the copolymer composition.  相似文献

Copolymerization of isobornyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate ( I/M ) is performed by atom transfer radical polymerization using methyl‐2‐bromopropionate as an initiator and PMDETA/CuBr as catalyst under nitrogen atmosphere at 70 °C. The copolymer compositions determined from 1H NMR spectra are used to determine reactivity ratios of the monomers. The reactivity ratio determined from linear Kelen–Tudos method and non‐linear error‐in‐variable method, are rI = 1.25 ± 0.10, rM = 0.84 ± 0.08 and rI = 1.20, rM = 0.82, respectively. 1D, distortion less enhancement by polarization transfer and 2D, heteronuclear single quantum coherence, and total correlation spectroscopy NMR experiments are employed to resolve highly overlapped and complex 1H and 13C{1H} NMR spectra of the copolymers. The carbonyl carbon of I and M units and methyl carbon of I unit are assigned up to triad compositional and configurational sequences, whereas β‐methylene carbons are assigned up to tetrad compositional and configurational sequences. Similarly, methine carbon of I unit is assigned up to triad level. The couplings of carbonyl carbon and quaternary carbon resonances are studied in detail using 2D hetero nuclear multiple bond correlation spectra. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The enantiomers of the title compound, the important photochromic material (RS)-1b, have been enriched semipreparatively by liquid chromatography. As a consequence, we were able to determine the barrier of the thermal interconversion (R)-1b(S)-1b via time-dependent polarimetry, amounting to ΔG=85.9 kJ/mol at 22.0°C in d6-DMSO (Table 2). The thermal equilibration of the corresponding merocyanine 2b was monitored in d6-DMSO by time-dependent 1H NMR, resulting in ΔG1=102.8 and ΔG2=92.0 kJ/mol at 22°C (Table 1). This means that, starting from (RS)-1b, the opened isomer 2b is attained by a slow reaction (ΔG1=102.8 kJ/mol, Fig. 4). Therefore, the merocyanine 2b cannot be identified with the intermediate required for the fast process of C(sp3)–O bond cleavage (ΔG=85.9 kJ/mol) upon the above enantiomerization of (RS)-1b. Apparently, these two thermal isomerizations (Fig. 4) are independent of each other. The structure of the unknown intermediate of the interconversion (R)-1b(S)-1b must therefore differ from the known one of merocyanine 2b.

1. Introduction

Many derivatives of 1′,3′,3′-trimethylspiro[2H-1-benzopyran-2,2′-indoline] 1a (Scheme 1) are of interest because of their photochromism.[2] The parent molecule 1a can be transformed photochemically into the merocyanine 2a which isomerizes thermally with a very high rate back to 1a.[3] Therefore, unsubstituted 1a has no practical value with respect to photochromism. This situation changes upon the introduction of a nitro group into the 6-position: the title compound 1b has probably been cited in the literature most often among all photochromic materials. The corresponding merocyanine 2b is obtained by irradiation and reverts to the equilibrium mixture (Scheme 1) consisting predominantly of the spiro compound 1b. The rate of isomerization of 2b is much lower than that of the 2a1a reversal.[3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8] Although analogs have now been found which are more stable to light than 1b, the latter has been significant for the development of practical applications of photochromism and continues to be significant for basic research,[2, 9 and 10] e.g. with respect to 1b chemically bonded to another molecule. A further nitro group in the 8-position again changes the properties: only a very small amount of the spiro compound 1c appears in the thermal equilibrium[11 and 12] ( Scheme 1) in dipolar aprotic solvents, which means that the observed photochromism is a reversible one with limited applicability.  相似文献
